If you throw me away
I will be forsaking

If you say, "Begone!"
I must leave now

I follow you a shadow
When you are in pain.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

Debra in Silence
we're all caught in the prison
Every night,
She is always in my mind.
Every night,
I always wish to be with her.

I loved her since then.
I never gave up on her.
She knows that I love her.
She knows that I am totally hers.

I met her when we're young.
She was just on her sweet sixteen.
I was just fourteen,
Young and dumb I was.

I will never forget her starry eyes,
When I first gazed into it.
Then and only then I knew,
I have finally found my one and only.

Has it always been this bad?
This unfair
This unjust
Is this worse than it's ever been?

Or am I just old enough to see it now?

i don’t know what to say
i never know what to say

so my silence is interpreted
as abandonment

if only you could see me
on the other side of the world

i’m crying and i can’t stop
because i don’t know what to say
Of you
Of your voice
Of your lies
Of your fake smile
Of your fake love
And when I see you with her
After you called to say your flight was late
I know I’m tired
Of my love for you
I am but
one star
in the
universe
that you
deserve.
I am but
a rain's
puddle
when
it is
the ocean
that you
need to
swim in.
Wish
upon me.
Dance
and jump
within me.
I long
to be
enough
for thee.

When I look at you,
I don’t see darkness
I don’t see rain
I don’t see pain

When I speak to you,
I don’t feel sadness
I don’t feel neglect
You always show respect

When I think of you,
It gives me strength
Because you’re so bright
My brightest light

When I dream of you,
I find myself in your arms
Right where I belong
Right where I feel strong

When I fell in love with you,
I knew it was true
Because you drowned my sorrows
And now I can see tomorrow

the nectar of love
only comes with
the poison of pain,
two
for the exorbitant price of one

standing
at the chasm
of life and death
destroyed by love
grief remains
as life’s sole friend

the memories of love
now
belong to time
and this aging body
to the five elements.

Tear the layer of this sheath
where he ran through his mitt
her hands strayed and pinched
that it was grazed in too deep

Lift it from my face
he had whispered, shushed my name
in where she touched on and snick
and my innocence was raid

Let it burn to flames
in the branch of hopelessness
I was in agony
to crawl off of my veins

If you ever saw me in green
then it was purple in my range
it was yellow on my smell
but screamed red in the end.

You are the light of my life
My morning sun and my evening moon
I want to reach you and stay by your side
Too bad you’re just “not in the mood”
Too bad “you have better things to do”
Because the only thing I do
is think of you

I dream
of you thinking about me too
Sometimes we want to be cared about by the wrong person

Midnight
the night my life changed
i was wearing
a white dress
with blue and red
flowers

and you were wearing
well, actually
it doesn't
matter

the night my life changed
it was dark
and you were drunk
and somehow
it was my fault
this is not my story, but it needs to be heard.
I blame you.
For the dreams that died.
For the love that i will never have.
For the smile that you took from me.
I wanted to fly far away but you
Burnt my wings keeping me
In the cold darkness.
I blame you for killing me.
I like to take a negative feeling and turn it
Into something good.
We should allow people room to grow and breathe support someone in there dreams

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

~

I’m selling my dreams,

some heavily used but still have traces

of ones I loved and all their faces.

Others barely touched left forgotten

not too fresh but never rotten

and many never used at all.

I’m selling my dreams big and small

some are shallow, others deep,

others borrowed and left to feed.

I’m selling dreams young and old

many warm but mostly cold.

I’m selling my dreams real cheap

the ones I no longer keep

for lack of tender or lack of time,

they never were really mine

and faster ones just ran astray,

I’ll sell my dreams or give away.

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about
you;

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that

I heard an angel sing today her pitch was high and clean
I wept out loud despite the crowd she was the best I'd ever seen
I had a thought unto myself her voice was meant to shine
I played guitar was keeping up another gift of mine
Although she sang without words or lyrics her voice it spoke to me
She touched my heart on many levels her voice it set me free
I don't know if I'll ever hear another voice like hers, this simple
poem doe's not do her justice these are only words

We don’t see the carrots to be cut,
We see the sharp knife that could cut us.

We don’t see the bridge,
We see the other side of the railings.

We don’t see painkillers,
We see medication we could drown ourselves in.

We don’t see the train,
We see the tracks we could lay on.

We don’t see the nice view,
We see the cliff's edge we could jump off.

They said,
"The most beautiful art is
looking into someone's eyes
when they talk about the
things they love.
"
And I said,
"Or looking at someone you love.
Or maybe, just maybe,
by looking at the mirror
is the most beautiful art
anyone should appreciate."

For a wild, foolish adventure.

I'm
not
your
canvas;
you can't
paint over me.
My mistakes,
my life, it's whom
I want to be.
So go
_________
take your
_________
paintbrush
and your paint, too,
because I love my every
stain, and I'll keep every
color; red, green,
or blue.

By my every stain I mean my every mistake or misfortune, because I learn from each one of them.

I hope it looks somewhat like a paintbrush. I messed around with it, and the result is before your eyes.

All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression
The lines we draw and stay within
Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends
Flowing from our pens
And so we breathe again
