A dream is not a noun which stays in our mind.
It is a verb to think and move our hands.

As I walk in the night time
With shadows and fireflies,
I can't help but think of you
Under that moonlit bridge
Where I said we'll meet.
That place where you'd
Read the choruses
And new lines that stretch
Across our faces.

Do you think twice about me?
Is it more?

It's driving me crazy
These isolated thoughts
And empty veins...
Yet you’re in my blood
It boils over and I miss you,
Like hell burning across
The seams of your skin
And on to my lips
I feel your heat wrapped
Legs taking my self loathing
Showing me a new day.

You are still my mornings
And I miss you like hell.
I can't see someone...  And it's making write...

Behind fake design you glare
your eyes covered by shade.
On the other side it's Sunday,
alluring smile spread across your face.
I wish you weren't so far away.
But I'm reminded of a day
when I wanted to say,
you smell....sweet
I hope you don't forget me.

I’m so tired, exhausted I’m fact.
Tired of waiting.
Tired of feeling.
Tired of believing.

I wish I could sleep through it all.
Dream through the hurt.
Dream through the time.
Dream through the numbness.

But I can’t sleep.
Even if I could, I’d still be tired of living.

If I could take all your pain
To hear your laughter
To watch your tears dry
To see your eyes brighten
To experience your happiness
I would with my whole heart.
This is a poem that I wrote about one of my closest friends. She has been through so much and I know that, to see her be happy, I would take up all of her pain, all of her burdens, and all of what she has been through. I know that lately we haven't talked, because of something stupid that I said and of course with this whole pandemic thing that is going on, it is hard because we don't see each other in classes anymore, but if, right now, I could see her and not risk either of us getting sick, and tell her that I am always here for her, that would make my whole day and I, ok now I'm crying. But anyway, this poem is hers. For her. She is one of my best friends and I love her so much.

my mind is full of stars that i can't put into constellations,
all empty words and hopeless destinations
if everything would fall back into place
soon we'd be two standing still in time
with nothing in our way

i love you, but maybe that's too soon
it feels as if i met you only this afternoon
and even if that's the case,
i have nothing else
to say

once you told me
i get in the way of your happiness

now, wherever my tired legs carry me
your fading shadow follows

my surroundings, nothing but props
drenched in memories, dripping our worst and best moments

if only i could soak up the residue
of the most breathtaking wave i have ever laid eyes on

remembering every deafening surf
i surrender myself to the cold pouring rain

each hard drop aches to wash off
the draining past from my empty face

once you told me
i get in the way of your happiness

but pure happiness
is just a colorless green idea sleeping furiously in our innocent minds
stay safe everybody!

Noting changes.
Nothing grows.

Empty highs.
Empty lows.

I can't feel the warm,
And I can't feel the cold.

You try to make me happy,
And I try just for you.
But other than our trying,
Nothing else is new.

I worry I'll upset you,
If I can't make a change.
It's not fair of me,
To make you stay the same.
Don't let me drag you down with me.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

A moment
If I could ask for one thing
It would be a moment
To go back to a brief moment
A time where it was simple
Not a thought
Only a feeling
Not a consequence
Only the present

I wish I could go back
And stay there.

To anyone

Until you
Came along

And changed my perspective
Of the universe

You made me feel
Like I matter

And I'm grateful
For you.

Monsters don’t exist
Still, we are very afraid
Because we made them
Monsters. A concept so often used to represent anything dislikable to society, which we are afraid of. Yet literal monsters don’t exist.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about
you;

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that

Where once
There was laughter
Silence is deafening
I've lost innocence.

I've lost faith.

I've lost my soul to this dreary place.

It's so cold, it's so very dark.

My lonely heart has lost it's spark.

I beg for a little mercy.

I cry for some kind of grace.

There's nothing, not even a trace.

The hellish demons in my mind elope with the ever lasting darkness I've came to find.

The clock has chimed...

I'm out of time.
This is a poem I wrote about the hopelessness I felt while suicidal.

Above this cloud of madness
flows a gentle cool breeze
drifting  away all the sadness
striped butterflies flapping at ease

sound of the waves are heard
once suppressed by the chaos
rhythmic crashing no longer weird
silent therapy broken by the gentle dose

If only one drowns deep can one taste
the salt can be the much needed sweet
where there is no emotion to waste
and only generous soul to greet.
More lonely writing sitting by the window.

I LIKE TO SAY YOUR NAME

I like to say
your name

when you're
not here

turn you
into sound

conjure you out of
thin air

so that you appear
before me

dressed in sound
only

memory sketching in
the rest of you

as if sound
was just an outline

and love
colours you in

adding the voice last
so I can hear you say.

"Hello you..!"
and there you are

as present
as present

can be.

I like to say
your name

when you're
not there.
