You stripped me down to my last layer

You look right into my soul each time our eyes meet

Just the thought of your name on my lips makes me quiver from head to toe

And now we’re bound together

Soon enough, life-mates

What does it mean, now,
To understand the colors we can see –
To become cognizant of what details the boundaries between
Man and woman
Woman and girl
Girl and boy
Boy and man –
And your freedom blows away
The wind pulls it,
Without a word –
Not a sorrowful goodbye,
But a wall of dissent –
Of once clear streams
Of dwelling time
All to say, approach the soil –
The seeds are now planted –
Your perspective, is mine.

I reached to the heavens
With a hopeless plea
Knowing full well that these eyes
Are not to shine forever
Fires will die
Birds will fall
And light will vanish
Seize the day.

Keeping Love Alive

I wake up every morning
with a smile upon my face
that's because
I'm thinking of you
you make everything
fill everything with grace
we work together
that's just what we do

it isn't hard
it comes so naturally
is seems so easy
sharing thoughts and dreams
helping each other out
keeping everything in sync
one common goal
riding on Life's moonbeams

keeping love alive
that's our every goal
keeping love alive
we're living out our dreams
keeping love alive
in our own special way
keeping love alive
keeping love alive

Nothing could be said
Nothing could be heard

Could be felt

I never thought I'd matter
To anyone

Until you
Came along

And changed my perspective
Of the universe

You made me feel
Like I matter

And I'm grateful
For you.

Monsters don’t exist
Still, we are very afraid
Because we made them
Monsters. A concept so often used to represent anything dislikable to society, which we are afraid of. Yet literal monsters don’t exist.

Social distance,
Staying inside,
I don’t have a fever,
I am drunk and I am high,
God, help us!
Forgive my addiction,
But life feels like science fiction,
I don’t really know how much I can stand,
Between naps I play Rocket Man,
The numbers increase,
We're losing the pace,
I am never going to touch my face

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

blooming -

a blossoming
of grief -

dark fallen pollen
on the breeze -

I can see it falling
all around me -

there on the wall
for us to see -

April will be
the cruelest of them all.
β€œ April is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land...

I will show you fear in a handful of dust...

...And other withered stumps of time
Were told upon the walls;...”

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

With corrupted minds and dark souls
These monsters lurk not in the shadows
They hide not under your beds
But within you, they feed on your sorrows
Found this one scribbled on one of my old planners, this must be a product of the 3 am sad hour (based on the time I wrote there)
She held my hand
and dried my sweating brow
"I never asked her"

She comforted me when I was alone
and fed me when I was hungry
"I never asked her"

She washed me when I was unclean
and covered me in warm sheets
"I never asked her"

She blew me a kiss when she left
and said I'll see you tomorrow
"I never thanked her"

When I was younger the quiet scared me,
Demons running wild in my head constantly.
I’m older now and they cannot ruin me like they once did.
My past demons can no longer touch me,

the beginning and end of every sentence is indefinite
this is the aim of every death

keep the door wide shut
let the groan steep
and exit in the blue of night

its all a blur
mouth decorous bloom
and bile above
in some countries
more people have died from police violence
than corona

and in others
corporations build oil pipelines
in the absence of protesters

this is the inarticulate terror
of the now
a conflux of neoliberal individualism and totalitarian paranoia
that is the beginnings of a new fascism

Well beneath my sarcasm
My hatred for the world

There is a different story waiting
Waiting to be told

For I am made of poetry
Of sunsets
And the moon

Of summer rain
And chocolate smell
And nights that end too soon

It's hidden well
It's out of sight
It's on you to find the key

For my fragile little world,
My dear,
Is not for everyone, you see?

a beautiful and harrowing crisis
is that of an existentialist
facing the imminent reality
or lack thereof
that our chaotic universe has to offer

both uncomfortable and dully excruciating
to subscribe to the belief
that there is no belief
an order to see the disorder
and continue on nonetheless

rousing the heart and mind
to the harsh reality
to bear each decision and action
as their own
not inevitability
shaped by an omnipotent figure
but of their hands

accepting the absurd
and employing a fallible mind
to make subjectively rational decisions
in an objectively irrational existence
post existential crisis

I don't know what I paint
I like to color without drawing first
Nothing fills
Nothing remains unfulfilled
Nothing is missing
There is no limit to the color to end
Every moment I create with my ink a filled color
That creates the always filled drawing
But my ink lives so it ends
But the smaller the more life it has
What remains is not the drawing that remained
What remains is each place each color maintained
Die
Fill
Always filled

I've drank the finest of wine
Down to the bottom of the bottle
Only to witness an ocean alone
Barely surviving my own hands

A fire burned through my viens
That was blew out by the wind
Breezing through the leaves
A calmness that sits with me
Before calmness dismisses me

I walked across the tallest blue sky
Where wide winged birds soar high
Til promises of white clouds turn grey
And so there I fell with the rain
Dripping through the lowest gutter

Many times I was buried, lying in dirt
Like a grave, needing no help
Finding the dark inside of myself
But I always rise with the blades
Of the greenest fresh spring grass

No matter what feeling I catch
None of them seem to everlast
