You gave me the wings to fly
But only to clip it off while I was flying far above.

You gave me fins to swim
Only to cut it off while I was in the midst of the ocean.

You told me to fall in love but you never caught me
And now I am covered in bruises and wounds.
you’re the kerosene that keeps me aflame

yet after all this fire i always end up feeling numb
i’m so tired of being numb
Rekha Nur Alisha
His voice cracked when he spoke of her
I could sense his pain in such small sound, almost
Like a whisper
Truly, barely audible, as if his soul wasn't ready to speak of her
As if my soul wasn't prepared to hear
I shall wait for tomorrow

While I forget myself in today

Drunk as I am with anxiety

I have nowhere else to run to.
i can't help,
but still be in love with you,
even after all that you've put me through,
i find it ironic that people you love most-
are the ones who break your heart,

i tripped into you,
and then i fell for you,
but you caught me slightly,
then dropped me.
It's just the beginning, but it feels so long,
Even if I'm right, I feel so wrong.
I live in darkness even when I have light,
Why's life making my pieces crumble in this fight.
Still I don't know what's going on...?
What happened that went so wrong...?
I keep running but wish to slow down,
Why's everyone running behind the crown...?
Why not calm down, take a moment to feel the breeze,
Why not find peace and live in its ease...?
I wrote a poem for the people who've been through or going through depression, anxiety. A time when there are in-numerous why's...
I might not exactly relate but I really tried and gave my best.
Hope y'all like it.

i can feel my eyes are getting heavy
my vision's also blurry
but my head is still filled with thoughts,
and i wonder, when will these unsaid things be told?
it's hard to say what you truly feel
I’ll see the sun shine
And feel the dampness in the
Hear the morning doves
And brush the humidity through my
I’ll breathe in the
Of knowing I have a
new day
And maybe that will be
To take some of the pain

I will kiss her
even if it is the kiss of death.
My life is dead without her lips
you love me unconditionally
taught me the world is more than what we show to the ones we want to love us
I wont waste my energy trying to change your mind
or remind you that i am your universe
because that would be selfish
you are a brick wall
i can write on you and tell you what i need
but you'll never be there when i'm drowning beneath the breakers
you will stand there acting strong and tough
but you wont do a thing in the world about it
not even protect me
stefania rivoltini
drugged with thoughts
overwhelmed by contradictions
there's no peace for me
spiritually entangled
from your distance
looking for an ancestral relief
or maybe .. carnal?
When I am sad I will return to the sky.
For it is calm, cooling,
embodied with cloud- white angles reflecting the Sun’s light.
Here I am free,
no blues,
just time to breathe;
Goodnight/good morning to wherever you are in the world...
I smoked to fill my lungs
to **** the flowers that grew there
the ones you planted last december
when two hearts unite love begins to start

and the love you share is given heart to heart

there to last forever as long as you may live

and forevermore true love you will give

it comes to everyone each and every race

love it can be found in each and every place

it is there to share for each and everyone

it keeps the world together helps the world go on
between day & night,
splitting all metaphysical hairs,
she is, in awe.

... and even memories have to die.
as ants just line up
carrying leaves to the queen
five o'clock traffic
fray narte
i have sealed all the papercuts on my skin;
they have become unmarked,
untended graves
and the willows have long learned
to do their weeping in the dark;
and now,
there can never be enough tears,
never enough mourners
dressed in all the shades of black
to share all this grief
in its most abstract form.

oh, to hear the farewells,
to feel the poems,
to see the wreaths
tossed all over the place
and yet, there can never be enough flowers in the world
to hide these wrists —
all scars and lines for everyone to see
and everyone to read
as if epitaphs to a gravestone;

these wrists —
all scratches from a girl buried by mistake;
the casket, the ground
can only do so much.

such morbid thoughts from such a morbid girl;
little one, you write way too much about death
and his earthly belongings.

maybe one day he'll do the same.

Maybe lies are sweet
because that's how sugarcoated

I have never thanked you,
for the conversations.

I have never thanked you,
for the smile.

I have never thanked you,
for asking me how i'm really doing.

I have never thanked you,
for staying alive.

Thank you,
thank you.
what does it feel like to be held
not by another body
not by a set of limbs, a chest, a chin
by another soul

what does it feel like
to see truth in another pair of eyes
instead of hidden intentions
instead of absence

what does it feel like
to hear a familiar heartbeat
resounding next to your own
reaching through skin
through bone
two rhythms

what does it feel like
to write poems about
a love that exists
Curtains closed, old cups on my desk
Brightness fills my room
"Goodmorning baby"
A smile on my face, and motivation for the day comes my way
What the **** is this
Well what do you expect when you don't write for 3 months.

waiting for you to look up

But it’s ok
I’m ok

Just playing around with words here. Inspired by a nightmare I had a while ago, but it’s still haunting me.
lost my head
while searching for
my mind
so wrapped up in seeming well
insanity in vanity

You and I,
Under the moon,
Bright and glowing,
Happy for us.
I could not see the stars,
For you held them in your eyes.
Except for the racing of my heartbeats,
Then you smiled,
As if a rose had just blossomed,
The moon danced in and out of the clouds.
I held out my arms for a dance,
You came into them,
I knew I had found my life,

Oh, darling
your songs
seem to be
sad and longing

did she hurt you?
did she left you?

because it
feels like
you still
love her

The brightness
of the morning sky
pierces my eyes
birds gladly chirping
in merry exultation
a distant radio blabbers
hunkering for someone's
valuable attention...

The leaves appear to me
as lovely emeralds --
a beautiful, greenish hue
the trees sway monotonously
as if compelled
in a steady dance
absentee music:

I am aware.

I looked at your picture today...
I looked at your smile
I looked at your eyes
I looked at your beauty
Many people will look at someone to decide if they are beautiful
And many are indeed beautiful
I look at you...
And you are beautiful to me
Beauty is how you shine in my heart
And my heart feels your warmth and your beauty
You are very beautiful to me

Heaven rained on me,
I breathed in the petrichor,
Bathed in the downpour.
I have sinned,
So destroy me,
With your rain.

We were born at the same time but in different worlds.
We walked in the same world but at different times.
your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that
Coming up
Reminds me of
Waiting for the high to hit
Never enough
Never as good
As last time.
The new discovery
An addiction
To new discoveries.

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

You we're my sunshine
But then I remembered that the sun doesn't just shine for one person.
Seeing the man that was holding my hand when I was young and helpless. With the blank face. an expression that I can see from miles away. Unable to speak and weak. I have to watch you go alone. Be strong.
When I was young my mam had a stroke and it was my grandad that was holding my hand as I watched her get taken away. Today I woke up watching him getting taken away for the same reason. The expression that comes on a person face when they have a stroke haunts me and I noticed it before anyone even told me what was going on
If my fate is to love you
From a distance
Then I'll burn for you
Like a star in your night sky
Bright, steady, reliable
Until the end of time.
no truth login
those who created wind and water had many reasons,
but their first purpose was to constant enliven the human mind
with the softest message that true freedom is never bounded

nature’s song is refrained, “man, be unrestrained,”
nature’s majesty is then greatest, for men fool
themselves with lines, divisions and walls.

Earth’s best, mens too,  is best seen in its unconstrained, searching character.

this is the one, only truth.

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)
