Grow up, they said
but even as I did
I lost some child like wonder

Now. All I could ever want
Is to grow back down.
your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that
psychotic harmony
i think so

because despite everything
you've put it through
my heart
still loves you
been a time...
a globe of countries

spinning, spinning

you place your finger

where you want to go

"your turn!"

spinning, spinning

my country seems to be

Sonya Ki Tomlinson
Fluttering fingers
of the palm fronds
in our front yard

the vast turquoise bird
flying overhead

O to be able to soar
with you
Sweet bird

Far into the Infinite
Unified approach
I finally pushed that massive stone
There was nothing underneath.....?
Rashonda S Oliver
seeing you
all of you

all of your

seeing into
all of the darkness
of my soul

I just see
all of you
and I desire
to be wrapped up
in your love

all of your soul
I’m seeing...

I’m seeing you
I want to evaporate
Like steam into
The spring air
Melt into the background
Smiling without a care
And have this day stop,
My mind going with it
I want to fly into the
Night sky
It would be so exquisite
Just to float in between the stars
Alight alive and
glowing with the permanence
Of endless limits-
Pink dreaming.

Hope propels
Faith sustains;
always the goal.
must i be punished like this
because i trusted you?
Tanisha Jackland
I tried to hide it

In layers of baggy peasantry

in mishap crinkles of sloppy

Nothing to adorn my face

but its earthy ashen glow

He found me despite this

false exterior

This plump mass of

flesh and matter

He followed the

trail of smolder

leading to my lips

Watched me lick

the air and for an instant

stood immobile

Mouth slightly agape
you finally made me feel special.
I almost thought I was the one.
the one you couldn't let go of.
the one that was always in the back of your mind.
the one that meant everything.
But then I realized.
I'm the one easiest to use.
because I used to cry to you.
and now I cry because of you.
and the worst part is.
you aren't worth my tears,
and that makes them fall even faster
Situated between the stars
A room filled with stardust
Fingertips caressing stars
Hands gripping constellations
You’re a galaxy inside a vessel
Im still wishing I could learn everything about your universe
I will rewrite this, All of these have been turning into you lately
tanvi sharma
in my dreams I am fearless
that's why sleep so much.
so stupid but true
“what are we?” she asked

with despair, he replied, ”we’re nothing”
I will think of you
when I hit my stride
when the energy rushes through me
from vacuum to earth
when I become a lightning rod
and my organs ring like tuning forks
with feet pounding, lungs
expanding capacity
mind reaches out, touches the others
across the grid, touches

I will envelop
with the current of
free love, cascading
from the open gateway in my heart
I will sustain the connection
as long as possible
until time is up

then, endorphins spent
I will swagger to the fountain
heaving, glowing, pink
an empty crucible
like a bud in the night
I wish for a zombie apocalypse
For if a zombie apocalypse were to be
I'd slash and I'd ****
All the undead by will
And then my rage would be free
I feel like fighting somebody smh.
you are beautiful
you're insane
you are the most broken person I've met

a hurricane
a violent rain

I'm cursed to stay by your side
all the bad in my life happens because of you

you're a disaster

two faced
I can never trust you

you play mind games
I believed I loved you
but now it feels fake

the knives you carry on your back
are yours

I made a mistake
I stepped into your life
now trapped inside your reflection
I've become your shadow

you're horrific
a piece of art

from a distance
I can admire you

you are
you are
you are

With your words
The Knife.

Knowing and not knowing,
Afraid and clueless.

A thing that used to be,
The dust on the mantle.

Will never be the same
The blood that was spilled across the floor.

This crime scene filled with pain and sorrow and regret.  The murderer and the victim one in the same—but also separate.  Two hearts that both dance to the same miserable song.
Oof...  I wrote this one a while ago...

(Also this poem is dedicated to my father, like a like a lot of my poems)
The word is easy to say
But hard to master

I pray for patience
But then turn around
and wonder why
I haven’t received
My reward

I want it now
But am I ready?
if they say a one-word poem,
i'll write your name...

Get a job,
a husband or wife.
Make yourself comfortable
in your own life.
So they tell me
or would have told me
if they were still alive.
But they are dying slowly
by the magic pills.
They are no longer there
to protect and care.
I no longer have devils
that whisper and scream.
They can do both
but now they are doing non.
And I can see myself having fun,
not caring or staring
into nothingness.
Yet it leaves me in mourning
to know they are about to die.
Maybe if I hold on a little longer
I won't be lonely and then find myself
a job, husband or wife.
Robert C Ellis
I am the ghost of my own moments
The mathematics of matter forming
I fall through rooms until all light escapes
And smell the friction in my dreams

Gravity can cross the dimensions, including Time
If folded enough, fingers rise from brine
I sleep until I am no longer man
Just matter remembering God is a rhyme.
Flowers bloom
Feelings fade
Left alone.
I am a monster
just like my mother
ignorant of the feelings of others
so self obsessed
hyper-focused on being more
getting more
earning more
ignoring my own feelings
my own self
I was bred to be like a racehorse
in the rat race
and I hurt the ones that love me
because of it
and it hurts
hurting her
when she has loved me
like nothing else
like no one else
I've been a monster

I like to say
your name

when you're
not here

turn you
into sound

conjure you out of
thin air

so that you appear
before me

dressed in sound

memory sketching in
the rest of you

as if sound
was just an outline

and love
colours you in

adding the voice last
so I can hear you say.

"Hello you..!"
and there you are

as present
as present

can be.

I like to say
your name

when you're
not there.
tears glisten in the moonlight,
but it shines too bright.
blocking out reality,
and the sad fatality.
of my heart,
and it's broken parts.
Bury me beneath a pile
of your empty words
So they are not too heavy
for me to rise again
Mark Wanless
slow deer walk on snow
brown on white
large and little
actually saw it,,,my interpretation
i met you
as the leaves fell
and the sky turned grey

the world grew cold
as my heart turned warm

i missed you
as the leaves grew back
and the sky turned blue

the world grew warm
as my heart turned cold

"These violent delights have violent ends."
~William Shakespeare

When the crevices
on my wrists
solder themselves together
and the rich, crimson stanzas
become illegible,
I unsheathe my quill--

melancholy's scribe.

The ink clots,
driblets of red
bleeding through these pages

but I keep writing

this parchment lies
sweetly torn

I smile.

that's what I call

How violently delightful.

Love's only weakness
Is also its greatest strength:
It defies reason

My thoughts on Valentine’s Day
moon child
"I'm an open book"
She says

Written in
Molly Elizabeth
If I had know that I was going to write a poem about you I wouldn't have
If I known I would fall in love with you
I would have never met you
And if I had known how much I would hurt
I would have already been dead

But that's not the way that it works, is it?
We are to find love
Find pain
And everything that goes with
But I never wanted this I never wanted to feel
I hated it so much
You hated me so much
But I can't do much about it now,
Can I?

If I had know
I would never had felt this way
I would have never had my heart leap
And jump out of my chest
If I had known
So much would be different
And you would be long gone
Under the tree
A present awaits
For children thee
That ages from three to eight

Ice cream,cake and pudding
Naughty kids get nothing
Doing things for our siblings
And maybe Santa will do his bidding

But most important of all
Is that we answer His call
To bring the Good News
The one that was brought by the King of the Jews

Salvation by Christ the Son
Brought to each and everyone
Naughty or nice,its your choice
Will you spread the word and rejoice?
They will tell you
All poetry has been written
There is nothing new
Under the moon
But let me tell you
They don’t know you
You are as unique
As the DNA that exists
Within your frame
The ripples on your thumbprint
No one ever had the same.

You have something to say
Say it proudly
Say it boldly
Never let them scold you.

Never let them make you go away.
I love it when someone tells me to keep writing. You should keep writing too!
