I pray you become strong
But never hard
I pray you know joy
But also sadness
I pray you always speak the truth
But also know when to bite your tongue
I pray you know how to lose
But also that you win
I pray you have a wild soul
But also stay grounded
Finally I pray you know you are loved
Even through the storms
To my future daughter

Why is that always the question?
I'll never understand why people see it like that,
Why would it matter whats inside the cup?
I guess everyone is supposed to judge whats on the inside,
instead of out,
Or at least thats what everyone says to do,
But I see it differently,
So when people ask me "is the cup half empty, or half full?"
Isn't it just a cup?

there is a river in everyone
some flow fast and some flow slowly
some are dry some are flooded
but no matter what it will leave a path
even though someone may lose their way
they have a river to remind them of where to be
don't try to contaminate someone's river

when you grow up, you will realize no one cares but you

when you grow up, you will read this and saying, "i'm so good at predicted."

sweet little dreams
occur in my sleep
her longing gaze
leaves me weightless and free
i fall into a silent trance
by the sound of her familiar voice
deeper and deeper i go
to a place unlike any other
...
a place where we live as one
breathe as one
love as one
...
it's a place i never want to leave
i want to explore together
with her as my guide
and i as her companion
i fall deeper and deeper
into the beautiful world of her
she is my sweet little dream.
a poem for her

rain
rain

I close my eyes

Rain
Rain
Rain

Where do the birds fly

When the sun hides behind
The iridescent
Little drops
That hide in puddles all around
Let it break you
Cut your fingertips
On the shards
Let it change you
Find new edges
And shapes in the glass
Let it remake you
Reflect the damage back
With bloodied mirror fragments
Leave your memory
Deep in their marrow
Haunt the corners of their sight

Me
As path
and walk
and feet
brought me
up on the rocks
I followed

and on my way
encountered
horse

and sheep

and seagulls
and-

a pheasant

and the dog

It's odd
to feel you
on the way

It hurts
to be
so utterly connected

And as I said
Now, every time we stray
from our path
they'll gently
push us back
always with open eyes
and open hearts
Thank  You :)

I knew my heart was in danger
But I didn’t care
I knew I couldn’t change her
I was prepared
But what she made me feel
Was so unreal
Every heartbreak was worth it
And in the end
My heart’s still broken

Her affection
Ill always want more
She’s my addiction
That I crave for
Why’d I let her in?
I knew I was playing with fire
But what she had to offer
Was my desire

I’m not stupid
I can read her actions
She tells me she loves me
Like a mutual attraction
Making me feel like a queen
But I know it’s part of her routine
She played me like a game
And I let her
I’m practically a beggar
To make me feel better
Even though I know
She doesn’t feel the same

Like a magical night
when everything goes right

And he gets what you mean
you say "This is the Joint!"

When he laughs cuz you're funny
and your jokes are on point

When he asks for your number
and you give it out wrong

When the movement is Music
and you both know the song

When you dare not to care
so you're free to be you

Now he's feeling your vibe
and you're feeling it too

It's a night to remember
but never repeat

Cuz it was what it was
In that hot summer heat

He so hate the Earth that he’ll
coal fire bake molecules until the
air can’t move, the animals can’t breathe.
Jesus, mankind is just a tease
of sunlight refracting God into flight and drive and Children’s faces.
In between this ocean blood twitches, rages.

It's beyond my lungs
My veins & my flaws
It's beyond it all

And it hurts because it's never
Been discovered
It's shiny and new
Full of nature and bloom
My pain lives alone
Beyond my ability to explain

Friendship is unpredictable, unconstrained
as the unexpected gust of wind that
sweeps across our lives.
When stars twinkle and snowflakes flower,
I look back through the years and see us
as we were, young children, smiling and eager,
ready to challenge the world always laughing.
Even our brown bag, lunches tasted better
when we shared sandwiches together.
You had the silliest ideas,
and I went along with all of them. Remember when
we put perfume on our tongues to make our breath
smell good, and you put white nail polish on your teeth
because you wanted them to be movie star perfect.
How frivolously we cast each other aside
when men entered our lives. We made luncheon dates,
dismissive little gestures, yet something was gone, or
exiled in lame excuses. Until one magic day,
we found one another once again and
learned we were both young widows.
How we challenged each other's minds and hearts and faith,
dancing like children in the wind. Was it chance that
brought us back together, and let us see inside the other's hearts?
I didn't know how soon you'd be taken from me, again,
this time on the wings of angels, nor did I dream of
the pain of loss I'd feel inside.
Now the cat and I sit on the window ledge,
watching two little girls playing, one yours, one mine.
They look just the way we did, when first we met.
and somewhere in my mind I hear " Heart and Soul"
played on the piano, and remember how patient
you were when you taught me my part,
and I see again the brightness of your smile
when I finally played it right.
I'll never forget home economics, and those **** yellow skirts
we had to make. My skirt's seams were pulled and puckered
and it looked more like a curtain valance than something
I'd wear. I was sure I was going to flunk, and we couldn't
stop laughing hysterically when I modeled it for you.
But you picked out the thread, and helped me redo
those puckered, crooked seams, and it didn't
turn out too bad. I promised I'd pay you back someday,
and you held me to that promise. Little did I know
how hard it was going to be, my precious friend,
to watch you suffer and hold your hand
as you breathed your last breath here on earth.
Today you hovered close to my shoulder, and tweaked
my muse, so I wrote this poem for you,
my dear friend Rosalie.  I chuckle thinking of you with a
halo.   May the Lord hold us all in his hands until we meet again
friendships such as ours don't end with death.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

I've been dreaming about a girl
With silver hair and icy eyes,
With pink lips and good vibes,
With the softest smile and skinny thighs...
She was the sun ray that kissed your face
After the cruel winter haze.
She was the gracious lioness,
Almost like a royal Highness.

But she was just a con
Because, c'mon ,
She told me she loved me,
That she'll never leave me
And then I woke up and she was gone
And I was left alone from dusk 'till dawn.
When you think you just found your true Happiness, then Life waltzes in and gives you a good slap.

The tune hums along in G
And the lights buzz softly

I am being taken somewhere
Someplace beneath it all
Underroot, I am
Descending
So deep
The dreary sun
And her arms
Cannot reach
Lower
Than those commonplace people
And all their happenings

It is cold here
Below the surface
And the door appears, open
As I
Recede

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

In case no one gets it,
i collect my excerpts
better
than i spell my prayer.
Spills my personal feelings
and trouble,
longer than i bow
on my knees.

i memorize every shame
and quote it
into a piece of paper,
the same stroke
they did to break
my bones.
Marks down
every of their tone
when i got yelled at,
being degraded.

In case no one gets it,
i use my fingertips to fight.
Being sure of my words,
but never myself.

They can take off my guts,
break down my sanity
into pieces of insecurity.
Yet i’m here to remain bold
until the last spill of ink,
and my pen
can no longer stand.
the battle is in my head
