A misplaced angel dreams of lush facades,
Marinated in an amber-honey glaze that
pools into the streets, homes and
hearts of its radiant inhabitants

I wish to rip that page
from Dorothy Gale's book,
heel clicking until I am back
in that primal womb of sunshine

where I am able to soak in
the richness of natal nutrients
conceived for my angeleño heart
Just been missing home for a while now. Thanks for the outlet y'all.
there she was
pure as ice
i didn't know at first
as she came to serve
by my side
stay safe. always. <3
Sometimes I just go into a daydream
And never want to come back to reality
I need you
to be strong for me
when I am weak
& one blink away
from tears falling.

I want to be
strong for you
when you are fragile
& one breath away
from breaking.
Lauren Johnson
I will spread dirt into every crevice of my broken heart and plant flowers so big and beautiful, that their roots will mend all the shattered pieces back together, and you’ll never be able to see the mess I used to be.
loving you is like loving sunset
in the end of the day
it happened

it's gradual
it's quiet
it's magical
it's fated

before slowly, leisurely wrap my world in darkness
I don't want to die from this planet
to reach heaven for salvation.
I want to fly from this planet to heavenly bodies
to attain peace.
Dismal mood with disdain and despair days
Unknown Girl
Tall and Beautiful is she
Smart and Strong way stronger than me
Graceful like an angel sent from above
Gave me all her attention and love
The moment we met the second I saw her face
But no one can match you for turn of phrase
Dearest Kayley please never change

I asked the moon this night
"Will everything is gonna be alright?"
I received no answer
Yet, it shined brighter
I guess, that is the answer
Soon, it'll all get better

― Mizuki
if this was just a simple fancy,
how come it lasted years
where you're the only one I see
albeit you've caused these tears?
Isn’t it funny,
The happiness we pretend to have
Is the very thing
Holding us back from living.
She said "I'm falling in love."

I said "I'm falling apart."
What's the difference?
Mountain of books,
Laying across my looks,
Sitting across my eyes,
Now why can I not oblige?

A scent of ascent--
the breach of emergence.

Secret secretion
of Con & Di vergence.

A shift.
“Falling in love” is a contradiction in itself, because in love there is only the rising, the ascending, not the falling.
You can not fall in love, but rather, rise.
Slightly Lovely
I have never ached more,
for someone to call me good.
To look at me.
to press kisses to my face,
to rub circles on my skin.
to see me as a flower or the stars.
I cannot shed another tear
my soul will not bear it
your actions are loud and clear
finished with the pain, you conflict

This door is no longer open.
Are you even capable of genuine love?
I shall sit here quiet and broken
praying to the one above

Pieces of a heart shattered
on the floor to sweep and gather
feeling alone, but mostly tattered
I refuse to feel any madder

No longer will you lie
or miniplate me.
I will not be your supply
that's a guarantee.

there are two types of sadness

there’s the kind of sadness
we ignore and
try to get rid of it
by finding new things to do
or we find someone to talk to
by blatantly avoiding any type of conversation
about feeling sad
about having any feelings at all
and then there’s that kind of sadness
that takes over
and it consumes any activity we do
we know it’s there
and there’s no possible way to avoid it
so we feed it exactly what it wants
it craves the sad music
it craves the isolation
it craves the anxiousness
and the sadness comes storming in
it has no manners
here we are calling sadness, an “it”
when all it is
is a feeling
that most people
call home
Astonishingly beautiful world,
the zephyr kissed me
come to play with river mists

you brought the sun in your eyes,
the church sun dial came to now,
coalesced into one,
my world was caught,
between a finger and thumb

radiant morning
I flew your line of sight,
Helios lit my wings in white.

Secretly, Titania, and Oberon
Had cast a magical spell
The guests were despatched
To a strange Dingly Dell
Their eyes changed colour
And they all grew wings
And flew around in circles
Doing all sorts of things
Some crashed into each other
Some crashed to the ground
Others flew into trees
Some sang silly sounds
Many got dizzy
And a couple were ill
And when they woke up next morning
They were perched upon my window sill
I beckoned them in
To tell me their tales
But none could remember
Because of the spells!

Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Exclamation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!

No matter who you are
You have my deepest respect!

All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression
The lines we draw and stay within
Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends
Flowing from our pens
And so we breathe again

Dancing between demons and dreams
Why did I leave?
When did I get here?
When did I start this spark in the dark?
Lost in my fear
Frost frozen clear
To everyone but me
But here I spin in uncertainty
Is all this dreaming a poison or a cure to me?
We used to give a hip hurray
but now we don't,

Friday's not the same
no work to moan about
no bosses to blame
just another day,

no pubbing
clubbing, no
rubbing my hands with glee when
she decides to dance with me,

there is nothing but the endless
the internet
Ricky Gervais, and
'the infinite monkey cage'

But it's when you wake up in a lighthouse
that you know you're in Fraggle Rock.
if getting there is half the fun
There was a girl
She had everything she wanted
She had
a lot of friends
a job she liked
a happy relationship
And no worries
It felt surreal
It felt like a dream
It was
Hearing a 6 am alarm clock
Getting back to reality
full of obstacles, problems, worries
and responsibilities
She crawled out of bed
And began her day-to-day encounter
with life
Good luck
I pour a basket of chances to cover all your unjustifiable actions

It's 11:11
and for the first time
after a very long time
I'm wishing for myself
and not for you
I'm weary now and seek to rest
I need a place to stay
A hand to reach out for
A smile to light my way

A voice to beckon to me
When silences stretch too long
And eyes to hold my tears
Someone to walk along

If I like her,
I will ask her,
and she, will tell me no.

you are beautiful as a field of wildflowers
stretching as far as the horizon in every direction
each wildflower, just as beautiful as the entire field itself

she glares through the skies
beaming light
dancing rays.
heads floating gracefully,
feet airborne
hair waving in slow flow.
smiles magnetized to her beauty
tears crawl out from under
in awe of her captivating glow.
trusting her healing spirit
we write poetry
in different
yours in
and mine in
your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that

I wish you loved me
but most of all
I wish I loved myself
I'm tired of pretty poems. My thoughts are good enough
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems like *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.
Life can be
Such a mess
So get out there
And do your best

You fell down
Well, get back up
I never meant
To be so rough

The world is fast
And it ain't fair
Love is hard
And it's cold out there

Life can be such a mess
It's up to you
To do your best...

You are not the love of my life,
You are the life of my love ❤️
they buried a poet
sprinkled his words over coffin
tossed a book into dirt alongside
and waited few decades
to have a leaf sprout
for winds to carry his lines
to one with open ears
another circle in a world of squares
have phrases strain down the cheeks
into ink smeared on paper

buried in a trashcan
in a diary
in a library
in dirt
everywhere really...

She wanted to turn her pain into art
So she decided her skin was a canvas
But the brush was too sharp
And the lines were too deep
So red paint soaked through
And there was nothing other than tragedy
For the art was not beautiful
Like sunsets and flowers
It was harsh and sad
Even though the lines were clean
It left a mess on the bathroom floor
And the paint stained her arms
And she sat peacefully watching
The masterpiece she created
Be later hidden by long sleeves
