A new addiction was born,
A little while ago,
A new happiness was born,
Which remained all unknown,
All these years that passed,
Like the stars in the day sky,
As i fill the paper with all known,
I fall in love with this game ,
This new game of my mind and pen.
It was during this quarantine that i started writing poem.. Exactly a month ago..
And i am loving this

A touch of sea foam
as it bubbles up the beach
covers my cold feet

A smokey gray sky
assists the calm of the sea
no ripples today

I smell salty air
the sea is so curative
I can float all day

So soft
more soft
too soft
shouldn't be soft
but couldn't be anything more than soft
perhaps couldn't be anything less than soft
beneath soft
not as soft
couldn't be strong without being soft.

so be soft, as soft as a moon in cancer

You
The love you never had
The pain you always carried
The trust you never showed
The guilt you were consumed by
The joy you were seeking
The anger you held inside

The rest of them could never see
But I did
Because I was once like you

There is an embrace hanging
As yet unenacted,
A smouldering aching yearning thing
That burns and writhes and
Demands to be born into reality

An embrace that promises so much
Yet threatens more and with equal vigour,
Turns a world upon its head yet
Fills a need so completely
And quenches an aching heart
To someone somewhere this poem will speak volumes for someone surely must know what this means.
I pray
That everyday
Will be a good one

I pray
That there is hope
For everyone

I pray
That love is there
For every soul

I pray
That everyone
Has a good day

Every day!

Every time you break me
Just know, my bones are adhering
I’m getting stronger
I’m getting smarter
I’m getting harder and harder to break
And one day, darling, one day
I’ll have no more mercy left for you
And I’ll be strong enough to hit back
two little bees were flying round a tree
one said to the other will you marry  me.

one he was the king the other was the queen
both of them agreed and set the wedding scene.

they invited friends insects that they knew
ladybirds and ants and lots of others to.

then they both got married the wedding was complete
flew in to there hive for a bite to eat.

I regret telling
them about
you
letting
you back in
bringing you from the
dark

Even with the looming fear
of your absence, I crave
your bitter affection..

I'm hooked
see the look in your eyes
and my name on your lips
has me dancing
with sin

A moment to breathe
Fresh air filling my lungs
A moment where I feel more
That’s all I need
and we
won't just
  survive
    but we'll
      thrive till
        we're five
           and make
              peace with
                 our hearts
                     till we're
                         feeling
                              alive

Here's another story to tell,
He's her shinning star,
The galaxies on her skies,

But here's another to tell,
She's the darkness inside her head,
And so he is blind, he never see her ever since...

The shanties of the shore are the tide’s wives in clay,
The uxorious sea fawns at the blushed lips of the beach,
A serenade from the sung-exhalations of all living things,
Though eternity is the stillness of silence repeating.

if i had kept his words unread
until after the teasing of the moonlight
as the first golden rays stir... then awake
and the frrt-frrt sound of the sugarbirds spread

then his voice
would have sounded one more time

if i had clipped its flier feathers
assured it could not escape before dawn
if only i had caged the message of his pen
it would have stayed captive... and only then
the words said would have remained unsaid

but i could not wait
to set his last words free
until the cycle of the seasons change
the colours of sunsets rearrange
or until the sugarbirds migrate
Don't you sometimes wish you had not opened that message...

I sit at my window each dark fall and whisper
to the bright orb filling my vision.
I ask the moon to keep my secrets safe and I assure him
that it is the right decision.
The moon is my confidant;
I swim in his debt
as he hasn’t broken a promise,
not ever, not yet.

THAT STEPHEN KING MOMENT

the scarecrow's head
all at once falls off
scaring the birds to the skies
Don't mind the scarecrow is always losing the head when he fails to scare them the ordinary he always resorts to this old trick.

I guess the mice had been eating their way through his thoughts...they would peep out of his eyes but comes a time they had eaten his head enough for it to fall off...it didn't half frighten my little girl...after that I could never convince her that it wasn't alive...it became a Stephen King trope for her and she never trusted it again.

I’m addicted to the feel of cold metal sliding across bare flesh
Addicted to the instant
when nothing marks smooth skin
immediately before
red rivers rapidly rise
painting a once white canvas
with a flood of emotion,
tears on my cheeks,
sobs caught in my throat,
numbness replaced by pain & sadness.
Addicted to the imperfection
of red welts and dotted scabs that follow,
fingers drawn like magnets
to the texture of healing skin,
tracing over and over and over now fading ridges
Amazed that I am strong enough
to heal myself over and over and over.
Convincing myself that I am strong enough.
I find strength in my weakness.

For all the things you took
I think you gave much more
This I will always have
That I have known love before

I thank both you and myself
For letting you in
Not a day goes by
I wish that I didn’t

The only thing worse
Than feeling love’s loss
Would be to have left this life
Not knowing love at all

I wear makeup to work,
So people treat me better.

I work with fish.
I get covered in slime.
I don't make tips.
(Not that, that is acceptable)
I have a fiance.
I'm off market.
I'm not there to impress anyone.

No makeup.
I'm ignored.
My credentials are questioned more.
They pick fights.
They behave poorly.

With makeup well,
I only have to deal with one creepy person.

I wear makeup to work,
So people treat me better.

Someone once called me demure,
I didn't know the word
I looked it up that night
It stuck with me ever since
I'm quiet, I know
But the beast growls low inside
Begging for release
It distracts me sometimes
I don't hear what you said or I nod solemnly
To hide my inner longing to be free
I'll keep my face in the light
And I'll growl at night
BLT's word of the day challenge. Demure

As I watch the sunrise
I feel my heart set

The early morning light makes sure I can never forget

The lies
Apologies
Broken promises
Shattered dreams

The love you give to me
Covers what's beneath the seams

I've seen your true colors
I won't fall for it anymore

I've risen past it all
And gone of to my own sunset

Thinking about getting a tattoo
But, I take pause...
Looking in the mirror
I see my body’s already covered
Marked in invisible ink
Every inch of my bare skin
Painted with the joy and pain of living
From my heart to my hips
Color faded here, but poppin’ over there
Memories designed by your hands
Others etched on my own
A collection that makes me smile
Among a few pieces I regret
So, about getting a tattoo...
I guess I’m not ready
Because I can’t think of a tattoo
Meaningful enough, yet
To write over any of the life I’ve lived

on my feet
so many people
are so tired

Why does it always feel like
no one's listening
when I talk?
I'm never loud enough..
I fell in love with candlelight-
in my darkness, she shone so bright.
She danced the breeze, lit up the night,
her glow consumed my very sight.

But wax and wick both burn away,
and candlelight just cannot stay.
As sure as night turns into day,
that fickle flame will go astray.

But for a moment, through the storm,
she lit my world, she kept me warm,
then flickered out, as is the norm
for candlelight, its fleeting form.

I fell in love with candlelight,
for but a moment, all was right.
Her glow, her dance, consumed my sight,
and faded out at end of night.

Distance does make the heart grow fonder.
I'm laying here and wondering
If everything’s okay.
Wondering if I hurt you by what I do and say.
My words are daggers.
My actions are flames.
But I'm evolving because I refuse to stay the same.
But a knight in shining armour
Can defeat any harm
Can break down any wall
And will always be there
To catch me when I fall.

your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about
you;

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that
