The Philosopher
Inside a lover’s paradise, is where I wish to be, before life has taken everything, I wish for away from me.

Alone with all the pain I feel, I cannot run away, from the memories I suffer, in a place I never wish to stay.

Please be with me forever, never leave me on my own, once we’ve met I’ll be complete, unless you leave me all alone.

Love is not a game to me, something meant to be lost, if you rush it you will lose it, and no one likes paying that cost.

Please save me from the loneliness, I’ve come to call my own, give me reason, give me purpose, give me a joy I’ve never known.

I shall lie upon my bed and dream, that soon you’ll come my way, until then I’ll keep wishing, my chance at love will come someday.

The Unsung Song
As the sun slowly fell,
I looked upon the world.
I saw destruction,
and I saw chaos.

As anarchy rose,
I looked upon myself.
I saw self-doubt,
and I saw weakness.

As the dying light of day decayed,
I looked deeper into that chaos and anarchy.
I saw strength,
and I saw power.

This power come from within,
but not within individuals.
Instead it came from within,
the world.

The same world that stood by and,
watched the aches,
and watched the pains of others.
The same world that helped the aches,
and helped the pains of everyone.

We stand strong in the midst of chaos.
We stand strong in a losing battle.
We stand strong in the wake of a riptide.
We stand strong in the dying,
of the light.

Together we stand,
together we fall.

The World Requires Edmund Black’s Random Acts of Doughnut Kindness (1/36)

a friend mutual on HP
sent me your poem below
asking me to respond appropriately,
close the tale, he said,
and that I would understand,
thinking by being marked,
I had some expertise in the matter

perhaps you are unaware that the world
the world exists only because there are at least thirty six^
righteous men on the earth and
personally believe,
there are more

who they are, a well kept secret,
but secrets tend to leak so...

only one,
Mr. Edmund,
employs a dozen doughnuts
(chocolate frosted)
to follow through
on the most important
commandment human
love thy neighbor
with a dozen holies

I’m told that like certain loaves of bread,
a dozen doughnuts
now have along with
wine and water
a place in the repertoire of the selector of the
thirty six

which needs noting,
a dozen
is 1/3 of thirty six

sometimes the answers are in the wholes of the holiest!

My Perfect Morning

The climate in the
World may change
But it will never
Change me
not for a moment
I truly have the most
amazing  life ,
Couldn’t be any better
I get up every morning
Next to  this gorgeous
amazing woman
Get my morning kiss
Maybe a few morning kisses
in my open mouth
If you get my drift
Cause you know I’m in love
Sit back in the back patio porch
Listening to Mother Nature’s
while reading hellopoetry
Few minutes later
I told my lady  I had to
Go run  some errands
Not realizing yet
What’s up ahead,
Arrived and
While in line at Chrispy kreme’s
A little boy about 5 years of age
Loosing his mind over some
Chocolate frosted
Mother and father told him
They couldn’t afford it
They were only there for coffee
Little boy started
crying hysterically
My Heart Cries out for him
And chivalrously I’ve waited
in line right behind them
Just couldn’t allow
That to take place
I told dad if it was okay
I would love to buy the boy
a dozen chocolate frosted
He accepted and gave
me a hand shake
Mom teared up and dad
wouldn’t Stop thinking me
I hate seeing good
People like this
But anyway,
What an awesome moment
A moment of love sharing
And here’s the most
Amazing part of
my early morning outside
Of my morning kisses
I got the longest hug
From the little man
A handshake
From dad
And a kiss on the cheek
From mom
What can be any better
Than the life I live
I do what I want
And it’s mostly
Helping other people
That’s all that matters.
Having meanings in
Other people’s lives
Fulfills me ,
And what more
Can I say ,
My perfect

I live life
For the inexplicable
Life is love and love
     Always gives
^Mystical Hasidic Judaism as well as other segments of Judaism believe that there exist 36 righteous people whose role in life is to justify the purpose of humankind in the eyes of God. Jewish tradition holds that their identities are unknown to each other and that, if one of them comes to a realization of their true purpose, they would never admit it:
someday it will
come again.
someday someone
will come in.

She sneaks out at night
Busts a couple moves
Makes few dollars
Couple men hollar
She's beaten and bruised
And she doesn't no what else to do
Rent is coming
She keeps reaching for god
But she feels all her sins have kept him from listening to each of her prayers
Please hear me
Please hear me
Each night she cries
My baby she needs me
Her father has died
I work nine to five
But it's never enough
And the only thing that keeps me going is this bag of white stuff
If I leave her she'll go straight through the state
And her life will be filled with rage and hate so I stay
And try
But I know it's not right
When will our lives ever touch light
Just somethin different
Bus Poet Stop
~for those who will read this and weep~

the quiet ones,
the silent Job ones,
who quote not from the
Book of Lamentations,
but author their own,
based on-the-Job experience

localized versions of cryptic elegiacs
accepting the wooden crosses borne,
stepping up to the
unrequested unforeseen,
then buried under, burnt alive,
yet never relieved by dying,
nailed by words, stronger than iron,
promises sworn, promises kept
with no ending date relief,
promises by and to themselves,
but not for themselves!

the wearers of crystal glass shackles,
adorned with decorative locks for which
no key did the maker make,
nor any divine creator
dare conceive an early release,
never no escape contemplated,
for the lock human, unrepentant unbreakable,
a decorative useless metaphor gesture,
a blunt “life *****” advertisement

I compose amidst a
bus pond of mismatched city folk,
a tapestry of ages colors and differing views on god/no god,
none would believe that as the bus sways me,
it’s in rhythm to holy choral music,
hundreds year old,
divinity masses and motets worships,
where one human can hide temporarily
a safe house,
to calm his questioning relentless
from the horrors of no answers,
for when the mind has no solution
to the rough and tumbling lives,
lived in glass shackled confinement,
the poets desperation equals theirs

summon eagles to transport these imprisoned,
but the shackled refuse,
I come to them but they wave me off,
I go crazy for once I was enslaved,
thirty years war that left devastation,
from which so many poems created

so I speak with heightened regard
of one who planned futures for others where his
non-existence was a founding father (ha!)

but the day came and
I was released by my own inactions,
but means nothing until a way to
away found
to release the yet bound early

got a couch, airline miles, hundred dollars
in my pocket and an unrelenting need
to save them, a consumption disease,
the glass shackled, at ease,
won’t rest till all are freed
this my creed
no one left behind

these cyber words do not mock
for they are unbounded, set free,
the flesh connects and the needs of the flesh
are stronger for they are in heart conceived
Dear me,
Your whole life is out there. It's just waiting for you.

Even though your life is still short, you've done so much with the time you've been given. Can't you see? You've written endless poems about friendship and love. You've lived in many places too. Even though it did affect you a little bit, you still did your best to make lasting friendships, despite knowing that you might only have a short time to spend together. Others might have just kept to themselves if they were in your place. And though you got hurt at times, your heart never became angry towards the world. The way I see it, that's the attitude of some of the strongest among us.

That's why you shouldn't be hurt if sometimes you don't get the things - or the people - you love the most. It only means, they weren't right for you...yet. What will be given instead, in time, is not what is right but rather what is best for you. Just trust in it.

You are stronger than you think.

Mankind has mastered arts
Yet still want to draw and write
Mankind placed it's foot on the moon
Yet a little voice said further

Mankind had wielded nature
Yet is still eager to learn
Mankind has found  secrets of earth
Yet still we go deeper

We break our limitations
We push off our training wheels
We shatter exceptions
We push ourselves
And as such we're great

here, we do not talk about the mistakes.
we do not bring them to the light,
we let them sit inside our dark places,
let them fester and rot; eventually,
we let them **** us.
it’s only a matter of time, you see.
but we never speak of them.
the truth is this:
you cannot give with one hand,
and take with the other.

every time i laugh
i quickly look over at you
hoping you’d fall for my laugh
as fast as i fell for yours
A smile so tiny.
A glanse so quick.
My heart just skipped a beat.
There's a sound like a song
Within every soul bound to flesh
A symphony of notes that pour
Like molten gold from the mountain
Watching the wind that whistles
Through boughs of emerald splendor
Whilst spring veins run with life
Surging through rock and earth
Beneath roots of ancient standing
Her stormy sky may roll and toil
Let her hear your song, Let it be
And what would happen if you
Looked into my eyes...

And realised?

These glazed eyes,
A distorted tautologous window.

A facade of transparency.
The window is misted
It’s distorted with the touch of an October morning.

And I fear.

You will not see through this window,
This glass.
Until it has shattered,
And all that remains is a soul,
That has been freed.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

I think my biggest problem is that I love being alone, but I hate being lonely.
You make all my fears go away
It’s no longer a rainy day
A weight is lifted from my shoulders
I feel lighter
I feel brighter
I don’t think there is anything I can’t do right now
Food sounds really good too
Maybe a cheeseburger
Or some chips
Or pizza
Or maybe all three
You make me want to climb a tree

I love you ****
You make my day bright
In the coldness of depression
You always win the fight
I wish you wouldn’t go away
I wish you were here to stay
Especially when I’m feeling gray
You take all my money
You’re so funny

I love you ****
When I’m feeling blue
I just look at you
I roll you
I smoke you

I love you ****
You help me with all my needs
When no one understands me
You make me so carefree
I love when other people smoke ****
It’s a quality you can’t exceed

I love you ****
Thanks for understanding me
And for helping me climb that tree
It won’t be long now
Until I have to go
And smoke another bowl
Of course I was high when I wrote this.

In a drop of you, I lost an ocean of me.
Eyes of sapphire
Skin of snow
Lips with words that ruin
You head to toe
look at all the love notes
popping in like poppies
across the piles in her room
she wakes to new aromas and
the tickles of dandelions
fed under the sun of high noon
she shouldn't pluck
not even one bud
it will die in the vase
withering under her love
she decides to sit idly
and enjoy the flirtatious spring

Imagine the world loved you back
Imagine that

No scarcity, but generosity

And on that feeling of being trapped, pent-up
Imagine release...

I wont last long,  but my prayer will

If I have a son or a daughter, I'll call him or her

Imagine the world loved you back
Imagine that

You were supported, your interests were looked out for
Your future
Imagine the people in it
Imagine the way we would work
Imagine the end of all wars
Imagine care
Imagine being there

Imagine the world loved you back
Imagine that
You could do anything
But you could only be yourself
Live from the heart or maybe feel your stomach. Not the crazy in the brain
I step up to the edge, the breeze blowing my hair.
I close my eyes and I can see it.
My feet leave the ground as my wings catch the wind.
I’m flying.
But, when I open my eyes, I’m not soaring
and my feet are still on solid ground.
What if I fall?
I can’t risk it, that pain.
I look around and see others fearlessly facing the plunge,
but I remain frozen in place.
All I can think is, “What if I fall? What if I fall?”
It’s then, in the midst of my frantic thoughts,
That I hear a still, small voice say,
“Yes, but what if you fly?”

Notre Dame is burning to the ground
people are sobbing in the streets
all around the world.
How helplessly we watch
as you become engulfed in flame.
You endured everything,
the French Revolution and two world wars..
standing as a beacon of Christianity and history
for 850 years.
Now the bones of your
cathedral lie fragile,
as angels cry for the loss
of your majesty;
My heart too burns in anguish,
this Monday after Palm Sunday.
How beautifully you held your cross aloft
almost touching heaven with it's gleaming.

we meet,
restoring our fragmented burdens
to wholeness..."
