Slowly, your memory fades
Swiftly, your promises wanes
Trembling in wrath
My words sharp as a sword
To shoot like a gun
But now, you are gone
And I freely moved on
I feel no hurt
I say no curse
you were a little bit of happiness in a storm of madness,
today I received a gentle reminder of your beautiful soul,
wish I could get two more weeks with you, although, I know it wouldn’t be enough,
I become selfish when it comes to you
Fantasio Milian
I look back at our past
And see the devil’s footprints in the sand
Violent waves have washed away
The tears I shed
While all you did
Was sharpen your horns

With the skull on your scepter
You turned my head like an owl
My love was a gentle candle
And you caused the fire to spread
I am engulfed by venomous flames
And all I see is red.
8:16 pm
I want to gather the twigs
of your blown down shelter,
cradle your wasted heart
in the dim cedar light
this shared lonely flame,
between the two of us,
we can keep it breathing
and ourselves

I want to smooth your dark brow
press my warmth into you
if we huddle together
our storms may blow over us
sweet spectacular man,
even in sorrow you shine brighter than any
you’re worth sharing
this little light
I have left
One, open your heart to ...
Two, remember that I love ...
Three, fight to be ...
Four, find out what you here ...
Five, live while you're ...
Six, there's always something to ...
Seven, no hell no ...
Eight, do don't ...
Nine, this world is neither yours nor ...
Ten, still can't make up my mind about the egg or the hen.
The face in the mirror
the look in the eye's
that reflection ain't me it's just a disguise
the fading of hair
the wrinkles that bend
it's just a life story that's told on my skin
this man in the mirror he ain't really me
their's a child inside that want's to be free
that woman of mine you could say she's the same
sometimes in the covers we laugh and play games
but as I get old and my life bears thin
I think of the fun
and think of the friends
so you could say i'm kind of bold
it's just a part of getting old
A poem my dad wrote on his 45th birthday
we all thought it was funny but truth is
I think it was the greatest one he ever wrote
Maria Mitea
A child's smile
A cup of tea
A walk in the woods
A fleeting sense of serenity
An eruption of joy
A magic moment
in the labyrinth
of our existence
the days grow shorter
the nights bring the need for these
artificial lights
When I was a child,
I was taught poetry wasn't mild,
It was deep as the sea,
And it seemed truly unachievable for me.
I was taught poetry had to rhyme,
Every single line, every single time.
So poetry seemed out of my reach,
Like chasing a seagull down a beach,
Jumping ever so slightly away,
Or soaring into the sunny day.

So I never thrived for what I thought would,
No, Could
Never be.

I guess now I'm fixing the mistakes of past me.

Tread the fallen leaf trail
Of no avail, my cares disband
And like an unrelenting gale
As my adrenal gland
Expands, secretes
A fervent surge
Emergent forward
Motion urge
A dirge of shrieking madness purges
Toxin sweaty streaming sheen
The thin veneer constricts the skin
But cools it to the touch of crisp
And briskly wispy
Autumn’s kiss
Like whiskey I’m besotted by
The heady high,
The dizzy sky,
The halcyon
Todays gone by

everywhere i go
"i want to be anywhere but here"
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art

Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads

A strand
Its all I've got
Some people have
Some people have not
A strand is all I've got

A strand
Its all I've got
Some people have little
Some people have lots
A strand is all I've got

A strand
Its all I've got
My strength is failing
Win? Nah, probably not
Because a strand is all I've got

A strand
That's all
That's all I've got
A strand is all I've got
This one is pretty self explanatory. I don't have much left to hold onto. I wanted to express that using as few words as possible. That way the poem structure relates to only having a strand as well. I love reading this one. Its exactly what I was after when I thought up the idea.

She could not keep her head up
She fought
She was in despair
She asked if I could be her bridge
She cried, she begged
Yes, I said
I will be her bridge over the troubled waters
I will save her
Save her from the abusive relationship
Save her from emotional turmoil
But I always knew she'll walk off
Once she feels safe

I still did it.
I chose to be her bridge
I let her use me.

It's been said,
If you love something
Let it go

So you did
And I'm free,

But I'll return

You love me

Whenever I put the phone down
To go walking,
To work the soil,
To garden,

Or ride some river road
Beneath trees,
Feel the breeze...

I realize with Frost
That nothing gold can stay,
That the witching light of screens
Takes fleeting gold away.

My body tells me that you're mine...
my mind doubts that when the sun sets
on the youth of our life, we'll stay...
my heart has no protection,
it doesn't want to bleed again...
As I stare at you,
through the mirror of our lives,
I reflect on the dejected lies
that love has taught us-
yet I long to be deep with you...
all over again.

Is it the words whispered
in secret corridors
i love you

are they proclaimed boldly
from roof tops

Or maybe love
sounds like laughter
giggles shared only between two

what if love has no noise
its beauty is similar to a sunset
seen and felt
but never heard
my flowers are
in different worlds
your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that
I’ll fade to you,
In the Sierra Nevada blue

Your emerald eyes,
I will never recognize

Chasing the dawn,
Drawn the swan

Of our flourishing love,
Venus envies our dove

I want to drown in your heart,
I sincerely hope you’re smart

Interlock and chain,
Your pain in my geometric domain

I’ll solve it like my upcoming exam,
Acing it before you say “Aries and Uncle Sam”
Virgos love the best ;)
My poems are going mediocre again...sorry about the lack of inspiration.
P.S. Will look into this after med. school in 20 years...
*I took college geometry as an eighth grader; it was a breeze, honestly.
**My first (and probably last) horrible attempt to write a love poem to nobody in particular.
***I consider love to be honorable; no one deserves to have their heart broken by someone selfish.
The last note is especially dedicated to @sadnspicy0 and @Owen.
I'm not stable enough for love
I'm not kind enough for love
I'm not worthy enough for love
I'm not ready for love
Lord please save me
I don't feel human
I don't have strength
I don't belong
I don't want to live
I'm nothing but depressed
A lost case
A piece of work
A damaged ex
Will I ever turn my life around?
And see the world differently?
Like it's meant to be
Like I have a destiny
Like anyone wants me
To be here

I write, therefore I am.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems like *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

another day of taking my coffee
and making my breakfast

making sure to close the door softly
i sit down to reflect at long last

so much going on
am i ahead of behind
i dont know

picked up the pen to write
for the third time this week

thought it was all alright
but then i was unable to speak

sat alone for fifteen minutes
i wrote nothing down the entire time

clean up my mess walk inside diminished
it hurts when i cant read my mind

or eat my food
the breakfast was untouched

another thing i cant do
what am i to do
struggles, block, food, softly, bobwax2020

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

Sorrow down to "earth"
Happiness up to "sky"
If filled it up, to "fly"
If filled it down, to "die"

If we were all condensed
into one
I'd pat their cheek-
my cheek-
and speak
as friendly
as I could

Well done til here
well done
Lean back and breathe
Overall we are managing things as well as we can, don't you think so? :)
I thought I was dreaming when you said you loved me.
You uttered I was a fantasy...
The whole world unravelled and gave way beneath me,
Revealing a colourful universe.
A world I fell in love with.

But now you’re gone...

And you don’t love me anymore.

And I am lost...

Sunk back into the darkness.
Broke my wings
So I couldn’t

So I stole his soul
So he couldn’t

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

What if
                    you hadn't forgotten
                                                                   the love
                                                                                           you felt for me.
Would we
                                 be happy
                                                                or feel
                                                                                             trapped.
