Gone Lifting
Autumn

Leaves
Wither
Surrender
They fall in retreat
Grasping
Visions of your splendor
They die at your feet
I am planning to do each season at a time on here as I write them. I believe this is one of the best ones I've written in awhile.

it just wasn’t meant to be
keep on saying that to me
you’re right, we both know
I’ll try harder to go with the flow

you’re so chilled, life is a breeze
would you cope if your mind was diseased?
death is upon us my dear friend
soon we’ll be rotting, let’s not pretend

oh, but what if you’re already rotting?
well then maybe we are the same
i too, am dead inside
my corpse tiptoes around in shame

validation is all we seek
then you’ll wonder how life became so bleak
calm down, soon you will decease
unless you give that trapped emotion some release

Old habbits die hard
There are thoughts on my mind
One thing I need to learn
Is the power of control
To lose oneself in someone else
Used to make a lot of sence
I never felt this way before
To be locked out will work no more
I have the key to my own soul
Picked up the pieces on my own
Back in touch with my emotions lately
Faced my fears, no need to save me.

Wild in my eyes sees it in you
I've never been owned
Chained up
Tied down
Forced to be anything else
You don't look like you can be owned
A possession
Wild.......free.........with fire
I didn't notice the man on your arm
I noticed your lack of interest in this place
We should go

I love u in summer, where days are long and life is bright

I lose u in autumn, where shallow death is a part of nature

I hate u in winter, where the air is sharp and spitting darkness

I miss u in spring, where nature's rebirth kills me every day
I wanna forget you

What if,
we are actually
living in the past ?
millions miles away ...
seeing only the light,
like that of dead stars.
that reach us years after
they die ...
giving us a moment
to witness
the miracle of time !!

What is the balance between tolerance and temperance?
Between what we want and what we need?
Certainty and doubt?
We all waiver
When instead
We should close our eyes
Tilt our heads back
And swing
Until we are undoubtedly beckoned to leap

And for once in my life
I was happy because
You came back to me
Too long  have been obsessed with  this
Riddle.  I must let it go that things are
Not as they seem .neiher this nor that..
I cannot sing my song and think about
This riddle that is not a riddle at all but
Simply the way things are and are not

There you are through the seasons
quietly standing
in your humble green
not seeking attention or glory
even in spring your little magenta flowers
peak out from your branches too modest
to make a loud fuss.

The scent of your body
transports me
to the place of your birth,
the plains of heaven.

May I take your simple doctrine
of acceptance and humility
to heart and rest silently
unconcerned with appearance
happy to let a soft inner light
be the meek gospel of the universe.
This morning I was reflecting on the way the divine is manifested (and mostly ignored) all around me in the most humble things of creation.  Then I noticed the sage bush in our back yard, planted and growing a little way off from the corner of the sidewalk.  I remember smudging (burning a small bunch of sage) as a meditative spiritual practice decades ago. I can almost smell the unique aroma of the smoke rising to my nostrils and on to the heavens.  Even the memory gives me a momentary wonderful peace.

A poet is no more than a person
A mother
A daughter
A lover
Someone needing release
Or someone needing to recover

It’s the art they create when that ball of ink or stick of led dances on the canvas they so perfectly prepared.
And when the end result and their purpose become perfectly paired.

The snow is falling
Covering the earth in white
Silence hangs above
Wala ba akong karapatan mapagod?

At kahit minsan sana'y
Maramdaman ko ulit
Ang tunay na kapayapaan

The light of the setting moon
had to sleep
No answer

Why'd you run off?
No reason

Just interested to get away
because the night's gone all day
wondering what life is

I do not feel the necessity
This is actually a blackout poem from To **** a Mockingbird, page 157 (at least in my version).

I don't always say much
It's like a slight touch
People go silent when I speak
They listen to me like I'm a freak
Saying whatever I say
That makes everything okay
Giving them peace of mind
Getting me out of any bind
Another song on Pandora that invigorated me

She was the sun, I was the moon.
She lit up my entire world.
I was there in the darkest times.
Trying my hardest to support her.

Everyone else seemed like stars,
Waiting for her to explode.
But, alas, I wasn’t. She was my light.
She was the only reason I was seen.

Without her, I was useless.
Just a speck in the infinity.
The moon of an uninhabited planet.
I mean, do you care about Jupiter’s moons?

Will confuse and lose the mind

I stumbled upon you
Like a child
that finds a pretty stone

Bewildered by your presence
I sat and admired
Counting your cracks
Caressing what makes you glitter

You stood infront of me
Bold and beautiful
Like nothing I'd ever seen

And as you gave me your attention
I think I misconstrued your intentions

I wanted to put you in my pocket
But you said no

So there you sit
Perfectly unpolished
A love

I can only visit
She takes the stand
With the voice of millions on her back
And speaks the fact that we all know,
far too well to be true -
                                           Me too.

She is heard but not believed,
She is heard with faith deceived .

When will it be enough -
Is one in six not enough ?
Is one sister, one friend
still - not enough?

one colleague, one mother, one wife, one lover -
one teacher, one doctor, one preacher, one author -
one husband, one son, one brother.
Which one will it take, to stop
the non-consensual clock
and make us realise that -

Time. Is. Up.

and the walls shake,
When the babies crawl,
and the old break.
As the light descends,
and darkness screams,
I close my eyes,
and the world dreams.
Close your eyes
Count to ten
Take a breath
Find a pen
Write it out
Let it loose
Don't get lost
In these woods
For one day
You might get stuck
Way too far
In the muck

It gets close to you
Closer than I ever will
It touches your skin

So I say
I'm jealous of the rain
Sorry I haven't written anything as of late. I have been really busy with school. I really hope you enjoy.

Eventually, it'll happens to us all.

You'll catch yourself deep in thought,
or time will freeze mid-reaction.

And you'll wonder if it's possible
for the thinker to watch himself thinking...
for the mind to be aware of the mind.

That's when you'll have to decide if
you're in control of your mind,
or if it's in control of
you.

Blue are morrows in dreams of green!
Grey are monuments in screams of red!
Black are memories in shades of white!
... colours of heroes yet to be read!

Velvet are twilights in streams of blue!
Orange are sunsets in clouds of grey!
Purple are lampshades in pieces of black!
... colours of heroes yet to replay!

Bronze are meddles in shadows of gold!
Brown are memories in veils of black!
Beige are beauties in times of green!
... colours of heroes yet to be back!

Everything thats good about you..

My hair, the way you like it,
or the dress, last time you said i looked beautiful.
i wore it again, just for you.

But all you noticed was,
My comfortable shoes which i dnt like to change,
and my blue nailpaint which maybe doest suited but that color makes me happy.

I once was
in a hospital for depressed people
and I have never seen a place where roles
were switched
in such a paradoxal way.
Also the doc's final statement to me was: Well we think something must have just really made you insecure. Next time that happens, just do anything to distract yourself - clean the windows if necessary, just anything really!
This was such a symbolical statement. I think the doctors were much more scared inside than I was. I just stirred them up.
Don't ever hand over your own healing powers. You always have them.

Invariably,
You prefer to come
To me in the dark.
"You're more my temperature then,"
You once said.
I'm not much of a thermometer,
But I am the eurythmy
To each syllable you give
In such settled shadow.
A play of murmurs and fingertips
You once named this.
Always I see a wreath in your hair,
In colors of Persia,
Textures of night,
And the soft blended lines
Of you I know
Infallibly.
Vespertine - occurring in the evening.
