if noise had a colour
then what shade

In this time of nationwide uncertainty
violence, dissent

with our voices joining the people screaming for change
as we are threatened to be silenced

I stop myself  throughout the day
always asking Him to always protect you
always asking Him to keep you safe.

Strings of memories dangle before my eyes
What a strange sight
What a tangled mess
I don’t get it
What does it mean
I’m trying to see past them
I’m trying to move ahead
Get out of my way
Get out of my brain

[found poem by unknown poet and not my words]

Brown eyes are boring
I remember you saying…

There’s a special kind of beauty
in falling in love with someone
who has brown eyes.

Ever seen brown eyes
In the sun?
The colour brown,
becomes irrelevant
& is just a word…

They melt into rays
of amber gold,
circling an eclipse.
There is nothing boring
about brown eyes.

Even as the day grows old,
they create a sunset
of their own.

You know that sunset.
It’s the one
I fell in love with…

I found this poem so beautiful. Brown eyes are my wonder. If this belongs to you and you want me to take it down, I will. They are not my words, they just spoke to me so much.

When a neck is crushed by someone's knee
He may not be able to breathe
He may even die

It's not always a matter between two
It’s a matter of Justice and Injustice
The Injustice crushes the neck of justice

Crooks say Blacks and Whites always fight
But they are not at all right
It’s a myth created by the haters

Haters injects racism, casteism, religionism
In the breath, mind and blood of everyone
But not everyone are that much fools

When haters are supported by the throne
Then the peoples who are not the fools
They shake the throne with much force

They convey the message in a nice way
They have the power to invert the throne
They have the power to break the throne

Because Blacks and Whites never fight
They recognize each others right
And always support what is right
Will You Support?? Are you ready to support??

Should've done this
Or could've done that
Somethings didn't happen
Turn out accordingly
Been frustrated with things
No one is helping
Help yourself to be more
Stuck with less
Making the most of things
More downs than ups
Always shutting up to keep the peace
But enraged deep inside
No where to run or hide
Tried to vent told what to do
Said nothing not interested to open up
Hurting inside stress all time high

For almost 2 days, now, I have been wondering what has been going on.

I can't upvote and comment on poems, and most poems that I see posted have no view counts.

By now one would have hoped that the fallen would gotten back on their feet.

I just wish there was a voice out there, somewhere, instead of speculating.

Unexpected love
A precious beginning
First letter in the alphabet
First in counting

2-year relationship
Secret battle for two
Limited memories
"I Love you, I love you too.

Hidden celebration
Secret smiles
Invisible devotion

Idole de ma vie,
Mon tourment, mon plaisir,
Dis-moi si ton envie
S'accorde à mon désir ?
Comme je t'aime en mes beaux jours,
Je veux t'aimer toujours.

Donne-moi l'espérance ;
Je te l'offre en retour.
Apprends-moi la constance ;
Je t'apprendrai l'amour.
Comme je t'aime en mes beaux jours,
Je veux t'aimer toujours.

Sois d'un cœur qui t'adore
L'unique souvenir ;

It's time for a name
Not to be just another 'name'

To anyone who lost a life
You didn't die in vain

Colour doesn't matter
Inside we're all the same

It's time to stop the suffering
It's time to stop the pain
I stopped writing

For awhile.

Because I found that when I write
It’s so real.
It’s like hearing back my own words from the lips of someone wiser

Not from a broken child,
But from a bitter miser.
I am awake always
Painfully aware. I can’t sleep and I can’t quiet the noise in my head.

upon each other

           of course I do.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

Crushes

Heh, I know why they are called that

Because they crush you,

But it can be in two ways.

One a great way,

Where you are crushed with emotions.

From the other party returning the feelings.

Then the other way,

Where your heart is crushed.

Whether it's from being denied,

Or from the distance between you.

I hope this doesn't crush me

This used to be about you

I wiped it all away

Like the rain from a windshield

Your poem, my dismay

And yet with it still gone

And all the memory cleared

You will haunt this poem now

Exactly as I feared
This used to be very different

I have kissed boys

Girls

People in between

But lately I have been kissing bottles

Their lips are colder than yours

But slowly I have realized that the pounding headache when I wake is less hurtful than the shattering in my chest

Yet as these toxins rush through my veins

I can't help but miss the tracing of your fingers along my skin

Miss the numbness of the world when you lie with me

But when I wake I remember that a headache is treated with an aspirin

While heartache

Well if you have a cure for Heartache let me know

I’m so sick of feeling like it’s never going to stop. It needs to stop. I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

Today is the day and the route and the life!
For there is no better when than now.
Today is the way of the when's we've made
Or cunningly allowed.
Choice is the wheel we turn upon turn,
Upon these racing seas
And across the wilds of wide flung lives
And each breath of eternity.

I crossed the line
That meant to keep the lines inside

like reinforced steel
I bridged my heart to hers and welded myself to her soul

like the sun
I filled myself with light to cover her darkness

I shielded her from the harsh world underneath the covers

like magnets
I orbited her aura until we inevitably collided

like a seed
I felt myself growing up from her

I could tell she felt nothing.

I just want it to end.

The hopelessness, the fear,
the constant critic in my head:
I've lived with them all for too long.

All I've ever known is this war, this endless battle.
There's nothing wrong with wanting it to end.
To wish that it didn't is cruel.

But why can't the best solution be the simplest?
Why do I have to keep fighting?

At times it's deafening,
and I'm so exhausted.

Why can't I just lay down in no man's land
and let this battle fall silent around me?

Why can't that be the end?

Because... I'll never know what's possible.
