Your Local Cryptid
In this deep dark hole I'm falling into, there only is one light
That light is you and I am asking, can you help me through the night?
the only thing I need is you, mon amour
I have carved your name
On every bone that lines
Beneath my skin
And darling, I am at peace.
Inside my heart, inside of me,
There is a place longing for poetry.
Glizelle Alderite
You will still have your worst days,
even if you have the best things in life.
It's not insomnia but I skip sleep on regular nights.
I hear voices in the soulless nights…

Aren't you lonely?
Aren't you worthless?
Aren't you depressed?

I feel inferior.
I feel lonely.
I feel needy

But why do I always look happy but not feel it?
It’s empty in me, but why does it feel so heavy?
Sometimes I just hate my own presence...

I'm painting a hole
where I'll eventually crawl
Into the dark
to get away from it all

i’d like to believe that when i’m sitting outside
looking up at the moon and the countless stars
listening to the symphonies of insects
that wherever you are
you’re watching the moon too
and in that moment
i feel a little less far away from you

If demons looked like demons,
evil would be rare.
It's the demons dressed like angels,
that you must beware.
I wish you would understand me
You say you do
but you don’t
I wish I could say no to you
You say I can
but I can’t
I wish you would just let me be
You say you will
but you won’t
I wish I wasn’t so lonely
But why am I
when I’m with you
When the sun finally rays,
And the untiring spirit prevails,
When the dark clouds clear,
And the fear of loss no more near,
Then I shall open my heart to you

There will be elation,
For you are my motivation
I shall overcome my love,
Against all odds, I vow.
Listen to the birds humming!
The spring, it’s soon coming

When the sun finally shines
And the lovely spring reigns
When the birds of love croon
I shall tell this a million times
I love you, as the earth to the moon.

The older we are
The more invisible by far
We seem to the younger mind
But soon they will see
What's known by you and me
We're only immortal for a limited time

etched in my heart,
those words still bleed
when someone says
your name.
never let somebody
you don’t trust
touch you
it’s like granting them
to stroke your wounds
when their fingers
are dunked in vinegar.
Leo Montgomery
Mind wanders in the dark
Hounds of hell lonely bark
My inner spirit in disguise
Warden of myself closed his eyes

Feel the presence of the reaper
The wounds are getting deeper
The drive has gone away
Nothing really ment to stay
Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.
Love has been on this
planet for long,
We should not own
it as ours,

It's a feeling on
the earth,
From time beyond
and bygone,

Love resonates in flowers,
trees and animals,
In Sun, Moon,
Sky and Sea,

Love shines in
Venus and Mars,
In beauty of rocks,
River and breeze,

Love has been on this planet
before me and you were born,

Don't judge it,
Don't name it,
Don't bracket it,
Don't command it,
Don't demand it,

Grow up
These words are for me,
For I'm the one who's hurting,
I'm just healing myself.
I often wonder why we can't understand other's poems sometimes, but deep down it is the one who writes it knows the value of it.
Safe From A Riddle

climb up the ladder
burning safe away from fire
onto its burden desire
change the flat tire

lift high the plug to do
light a fixture to explain the gun for hire
shadow box we claim no more
teaching often learning

to share with a hero
begin the commercial
a twain but not forgottern
mixed in here.....
Every morning I wake up
And I remember:
I’m not yours anymore

Then I cry till I fall sleep again
Because sometimes,
paper is the only one
who listens.
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Explanation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!

No matter who you are
You have my deepest respect
I love you all!!
Slightly Lovely
"love me"
it came as the smallest of whispers.
a swell in tempo, a rise in rhythm.
the words swirl around me like a thousand orbiting galaxies,
Dipped in a golden light that had followed me from the heavens,
They wrap around you, hug your sides, caress your soft lips.
These words are yours, but over time, they faded,
and they've become mine.

Our story harbored a beauty
Like a lover's tale
Painting poetry and forest romance
Is to what it translates
Our story revived its charm
Elements of intrigue and calm
You don't just admire the long way
I also treasure our stumbling blocks
Our story was that babble of laughter
A land of expressive gestures
A land of overwhelming indulgence
Submerged in the rosy sunshine
Shoulders of unwavering faith
A lover's tale is to what it translates...
I wore it again
and people complimented me
they say red is my color
and it suits me.

it's too thick and dark
did I overapply
no, it's the right amount
just enough
to make them think
I'm fine.

I look at myself
in the mirror,
and they're right
red shines on me,
so I applied
another layer,
and another
until my lips felt too thick,
but my eyes still see
the scars beneath it.

Call onto me
In your time of need
We’ll fall together gracefully
Down to our knees
Begin to pray
That all will turn out ok
I’m always here when you need me to be
Take my hand willingly
We’ll walk together patiently
Always and forever I will be here
To guide you through all of your fears
You are so loved my dear
He lifted my suitcase out from the coach
While lifting my heart with his smile
I fumbled in my pocket to find a tip
I didn't even have a coin.

I didn't feel happy nor was I at ease
It's not like I'm a person who's eager to please
While driving his coach for miles and miles.
At the end of shift he still had smiles

I asked him to wait for a moment or two
I came back with a smile and a big thank you
He looked in his hand and smiled once more
He's the kind of man I so adore.

I had a dream last night and it resulted in this poem.
This coach driver was so beautiful and In my dream I so loved him and felt the love intensely.
He was surely an angle and I wanted to kiss him.
I hope you see him as I did.

We fell in love by chance,
We stay in love by choice.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

^ Oh Dad, Poor Dad,
Hung You In The Closet and I’m Feeling So Sad
By Arthur Kopit
Well, I made it out of lenses and tubing. The lenses I had because Ma-Ma-Mother gave me a set of lenses so I could see my stamps better. I have a fabulous collection of stamps, as well as a fantastic collection of coins and a simply unbelievable collection of books. Well sir, Ma-Ma-Mother gave me these lenses so I could see my stamps better. She suspected that some were fake so she gave me the lenses so I might to see. You see? Well sir, I happen to have nearly a billion sta-stamps. So far I’ve looked closely at 1,352,769. I’ve discovered three actual fakes! Number 1,352,767 was a fake. Number1,352,768 was a fake, and number 1,352,769 was a fake. They were stuck together. Ma-Mother made me feed them im-mediately to her fly –traps. Well... (He whispers.) one day, when Mother wasn’t looking...that is, when she was out, I heard an air-plane flying...somewhere, far away. And I ran outside to the porch so that JI might see what it looked like. The airplane. With hundreds of people inside it. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people. And I thought to myself, if I could just see...if I could just see what they looked like, the people, sitting at their windows looking out...and flying. If I Could see...just once...if I could see just once what they looked like...then I might...know what I-what I... (Slight pause.) So I...built a telescope in case the plane ever...came back again. The tubing from and old blowgun (He reaches behind the bureau and produces a huge blowgun, easily a foot larger than he Mother brought back from her last hunting trip to Zanzibar. The lenses were the lenses she had given me for my stamp. So I built it. My telescope. A telescope so I might be able to see. And... (He walks out to the porch.) and...and I could see! I could! I COULD! I really could. For miles and miles I could see. For miles and miles and miles! Only...
You take the time to build a telescope that can sa-see for miles, then there’s nothing out there to see. MA-Mother says it’s a lesson in Life. [Pause] But I’m not sorry I built my telescope. And you know why? Because, I saw you. Even if I didn’t see anything else, I did see you. And...and I’m...very glad.

last rainy night
your eyes still look familiar
but the looks they give me now are foreign
I'm sorry for the poems that were delayed,
I was on a journey far away.
A poem every day.

Moonbeam Dream
after the accident
everyone cares
everyone wants to be my best friend
but I know it’s not real
I know when I’m standing in a room full of people I feel completely alone
I know they all feel guilty for not caring before
and it’s okay I just smile and say I’m doing okay
I think
the world
of us
than we
can offer
keep your eyes closed love.

When I was much younger, beaches were my second favorite places. I still love watching waves as they go by, crashing against each other and the whole process repeating all over again.
