is a lonely man
that let many opportunities
pass him
insecure
a gauche man
unrefined
that resigned himself
for less
because it was safe
now even today
the only thing changed
is
he’s older
more plump
with less hair
but no wiser
in that
he still is
what he wrote himself
to be
in the lyrics
he construed
did not change
history

I liked life a lot
better when it held
more promises
places where you feel
appreciated
At least the leaves breeze
the wind sounds like the sea
I can still fleet anywise
never naturally happy
with silence and belonging

There is a moment
in everyone's life
where they feel
this love that just
overflows so beautifully
that they forget that they
ever felt any different
This powerful
flow of emotions
simply takes
over and can't help
but transform their whole
life with meaning and colour.

On the nights when I lie contorted in bed,
I dance with the straw men inside my own head, I stuff them all plump with bushels of dread and I sigh when they smother my dreams.

There are nights when I cry for all those I’ve met that only live to experience death,
I wail and I wish that they’d cherish their breath... at least I can cherish my own.

Other evenings I feel cold and alone,
I cling to my wall, I create my own home- with a gamine girl in a fantasy dome;
us trapped together forever.

Sometimes I stay up till times beyond reason, thinking of conversational treason,
of things that I’ve planted directly in loam,
that ever still refuse to grow.

Rhymes are liquid,
That I know.
They are as liquid
As melted snow.

Rhymes are liquid
They can flow
And take the shape
Of what you shape it so
Rhymes are most definitely liquid.

Rhymes can leak
Out of your mouth.
Just like water
Both liquid, no doubt.

Just like room temp. mercury
Is rhyme’s liquidity.

Rhymes not contained
Can be a mess.
Just like how
Spilled milk
Is not the best.

This poem here
Is evidence
That rhymes being liquid
Makes much sense.

trapped and wrapped in cages with
pages of longing and wronging brought
to silence, to nothing by the deep, in

there when i struggle to find you,

dont reward
my desperation

when necessity to be self-sufficient in solitude crawls through my **** pores
i lose my way with words, and so i wander,
sometimes back to you, but you're afraid of gore

so

dont speak
when i wish you would

dont be
what you used to be

as the fondness of these memories can only be as painful as they are treasured,
please reap these knotted livewire roots to the past,
please leave them severed.

please.

Can we please not pretend to like each other?
It hurts,
the sweetness of your voice hurts.
the truth hurts.
But every time you look at her,
I die each time.

Please be raw with me.
Either leave me,
or keep me alive.

Just don't place me in the dark,
I'm not your puzzle piece anymore.
Think twice before you love someone. Because once you're committed, there's no going back.

All this abandoned deserted land
My heart, my soul, and my hand,
Disappeared it will, in a blink
Like the blow of the wind, like sand...

All my father's sorrow and pain
Vanity of his life through his vein
Disappeared it will, in a blink,
Like the dry weather by a rain.

Feel of the last breaths of my mother
Feel of being a man for my lover
Disappeared it will, in a blink,
As ghosts of my room, when I'm sober.

This is sad if you agree or if not
An urge to save it all, but you cannot
Disappeared all of it will, in a blink
This is so bad, this is so hard, this is a LOT!

Sad, it is to think and think and think
To this fact that make you shrink
Disappeared it will, in a blink
Disappeared, it will in a blink...

I feel that of those I hate,
I cry the words of their fate,
I see the world in which they lie,
the somber meaning of their cry,
I hear the wind that cuts beneath their feet,
I tremble as they accept defeat.

A love has to die
For another to be born
One heart has to break
To heal another one
There’s no such thing
As pure
There’s beauty in the odium
There’s odium in the beauty
Where resilience ain’t a cure
But a fundamental duty
- a flower has to wither to make space for others to bloom

I didn't feel like writing today.
I was afraid I'd say the unsaid.
I dont wanna face the truth,
I dont wanna give up on us.
Why cant you come back to me,
And be the way it's supposed to be?
But alas I'm a poet. I must write.

In time, perhaps
Like the wall in the painting
Faded,
Far from the window,
And the shine
On the pearl
In your ear remained,
"I"
Am colored still
With your

A grain of sand in the desert of my life,
my mind stores you in dunes,
in overwhelming abundance.

I create winds, sandstorms, tornadoes
to shape you,
to move you,
still you settle the same,
with mathematical precision.

Governed by physical law,
governed by bleeding and raw,
governed,
I want you more,

I feel you slip from my grasp ,
shifting the sands of my mind,

I wait for a deluge, a torrent,
a hope to bring new life,
a new form,
an awakening...

a forgotten seed,
and
the
rain
would
find
you.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

There’s a little place
In the back of my head
It’s what I tend to embrace
When I’m lying in bed

I pretend I’m not lonely
I pretend I’m not scared
It’s where my testimony
Is one that I could share.

But in the morning when
The light shines through
It strips me, reveals my sin
And shows me the truth.

I am a tiger and a fawn.
The she-wolf that screams to the moon at dusk
And the meadowlark that whistles to the sun at dawn.
I am darkness and I am light
Flipping my tangled hair to the cascading stars at night
Lifting my hands in prayer, releasing the morning birds to flight.
And I will protect them,
These birds of freedom.
I will carve their songs
Deeply into my heart
And set aside a space
Where the cruelty of this world
Cannot, ever, tear them apart.
So laugh my little children,
And sing your songs of glory,
You are safe
You are heard
And you are worthy.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

Why do we naturally close our eyes
When we kiss
It’s as if it’s a reflex built in our genetic code
Eliminate one sense
Sight
And all of the others must heighten
Touch
Taste
Smell
Hearing
In order to compensate for the loss of one
So when we kiss
We want to taste the other
We want to feel the other
We want to hear the other
More deeply
More closely
So
Close your eyes
My dear

I plant myself in equations where my presence isn’t wanted.

Where do they all go
the unspoken words
Do they melt, into nothingness
burning in the backs of our throats
Or delve into the blue deepness of our thoughts
a sunken treasure
I think they hitch rides
with the hopeless
and the heartbroken
Sitting heavy on shoulders

And I'm walking with the weight of the world
and I'm walking with the weight of the world

you lived

she begs for war

her brain is a minefield
