a faded pair
of blue jeans

that served us well
as shadows set in
and pretty soon

there'll be nothing to see
and not much to tell
other than what we can glean

by the cold light
of a glinting sharp
silvery moon

a word painting
frosty and icy blizzards blasts above the landscapes,
carry anxiety and destruction,
an inferno of ice and snow,
reigns in this cold and dark season,
what remains is fear and devastation,

One more time hugging you.
One more time holding your hand.
One more time laughing with each other.
One more time laying next to you.
One more time staring into your eyes.
One more time cuddling.
One more time being goofy.
One more time with just you.
Just one more time with you would be blissful.
Sometimes giving up
needs more hard work
than holding on
local idiot
people hate what they haven't spent the time to understand
but a word deemed obscure written by hand
it's beautiful too
pop music's debut is easy to chew
but a dumpster tattoo
it doesn't make sense
if you think I'm dense
life is absurd
the last avant-garde artform wants nothing in return
David Lessard
I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)
Even after the heartbreak
I wanted to treat your heart like it was my own
The thought of disengaging with you was tormenting
The heart was in a “I want what i want” Mode
Kiss me
and I will be
the morning sun
and with all the power
I have on your petals
I will make them
blossom just
to see

Kiss me
and I will be
the morning rain
and with all the power
I have on your body
I'll feed you just
to grow your
love for
They said,
"The most beautiful art is
looking into someone's eyes
when they talk about the
things they love.
And I said,
"Or looking at someone you love.
Or maybe, just maybe,
by looking at the mirror
is the most beautiful art
anyone should appreciate."
Appreciation post for myself; for you and for everyone as well. You deserve more than the world has to offer.
Roses are red
Berries are blue
She's for me
if by chance
you take my place
i'll take my fist
and hit your face
a familiar light fills the sky,
not too bright but it brings alive,
the kids, the swings, the echo of teenagers giggling into life.

Picnics, couples and stolen kisses,
a world beyond your imagination,
you want to smile and be content,
the world is in harmony and you're its witness.

your heart feels heavy,
a tank of emotions in terrible hurry,
the tears brim at your eyes and you worry,
'dear god, what more can I bury?'

Years of pain that you pushed away,
came out together and said
'hey, let's play'

But today is not about you.
Nor is tomorrow, nor the day after.

Wait in perfect patience and one day it will all end.
what is the colour of her blood
she wonders
as the knife glints in the light

red like flushed cheeks after
too many laps around the track

red like the burning of the sky as
the sun goes back to sleep

red like the velvet caress of
a flower carelessly plucked

coward, the knife tells her

she knows.
death is quick but dying hurts

She said she might like to stay.
Then I said that might be ok.
And that was it.
Our stupid story had begun.
a tasteless empty word
like numbness of the fingers
like numbness of the tongue
a numbness of heart
and false plastic lungs
bland face
bland skin
bland stomach
and bland eyes
wax satisfaction
in a false candle pose
wax candle prose
by plain poet hands
I am a wax figurine poet
who writes
but bland
And here we are
the end.

Five years running
and nothing to show

except the slowed
platonic love

and tired

and an absence
of what once was

Except you don't know
do you

know that I'm
leaving us

know that I'm

into wondering
if I'm behind in

experiencing people

I feel I'm at a loss
with you

because we met each other
too soon

and now I'm just pointed bones

and you are the sun

and I'm greedy
for still wanting a piece of you

But I am burnt

The End.
I didn't think I'd write this kind of poem about you.
The universe loves a bad joke.
She said "I'm falling in love."

I said "I'm falling apart."
What's the difference?
we sat.
a woman passed.
she said,
"you look like you're enjoying each other."
she added,
"or the day."
you said,
"we're enjoying the day."
I was enjoying you.

when i was a kid
i always wonder why the moon kept following me
is she my best friend?
my protector during the nights i walk alone?
until  i grew older
and find her presence my peace
started telling her my secrets and dreams
sometimes we share our tears
we will talk all night
together we will fall asleep
the moon is my best friend. who is yours?

may you live well, rest well, and love well.

to better days ahead,

My Dear Poet
I am somewhere
inside this poem
Dan Filcek
you wanted a poem
sorry i disappointed
doesn't even rhyme
I see birds fly
from this concrete predicament
faces in ****** hands
I hurt and I cry
my hands are wet
on Pilates plateau
a place where bugs die.
David R
i climb the scaffolding
look down below
spirit faltering
will i die in the blow?

caffeine swirling,
dizziness whirling,
truth obscured

dry darkness,
unfeeling eyes,
dropping, heartless
out of the skies

failing, falling,
faster than water,
missed my calling,
embracing slaughter

but i'm still here,
didn't dare,
risk the fear
of devil's snare
This was a memory. At the moment I do not have any drastic suicidal wishes.
I love you so much
I just wish that was enough
To negate what Ive done
Robert Rittel
reflections from the past
play in present cast
futures re-echoes present
reincarnation apparent
its nature fighting ideal
soul love to feel
living sympathy awake
rapture of heart to take
one moment at times
a seeming year that climbs
a moment with you
sight of light
forever view

You've filled your pretty head
With a million excuses and lies.
Stop wasting your breath;
I've seen and heard it all a million times.
Sorry, little boy,
but you're not as cute as you think.
You may think you're water in a desert,
But I'm not desperate enough to drink.
Because I may be lonely, but I'm not alone.
Deidre Lockyer
In the morning of yesterday
There were strangers talking in my garden, heads close together
Intent on each other, in whispers
I heard them say your name
And the earth shifted a little...the season moved forward a little
And I heard myself sigh like a dreamer

Harvesting hearts and marigolds
The thief steals in when we least expect it, masqued and lithe
Wanting an exploration of Souls
Oblivious, if we’re generous
But still the knife cuts deeply...the blade turns without intention
And I’m bleeding out like a Madrigal

I loved you too much in the Mirrorfall
I found you in the violin’s shadow
Dust and star tears are my witnesses
I love you
My joy and my abyss
I am trying to believe in a love for me.
From sixteen to sixty
And all the days in between
From a lassie then a lady
To the woman in my dream
From sketch book to painting
From wondering and waiting
To building and creating
With fireworks and gold plating
From all that you mean
To being my queen
From nowhere to forever
And all the days in between.
Later this year my wife turns 60! I've written this with that in mind.
So many poems
and stories
have gone unwritten
due to fear of not being good enough
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Exclamation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!
Traveler Tim

No matter who you are
You have my deepest respect!

All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression
The lines we draw and stay within
Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends
Flowing from our pens
And so we breathe again
Believe in me.

Like I believe in you.

Are you scared to be alone?

We're not the same. We're different.

You know everything about me.

But It's still not enough for me

Even when I pour my heart out I feel so out of reach

I have your continuous love and support

Your such a dream to me

So I gotta go now

I'll hide the love letters I never sent

and you keep the vulnerable thoughts you never gave me.
Lucas Ennis
It feels like my wrists are burning
Blood is dripping down my arms
My head keeps screaming
I shouldn't of self-harmed.
My mom is going to be mad.
She's going to hit me again.
Give me another bruise.
Now my scars have some friends.
Just wash off the blood.
Dry off with the towel.
Wrap up your arms.
Go back to your personal bubble.
Isolate yourself for another week little girl.
Take you medicine.
And jump off the hill.
Just a little vent cause I feel icky.
Johnny Dust
its 7:26am
and i’ve convinced myself
that you still talk to me
in the form of bukowski quotes
left in places you know i’ll see
i haven’t slept
but when i close my eyes
we still talk a lot
If there comes a time
that you might lose me
Find me in my poetry
Dear Reader,
if you're reading this
it means
I'm dead
as a paper

to be etched
with the poem
I tried to write
so many times
when I was m-
In the present at this moment
As you look back at the years

May you feel satisfied, relax in peace
And there be very few tears

Remember that there are achievements
Great and small in many layers

Many lives that you have touched
Some from far, some very near

And You remain undisclosed
In some hearts and flourish in other

The timing is never right and the moment is gone,
For in the dark, behind the eyes,
Love continues to whisper

The dilemma to not cause a ripple
Makes a scream turn to a whimper

But isn't it a blessing to know you are loved
And to be cherished without any fear

The uncertainty around makes me want to declare,
A love that was never lost and will never be found
maybe people are meant
to fall in love
but not meant
to be together.

i was coming to terms with this
only to find out
we werent in love.
i was.
you never loved me
you didnt feel anything for me
you tried to,
but loving someone isnt something
you can make happen.

we always said we were meant to be, right?
perfect for each other
you said our love was pure
and real
and unbreakable.
look at it now,
its shattered.

falling in love with you
was the easiest thing
ive ever done.
falling out of love
will be the hardest.
i guess the [lovers] code has been cracked.
i can still hear the sound of your voice and smell the scent of your skin....i can tell you more of what i remember but where do i begin...
even though i am not right beside you..i am always with you believe it because it is true
forever you will be in my heart and make it beat.....for the rest of my life the love i have for you will never take a back seat.
# this you must Believe
The delicate curvature of your lips
Swirling arousal around my hips
Trailing deliciously intimate kisses

Until you’re enjoying yourself amongst my soft inner thighs;

Warmth trailing by moonlight
We kiss and the night is lost within your deep blue eyes.
