Depression
Being so tired you can't get up.
You can't drag yourself out of bed.
Anxiety
Being so wound up you can't sleep.
You can't sit still without feeling like
Your skin will crawl off.
It's a weird feeling having both at once.
Like you can't move,
But under your skin in vibrating.

I believe in Magic.
Not the dream come true kind but the gathering
I know it’s just some stupid card game
But when you don’t know how to make friends
Maybe a little magic will help.
Plus Magic is all I have left of you

People die

       Feelings die
              and people change

                    but from the start,
                                              in between,
                                                           and in the end....
                                                                                                  life always,
                                                                                          always goes on..
and so do you.

Whenever we get our own
Hands will shake
untethered and all the way
friction for me and my god
hoping for more than that

I can only pour so much
Of myself into you
You say I'm half empty
I say I'm half full

It's hard to stay gentle
When you've been so cruel
I say I'm in love
You say I'm a fool

I wish I had art on tap
Bang a rusty vein and watch it pour
Yes, I wish I had constant flow
Originality staining the bedroom floor
But when I search with thirsty mouth
Coaxing this writer's block gently out
I find I don't gush art anymore.
At what point do i stop calling myself a creative and start joking about being a wannabe? I stop more than a bus full of weak-bladdered, car-sick children on a school trip.

When I think of you
I think of feeling your skin pressed firmly against me
I tease your lips with the promise of a kiss as I close my eyes in the silence surrounding us
We are intimately close and I need this feeling so bad
But I know it'll never happen because it already did and you're dead to me
Rest in pieces
I pretend
she
is sleeping
here
beside me
when
I lie
awake at
night.

"When am I?"
Calls a young man's voice.
"Once, I could freeze time.
Once, I could read every detail."

"When am I?"
Calls the old man's voice.
"I've lived a full life,
but I know not how long that is."

"When am I?"
Whispers the westbound wind.
"The sun rises faster every morning
and night only falls when I blink."

"When am I?"
Asks no one at all.
Silently studying history
whilst looking for riddles undiscovered.

i love to hear the birds in the early morn
with there morning chorus bringing in the dawn
in perfect harmony every note in tune
singing loud and clear as they begin to croon

bringing in the day as the sun begins to rise

then when tomorrow comes they sing once more
then i will lay and listen like just the day before

do you ever feel nostalgic
when the wind blows,
and you know you've felt
that same wind before,
only you were looking outside
from the living room window,
the sun was hanging beneath the clouds,
so they were dark, dark grey,
and the sky was blue.
but not like normal...
it was the blue that you
can feel in your stomach,
catching you off guard,
and at that moment
I felt disgusted, impatiently
waiting for it to go away
But as I feel this wind now,
I crave to see that sky again

The world was bare,
Nothing happened,
And naught evolved,
Things were so stiff.

There was no light.
No darkness, either.
Forms were all shapeless.
Time stood still.

Then, all at once,
The matter sparkled,
Ideas thrived,
High spirits soared.

Built were the bodies,
Art was artful,
Design exquisite,
Visions bold.

As of today...
What have we gotten?
Where are the wit,
The bloom, the charm?

Haven’t we all
But long forgotten
To say our farewells to arms?

We cannot know
What’s drawing near.
We cannot see
Too far ahead.

But shall we swear –
So loud and clear –
To cherish love,
Both born and bred?

Tend to me
Like a thirsty garden once forgotten
Sing to me
Like a crying infant, pure and innocent
Hug me
Like an old friend years after
Look at me
Like an abstract painting, more complex with each glance
Touch me
Like the the cold steel strings of your guitar
Love me
Like you did before
I poem I wrote early last year while thinking about with my ongoing need for co-dependence

It’s the kind of sadness where your rib cage
Contorts
And twists and
Snaps.

Depression doesn’t float through my veins
It crawls through my bones, with dagger hands
And winding movements.

I cannot breathe.

And yet there was nothing taken from me.
But then again you took everything all at once the moment you looked in my eyes, covered my mouth and forced me down.

I don’t know why your smell still lingers in my every thought.

I’m not scared anymore.

Don’t get carried away
the scientists say
If you savor your cinnamon-flavored tea
and drink it moderately
you’ll live long enough
to reflect on your life
and you may outlive
your husband or wife

Under the cover of moderation
consequence causation
they say will be controlled
so that we slowly grow old
guarding our greenness
as long as we can
But death will destroy
each woman and man

Come what may
the plane will crash one day
We fall from a height
and day becomes night
We jog and we cycle
off to our coffin
so super-fit
we jump into it

I see you've found my face.
You may think that I am fine.
But never will I truly be,
Until the stars align.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

Do you need me?
Or do you need someone?
There is a difference...
In storms and rain,
I'll be there to share your pain.
Years after years,
I'll be there to share your tears.

In your grief and sorrow,
I'll take you to a happy tomorrow.
So, smile and forget all the blues,
Cause, when I'm there you will be amused.

A shadow do I see
No figure Within
A shadow so still
Yet there is a voice

Follow
See
Hear
Come to us

It speaks
It repeats

We do not understand
Yet we are drawn to do as it asks
We follow the Shadow The Voice

Before us a new place
A place unheard-of
A place never spoken

We walk through the store that seems invisible to all but us
We find ourselves in a world confounded

This place a mystery
Yet we enjoy
A fictional world come to life

A fantasy now reality
