Be patient with me
I’m still a work in progress

Somedays I seem put together
But that paint’s not dry just yet

One day I’ll get this right
I’m sorry

One moment in your eyes
and suddenly I find tranquility,
again...
In a flash the memory returns
of who we used to be.
One threescore year and ten
each second is relived.
In a single flash of smile,
the world is ours again.
One moment you are in my presence,
and the next we part like a last Amen!

It is your heart that keeps me young,
time and time again
time and time again
time and time again !

I wonder when my blue skies
Faded to grey
I’m beginning to think
It’s always been that way

Because for as long as I can remember
There’s been a storm inside my mind
Casting cloudy weather
With no light to shine

I wish for nothing more
Than to feel warmth upon my face
To look up at the sun
And soak up all her rays

But I suppose for now
Dancing in the rain will have to do
Until my skies of grey
Turn back into blue

I will love you,

In the heart of the hustle, where dreams collide,
A king walks the streets with no crown to guide.
His throne is a corner, his scepter the grind,
Yet he rules with a fire that’s hard to define.

He’s got no gold chains, no royal decree,
Just the weight of the world and the soul of the free.
The pavement’s his palace, the stars his domain,
Every day’s a battle, every night’s a campaign.

His crown’s not on his head, but in the way he stands,
In the grit of his hustle and the strength in his hands.
Though the world might overlook, his spirit’s profound—
In the city’s heart, he's a king with no crown.

the dull feel of pain
but not really pinching
more achy than sharp
which is better in most cases
this hurts more than it did
the first time around
but it also doesn’t hurt one bit
a mystery left unsolved
and goodbye isn’t a word
it’s more of a feeling
and through the days i felt
that you might be leaving
so adieu and farewell
it was perhaps a good time
but losing is a pain
and i lost every game
i still miss how you talk
but i don’t miss you at all
that’s important
remember
it doesn’t affect me at all
but it’s sad to look back
rome wasn’t built in a day
the greatest empires all fall
they all believe they’re eternal
but the difference is that
it really felt like we were.

I love a sunburnt country,
but now the land's ablaze.
the oxygen we breathe has turned to dust
yet our request for help is denied.
I love a sunburnt country,
but there's not much left to last.

Firefighters aren't getting paid,
Neither are their bills.
yet our leader claims we're all fine
but he can afford to jet away.

The wildlife is damaged.
Koalas are losing homes.
much like the population
as the fires rip through their walls.

I love my sunburnt country,
but this has gone on too long.
while it's nice you're in hawaii Mr. Morrison,
everyone else is left to stand alone..

Of course you’ll
miss them,
And songs
will remind you
Of them,
and the color  of
A strangers eyes,
and the pattern
The shadows
create while
You are on shrooms,
You were happy once,
Under incoming fire
And quarantine, in
The sky or on boat,
Undressed, and that’s
Not a pretty sight,
But they loved it,
They loved you,
And that’s not
Easy to forget.

what do you think of when I say flood?
gushing water breaking through a dam?
overtaking things not meant to be wet?
the land below wave more than just sand?
well it did feel like that.
held my cup of unused tears
held them back; i can’t cry
not in a million years
but as i went to press a button
not important of any sort
i held the cup in one hand
and with the same i pressed my floor
then it happened.
nothing then all at once.
my cup tipped over and a few tears
spilt in a little pearly bunch
they pattered onto marble
floor of the white lift
oh no now they know
the walls know i slipped
it wasn't on purpose
but they’ll say its a lie
i have to run
no time to say goodbye.
inspired by my friend, who didn't mean to cry in class but her bottle was just too packed.

Your kindness feels illicit
Like an intimate brush of fingertips
Your smile touches my soul
Like a kiss to the corner of my mouth
Your presence heats my dreams
Like a moment stolen in the darkness
And your praise lays me bare
So there is nothing and everything between us

This pain
In our lives makes its way
To stand up and have its say
In our every day to day

We complain
In conversations made
More often as of late
From the things we create

Where hate
Finds a way to take away
Love in its state of grace
In our every day to day

We maintain
That it's going to be okay
Justifying things, we do and say
Consequences never weighed

We say
We are ready for a change
But through it all we stay the same
In our every day to day

At this rate
If we remain this way, unchanged
There will be nothing left to save
I only hope we're not too late

rosebuds, making

you
no sunrise on

the sun

the sky

you
not an ocean but
a stream softly
babbling
and rescuing
us,
the lonely
the lost

you
not forever
but tragically
temporary
and every
moment
you are here
i will be
what i am -

the wanderer,
the poet -
dedicated to
loving

Overbodig vol, een kar te groot
In de schaduw van piepende wieltjes
Een kwart voor in de sloot,
Een kwart voor halve zieltjes.

Ik bestel best elk omarmend
voorwerp dat ik, eens bij zinnen,
zal verwerpen eerder dan beminnen.

Elke keer en elke keer.

De cirkel ontmoet de grenzen,
Dat ziet ook een bijziende zonder lenzen.
Wij wijden uit.

Mijn mening over zinloosheid,
even fris als de zin van fruit.
Ik heb wel trek in een kiwi maar dit moest er even uit?
When times get hard dear soul
lean on the power of God !
If stars refuse to shine then
hold on to the light of Christ
and let Him illuminate, your path
Don't linger on your grief for too long
for even rainbows disappear after rain
Just believe in the power of His love
and keep your eyes on the prize
heaven is for the brave ones like you
When times get hard dear one,
lean on the power of God !

I carved her name upon the dawn
So every morning might be with her
But as it rose It grew too bright
And closed my eyes
Yet still I saw her there

I carved her name upon the sky
To keep her near me every day
But nightfall came and cleared the light
And all was dark
Yet still I saw her there

I carved her name upon the moon
To stare at her throughout my nights
But tired eyes are sneaky foes
And sleep prevailed
Yet still I saw her there

I carved her name upon my soul
Love not just with me when I look
But every day and every night
And in my heart
Yet still I saw her there

You get hurt,

they get hurt,
and you walk away guilty.

you both,
walk away forcefully
knowing that you both have torn each other's heart
apart.
knowing that you truly want to be together,

After the winds and the rains,
Came the Sunshine in the morning,
Like a bride before the wedding.
Earth looked fresh and shy,
And the fragrance intoxicating.
The breeze kissed me warmly,
The trees danced around me in happiness,
Flowers smiled and waved at me,
As I stand near them, waiting for you, Waiting for you to come.
But, still in the wilderness, I am,
Like an insane soul in agony,
Searching for you everywhere.
Still in my dreams, I am,
Like a floating cloud on the sky,
Longing for you in my arms.
Still in my loneliness, I am,
Like a man lost his senses,
Wandering in this wilderness.
