we have no evidence at all, except people that we love and trust hold these beliefs.

I wanted to scream
Until I heard the
Whistling in my ear.
I wanted a song
To pair with the freight
Train crashing through
My heart.
I wanted to feel my
Bones shatter
At the impact.

But instead,
I implode
And my lips pull
Into a smile.
"Don’t worry,
I’ll be fine
In a while".

I know I'm a fool for
running away from love,
especially when love is the only
thing I've been dreaming of.

But I'm afraid of rejection, so I
isolate myself from other's affection.

Time after time I find myself
walking this road alone,
with just the thought of you
to keep me warm.

I am a creature
Of movement and pain.
In movement and pain I exist
And have always existed.
To cease movement
Will be to pass from existence.
I am a creature
Of movement and pain.
A marathoner's mantra.

‘…If you are feeling unwell during your journey
Please seek help at the next station…’

But what if you don’t know when the next station is?

What if you don’t believe that there even is a station up ahead?

What if you don’t know what help you need?

Sometimes I feel like I am hurtling down the wrong track
Towards the wrong destination
And I don’t know how to get off

Perhaps I need to pull the emergency brake
And sit still and think

Perhaps?

What’s dead that still
drives action?
From the graveyard I heard
mallards fighting in the green pond.
Stinging flies following
roads through barks of lime.
On a grave a notice had been taped.
My wife is under this stone, it read,
I promise you, you won’t graffiti it
more times than I can clean it.

We use to dance

To the rain

The sun

The moon

The stars brightened our dark sky

Shiny whispers of forever

Dawn waves a new day

Reminding me

You will remain

A distant memory

Clouded skies

No colorful rainbows

Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.

She is the creator; created you with her blood.
She celebrated the hell of pain as your birth.
And her eyes seen your heart first before anyone in this world.
She is your mother❤️.

Her womb became your light for almost a year
And she made you as her own eyes.
The only women loved you before you see this world.
She is your mother❤️.

She welcomed your mistakes with open arms.
Her hair and skin grown older she stood their holding a stick still loving you as the same she took you first in her arms.

Now waiting to see this world through your eyes.
She is your mother ❤️.

I miss you
Like the rain misses the blood in my veins

You know they say we are made mostly of water
I drown in you

She watches darkness
I see the light in you

I live in you
Petty phrases and lifeless eyes

Music runs in my blood as my heart beats faster.

It takes me to another world, oh I feel joy!

With words I can't explain, music is my one love.

Such as this, no one can ever understand me.

Without it, I could not live and that is my death.

Music is in my soul and it is forever.

These words are for me,
For I'm the one who's hurting,
I'm just healing myself.
I often wonder why we can't understand other's poems sometimes, but deep down it is the one who writes it knows the value of it.

He stands on a cliff called love
Overlooking the abyss
I call out behind him
He’s ready.

He backtracks along the rocky surface
My face turns dark
The earth beneath him gives way
He’s falling.

He reaches out
Clawing at the darkness
My hands grab his
He’s safe.

I stand on a cliff called love
Overlooking the abyss
He calls out behind me
I’m ready.

I backtrack along the rocky surface
His face turns dark
The earth beneath me gives way
I’m falling.

I reach out
Clawing at the darkness
The abyss swallows me
I’m alone.

self-hatred
is art
just like
poetry
it needs to be expressed

a razor blade
is my pen
my skin
the paper
and my blood
the ink

art tells a story
coming from
deep inside
our darkest secrets
revealed
and once they're written down
they stay
forever.

an affliction

when i speak

winning every time
and i lie

and take another hit
of you

Where a question mark
No longer goes

Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind

Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads

What will the future hold?

today,
I wore it again
and people complimented me
they say red is my color
and it suits me.

today,
it's too thick and dark
did I overapply
no, it's the right amount
just enough
to make them think
I'm fine.

today,
I look at myself
in the mirror,
and they're right
red shines on me,
so I applied
another layer,
and another
until my lips felt too thick,
but my eyes still see
the scars beneath it.

What if I took just one step
How far do you think I'd go
Just one step could lead me down a dark and lonely road
What it I held my breath
And let myself sink down
Do you think I'd wake up
Or would I merely drown
What if I just ceased to be
And slowly disappeared
Would you know I was gone
Would you miss me here
What if I closed my eyes
Let my darkness take command
Would you let me harm myself
Or would you still my hand
I only want to cease this pain
Not cause anymore
I've dealt with all life has had to give
I can't handle anymore

The doors are all closed,
the windows all shut
and all alone-
Surrounded by my lonely shadows
I do stand,
Shadows of a past
that is no longer mine,
Shadows of aspirations
I no longer recognize,
Shadows of dreams long lost
Shadows of longing
of regret and  failure

And often I feel like a misfit
an outcast
Locked up behind a door,
caged by my very own thoughts
captive to a fear yet unknown
Begging for freedom,
from my self

Not a word to call my own,
not a soul to call my friend
Often lost to the
Pangs of antiquity,
an oblivion so profound,
That all I often know,
Is but a prolonged solitude
A peace,
A quietude that now seems to itch,
And all I would ever bequeath,
Would be scars of a reticent heart,
Unexplored,
gone sour with hate

I saw the little boy with my own eyes
He cupped the sun in his hands
Then threw it away in the deep ocean.
It was him, who gathered all the sand
With his hands and his bare feet
Under his red pail,he hid it all, underneath
And threw it in the ocean.
Then he giggled really loud
That caused ripples
And from ripples emerged big waves…
In the ocean.

My love for you never changed,
It simply faded over time.
I can feel the days in my mind,
I count the nights we exchanged.

Inside your hands rests my smiles,
Now they're gone but I can remember,
For you I'll never get better,
I'll wait and stay immobile.

Now that you've broken me for good,
I slowly fall without making a sound,
My feet are sinking in the ground,
Heaven was where you understood.
