She spoke
To the wall that shouldn't be there
She spoke
To challengers of her dare
Dreams, nerves and notions
Will kindle emotions
But the voice can put change in the air
i wish i could cut my head open
to fix these broken things
***** this damaged skull
cut off these toxic strings
to fix the broken mess i am
to make myself believe i can
Th-e-ink Well
I still want the little cottage:
In the woods, in the mountains;
Someplace quiet that smells like rain.
Cold enough to require all of my sweaters
And a warm kettle and the soft crackle of wood;

Nothing’s changed, but I’d want you to be there too
August burned quickly, incipient nostalgia
prematurely vanished, mellow and gentle
sea stone on the tiled table, cedar plank
with fish, sunset through the eye-slit window

thigh high in life and riding wherever life
takes me like a hopeless romantic
shout out to ang for lighting literally every poem of mine up
Your promises are made to be broken.
Your words, are spoken to be taken back.
How can I trust one with no inner emotion?

The more we learn
the less we do know
that's the way we grow
An old tweet from my Twitter handle @shortverse
David Irvin
Time within
each beat of your heart
a world exists
it’s hard to explain

For the doorway
is through your love
heaven is that peace

For love is our connection
to reach our loved ones,
perhaps you already know
and feel them close

That voice speaks wonders
Perhaps a song

know one thing
our spirit lives on
what are these mixed emotions
trapped inside of me
anything sets me off like a ticking
bomb I can’t stand it I want to self
destruct, inflict harm on myself
sometimes to others, it’s driving
me crazy it’s a feeling that’s eating at my skin
as if it wants to escape but it just won’t
Patches of Thought

loneliness is real
don't doubt it for a moment
it can make you motionless
you can't get out of your own head
everything is frozen in time
time is your enemy
an emptiness you can't fill

But, it can be filled

Wipe your eyes
tomorrow you'll
see the world differently

This is just for those who are seemingly lost in their loneliness.  May you find your way out of it. God Bless
Find hope through God
we watched the walls burn down. i watched as the fire died in your eyes as our world came down around us. you watched as i fell deeper into the darkness. i was your world, and you were mine. both of us fell apart in each other’s arms. we burned into each other, scarring memories that we shall never forget.
Harry Rathbone
She has dark brown eyes.

Her beauty is so natural like how a bird flies.

Going to work day by day to make sure my angel smiles and never has to pay.

The wind blowing her hair as I watch it sway.

Kissing my lips and looking me in the eyes.

As she tells me she loves me and she's here to stay.
First poem ever not 100% sure how to write a poem, kinda just randomly started thinking of words in my head and this appeared
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m ****** –”
I know it sounds ******,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.
Matt Shaw
There is nothing worth singing in my head
For now,
It is confounded
Blocked by crudeness
Percolating the next flash moment
They are waning,
I have noticed
For now
But the dynamics of life are mysterious
And I am a weird guy
ode to the warm chest

so dense and important

compared to my own

bone plate of nothing
If I could've a wish right now
I would wish for a big lush tree
have a big strawberry candy
underneath it's shade think all day
"that cloud looks so like a sundae".
The moon and I wane

helplessly hoping

for a brighter day to come.

He lets me sleep,
And he lets me dream,
Heaven washes over me.
it was
an emotional fling
—we both cried.

i cried because
i couldn’t have you;

you cried because
he’s with somebody new.
if only you knew
how many nights i stay up
dreaming about you
i've carried life inside me
yet find it a mystery
life that is
an odd quiz
one with questions
and no explanation
am i to only bask
and not ask?
I'll learn your mistakes
And will if I must
Lose all that I know

If I lose myself
I'll still follow you

She is beautiful to love,
She is gorgeous to admire,
She is intelligent to impress,
She is heaven when she is around!
She is sweet to hear,
She is pure to understand,
She stops my heart beats for a while,
She is the women of my life!
This are non why I love her...
This are just her best sides!
The darker once’s always hidden inside!
I saw them too ... and let me tell you ...
Her anger is wild!
Her decisions are deadly like...
Her mind is full of mess!
Don’t tell her, she is still not in her best!
She has someone else now in her life!
She left me as she just don’t know why!
I miss her too much and I won’t lie!
I just wanted to know will she truely fall in love with me this time?
She is pretty complicated...
She will do thinks that she loves...
I just love her because she is boundless and true from within!
No matter where she goes...
I will be always waiting for her!
I love you!

divine intervention.
that's what it really was.
i kept seeing 333 everywhere and when i met you,
time stopped and i saw universes being made in your eyes.
the light that surrounded you made my jaw drop
it's been over 4 years and you're still 1, 697 miles away.
what we have is real.
more real than anything.
no matter how hard
these winds blow and shake me

storms exist to awake me
one of the first few
rhymes i ever wrote
*and still my favorite*
the fear of failure

The fear of failure//
A tumour that keeps me awake in the dead of night//
The definition of darkness that numbs my light//
In hopes of seizing purpose//
Seeing my parents filled with pride//
It's the longing fear of failure that creeps inside my mind//
i say that i love you
but what if it’s too soon
what if i don’t know
what if i don’t see u till june.

i long for you,
like a dog for a walk
like a kid for toy
you’re the key to my lock.
I wish you love for there's no better thing that I'm able to do
May the sun always shine upon you when you're feeling blue

If your eyes fall upon these words then they are meant for you
I wish you a lifetime of happiness, hoping your dreams come true

Praying that any dismal clouds of sorrow will swiftly drift on by
May peace arise from within to wipe away any tear you may cry

Flowers are tumbling from the skies, songbirds joyously fly free
Singing 'let's bridge the gap, in reality, there is no 'you' and 'me'

Thank you for your posies, more than just words upon the page

Her eyes
reflect my moon.
In her eyes
it's always full.
I look in the mirror and see
Wrinkles impressed upon me
Some from good and some for bad
I've earned each one, I'm not sad

Each wrinkle tells a story
Some glad some gory
So many ups and downs
Caused the smiles and frowns

I gaze the mirror and ask
Is this really me I take to task?
How did time fly by so fast?
My life is set in wrinkles cast

Upon my face, I wear my life
My sons and dearest wife
Some happened in the fire
Some took form because it was dire

I prefer the ones that came from smiles
A raised brow to see for miles
A ripple around my face pointed up
I wouldn’t remove a wrinkle, it's been my cup

You cannot make your presence in my life without my permission
Both can ****
        The only difference is
                      Cigarettes shatter lungs
         She shatters everything

            I remembered the first moment
my lips pressed the filter
as I lit it up breathed it all
                savored every smoke
as if we covered up painful lies
        in a container of painkillers

The same way
we used to pressed our lips
     sparked something between us
           savored every moment we had
as if our love was a rose
               in a valley of tulips
