Even the stars
are quiet, it’s like
there’s no life
at the end of their shine
only this cold distant
indifference to the dying
light around them.

every word written
      neat, tidy and messy
leaves a feeling behind
it fills the void of my mind
a great respite as any
      never satisfactory
it always ends way too soon
       it feels abrupt enough
the weather is not the same
       humidity is in the air
Hard to accept that this too shall end
I keep the book back in the shelf.

Passion
Cry for me
I die slowly
Every day I am rejected
Each moment neglected
And each time it comes to mind
It is as though I can’t find
Any motivation
Wellcome to depression station

to write about love
is a cliche of sorts
i put my pen to paper
to write a tale
of obsession
of lust
of admiration
of deliberate attempts
rushed and hushed
of chances grabbed
and opportunities lost
of everything
that made you
trace back to me
that made you
hold me
each time I fell for you
you won’t be able to stop
because I’ll never
give you a reason to
because I’ll be
the sunshine
that will exorcise
your demons
I’ll be the lullaby
that will put you to sleep
finally

Thank you!
The girl in the red dress
Ice thaws wherever she wanders
She came to close and left me brittle
Quenching her thirst, bending to her will
I fled to the deepest of the deep
To be cured of her.

I didn’t see what’s coming
because my eyes were close.
I didn’t hear what you’re saying
because my ears weren’t listening.
I’m processing at the moment. :)

I’m so tired, exhausted in fact.
Tired of waiting.
Tired of feeling.
Tired of believing.

I wish I could sleep through it all.
Dream through the hurt.
Dream through the time.
Dream through the numbness.

But I can’t sleep.
Even if I could, I’d still be tired of living.
Just a quick message, I’m unsure to who is disliking all the comments of this poem but I can assure you I like every comment, thank you all for such kind words and constructive criticism. #ignorethehate ❤️

I call you every day
We talk for hours at a time
But you see me as a sister
When I see you as more

She will never know
Because I would not want to
Ruin what we have

Treasure of the earth
Skin anointed by the sun
Eyes that gaze into existence
As if they had witnessed life
Before it had begun
A smile knowing and reassuring
Pure lips that speak beauty, pain, and truth
Sipping forever from a fountain of youth
Named from the continent
Never tamed by discontent
A testimony of God’s hand
In all that she embraces
A reverence for God’s plan in every obstacle she faces
She is a great warrior
High priestess of peace
Treasure of the earth
Leant from heaven since birth

I will say
I do not love you
until my mouth forgets your taste

I will write
I do not love you
until my fingers forget
how your hands feel, wrapped in mine
and my poems no longer
reek of sadness and desperation

I will believe
I do not love you
until it becomes impossible
or until I begin
to love someone new

Noting changes.
Nothing grows.

Empty highs.
Empty lows.

I can't feel the warm,
And I can't feel the cold.

You try to make me happy,
And I try just for you.
But other than our trying,
Nothing else is new.

I worry I'll upset you,
If I can't make a change.
It's not fair of me,
To make you stay the same.
Don't let me drag you down with me.

How to say hi,

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

i hung up my mirror this morning
and i realized
it wasn't my face i saw

not a "pretty girl" anymore
but a woman
the same woman that my mother was
the woman my sisters would be
the woman that i regrettably am.

i saw a person that would no doubt
run from every one of her problems
abandon her life
over and over
until she had nothing left

i saw a face that i had seen in my dreams
in my nightmares
and in life all the same

i took the mirror back down
and broke it

I never thought I'd matter
To anyone

Until you
Came along

And changed my perspective
Of the universe

You made me feel
Like I matter

And I'm grateful
For you.

I was told love is blind,
But our souls have been bind.
Heaven bless the day I met you
For your love has melt me.
Without saying a word
You light up my world
Giving me joy with no bound.
I love you babe

Monsters don’t exist
Still, we are very afraid
Because we made them
Monsters. A concept so often used to represent anything dislikable to society, which we are afraid of. Yet literal monsters don’t exist.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)
Do I consider myself a heathen?
What is the definition of a heathen?

A friend?
A Loved One
Or Enemy?

No,
Why?
We are One!
All my friends are heathen. S take it slow

Do not deny me,
The lines between us read;
A footnote of a smile

A miniature novella
Cradled in my palm;
Your hand held

Written in our familiar aspect
An epic journey of the soul;
A quiet collision
Of two still quieter gestures.

'There is more to hear in what is not said.'

your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about
you;

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that

Too
Too perfect
Too lovely
Too willing to die
She let death kiss her lips
Without saying goodbye

She said that everything was just too much
Her life was too hard
Everything was too challenging
Even when it wasn't

Too hidden
Too unseen
Beauty underneath
That will remain her majesties

1.  You are the one that I love wholeheartedly.
2.  I struggle knowing that you are lonely.
3.  I know that when I look at you, I forget to breathe.
4.  If only I could mirror such beauty.

Too late.

For there are no words
That can describe you

You love so deep
And so pure

You make things so simple
Yet so beautifully complicated

But....

Behind your shine  is a world full of dark

Long nights of you crying
Longing for a purpose

But, even though your broken
and cracked
The light still shines through the pain
From your beautiful soul
Sometimes the happiest and purest people are the most broken

I could do it.

I have no concern for myself anymore
The only thing that keeps my heart beating
Is knowing that if it stopped
It would break yours
i look in on myself from behind the window
glass stained with the colors of my life
i stare, utterly alone
until my face fades away and i am lost
reflecting on what once was

I LIKE TO SAY YOUR NAME

I like to say
your name

when you're
not here

turn you
into sound

conjure you out of
thin air

so that you appear
before me

dressed in sound
only

memory sketching in
the rest of you

as if sound
was just an outline

and love
colours you in

adding the voice last
so I can hear you say.

"Hello you..!"
and there you are

as present
as present

can be.

I like to say
your name

when you're
not there.

When the days bleed together and the night feels wrong,
When an infant cries his own lullaby song;
When you swear your hair shouldn't be this long,
That's when you'll know it's time.
When nothing changes but the moon is bright,
And you can't sleep through the entire night;
Not due to peace, but neither to fright,
That's when you'll know it's time.
