She watches as the wails
navigate the open sea,
they disappear under the blue.
She orders her vanilla
ice-scream,
in a bawl and not a cone.
She lies down on the

positioned bellow the sunshine.

I think sheโ€™s trying to tell you
something.

I confessed that I cried
while reading bright dead things,
and my mother smiled
because I'm the delicate kind,
and said that I loved poetry the way my grandfather did.

Shuttered eyes, slipping into the realisation
that it's funny how spirit skips a generation,
and all at once I'm bleeding blue,
recalling the pictures of you,
coated in tears that wet my lashes
like grass in morning dew.

I dress myself in pearls,
from what I've heard,
they were his favourite,
and walk to the Siren's sea,
in honour of a memory
that's not taken from me.

Because I still see him in my cousin's face and every gentle soul I meet.
I greet him with our mirrored mannerisms and the phrases I repeat.

I treat him with every plateful of pomegranates and sugarcanes.
I feel him every time this desert rains.

I hear him in his many namesakes,
hear his absence ringing in my mother's heartaches.

I'm near him when I pass his Phoenix palm in our garden,
towering tall, touching his ghost in the seventh heaven.

And when it's my time to drop the curtain,
and my poem fades into the mist,
I'll step into the afterlight,
and tell him all about it.

We men thirst like the vile beasts in brimstones nest . For war, for battle we we siege, in love and justices gory we reign. Our ladies, our woman only smell at best the rage that pumps in our chest . The pain, neverย ย shall we forget. The loving scent that kingdoms kept . But blood we thirst in veins we shed, for battle and war is what we are bread .

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

Shining on a hill
But from the inside looking out
Itโ€™s just another jail
It sometimes feels like the city walls are pressing in, suffocating me, but I canโ€™t leave, at least not yet. Soon, though, Iโ€™ll be leaving; soon... I just have to remember to breathe long enough to get there.

looking into someone's eyes

by looking at the mirror
is the most beautiful art
anyone should appreciate."

I should have not
turned myself

keeping your distance is a crime
I know this by the hurt in my chest
someone's placed you here in front of

you've put a gun to my head and I'm asking to die
for the sake of being dead
what I would do for you to crawl out of her

All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression

Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends

And so we breathe again

Tomorrow
I'm going to try again
Tomorrow
I will thrive
Even if today
It feels like
I'm the world's most broken,
Miserable man
I shall once more feel alive

Tomorrow
I will take the road
I have never taken before
And paint the world gold
And be afraid no more

Tomorrow
My dreams will come true
Tomorrow
I will rise and shine
Tomorrow
There will be no you
And the world will be mine

I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I donโ€™t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
Heโ€™s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
โ€œWeโ€™re perfect for each otherโ€
And you canโ€™t tell me
Heโ€™s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

Do You Remember?

What a loaded question.
Of course I do but
when and where?
The memories are anywhere and everywhere in my mind and
some are buttercups and pansies and some are stinging slaps and biting words yes. Yes
I remember so many things and I mostly want to
Forget.
I really want to
Forget it all.
So stop
Asking me
To remember
When I just want to
Forget.

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people donโ€™t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

Him
He shouts, cause there was a time when he wasn't loud enough.

He pushes people away, cause there was a time when someone hurt him.

He doesn't trust anyone, cause there was a time when someone broke that trust.

He's quiet, cause he's sick of being unheard.

He wants to be praised cause someone didn't value him enough.

He loves more, cause he was loved less once.

when kismet connived
to tear apart their lives

But no fire or storm or quake

they held on like two souls entwined

Watching her life
Fade away dying
Of cancer every day
As a lonely tear rolls
Down her face she's

my back feels empty
my heart does too
the bed doesn't cover it
the pillow I shield myself with
never do

right now,
i can't be satisfied
it just hurts,
my heart hurts

...physically
I've been feeling slight aching in my heart; it feels like it has been squeezed or something. I know that it hurts a little...

My back feels a little bit empty, but maybe I just wanted to be hugged like I hugged my friends. I wished they did it back...
Thereโ€™s nothing I would do
To get close to you

Nothing I would say
Baby just donโ€™t walk away

Thereโ€™s nothing I would do
I just wanna hold on to you

Nothing I would say
Just wish I could stay

Would you take the time,

Would you mend,

It tears and rips,
easily, emotionally.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.
