i feel your touch on my skin
i feel only one thing
i feel the love that you breathe
even with no one around

i see the light where you stand
even on a late winter night
i see the dreams that we planned
all the things that we said suddenly became real

no this isnโ€™t fate nor is it plain
these are the days we worked for
and the days we claimed
no, we are far from perfect
we take it one day at a time and see
Everything is better when you are with me.

our love is like trying to keep long, free hair
from tickling your face.

our love, darling, is like the stickiness of dough sticking to your fingers before you make your baked treat.

our love is messy, yes. crazy at times? absolutely.
but it yields the most beautiful and fun amazing moments.

You do not want a poem, note, rose laid at your feet,
But i write for the You, i know is deserving of everything this pen can muster

You are the opening of the dawn, taking it's time as it opens up the sky,
Entirely illuminating the spaces it can find,
Filling it with love, Joy only the dawn can bring

I know, i know,
you are still tiptoeing through the maze that shapes into circles, hills and valleys,
At the heart of each puzzle, your pen will unravel

As you glide on the summer winds into the orchestra of stringed anthems,
You are loved by the minds, eyes that feast on your words, voice and the in-between.

Chasing after rainbows at midnight

Greeting the morning barefoot

Letting my smile linger a second longer

Than any conversation

Collecting fortune cookie fortunes in my back pocket

Believing the world is more beautiful at dusk

Recite my dreams in two second poems

Watch the city breathe

Collecting the lights in my hands

Setting them free in my closet

I will paint this city in my rules

Live within my own lines

Ponder a second too long on the ridiculous

Greet this life with a mischief smile and open arms

You hear the static sea
It comes closer

the newspaper and i have something in common

overtime, we are forgotten about
overtime, we begin to decay
overtime, the sun beats down on us
overtime, we are torn apart piece by piece
overtime, there will be nothing left.
inspired by the newspaper that has been sitting in my neighborโ€™s driveway for over 2 months lol.

Ascending constant strain.

Obsession or Depression?
Combustion or Consumption? Confusion or Delusion?

The mirror's blunt conclusion.

slowly falling in despair,
we were never the perfect pair.

i was willing to do anything
but i remembered we weren't even a thing.
you make my heart flutter
whenever sweet words you utter.

tormented by your fake loveโ€“ i kept it hidden.
unshed tears and pain inside i hid.
sending signs of chaos from within,
the line between us was so thin.

i kept knocking on your walls.
you're the future I crave for and i gave my all
but then i saw you with her and you were perfect together.
just like gravitation belonging to matter and not to ether.

-The Dream

Pressed upon her throat
Was her inevitable fate, seconds away
From seizing
Her last moments she dreamt
Would be in the wings of tranquil.

Mercy departed from his soul,
Empathy ran dry from his eyes,
His mouth discharged a foul
Lust for blood,
Forming a wave of legions
Stumbling over one another to
Taste fresh meat.

Skinned of his morality, stripped of love,
He took on the ways of Asakku
And cloaked himself with sin to grieve his companion;
The great shield of faith once
Guarding his conscious,
But now weeps for his shepard
on the ground of rejection
For bound they are not.

Within the knotted brown
Sack dangling by his waist side
Lies her severed head,
Swirling in a pit of maggots
Counting her days
Till his will is made known.

Sun
You we're my sunshine
But then I remembered that the sun doesn't just shine for one person.
A ripple forms an endless tide
Turns water into a theme park ride
With waves crashing down and forming swirls
The colors; blue, with ocean pearls
Crisp and strong; the current falls
Making big, look really small
For as far out as the horizons end
More ocean than there is dry land

Drive your spile
Into me,
And take what you've tapped.

Been going on miles,
Last night's dream
Was of two maps.

We alternate
Between the two,
Getting there ain't our right.

Time's gone late,
And who knew?
Missed the turn off last night.

Now or later,
Drink it down,
Do I satiate the thirst?

Now a neighbor
In a new town,
I'll go say hello first.

Almost
Such a terrible word
Shatters you into a million pieces
Takes every ounce of you
before being uttered
Takes you within a hair's breadth of the target
And then kicks you miles away
Makes you question the stars
Even when it was your fault all along
Creeps up in your mind
at the middle of the night
Like a robber
Leaving you behind to search
your hallways for answers
I was almost there
I was almost there and yet not.

Why do I have the punishment?
Separated, outcast, cast aside.
Too inconvenient for acknowledgment.

Parties continue, pictures are taken.
I have been erased.

"Why are you bleeding all over the place?"
Why must the victim pay for the crime?

day 2

my world has felt like
it has crashed around me
so many times
that there is no dramatic reaction
to the pain that pools from my chest

as the storm tangles her claws in my hair
And rakes me across her bony spine
I stoop down to collect the pieces
broken, shattered , and rough
and tuck them quickly down my sleeve
I rebuild the same frame and heartbeat
The same breath and the same stretch marks

The puzzle fits together snugly enough
For the audience not to notice its cracks.
I rested my feet on deck
and took a gaze above.
Behind me were clouds of trail,
released from ship's exhaust.
As the sun hid shelter
on the horizon.
The crimson splash
had painted aloft the skyline.
Instantly,
the sky was suffused with day and night.
A surge of dusk breeze blew my head.
Memories from the past wandered my mind.
In a blink of an eye I realizedโ€”
I'm not over you.

In my nothingness, you discovered her
Leaving me to grief losing you

Pull me open,

Breath me in;

Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;

Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.
