i'm sentenced to house arrest
by my own fear
Poetry that animates
   Your own creations

Poetry that stirs up
   Your own recipes

Poetry in motion
   Taking you somewhere free

Poetry, a passing stare
Made you do a double glare

Poetry in locomotion
That made you map out crazy

Agitates, oscillates, fluctuates
Darkness, light or in the shadows

Tempestuous because you like
    The moody and absurd words

Poetry, the outlet of imagination
For things that need to be written
Poetry needs no reasons

As I sit still
Like the crypt
Back in ‘06
I feel dead
Foggy mind fills
I have to follow the script

Before I face the crucifix
Afore this feeling of dread
Takes over me
This blue velvet couch
Whereupon my devils sit
Next to you, Within me slouch
and I listen to my Devils speak

My mind as quiet as your tomb
screaming and shouting
the cries of stories untold
being drowned out

i threw away my bed, first.
and then, i threw away the clocks.

and i memorized seven (7) spoken word poems
and stole those words to use in the worst situations

like at the grocery store, when someone says,
"hey, can you reach that?"
and i say,
"my ice cubes are the size of my teeth."

don't read this.
The drizzling of water,
The swishing of the trees,
The sun too shy to come out that it hid behind the clouds,
The smell of moist sand,
Yay it's RAINING.
We had our time together
But the clock had stopped ticking
I thought I could pull myself through
Keeping what we always had
But the pain pushed me away from you
Now I may never go back
Kyra Embers
Gradients of grey,
me in dismay.
Another random day
my heart had a harder day.

Tinges of teal
You keep walking over me.
After all I mean nothing,
mere fallen leaves.

Showers of scarlet,
Scar my soul.
Was fear, a stupid confession,
Or you being the reason?

Blinding black nights,
engulfing bright lights.
Wish I could say,
a polite good bye.
Here's my poem. @sreeyasndhilkumar there you go. Satisfied now?

Universal dis involvement
I'f that's the polished term
I could solve the problem
Of my self involvement
But you'd all crawl like worms
I make modesty a job.
But im at a loss
For all your worth...
The opposite of perfect
But we've evolved from
Common dirt...
You always rock my world
Like a concert played in cello
Accapello silhoute.
A shadow of the longest yard
Walking with bert Reynolds..
Stage is so exquisite.
Like a wonder weapon upgrade...
And I say common sense
Is more adequate than dollars
In a mud grave
Heaven is not judgrment
Its not luxury deluxe made.
Its lust for simple things
While giving all your love way....
Like a long awaited journey
Pack your bags
Its going to be a fun day...
Shaving points off of a Monday...
Like my razor blade
Won't be doing someday
I’ve not seen her
for a long time now.
Each day above my dreams
I see us hand in hand.
Memories of painful leavings.
If it feels like this now,
What did it feel like then?
I’m glad my now don’t know.
How difficult it can be to write poetry
When your mind is so numb

You we're my sunshine
But then I remembered that the sun doesn't just shine for one person.
Sit and have some tea with me
Enjoy the beauty
Of the scenery
The world has to offer
For what is beautiful isn't for life
And what is breathtaking will breath its last

I have goals

I once turned my ex-wife off of eggs
When I informed her she was eating
"Chicken periods",
I was so proud.
If my fate is to love you
From a distance
Then I'll burn for you
Like a star in your night sky
Bright, steady, reliable
Until the end of time.

Healing leaves are now disrobed branches
on the edge of this wilderness.
Many tall Douglas Fir stand sentinel
over 100 foot tall amazing grace — the fleeting leaves
expose the beauty of the moss clad scaffolds
adorned with a lime-grey lichen lace
Nature is my refuge — solid ground to stand
in this harmony and peacefulness.

Heaven rained on me,
I breathed in the petrichor,
Bathed in the downpour.
I have sinned,
So destroy me,
With your rain.
my heart beats faster when i see your name
i wonder if yours does the same
for you i'd stay up all night
you make everything feel right
every second with you, i want to spend
but to you, i'm just a friend
Trusted on sight
Lost in words

I wonder what colors he would use for me?

Like an expensive painting in a museum
You intrigued me,
Stopped me dead in my tracks

Such intelligence wrapped in delicacy
Careful words change to careless laughter
You are the most astonishing piece

Nervous fiddling
Strangers once maybe

I could feel your soul reaching
Digging deep for something unknown to you
Let me help,
I have a light

Eccentric and living golden
In a land of mountains and wind

My light stayed lit
As I said nothing
You worked, you searched
You paused and looked up

By accident, our eyes met
And I've been wondering ever since

What colors would he use for me?

From being the one to becoming none
I felt the likes love ,rage ,anger
I would never be able to comprehend even
if i pen a million more poems.
Maybe i would have to find a way to convince myself that i dont have the need to comprehend that but once again what is the point of having the capacity to remember if you never wanna live through it again.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

Sharp knife cut's through
before my eye's
as anger, pain, and sadness
blinds my mind
as I unveil the thin flesh covering my eyes
as crimson blood flows
through my wrist
as my body collapsed
hitting the cold hard floor
with a confused look
thinking why I,m longing for air
and by the time I realized I lost too much of it,
its too late

There’s a universe inside of you,
But I’m just a little star.
Once my light is out,
There'll be none of me.
You gaze, admired it, then you close your eyes to sleep. Only to wake for the Sun.

that controlled the raging seas,
they spoke volumes, so loud,

the undulating structure of the sea, woman

~for Megan Sherman~

you message me a brief, sweet like of
my poem's structure,  describing it as
"undulating like the sea."

you deserve much more that I can now provide,
the hour late, yet your succinct observation
engages my retinas deeper into oceans of imagination.

but told to "turn off the light,",
a standard life intrusion,
so for once in my life,
perhaps brevity, may here gain the upper hand.

but probably not.
no, this poem does not undulate.

I live by the sea, and its habits, guises and habitués,
her stockings and high heels, and come hither looks,
well known to me. Ha! most nights it even feeds me.

as I compose, she hides quiet, fifty yards away, no more,
causing no trouble tonight, yet seen it don and unmask
a schizophrenia of multiple personalities most terrible
in minutes as short as seconds.

rage and frothy spit, begging she be allowed to
swallow whole men and ship, harboring monsters,
that populate the nightmares of one called Jonah me.

her murdering riptides and lunar tricks
that are mathematically calculable and therefore predictable,
even then, wise man still most helpless charmed by
the fake news of the surficial, gentile, ladylike, curtsying, cutesy lapping, waving oh hello waves,
drown us with the greatest of ease,
which is what I think you mean when you say
the sea **** be undulating, performing its best and finest trickery.

yes, the sea is a women and its fluidity, nonpareil.

Have you ever seen a woman undulate?
see my notes below;

when the sea or a woman undulate,
things too oft die.

this poem is unstructured, its heartbeat,
arrhythmic, and now, well, lady past midnight,
indeed, unhappy, unsure of the why of this poem,
its purpose undefined but you said:

causing the sovereignty of my un
to see a ballerina, her arms, moving unnaturally,
laying herself down to die

did I forget to mention
this poem was born on the ferry crossing the sea,
required to reach the island keep where
the home that I now lay prone in bed now writing
almost, soon enough,
"the end,"
having read your words, felt a poem instant birthing,
as the bow cut thru calm, undulating waves
while a storm in my eyes, the rancor of experience screamed,
my aminotic fluids joining the waters beneath my feet,
your words caused

and a ballerina waving arms swept me low,
asking, imploring,
watch me undulate unto death

and better now I understand the why of you,
for we both ****** addicts,
enslaved by the undulating
arms of our muses, and this then,
the nature of our
shared genius

so be wary of the sea, and writing, the ****** of poetry addiction,
given half a chance,
you will quite happily drown
when they both beckon,
come hither.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

she is only the moon

i finally let you go
she was always herself, now i see her beauty
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
My mother once told me that
Some people will never be yours
no matter how hard you try

I finally understood what she meant
When you told me to get lost
After confessing my love for you.
