Laziness waits around the bend,
Always ready to be your friend,
Be careful if with him you meet,
He’s not a nice person to greet.
For he’ll remove your zeal and drive,
And destroy all your aims in life.

i haven't lost anyone lately
(besides myself)
but still i feel lonely;
can't hold on to used-to-be's,
but it's not that easy.
i was always afraid i'd never change.
so afraid, in fact,
that i didn't realize i was afraid of changing.

Books on shelves,
Knowledge from someone’s mind,
Ideas, purpose, or reason,
Words from A moment in time,

Many read,
Everywhere, every day,
Very few remembered,
Future generations far away.

Lie’s, fibs, and tale’s,
Leave’s on A windy day,
Truthful visions in words,
Guidance during this earthly stay.

I kissed a girl with a broken smile;
nothing could come near.
She carved it with a pocket knife;
slit from ear to ear.
And she wears it like her favourite scarf;
it keeps her from the cold.
So I told her its only woven by
her enemies of old.

Behind every tree
An eye watches
The hand of doubt
Hesitantly reaches
While quickly pulling back
To many eyes to count

But
You and I
Seek the gleam of
Eye to eye contact
Wide
Open curtains
Exchange of smiles
But we haven’t seen that
No, not in a coronavirus mile!

be,

thrusting

within the folds

of your mind

penetrating

the sweet softness

of your soul,

Let love be a candle
And our every act a flame
For everyone helpless you cuddle
You spark a flame
Everytime you help someone in a struggle
You intensify the flame
For when darktime comes and you struggle
You will know no shame
Cos the universe will spark you a flame
That bears your insignia and name
You'll never be the same
All because you sparked a flame☀

Dear me,
Don't just sit
Rise, and pursue greatness.

Don't just watch
Go after what you want.

Don't just exist
Strive and start living.

Don't just dream
Work hard and aim for success.

Don't get tired
Keep hiking until you get to the peak.
It’s not the way you look.
It’s not the way you speak.
It’s not the way you move.
It’s the way you write
the things you say.
That captures me
To capture your soul

Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Exclamation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!

All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression
The lines we draw and stay within
Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends
Flowing from our pens

Feel like I'm floating. People talk but I don't really hear. Bought a cat cause I'm lonely but now I despise it because it needs.

Windows have frost, maybe vitamin deficient. Jack it to memories of a faceless  beauty on a night that cared so long ago.

But now I'm haunted. I'll see it soon. Just wish I could be alone; truly, truly, truly alone.  Where no light shines but withers

I know you.
Sometimes you say things, expecting that I won’t understand, and I think it’s strange because
I know you.
That’s what this is. I know you,
And I want you,
And I care about you
Anyway.
Don’t want no one else.
You might not know me,
The stanchions you use to prop yourself up eating all that I have fed you,
In the darkness,
In the night,
But I know you.
And I want you anyway.

I am the deep, the sky in reverse
I have what you seek, for better or worse

I am the blue of infinite depth
I've swallowed the crews and cleared the decks

You are afraid or maybe intrigued
Of the place where you played and also was freed

Kiss me now like you did before
Give me your vow and the ocean is yours.

They’d waited too long to say

“I love you”.

3 words. 3 syllables.

Yet they held millions of emotions unspoken.

and now that they’d done it, they wouldn’t,
couldn’t, stop

they told each other all the time. In the end of the argument and before the good news.

In the middle of the storm, even though it was hard to see, and after, when the raging winds had settled on a breeze

before the rising sun turned the sky pretty colors and after it flickered out and faded away into the dark

Underneath the stars that their love had been etched into

There was no love until death for them. Because it would never stop. Their love was beyond. It rose above any border that would dare to try and stop it. There was no finish line

because they were each other’s end game.

Why is poetry dying
when we still have the gift?
If we still have water
then we still have a ship.
We can sail to the places
these words take us.
We are still shaken
by the words that make us.
Why should we let poetry die
when there is so much to explore?
If only people read it
and discovered more.

i saw a blazing sunrise

across the empty january fields
i saw myself

sleeping
we are to rejoin the sun

i took the back way
because

well i don't know why
but i'm glad i didn't miss the sunrise

i saw flashes of pain
and all morning

it's been reminders of the things i cannot be
the ways i dissapoint

i hurt people
the way the sun burns our eyes

maybe i am just a deep red, burning
sunrise
i'm such a **** up i can't just have any one good thing

I Don’t Cry Anymore

What does that mean?
Have I lost my soul?
The thing that makes me human?

I don’t cry anymore.
Something dies right in front of me -
I mourn. I lament.
But I do not cry.

You throw barbs at me.
You are hateful and unkind.
I look at you with empty eyes and I am silent, but by God
I do not cry.

I don’t cry anymore.
The well has run dry.
I am but a withered and weathered
thing.
Twisting in the wind.

A Holy Place
Woke up to start a new day,
Glister shine of the sun on my soul.
Soothing water flows, river sing in water notes,
Birds chirping, astonishing melodies to the ear.
Wisdom of softness the wind would love to share,
Feeling the connection with nature as I stand and spread my hands in the air.
Glitter and glister, crystal clear the water sits still,
While am by the river bank at the bottom of the valley's hill.
Not a better feeling than inhaling the fresh breeze,
Get a whiff of the sweetness, oou, bless me I sneezed.
What a wonderful morning, and unaware of such demise,
LOVE
Is my morning's surprise.

Drowning in sorrow, I walk with a cane , it's real complicated but I'll try to explain. When I was a child, the masks that were worn were there to protect me since the day I was born. I had a mother and a father you see, but that didn't stop the beatings on me. I had nobody, I had not one friend, in school I was bullied and harassed without end. I prayed to Jesus but he never came, my teachers ignored me they added to my shame. This is my story. I tell it with care, why did this happen? why is life so unfair? There are other children whom have it harder than me, they hope for redemption, and a chance to be free. Now I am older, and so blessed to be, now I have friends who share their love and it's free, no more beatings but I still wear a mask, ill take it off if politely you ask.

For you are only human,
You can not do it all.
You will fail and
you will succeed.
In your failures, get back up.
In your success, be humble.
You are expected not to be the best,
But you are expected to try your best.
Feed your curiosity,
Expand your boundaries.
Just remember, you are only human, you can not do it all.
I got asked to write words  I wished someone would have told me, so here are words I had wish I got told.
I lay alone in a dark room
In my feelings
Feeling everything around me
Except needed or wanted
I’ve made so many tears
I don’t want to make anymore
Unless they’re falling from my own eyes
So as the thunder rolls in
Stating its presence here with me
The rain chimes in too
Tap dancing on my window
As I continue to lay alone
In a dark room
In my feelings

In the cold, dark
        of January,
         I remembered
              you
        the most.
  As the chill
      snapped bones
              like branches,
     as the afternoons
   bathed themselves
in gray,
     as the birds
and the backs
      shook,
so did my lips
   around your name.
I'm so happy

over now.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems like *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated

I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.
