Semi-literate Poet
Do you think a girl could love a boy who writes for her a million poems?  That's what I plan to do.
You were ruff with my heart
And ruff on my neck
Then I got ruff with my risk
R.I.P little innocent
- pettyvandalism
My life is in shambles.
As destitute as that essay...
For English. This sounds wrong...
3 things:
1, camel notation is a way to name variables in computer coding
2, look closely at the haiku, i messed something up on purpose.
3, I may fancy myself as a poet (idk if i can call myself one) but ******* i am horrible at writing essays.
I can’t form my words
into sentences,
So try to write a song
but forgive me if it’s off key,
I’m not that talented.
Ella Black
i realize the most powerful thing
that’s ever walked this earth

lives inside me
controls me

it is my purpose
to bestow upon us

this very thing

and yet it is
the one thing

kept from me my whole life

- the truth
We are all broken here
A little misunderstood

We are mighty strong
We persevere in the dark

Bring on the raging storms
The wind and the rain
We are built from many tears
We are survivors of the pain

We strive for the lighter path
We always need the truth
We will never be cruel
For we know abuse

We were the innocent
The gullible and naïve
To believe at one time
We could be tattered hearts
Sewn upon each sleeve

Now we will amaze
As we stand tall on the ground
Because we have scars
It makes us
Beautiful and Profound
get me out of my mind
this insanity is unbearable
snap out of it, they say
that's debatable
it keeps coming back
consuming me
my mind is
i contacted a therapist finally so yay
Today my friend told me
I was acting strange
I gave her the
of a sugar high
But really,
I was just being
Plunging to the ground
I close my eyes, giving up
This is where it ends
Wake and bake, feel the pain
Shake and puke, rotten grain
Into the night.

Step in.
And see what awaits;
What lurks in the dark.

The sun is going down,
The light would soon be out.

For I shall not;
Wait, all night long.

i want to be excited but i have
sixty days of skeletons in my
closets to keep me up at night
and i wanna say your company
will fight the dark but then
you'd have to be my light
a poem i found digging through my old blog that spanned over six years of my life. i think this one is from sometime in 2015, maybe april?

More than ever
Biggest ever
These milestones I could never have accomplished alone.
I know now
What it's like
Been waiting all my life
It's on me.
honey tumbled from her lips
her kisses dusted with powdered sugar
even the stars
at the softest of her silken sighs
i laugh at the irony
that love broke my heart.
i swear i love you more than she does.

Last night you made a tentative wish
Upon a shooting star I caught for you
You closed your eyes and I
Saw sorrow shimmering in your face
Later, when we softly talked,
our voices intermingling
With the sound of falling orbs,
You told me that your wish
made you sad
Because it was not even yours to make
And you don't believe
in miracles anyway.
A poet is no more than a person
A mother
A daughter
A lover
Someone needing release
Or someone needing to recover

It’s the art they create when that ball of ink or stick of led dances on the canvas they so perfectly prepared.
And when the end result and their purpose become perfectly paired.

Anxious and worried I today feel;

A little depressed too, as if slumping down-hill.

To do my daily writing just now, a little reluctant I feel;

Destiny sometimes, us does severely grill;

Specially when a dear one is suddenly ill;

Behaving sometimes like a shark about to ****.

When our own, besides us are not ; sad we feel.

Help me O Ahura, to recuperate; grant me a strong will.

Not to feed
bad vibes
but onto
that free flowing movement
the waves
Remember them?

The waves carry you everywhere
You just need
to let 'em
But it's not easy, I agree

Not to die
Not to fight
Not to obsess
To trust
-hardest stuff-
To think well
and not too much anyway
To live
it's art
you need nothing else
if you get it
you need no further

To drown yourself
in the sound and the love
in your million doubts
hold them close
do not let them eat you up

To drown yourself
in waters only giving access
to other realms

if my mind
was the universe
thoughts of you
would be the
stars that fill it
beyond measure

Lexington Warner
not the flower but
the bee kissing
rosebuds, making
living things

no sunrise on
mountains but
the sun
herself, every
flame burning fierce
sploding gainst
the sky

not an ocean but
a stream softly
and rescuing
the lonely
the lost

not forever
but tragically
and every
you are here
i will be
what i am -
the pollen,
the planets,
the wanderer,
the poet -

I stumbled upon you
Like a child
that finds a pretty stone

Bewildered by your presence
I sat and admired
Counting your cracks
Caressing what makes you glitter

You stood infront of me
Bold and beautiful
Like nothing I'd ever seen

And as you gave me your attention
I think I misconstrued your intentions

I wanted to put you in my pocket
But you said no

So there you sit
Perfectly unpolished
A love

I can only visit
I hate no matter how far away I go,
A part of me always wonders
Where you went.
Be the moon
and inspire people
even when you're far from full
I tore down these walls for you.
Now I have some rebuilding to do.
Old and broken stone and brick.
They don't fit together like they used to.
i thought i could let you go,
yet you pour out of me
each time i pick up this pen.
i guess i just wanted
to love you
a little

I miss you like the December earth
Misses the sunlit rays on a cloudy day
Cold for you I yearn each dawn
And churn and burn as the aching Pacific waves
A crashing hope upon wishes bent
At 11:12 my world set straight
And all that a man can do is wish
That this will be the fated day
You walk into my life
      And stay
A storybook demands this stop. As Hollywood would guide me down the inevitable plot. But as for me and my house, I wait and burn for a deeper love.

Ick, screens are so shallow. LOL.
She takes the stand
With the voice of millions on her back
And speaks the fact that we all know,
far too well to be true -
                                           Me too.

She is heard but not believed,
She is heard with faith deceived .

When will it be enough -
Is one in six not enough ?
Is one sister, one friend
still - not enough?

one colleague, one mother, one wife, one lover -
one teacher, one doctor, one preacher, one author -
one husband, one son, one brother.
Which one will it take, to stop
the non-consensual clock
and make us realise that -

Time. Is. Up.
I'm jealous of the rain
It gets close to you
Closer than I ever will
It touches your skin
It combs your hair
It comes when you're sad
It stays when you're happy
I love you but you don't love me
So I say
I'm jealous of the rain
Sorry I haven't written anything as of late. I have been really busy with school. I really hope you enjoy.
Edit: thanks for the comments the original song is Jealous by Labirinth
Wala ba akong karapatan mapagod?

At kahit minsan sana'y
Maramdaman ko ulit
Ang tunay na kapayapaan
Close your eyes
Count to ten
Take a breath
Find a pen
Write it out
Let it loose
Don't get lost
In these woods
For one day
You might get stuck
Way too far
In the muck
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
“You’re not good enough”
Is the one sentence you should
Never tell yourself.
Hi. I’ve been struggling with this my whole life. It’s like I’ll never be able to convince myself. I feel like my poetry is at a decline. I feel as if nothing I write is good. I couldn’t tell you the amount of “drafts” &  private poems I have on here just because I’m afraid.
Afraid of ridicule.
Afraid of hating myself more.
Afraid of everything.
It's never going to be okay
But I can sit with you until you could accept that.
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Exclamation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!
Traveler Tim
No matter who you are
You have my deepest respect
I love you all!!

Welcome aboard newbies!!!

Who said Exclamation marks were merely laughing at your own joke?!

Actually my grand daughter gave me this poem!
Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.
Ariana Bagley
I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

It's a little late for
A smile
It's a little late for
A mile

You promised
Maybe I did
That the sun
Would always shine
Both of our eyes

You're a tad quick
With your pick
You're a bit knicked
With your tick

But I love you
Just the same
There's no reason
I wouldn't have came

Walk toward a dead poet
Expose of a soulless

One day

They'll have a soul

They believe

Is not worth
