Sing with me
With breaths wild and ablaze
On the rooftop, overlooking
The snowy escape

Come with me
Under trees with lanterns adorned
The sugar of maple sap,
The fresh light of morn'
Aimee Phelps
Your core swells
With your *****
Once occupied
By a decrepit dungeon
Now resides
A blossoming garden
Watered by forgotten tears
Cry no more, flower child
For the person you used to be
The face in the mirror
the look in the eye's
that reflection ain't me it's just a disguise
the fading of hair
the wrinkles that bend
it's just a life story that's told on my skin
this man in the mirror he ain't really me
their's a child inside that want's to be free
that woman of mine you could say she's the same
sometimes in the covers we laugh and play games
but as I get old and my life bears thin
I think of the fun
and think of the friends
so you could say i'm kind of bold
it's just a part of getting old
A poem my dad wrote on his 45th birthday
we all thought it was funny but truth is
I think it was the greatest one he ever wrote

I am
driving as
the dappled sunlight hits me
in the face
and it
becomes so visibly
clear to me in
this one moment that

Ebbs and flows,
Valleys and climbs,

They unintentionally told me tonight
That they're proud of me
But I don't cry in front of them
So I have to wait to cry happy tears
Until they fall asleep.
So... I kind of had a ****** day today... I found out that I didn't make the All-State choir that I was so excited to maybe be a part of, and so I was kind of crying for a couple of class periods today... but it started looking up, and I had the first rhythm section practice for our basketball/pep band and that was fun so my day was getting better, and then I got home and I was in my room and coming upstairs for dinner and I heard my parents talking to my brother about what I've been dealing with and how great my grades are they didn't say the actual word "proud" but I could just tell that they were and it made me so happy like seriously... <3

i was never half so naked
as you torturing your genius.

when you put me into poses,
made me lines and blue,
drew me over death,
sketched me skewed
atop your live-in girlfriend.

when you found your lost
and painted,

and when you found it less impressive,
you and that child,
sealed your cold, careless
portrait of me
behind ugly bricks,

made art of your apology,
and grace of your grace.
i don't know how to tell you,
but i've always loved you.
you're my best friend,
but i've always felt more.

it's been 2 years:
2 years of looking into your eyes
and knowing you don't feel the same,
because you're straight.

i love your dyed hair,
i love your music taste,
i love your style,
i love you.

we both know you don't love me like that;
but whenever you touch my arm,
or smile with your perfect teeth,
i fall more each time.

it's the small things:
like when you look to the side and think i'm not watching,
or the giggle when i make stupid jokes.
you're perfect for me,
and that's what hurts the most.
lying on the great expanse of pure white
shining bright as the unforeseen, speckless future
yonder desired and eagerly awaited
snow so thick yet so warm
a coalescence of innocence carpeting beneath the earnest lover
eagerly awaiting for slivers of bliss
flitting through the universe it transcends
,the vastitude of which may limit only if one conceives the boundaries of,
slipping into the fabric of mind and dreams of our lover
a wave of delight washes over
indescribable and overwhelming was the riot of love in the lonesome lover
lying on the snow garnering comfort
from the warmth of memories inked with permanence onto the waiting lover
The winter is long and dark as the moon stares down the earth
He glides over clouds to peak at the gods heart but it was black and burned,聽聽
He sensed the way to reach glory along with flowers and gingerwine
But troubled with the heart of gods, his tongue was nervous as words might slip and yeild his hidden sin
The lonesome moon met my gods and prayed to their souls but senses were not dead for the eye
They said" it was heavy"
When I was a child,
I was taught poetry wasn't mild,
It was deep as the sea,
And it seemed truly unachievable for me.
I was taught poetry had to rhyme,
Every single line, every single time.
So poetry seemed out of my reach,
Like chasing a seagull down a beach,
Jumping ever so slightly away,
Or soaring into the sunny day.

So I never thrived for what I thought would,
No, Could
Never be.

I guess now I'm fixing the mistakes of past me.
I was human once.
I felt happiness,
crawled through pain,
fought with laziness,
danced in the rain,
stared at the sky,
dreamed about moon,
joining his side.
Smiling at noon,
while crying the nights.

Now, I am Polaris between the stars.
The harder your path is. The stronger your glow will be.
At first we are dark. But with time, your light could brighten somebody's path.
I'm better off when I'm dead
Want a bullet through my head

"I love you" that's what she said

overthinking caused her
to set herself apart
she couldn't see

for her too

If you found out that all the terrible things you family have to say about me are true, will you still
Choose me?
If I was fiend in disguise trying to be better for you,
Will you tell them they're right?
Would you still love me?
we'll get through these together
we'll make it through the bad weather;

we know everyday is a new day,
as long as we're here and we'll still stay.

some days are really rainy,
but with you, i feel less lonely;

one day, hand in hand we'll see the sunshine,
and as one sooner we'll feel just fine.
you were
a drug that only worked when i didn鈥檛 need you
a run down
crimson chevrolet
driving so swiftly down
the beachside boulevard
nothing but endless ocean to the left
and a booming city at rest
to the right
i needed you
i wanted to come home
to lie next to you
dreaming of a life full of
and strawberries on silver platters
in the summer
blue skies

star light, star bright
the first star i seen that night

never worked
he's worth
all the judgemental stares

the age difference
she's older
he's beginning to realize it's fate

he doesn't look up to her
he just wants to have fun and make her smile

all she wants is laughter

they wait for every thursday
to feel alive
I miss him most at nighttime,
when I cannot see him,
when he sinks below the ground,
and I cannot see him.

During the daytime,
he shines bright,
and his warm embrace is thrown upon me.
despite his being so far away.

And I feel his love no matter the time of day.

She serenades me with her dreams
And I accompany her with my heart
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art

Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads

It's all poetry!

As though painted by Van Gogh a stream flows in front of the meadow

We sit and prattle, in each other鈥檚 thoughts we dabble, I鈥檇 rather stay than travel, by the brook while it babbles

It's been said,
If you love something
Let it go

So you did
And I'm free,

But I'll return

You love me

Is it the words whispered
in secret corridors
i love you

are they proclaimed boldly
from roof tops

Or maybe love
sounds like laughter
giggles shared only between two

what if love has no noise
its beauty is similar to a sunset
seen and felt
but never heard

The clock is ticking
In the silence of the room,
The sun is shining
Through the morning gloom,
The night is fading,
We are starting soon.
I'm not stable enough for love
I'm not kind enough for love
I'm not worthy enough for love
I'm not ready for love
Lord please save me
I don't feel human
I don't have strength
I don't belong
I don't want to live
I'm nothing but depressed
A lost case
A piece of work
A damaged ex
Will I ever turn my life around?
And see the world differently?
Like it's meant to be
Like I have a destiny
Like anyone wants me

I write, therefore I am.
your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You鈥檇 hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
鈥淚鈥檓 tired,鈥
鈥淚鈥檓 a failure,鈥
鈥淚鈥檓 stupid 鈥撯
I know it sounds stupid,
It鈥檚 pathetically foolish
And seems like *******.
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You鈥檇 see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You鈥檇 see the monsters
That consume my head;
You鈥檇 hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You鈥檇 see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 see the face
I鈥檝e failed to show back then,
The face I鈥檝e faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You鈥檇 be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
You paint kindness in your words
That tell stories and emotions.

Love is a tidal wave
that one alone
cannot brave.

Unless it's a boat for two,
then the ocean is made
for the both of you.
I wrote this for my friend's cousin's wedding.

Rupert Pip
Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.
