Dew

~
Her sweet dewed her fringe
to her forehead.
She had nibbled on the
ivy with leaves of gold
which she turned to powder.
Her eyes filled with passion
as she cups her hands to
drink the flame-laced
syrup born on from
Falling moons

Twenty Three ^.^
Lyn-Purcell Jun 2018
I'm getting older
Blessed to live another year
Now I'm twenty three

Today is a gift!
A celebration of life.
I'm grateful to breathe

Life truly is short
So many dreams in my heart
Never enough time

Though I am still scared
My heart burns with hopes and dreams
I want to shine too

Age is a number
Now is when I take that step
Towards my future

Words, my history
Success is my destiny
Come stability

Lyn the little bird
Feel the wind, flutter your wings
Take flight and sing loud
Guess who's now officially 23!
Man, i don't feel any different but still.
Another year, another blessing! ^.^
Thank you to everyone here for giving me the confidence I need when it came to my work! You guys are awesome!
Much love

Fellow logophiles,
let us grab the silk and stitch
the words.

For we have that power
to move the Heaven and
Earth.
Words are beautiful by nature, by creation.
It's how we use that can add beauty of ugliness to this world.

Short poem, but honest.

The bookshop is alot bigger than
one would assume. High beige
walls, large rounded windows,
Staircases that lead to the upper
levels but most of all, books -
paperback, hardback, leather-
bound all resting comfortably
in the tall polished bookcases.

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
All are in order, some alphabetised,
some colour-order.  They can even
see quills, inkpots, canvases, pencils,
letters and stamps all neatly in place.
The shop owner, a curly, black-haired,
strong man in a white shirt, brown
trousers and shoes, standing on a
stool, dusting away the cobwebs.

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
When he hears the bell ringing, he
turns and spots Esshi and Ainhara
standing there. Smiling, he hops
down and walks to them.
"Welcome to my bookshop, ladies!"
he beams. "My name's Michael.
And your names?"

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
"I'm Hara," says Ainhara calmly
before gesturing to Esshi and Lyn.
"This is Shia and Nyl."
"Nice to meet you all," he greets
them and kisses their hands gently.
"Is there anything that you're
looking for in particular?"
Some more filler.
I'm sorry, writer's block *****...
But I wanted to update this series! I hope this week will be more inspiring for me.

Drastic changes to be made
Answered by whispers

The noise is now still
My focus is on the sound
Eyes open, born new
Zen music is my soul food.

Another Piece of Advice

A tongue needs no bones
Mine is lemon and honey
Prickly by nature

I have what you don't
A balanced filter for two
For sour and sweet

A tongue needs no bones
To cut in and wound someone
So, wield your sword well
Based on an incident that happened today. There is a time and a place to say things but some things should not be said, let alone thought.

✿⊰✲⊱✿
Paul's courtyard is always one to
be admired; high cream coloured
arches with white statues of birds
upon sleek mint-green marble steps.
His myrtle hedges, high, hale and
trim, in spiral shapes that decorate
the courtyard; potted flowers and
trees by them.

✿⊰✲⊱✿
As the carriage rides down the mosaic
path to the palace; a glittering rainbowtic
mosaic orchestra for the eyes; me and
my ladies look to see the large-marble statues
built upon a large pond with waterlilies;
a life-sized history lesson of the proud
Kings of Luciuscemi from the first to
the current, King Paul, in his carved
regalia.

✿⊰✲⊱✿
The music grows into a crescendo as we
approach the palace. We admire his private
pool houses, each of various colours but had
mahogany steps and hanging flower baskets
and lights which makes me smile - I usually
came to Paul's court to discuss treaties but
to also relax and get away from home.
Paul always made sure his guests were
taken care of.

✿⊰✲⊱✿
"Look, my Lady!" says Ainhara and she points
at the benches of flowers; daffodils, roses,
lavender, rosemary, mint, white lilies
and many more. "He put flowers there in
your honour."
"Not just mine," I smile, "but of all his friends
from Kingdoms near and far. I am looking
forward to seeing him again."

Body and Glaze
Lyn-Purcell Aug 2018

The tongue is dipped into
sun-like ink. Prepared and
with its slick tip, it makes its
trail from the body, to shoulder,
to neck and to lip,
Round and round, focused,
skilful.

Soft, slow and steady
upon a body of the finest ivory.
Teasing as it swirls, twists and
turns, to make a body with love
and beauty.

As it rightfully desires to be marked,
to be loved,
to be teased,
and desired.

So when the tongue moves away,
and the trail finally sets, I hold
up the bashful body as if it were
sacred. I watch it glow and
instinctively know, that
it will stand the
test of time.

A beauty above all else...

Something rather sensual about painting a ceramic bowl ;)

Lesson Learned #93
Lyn-Purcell May 2018
You shouldn't feel the need to apologise
for burning so brightly.
When you get your success, don't apologise.
There will ALWAYS be people who will make you feel guilty or expect you to do things for them.
They would want to ride on your coattails and have a piece of the action.
It's cool to do things for them, just don't overdo it.
And most importantly, relish the ride!

eating too much until the honoured guests
arrive." I smile.
"As do I. Enjoy your snacks. I'll bid the time
with more admiration for Paul's collection of art...
after saving your handmaids from Paul's relentless
flirting."
He points at Paul with a flushing Esshi and a
giggling Ainhana as I shake my head.
"As you will." I smile.

✿⊰✲⊱✿
King Omni, Fugue and Emeka are all
seated on one table laughing. I notice
King Edmund tucking a rose behind his
wife's ear; Queen Sarita and Jugnu sit
with Kim, Yidna and Sue all laughing,
Queen Robin and Fawn admire the ice
sculptures. True to his word, King Brandon
went to save Esshi from turning more deep
shades of red, playfully scolding Paul for
embarrassing her. We are all having a good
time until it is broken by the herald's cry,
"Queen Donna of Vesian! And her husband, King Dean!"

Upon an oak
boat

I float on the sea
like a petal

swilling down
sun-kissed liquor

the gentle waves
rocking the boat

cleaning my
hanging feet

the kind winds
so cooling

The fingers of
light caress me

seemingly flirting
with my skin

The skies dawn
into a shade of blue

bright, clear and true
With closed eyes

I hear the whispers
of the sea's secrets

as my oak and I
wash up on shore

my feet meet the
sand first and then

my buttocks
the water strokes the

stones and the
belly of the oak

crashing back to make
sand angels with

the firewater in hand
I sigh close my

eyes and open my
mind to the magic

that is under the
golden sun
A poem based on a lucid dream I just had.
With so much chaos around, I wish I had the luxury to sail away and forget all my troubles.

Then her eyes falls onto the various tiger lilies,
leopard lilies and the Queen Mother's
favourite of them all, calla lilies.
How each of them fill the air with
perfume-sweet songs! Each flower are near
the manmade pools, and bird baths and
the large stone fountains.
Florists are talking and laughing
as they made several flower arrangements,
each featuring the calla in it's classy glory.

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
"Lady Ainhara?" she hears the guard snap
her from her thoughts.
"Ah, sorry." Ainhara follows him towards
the Moon-Lily Gate, the circular opening
that Queen Lyn has ordered be created
during her visits to East. The door is
made of iron-bars that are sculpted,
taking the shape of the proud peacock;
another favourite of the Queen Mother,
which the guards open.

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
"Hold on." Ainhara quickly skips over the stone
paths to one of the florists. "Make a flower
arrangement for the Queen herself. Use all
of her favourites. And...if you can, use lavender.
When you're done, hand it to Esshi... give her
a quill, inkpot and paper. She'll know what to do.
She's currently in the Kitchens."
"Right away, Lady Ainhara," the florist nods.

~ ⚪♫⚪ ~
'Hopefully this will make our Mistress smile...'
With a smile, Ainhara runs back to the Guard
and exits through the Moon-Lily Gate and
out of the gardens until she comes to the
side entrance of Aurelinaea's grand palace.
'And just in time too!'
Riding into the Royal Courtyard are
many merchants with wagons and
wagons of crates and trunks;
silver Aurelinaean guards riding white
mares beside them.
SURPRISE! ^^

Lesson Learned #101
Lyn-Purcell Jun 2018
People come from all walks of life
You can agree or disagree but
never ever breach that
level of respect.
Call me old-fashioned but this is one thing I hate about this day and age. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but yet they attack people FOR HAVING a **** opinion. And I'm like 'really'. Gone are the days where you can have disagreements with people respectfully. At the end of the day, it's their **** opinion. It's not fact. I'm friends with people from all around the world. No matter the religion, sexuality, race or perspective, we still respect each other's opinions. We don't get butthurt over it.
This day and age is spoiled and entitled. I know its not EVERYONE but its the majority of people.
You can talk about anything, just don't be a ***** about it.

Milk maid with gold crown
Rose-tinted cheeks glow with warmth
Smiles with loving grace

New day, new haiku!
I'm feeling alot better today, thankfully!
I'm going to be working on the Charites now.
The three goddesses of beauty, grace, joy, dance and song and I'm starting with Aglaia, who was also known as Kharis, and she was the wife of Hephaestus. She brought him much joy, splendor and glory (which is what her name translates to) and bore him children after the whole Ares-Aphrodite incident.

She gave birth to four more Charites with Hephaestus which I will write about about the main three are done. The Charites are depicted as beautiful naked women , I've seen alot of art and I remember seeing an ivory story of them in a museum with some friends. They truly were gorgeous to behold.

I truly believe Aglaia is good for Hephaestus, he deserves some love and warm, and I wanted to show that in the haiku.
Anyway, thank you all for growing followers, I'm forever humbled and grateful for the support 🙏🌹💜

The truth is the truth can be a defeat as well as victory.
The truth is the truth is a sword and shield.

There are people who sing

There are people who can rap

and

There are people who rap

There are people who can dance

There are people who can write

and

there are people who write

The difference is that with ones who 'can' are
usually the ones you bob your head
to as well as acknowledge.

But with the ones who just do what they do?
There are the ones who touch your soul.
Everyone is different, of course. I do listen to people who can sing, but I usually listen to the ones who do what they do. They are the ones who have that power to touch your very soul with what they do. Those people who do what they do have an aura of pure light...
Appreciate them.

More Lanterns as promised - or should I say Lynterns *giggles*
Goodbye faux friends and toxic people, hello freedom!!!
Yeah, I'm gonna have to take it easy with the poems with my throbbing headache. I am relieved to know that my blood is healthy, but until I find out what the main source of these headaches, I'm gonna slow down a bit with how much I post.
Thank you guys for everything!

I beseech thee to hold up the
silvern lantern

Be thy guiding light and
walk with me into

Trick or Treat
Lyn-Purcell Nov 2017
There is one thing people can learn from Halloween.
We live a a world where people are
tricked by the ones
they treated right.
Sad, but true.

Don't look back,
move on.
Keep moving forward.
Don't let past mistakes or closed chapters distract you.

Pass
Lyn-Purcell Sep 2018

Many years and tears pass
till we stare and rise
from the ashes
of love

Just a short poem before I hit the hay.
Tommorow is interview day!
...save me...

...Beauty...
Lyn-Purcell Jul 2017
Beauty isn't in the breast implants
Beauty isn't in the pouty lips
Beauty isn't in the **** implants
Beauty isn't in the skin bleaching
Beauty isn't in the small waistline
Beauty isn't in the tight clothing
Beauty shouldn't be paid for just to be
looked at.
Just to have millions of followers on
social media
Just to be accepted.

And yet, we praise it.
We praise what is artificial over what's real.
We praise those willing to expose themselves
Yet you call them *****, and slams the opposite
for being *****.

You feel entitled to see a woman's exaggerated
body
That contributes to their deaths
That contributes to the deep need that they ask themselves

      "Am I beautiful now?"
Women killing themselves just to be accepted and desired...
How far humanity has fallen for the impossible beauty standards

Astral
Lyn-Purcell Sep 2017
The Sun is the Father, strictly ablaze.
The Moon is the Mother, serenely benevolent.
Mercury is the Child, innocently babbling.
Venus is the Sister, beautifully affectionate.
Mars is the Brother, stubbornly resilient.
Jupiter is an Elder Man, wizenedly kind.
Saturn is Elder Woman,  knitting wisdom.
Uranus wields the Hammer of Change.
Neptune plays the Harp of Dreams.
Pluto swings the Blade of Strife.

All Nodes have a written destiny...

Tomorrow will be today
Today will be yesterday

That one yesterday I
promised to get work
done!

Quills in the inkpot
Papers scattered but
they're ready

But I put it off for tomorrow
                                           tomorrow
                                tomorrow
                                        tomorrow

The same tomorrow of today
when today is yesterday

It's become my art form
Wasting time for tomorrow,
the thief!

The thought is so daunting
Ever so daunting

Of a piece of my work
that is left unfinished
Procrastination...
It's so easy to get into.
I've put so much of my work on hold because of it.
One excuse becomes a thousand and what I wanted to do rarely gets done.
Happens to the best of us!

Be back soon!

~
The few should never represent
the many.
~

No one, not even a celebrity, should speak for you or represent you.
Do that yourself. I'm speaking to every single race out there.
Because as soon as a celebrity says something you dislike or disagree with,
YOU are the ones who get all up in your feelings. Their mistakes should never represent a community as a whole. This is one of the many reasons why I stopped putting celebrities on pedestals.
Man, I'm so glad I now have downtime! ^^
Thank you guys so much for your patience!
Working on the Masked Bard series now!

Fleet

The rivers of youth and the blessing
of outer beauty will fleet
But it will live on eternal if your soul
holds onto it.
Beauty is only ever skin deep.

How...?
Lyn-Purcell Nov 2017
How can I become a star if
I don't attempt to reach for them?

How can I be a champion if
I don't overcome the roars of battle?

How can I claim to be one of the light if
I don't raise from myself from shadow and blood?

How can I love purely if
I still have venom in my heart and eyes and voice?

How can I face death with a smile if
I deny myself the chance to truly live?

My body is marred by the scars of justice.

The air of the Earth has choked me with its
treachery from the minute I was born.

My eyes blinded by the desert dust of life;
lies and trails and heartache.

My blood will water my passion, my legacy,
which I have fought to create...tooth and nail.

I need to make it so.
I always wonder how I can do certain things in my life...the most important thing is to find a way to make it so.

Chorus
Lyn-Purcell Jul 2018
Grass sways soft and still
Sweet chorus and cry from far
Birds swoop and soar high
Sun is shining, the birds are singing!
I have a feeling today will be a good day!
