I wish I can go back in time,
and take back everything I've done that has damage us.

I wish I never fell in love with you,
I wish I had listened to myself in the beginning.

I focused too much on the idea of you and me together,
I forgot that expectations never met reality.

I just let everything flow itself,
and maybe someday faith can bring us together.
Only if someday ever exist.
so... I am really have given up on liking this guy. He grew distance to me all of a sudden, and I wish it never happen. This was I fear.

Just as the moon pulls the ocean in on itself,
So have you caused my heart to recede into its darkest corners.
The once glittery trails of moonlight on the glassy waters
Are replaced with the dull reflection of what used to be.
And what we used to call love, we now call just a memory.

Where have we gone? Lost in the agony that life has bared at our feet.  The cold is growing as I run from you.  Silence is all that is left. Isolation is the great relief. Your love should heal my broken soul, always loving me always needing me and yet where have we gone. The door is closing, fading fading fading away.

so enthralled

so you can pull them over yourself,
on a cold day
and always remember,
Its me keeping you warm.

i’m entirely out of breathing room
i even miss your suffocation
beads of sweat are worth the wait
your warmth and inclination
to breathe a breeze on my neck
your memory record-scratches here
months and lives have passed
i’m still living in last year.
jcl. on god, you are my soulmate, and one day, i will tell you.

words are funny

things--like people.

multi meaning and

read into.

sort of like the saying:

all Cretans are liars.

though sometimes

the literal sense takes

mercy, like saying:

it's not all about you--

leave my poems out

of it.

Don't even think about getting to me
my walls are up
Don't even think about saying hi
can't hear gossip
I did, what I had to do, you know the reason
and it was you

Don't even think about crying to me
I won't listen, won't listen
Oh I got scars all over my arms
one for each day, you tore me apart
I did, what I had to do, you know the reason
and it was you

Footsteps down the hall, it was you, you
Heaviness in my chest, it was you, it was you

I did, what I had to do, you know the reason
Yeah you know all the reasons oh
And if there's something you'd like to prove
then just let me continue to blame you

Footsteps down the hall, it was you, you
Heaviness in my chest, it was you, you...

I am doing a set of poems or lines from poems nicely printed on equally nice paper stocks for etsy or other platforms and I'd like to know which poems or lines from poems might suit that. Up for a little dance down poetry lane?

some of us
never get to stop treading
and some of us
have to learn to breathe water
through the waves

and some of us
look **** good in coconuts

some people call us strong
maybe even survivors

but we just do what mermaids do
just
keep
swimming

It was your voice!

i met her in a bar down in memphis teneese
she was standing there looking straight at me
with her sparkling eyes and a smile upon her face
sent the soul in me to diffferent place

then we danced together on the bar room floor
dancing cheek to cheek my heart began to soar
with each dance we had i just loved her more
such a lovely feeling i never felt before

everything i dreamed of was dancing there with me
the girl that i wished for it was meant to be
we settled down together raised a family
with the girl i met in memphis teneesee

i wont forget that night in memphis teneesee
when  i met the girl that was meant for me
her and i together it was meant to be
that i settled down with and raised a family

I have switched off the fans, the air conditioner
covered you with your blanket
And have stared you unconditionally.

Teary eyes?
Walking; Eating ice cream.
Never stops leaving some of it on her face.
I can't stop myself.

I will hold you and then look at you.
The lights will then fade out,
and we'll then disappear into the night.
;
A friendship that will never fade
Glitters in spite of darkest shade
Like roots clasping strong together
We will grow our branches stronger

Cherish the memories we share
Taking a bath in river's bare
Lying on green grassy hill
Watching white clouds that standing still

In times I'm on the very edge
And can't control myself in rage
Solaced me with a warm blanket
Your love and care is my jacket

Our friendship, like trees clasping roots
Always go like a pair of boots
Keeping you like my treasure gold
Together till we're grey and old
This poem is dedicated to all.  It's just great to have friend/friends.
Cheers to friendship!!

rain drops fall upon her head
try push her to the ground
but she stands tall against it all
and strength and love are found

the torment and the cold
of the never ending drops
feed her very core with life
and eventually it stops

the hardships that we face
are not always as we see
sometimes they just happen
to be exactly what we need

the pedals soaking wet
stem dripping down with tears
but still the flower stood
in lieu of all her fears

then the sun came out
as the rain began to cease
and her purpose came to light
and she enjoyed a life of peace

There was a knife by the window.
There was a pair of shaking hands.
There was a letter he could barely read.
There was a silence in the room.
There was a coffee scented candle.
There was a broken music box.
There was a photo of a stranger.
There was the death of a poet.

Life happens

poetry helps
I haven’t been to the stars,
I count my blessings with you.

I haven’t been to the moon,
I see my light of love in you.

I haven’t been to the Opera.
I can hear a perfect pitch thru you.

I haven’t reached Mt Everest.
I am on top of the world with you.

I haven’t done many things.
Except my single minded devotion for you.

I dreamed of skin

as petal soft,

a fragrance gone

and lips remember.

I dreamed of skin

in jealous eyes

like water flows

across her thighs

and lips remember.

I dreamed of skin

painted in rose

desires drawn

across her bed

and lips remember-

Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.
