Hazel or green,
I can't decide what's looking back at me
and if it's full of
fear or wonder,
or something in between

Breathe,
Look at the sky,
Feel the dust settle,
Feel the wind between your fingerprints.
Life hurts,
But I'd never give up this earth,
When right now,
It is turning for me.

The town of the grateful yet,
soon to be dead,
receive one last glance of the universe.
The radiant truth stills voices
and tranquilizes breath.
Eleven fireballs illuminate the moondust sky.

The grim sapphire hills wicket the town.
Is this the way to heaven?
This is the way to the stars.
The black tree's hair is a moussed flame,
a pin-point on the absent map.
An imaginary itinerary to starry night.

The orange crescent moon sings
lullabies to a silent town,
trapped in Bardo.
As the wailing spirit of death
slurps the brilliance from the stars.

Eleven stars, eleven souls.
Soothed gratefully to death
on a starry night.

Exercise would make me happy
So why are there tears in my eyes
As I run away from my problems

I had always been
Afraid to dance.
What if
I looked silly
Or if someone watching
Joined in and performed
At a higher level.
How could I keep
Dancing after?
But now, that I
Am the last person
Remaining in the
Universe, all I can
Do is Dance, and cry.

My fangs grew overnight
And when I tried to hide my smile
It poked my lower lip
From it, a bit of blood dripped,
It tasted sweet.

I walked over arched bridges at night
The ones, that mold around the moon light,
My fangs were longing for a match
To graze your lips, your mouth to touch.
On you, to latch.

The knock woke me from my deep sleep,
I heard some kids say trick or treat,
I realized it's Halloween!
I gathered candy from under couch
I didn't need my plastic fangs
I had my own and the costume matched...

I’m running out of steam
You’ve overestimated me,
and I’m tired of people who dare
to look at me

Don’t twist your tongue,
let me stop you right now
I’m tired of you and all the people
I’ve let down

and false reality
with concerns of anxiety
skipping and spinning
just to fabricate
the incorrect

to find that
forever is just nothing
cold and motionless
coupled with reasons
and ideations
just to enter
the madness of the mind
advancing to agitation
with no direction to be known......

I pull the shade down and turn blind eyes
to the city's darkness. No one even cares.
It's hard to live in Baltimore anymore.
We can't buy our way out. We do best we can.
City's dying after all. Blood's everywhere
and death's smell corrupts every surface.
Fools party in the harbor and pay a price
       whitey never understands. Anger seethes.

Nothing
Nothing comes
Nothing goes
Empty and alone

Still nothing
Still nothing comes
Still nothing goes
Still empty and alone

I'm heartbroken
Concrete split open
I can't breath right now
But I'll be alive tomorrow
I woke up with sunshine in the morning
Blinds wide open
I crawled my way through the window
Please hurry
I can't make it to my bed
There's only a few more feet left to go
My legs won't work anymore
But I'll be alive in the morning
I'm still heartbroken
Concrete's still split open
But don't you worry 'bout me

Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.

my mind has become a burning city
there’s no escape
the smoke is taking over
whispering lies
filling my mind with all these dreadful memories
not even the firefighters can extinguish it now
overwhelmed by all the trauma in my life
all i can do is hide
someone come and save me from this wildfire
that wants to take my life

The brightening light
Surrender all to love

I wanted to scream
Until I heard the
Whistling in my ear.
I wanted a song
To pair with the freight
Train crashing through
My heart.
I wanted to feel my
Bones shatter
At the impact.

But instead,
I implode
And my lips pull
Into a smile.
"Don’t worry,
I’ll be fine
In a while".

I can't find the rhyme in all my reason
I've lost sense of time and all seasons
Feel I've been beaten down
By the words of men who have no grounds
Can't sleep beneath the trees of wisdom
When your ax has cut the roots that feed them
Forked tongues in bitter mouths
Can drive a man to bleed from inside out
What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?
To teach the fools who rule a lesson or two

These words are for me,
For I'm the one who's hurting,
I'm just healing myself.
I often wonder why we can't understand other's poems sometimes, but deep down it is the one who writes it knows the value of it.

today,
I wore it again
and people complimented me
they say red is my color
and it suits me.

today,
it's too thick and dark
did I overapply
no, it's the right amount
just enough
to make them think
I'm fine.

today,
I look at myself
in the mirror,
and they're right
red shines on me,
so I applied
another layer,
and another
until my lips felt too thick,
but my eyes still see
the scars beneath it.

caught a smile
of you in
my mind today,

and it was
like my last
memory of
you,

was happening
right before
my eyes.

and everything
in life
was pure,

and  the kiss
upon your
lips was
just for
me.

and all
my souls
seasons
fell into
one,

and the
clouds in
the sky
were everything
in my eyes.

and you
in my
heart.

and love
was old
and it was
new.

and my soul
was sky
and you took
me with you.

today and
all of
our days
that might
follow.

and it was
easy to
see everything
in me

is you...
