To look at a soul
and not seek
the face
of beauty

To look at a soul
and not need anything more than it offers
too many are judged, in such cruel,
unfair disgust

Look at the beauty of scars
pain, hurt
... despair

If you seek beauty
you will never
truly see
the beauty of a soul
i really want you to fall in love me with me.
i really want to fall in love with you.
i really want us to fall in love with each other.
JA Perkins
He left a letter on the dresser
addressed to whom it may concern.
It read "Never falter under pressure
before the tides can take their turn.
Everything is dying -
The likes of man and all his pleasure.
From paper planes we're flying
to the wooden chests of treasure.
But one Truth will always stand
long after the last word here is spoken:
There's always been a heavenly hand
to heal the heart that's broken."
Some people live long lives,
Some people die long deaths
Nargis Parveen
Will I be entrapped into new eyes?
Will I?
Those eyes touch my solitude
On the sly.

He loves so much uttering no words
Silence only silence!
Keep smiling hiding sheer pain
A lovely ambience.

If I say I love him immensely!
Will he stop breath?
Submerging himself in deep sea?
Will he embrace death?

His lips are burnt by cigarette
But mind's intact,
I wish to fly colorful kites there
No worry about impact.

Hey boy! I am telling you,
To you I belong,
I feel drunkard benumbed insane
Chanting Love song.
Kirui Frank Junior
If money is not everything;
Then why is life hard without money?
I'm asking!
I'd get you the moon,
I'd steal the stars,
I'd burn to take the sun's flames.
I want to see you soon,
I want no more scars,
I want to make sure this flame still burns.
But if it doesn't,
Don't use me.
I'm sick of being cheated,
I want someone to love me.
Not my body.
I’m here
I write
To leave a mark
That this pain
Is within me
I’ll die
I’ll be forgotten
My words
Will cease to exist
A proof
That I once
Was here.
Here's something warm for your system
Problems you just missed them

Todays going to be a good day
I miss
The buzz of your touch
The high of your kiss

The ease of
your arms wrapped around me

So tight that
nothing bad could ever touch me
KJ Reed
Some people hate silence,
a cruel thing,
that brings with it loneliness,
long derived soliloquies of self torment.
I thrive in silence.
For, what other time can one sing,
and be heard by everyone,
and no one at all.
Because I am everyone,
and I sing for myself.
If I show you...
Will you stay?
Pieces of me
That fill me with shame
And yet some
Make me feel awesome...

I try so hard to conceal
All my flaws
When I smile
And lie,
"Everything is fine".

Slow suicide
To feel more alive
I am am mess...
Can you fix me?
Or will you leave me?
It's almost funny
The way I fall
In love with anyone
It shouldn't be this way
It shouldn't be you
But it is
And how am I
Supposed to help it
I'm just a kid
With a head full of clouds
And a heart full of dreams
That I can't quite reach
I love my guilty pleasures
But you aren't
Even guilty
You're just a man
That I don't know
You're just a man
That I'll never know
And I will daydream
About meeting you
In separate places
I could be your doll
You're not
A work of art
And darling that's okay
Let's keep it that way
You'd think I was crazy...
all i ever wanted was the love you gave
now its just a memory there for me to save
all the miss you nights keeping me awake
never thought that one day my heart you would break.

you just walked away you wanted to be free
rip my world apart broke the heart in me
now my world is empty not like it used to be
in the world i knew there was you and me.

lonely nights and heartache a heart thats broke in two
memories i dream of. and the love i knew
all i ever wanted was the love you gave
now it just a memory there for me to save

you just walked away you wanted to be free
rip my world apart broke the heart in me
now my world is empty not like it used to be
in the world i knew there was you and me.

I’m a simple man and nothing more, of mediocre means neither rich nor poor.

People misunderstand my quirky ways, I don’t seem to give a flying fig these days.

I’m more than content with the man I’ve become, I march to the beat of my own drum.

I wear my failures like the finest weaves, but not foolish enough to wear my heart on my sleeve.

My imperfections I keep at my feet, so as not to trip I keep up with the their beat.

Don’t look to me as shrewd or savvy, I just found in myself a way to be happy.

Do you know what is the worst pain in life...
To see the disappointment in the eyes of your loved ones...
When they see you...
The sigh, which they made...
When they see you...
which hold a lot of meaning...
Hurts like hell...
Their eyes and silence talks much more than them...
Still they  couldn’t understand you...
As you never let anyone...
They don’t know your helplessness or regrets...
They don’t see the pleading in your eyes...
They only saw the arrogance and selfishness....
Yet you smiled and talked...
Like you never saw the hurt in their eyes...

— Jonna Adam
I love you because
You mourn a basement flat I never knew
Because your hair resembles monastery gold
And because you love old poems

I love you because
You listen to the words of tiny children
And because your belly is a mountain
You let me climb whenever it pleases me

I love you because
Together naked we are able to defy mirrors
You gave me the son I always wanted and because
I am unable to find the perfect words to fill this page

some people find heaven in
a smell, a taste or a sound
i found heaven in
my love
The best high I’ve ever felt
Is the one I get when you tell me
You love me
I love you so much
Allow me not to forget
let me pour this pain
until i exhaust myself
with the impossible idea of you

Allow me not to forget
the fragments of yesterday
the stars have witnessed it
the moonlight beams for it
as you slowly
held my hand
"im not in love with you anymore."
We are magnetic
But you put out fires
While I attract them
Yet somehow
I can never
I seek what I lack to give myself , and I seek it with my heart , not my head.
And I feel it with my emotions not logic . So I allow another to take my most valuable possession and I allow them to brake it.

So many can relate , but we hide because we are afraid they will think less of us
keep your eyes closed love.

"keep your eyes closed love. sometimes all you have to listen is to what the sound of the waves tells you to do"

When I was much younger, beaches were my second favorite places. I still love watching waves as they go by, crashing against each other and the whole process repeating all over again.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
Because you're smart, right?
Pretty charming, right?
Love the way the wind whispers and the rain cries.
Love things other than what Girls like.

Because you like bare face, right?
They're a carbon copy, right?
But you, you're a gem in the rough, undiscovered.
You, you're a lifeform with all of nature's secrets.
You, you're much better. [Right?]

You, you're different than those other Girls,

You held back with so much tension,
every time you laid a finger upon my skin,
and I never realized how much
you must've been fighting
your compulsions
to break through me.
Maybe it wasn't so romantic after all...
Midnight Rain
the memory of your
presence is felt like an earth//quake

as if my soul has everted,
my heart has been torn...

every wave of emotion
is felt like the first time.

i become a spineless,

curling into myself
and crying out the storm
that has lived within me

your presence is missed like
cold rain in summer,

like a scarlet fire drawn in the
center of winter,

and when Autumn
leaves fall like teardrops
from trees,

darling, you are missed
like a heartbeat falling from a

and i shatter myself every day
from the earth//quakes your memory gave

you... are missed
most ardently...

you are the life within me now
and i cannot seep you out from
myself without
uprooting everything beautiful
you grew in me.
Alex Gifford
It's that moment
when the pieces
of the puzzle
all combine.

And you see a
glorious picture
that you doubted
that you'd find.

And then after
when the pieces
are inspected
each with care.

You see purpose
and see meaning
each too valuable
to spare.
This came to me all at once. It's an attempt to describe the feeling of your mind being blown when everything lines up and finally makes sense.
Ariana Bagley
I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

A dawn of advance
The world was ready,
The people weren't
And their children heaved through years of framework,
It was progress...

Alas the good deeds
People found new needs,
They set out to reach
The things they would teach...

A night to recall
The battle was won,
The war neverending
Upon it they weaved a special network,
It was useless...

A spun web of fate
Of gaiety and hate,
Forgotten the days,
Of the mortal ways...

An eclipse of minds
Oiled engines and souls,
Young, riotous rage
And they wanted blood for joy and fireworks,
Your acorn eyes
Look at me
Brown, earthly

My heart thuds
As all the worlds clocks
Take their last strike

Time ceases
Could none be so more sorry than myself
If he is found then I need lower still;
For beauty's worth in every kind of wealth,
Albeit depths of my remorseful will.
But is her heart of stone; to let me dwell -
Within the limbo of a mercy's curse,
For if I linger long, I'll know too well;
That she had not so read and felt this verse.
No! This torment cannot be left unread;
By neither eyes nor what does know her name,
Tho' I deserve her cold, what colds unsaid,
Have I so been in love, tho' love to blame.

Through loving pain I birth my sonnet plea
Forgive me-not, then I forgive-not, me.
