Words float in the air
They rearrange themselves into a sentence
form a picture of a train and roll away

Words shaped like balloons
They float away but will be back soon

Words hiding in a tree
Leaves fall to the ground and form sentences for me

Musical notes rearrange themselves on a scale
Fingers jumping from fret to fret
or dancing on the piano keys
These are some of the things I see

Ocean waves roll in and write on the sand
Once it just wrote, "I AM"
Seashells with words lie on the beach
In a sentence they realign
Thank you Lord for this beautiful mind

Will only cause you pain
Just say no!
No to drugs
Yes to God
Save your life, your future.
love God and prioritize your health!
Having her by my side
Was a major coup of mine.
But now she's not around,
with sins my hands were bound.
The weight of guilt is difficult to bear,
Yet lost in her memories while having beer;
The sour remembrance of better days
and the sweet essence of bitter fights,
There are sins to expiate but
redemption lies in remembrance.

your cheeks a pinkish hue
walking through the snowy woods
all i want right here with you

the softest kiss

arms around you
wind softly blows
it's cold
but i can't tell

my love will dwell
boots are crunching
soft white snow
i love you more

In a world where deep love
Becomes a deep cut
An emotionally draining scar
That gets to replay in your mind
In a world  where being perfect
Was never good enough
No matter the effort
Your heart breaks
Your head overthinks
Your soul getting crushed by the weight
In a world where you’re staying up late
Alone with the loneliest feeling in the world
Let me sleep forever

Will make your heart race.
The corners of your lips just
Upturn so suddenly
That you only notice your smile
When you step forward and feel
The cement  pieces
Of a shattered frown
On the ground beneath your feet.

I climbed a mountain, I hoped to know,
Over rocks and ice and snow,
I asked the sun in morning glow,
Where do the broken hearted go?

The Sun just laughed and moved away,
To brighten up another day.
So I took the fast way down below,
To where the broken hearted go.

I DON’T WANT ANYTHING
I JUST WANT
TO BE LEFT ALONE

I RESENT THAT YOU CARE

LET ME GO AND
TURN YOUR BACK ON ME
SO I CAN FIND MY PEACE

I DON’T WANT TO HURT YOU

BUT IT’S AWFUL HARD
NOT TO GET YOU CAUGHT
IN MY CROSSFIRE OF PAIN

SO LEAVE ME ALONE

YOU’LL BE BETTER OFF
NOT WORRYING ABOUT ME

AND I’LL BE BETTER OFF
NOT HAVING TO RESTRAIN MY URGES
FOR YOUR SAKE

I COULD FINALLY MELT INTO MY ILLNESS
DRIPPING INTO ONE ANOTHER
UNTIL I’M UNRECOGNIZABLE

LET

ME

GO

PLEASE

YOU’D BEST BE ON YOUR WAY
OFF IN A SEPARATE DIRECTION
TOWARD BETTER THINGS AND PEOPLE

BECAUSE I AM TIRED OF FIGHTING
SO MUCH MORE THAN YOU KNOW
AND I’D LIKE TO REST SOON

“the simplest definition of our learning to count to infinity”

wrote those words
to a stranger in pain, awful pain,
asking him to count his blessings

now awful pain
no stranger to me

a pain four decades long,
that the surgeon promised was fully excised.

but today was triggered,
chest pain dagger ingredient emergency room

so I am counting for,
but not to,
counting on

infinity

when the wounding cannot be recalled,
only a minor scar to struggle from whence
came it from

which is the definition of reaching the
infinity place,

where finite comes to rest

In her gauzy garments
Above the bowing trees
The moon has many lovers
In the sighing breeze.

They all take her dancing
In exotic lands
They give her sparkling diamonds
They kiss her milk-white hands.

She is round & fullsome
Or slender as a waif
When she is then waning
Her flowers are kept safe.

Silken skeins of darkness
When she's waxing full
Are parted by her brightness
She is NEVER dull!

Her beaux are all so courtly
But she eschews them all
Her only love can make her pale
She burns at his call...

She lets out her moonbeams
Through her eyes they seep
She loves the one eclipsing her
They can NEVER meet!

She, so strong within her court
Will curtsey when he comes
The moon has many lovers

But she's taken by the SUN.

the way I carry myself
the burdens of boulders

So if you want to know
I'll bottle it inside
wrap up all remains in a black bow
and tell you I'm fine.

And surround me by things I can’t have
Just drown me in temptation
That I can’t give in to
And you won’t talk to me
Because I’m not fun
Because I can’t drink with you
So I’m just sitting here
Alone
Isolated
Depressed
Waiting for all you drunk idiots
To just let me leave

It hurts to want so badly to be a part of it all
To need to be included
But to be sitting on the edge of the room
Counting down the minutes
Until I can just leave you all alone
To enjoy yourselves

Vibrant yellow tips the blue
Fragments of air get trapped
Under  movements of Fall
The birds are escaping and you follow thus call.

The hills and morning dew glisten
The path's marked clear
Then a pair of boots comes
And kills what you raptly found to listen.

When  morning marches end
And you're left with sunshine bathing in the train
And you listen to the beatings of the wind
You remember the gifts given from the Fall's golden hand.

Later, leaving footsteps in the snow
You remember the birds call
And you look at your heavy bones,
Sensing the coldness and its hands so dull.

"I can't fly, can I?"
You ask.
The clock strikes midnight, overpowering the call.
The answer's given - "Why bother at all?"

I stumbled upon you
Like a child
that finds a pretty stone

Bewildered by your presence
I sat and admired
Counting your cracks
Caressing what makes you glitter

You stood infront of me
Bold and beautiful
Like nothing I'd ever seen

And as you gave me your attention
I think I misconstrued your intentions

I wanted to put you in my pocket
But you said no

So there you sit
Perfectly unpolished
A love

When I was small
I wrote a song.
It was as wild
As it was long.

I did not know
How to write words
And so I sang
With the morning birds.

Now I am grown,
I am depressed.
I write long things
Just to impress.

I do not sing,
I only sigh.
When I was small
I was alive.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

A poet is no more than a person
A mother
A daughter
A lover
Someone needing release
Or someone needing to recover

It’s the art they create when that ball of ink or stick of led dances on the canvas they so perfectly prepared.
And when the end result and their purpose become perfectly paired.

Why does the moon fascinate me
Is it the White Hallow ?
Or the unwritten Love story?
Is it the love of my unknown lover
Or the one i crave to Meet
The lover I've only imagined
When i sing the love story
or when i drive off in a movie
Why does the moon fascinate me ?
Does my lover know i love the moon?
The love of my life is waiting for me
The one I've always wanted
The lover i dreamt is waiting
To fullfil my hopeless Romantic Dreams
To  stare at the starry trails
And to write the star love story i want
Why does the moon always fascinate me?

" Cut yourself"

Just a cut
Just a scratch
"What's that mark?"
"It was the cat."
Just an excuse
Just a lie
"What's with all the bracelets?"
" Just fashion, why?"
Just a tear
Just a scream
" Why were you crying?"
"Just a bad dream."
But it's not just a cut, or a tear, or a lie
It's 'just one more' until you die
this poem is about me

I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.
