pescador.
Agua del golfo, la ondulada y fresca,
deja que riegue la orilla con amor.

No persigas la forma del lucero,
que ni el agua dormida la dar谩;
si 茅l, como un son谩mbulo viajero,
s贸lo viene y se va.

Que, pobres, las corrientes y la charca
encierran ilusi贸n,

pescador!

Oh honey,
Sometimes it鈥檚 the timing that鈥檚 wrong
Not you.
En crespa tempestad del oro undoso
Nada golfos de luz ardiente y pura
Mi coraz贸n, sediento de hermosura,
Si el cabello deslazas generoso.
Leandro, en mar de fuego proceloso,
Su amor ostenta, su vivir apura;

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

But these sheets of rain

And I鈥檇 just as quickly

Don't listen to that voice
The one within your mind
That tells you everything is going to be okay

Because it's not

You know it's not

You struggle every day and every night
Always tired of this fight
It draws you in and lures you too far
Then you're trapped and there's no going back
So why bother?

Why bother?
Why care?
It's not like anyone is there
To hear you cry out for help
Or to see you reach out desperately

So you sit there and you cry

Until the one you truly love comes along
To pull you back from the depths of the hell within your head

In our love for the wind and all that passes,
Each smote of self, a wisp of loss and absence,
Like the snow pendulous slips over last grasses,
In the glow of the lamppost and unholding fences:
So too the thousand-grains of breath
Blow through our bodies鈥 incandescence,
And in the starlit-smoke from the dragon's mouth
On wings of filth swirl the bone-edge of death.

One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don鈥檛 see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
