Into cotton candy clouds
Lick the sweet crystals of sunset
Off my fingertips

Lips dusted with light

I am tongue-tied
And I hesitate
To ask you
What I need of you

I was a tad hurt before
That is true
But I don't see pain in you
I see a brightness

I want to take the leap

You used my heart strings for your acoustic guitar,
Strung them along until they snapped,
So I drowned them in sorrows at the bar,
Mourning a love that had been kidnapped.

I wish I never saw you.
I wish I never met you.
I wish I never fell for you.
I wish I never proposed to you.
I wish I never talked to you.
I wish I never loved you.

But it has already happened.

I wish you would have seen me with loving eyes.
I wish you would have met me with a pure heart.
I wish you would have fallen for me.
I wish you would have proposed to me.
I wish you would have talked to me genuinely.

But I regret it has never happened.

I wished we would always be together like one.
I wish we wouldn't have broken up.
Now I wish, you would call me someday and say "Sorry for leaving you and I love you "

But I'm afraid this is never going to happen.

I felt the feeling
That I’m closing the doors
But don’t take me wrong
A formatted poem is superficial

Nicer is
Surely nice
My wisdom little
Yours; bigger than the scope

You know all my means
The way I create my barriers
If I slip doing the wrong
My slip will be remembered always

Tears in my eyes closing the doors

irresponsibility
you are dear to me

you are why i dont mind sleeping in the back seat
of my car
in early march

the parents of indifference and anxiety
have taught
apathy
it has been instilled in me

emily doesn’t like my box of coins i bring everywhere

i dont think she likes my antics
i dont think she finds them endearing

but it has been instilled in me
irresponsibility

One sleepless boy
Falling to the deepest of the ocean
Looking for himself in the ocean waves
Little boy, it was just a dream

One sleepless boy
Running through an unending maze
Walking through an unending road
Little boy, it was just a dream

One sleepless boy
He is running through a neverending dream
A beautiful and horrifying dream of a one sleepless boy

-Inspired by a girl named Jessica-
This poem was inspired by a lovely girl named Jessica - she wrote a story of a sleepless boy, who was afraid to be caught in his dream.

The moon demanded our attention
Radiating glowing rings
Through a shimmering mist

Your eyes were filled with magic
Endless glistening stars
Captivating every inch of me

The moon had a message
That could not me missed
Despite our efforts to ignore it

As certain as the moon is pure and true
There was a profound storm to come
A downpour

I took a long and deep breath
Ensuring that every bit of the
Cleansing air was now a part of me

I slept heavy and sound
The rhythm of the raindrops and the beat of the pounding thunder
Created a lullaby like no other

But I was jolted out of my heavenly slumber
Wake up and take control
Trust the weatherman

Surely his knowledge eclipses the moon's eloquence
The genuine peace from a lullaby
And the magic between souls

You wandered naked
through the burning sand
looking for the promised land

Denied by the nature
of your eyes
It’s the chaos that you
breed inside

Now You look down
to the ground
picking up the pieces
of your broken crown

The solace of your name
brings you nothing more
but shame

Like the  castle where
you built your reign
on the ever shifting sands

Forgotten by
your cruel hands

In her pretty brown eyes
You could see it
Even with that dainty smile
Her happiness
Vanished
She saw
The disgust
As she looked in the mirror
The hatred
Took over
Her self-love
The pain
Changed
Her mindset
Now
She had sleepless nights full of hopes and dreams
Where
Her tear stained cheeks hit the pillow
She was troubled
Her only wish
Was
Becoming an aura that made people think of the color yellow
She remembers when
If anyone asked
She would’ve said
“I’m used to it.”

Now read from bottom to top.

Lies we create, sell, share, propagate
resulting falsehoods and biases, we subscribe to
Billion times we sing, praise, preach, recite
Believing they will magically become true
We are ill-equipped to detect a lie and some have been around for generations.

Embraced her darkest sin
She's fading in perfection
And losing her perseption

God she is just skin
Tried to fight the demons from within
But eventually let them win
She's fading into darkness
Can't remember where her heart is

What a rotten time to fall in love.
When I'm on the brink of tragedy,
On the edge of something so insurmountable that
I can't even contain it in both outstretched, weak, aching arms.
When I'm so close to the capstone of calamity that I can taste
The wreck on my tongue as it rains down my face.
I'm a goner.
The cataclysm that all good poetry is known for-
I am drowning on the words before they reach you-
I asphyxiate on the dark after you fall asleep.
Steady, lulled into a composition of notes and gasps.
I wonder if you know what I'm thinking about
When you wrap your hand around my throat.
I want to be the kind of person that your love deserves.
I just want to be the kind of person who isn't dripping with
Grief.
I'll find a sermon in every word you speak,
I'll chant it like prayer,
With my hands clasped to my chest in some
Frenzied, violent attempt to swear to God.
There is no reply.
Just your hand on my skin-
Less like touch and more like collision.
Please, stay. I'm begging now. I'm on my knees.
How do I look?
Do I look as pathetic as I feel?
I sink into the sadness but you're still holding my hand.
I don't speak, I overflow.
I don't love, I anesthetize.
I am destroying myself and you won't turn your head away.
Like a car crash. Like a collision. Like your hand around my throat.
I am paralyzed with a fear that God can't hear me.
"I love you" and I suffocate on the silence.
"I love you" and I choke on the apology that follows.
"I love you" and I am so sorry.
“I love you, too.” and I take my first breath.
ouch this is a really good depiction of how I feel right now and reading it hurts.
Cold
Knee deep in icy waters
Shivering
But surrounded by fire
Screaming
No way to help
Running
But no way out

I pretend to laugh
Even when I want to cry
I pretend to live
Even when I want to die

I pretend that I'm in control
Even when I'm not
I pretend to move forward
Even when I know I've stopped

I pretend to believe there's hope
Even when I'm not so sure
I pretend that the medicine is helping
Even when I know there is no cure

I pretend that I'm getting better
Even when I know its not true
I pretend that isn't real
Even when I know that I do
Time called me a *****,
And walked away
nonchalantly.

Met a stranger by chance
Fell for her on first glance
Soon I was her man
Young love, on advance
I was more into romance
But, she had her own plans
Saw her with another man
She was more of into his finance

Still, in my heart she dwells
I remember her smell
And all of her jewel
Happiness and pain are lines in parallel
Love got misspelt
A spell you can't repel

The urgency of alarm Bell
Illuminating pessimism, expelled.
Fell down and yelled
To die upon a hand I love so well
I'm on my death knell. Give me a farewell
Abandoned heaven, flourishing in hell...
A love story, not so lovely

I'm old enough to be my grandpa
who was thrown in his grave years
ago when I was 13. I'm gray haired
  and wrinkled with laughter etched

I am not sad
I am not sad
I am not sad
The darkness keeps
Eating away at the remnants
Of the pleasant facade
That I built for myself
But I am not sad
Until I am returned to
The Earth from which
I was born
I will refuse to make
The inconvenience
Of my sadness drag
Me into a pit of darkness
I am not sad
I am not sad
I am not sad
I am not

I know your hands and your face
I’ve seen them change as we age

Once upon a time
Everything was fine,
Once upon a time,
Once upon a time.
Let's eat good food together,
Forget about getting fat.
You actually look a thousand times cuter,
If you stretch your chubby cheeks like that.

You know it doesn't matter to me
If you are not skinny like the others
All I want is to see you happy
Even if you are now having your 4th burger.

Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.
