is my light not bright enough
for you to see my stars
why hurt my sky
with your fireworks
are my stars not enough
or are they too many
the moon is always looking at us on our darkest nights, but it's so bright our dark nights may not even be as dark as we think it is. i wonder if it feels, everything is life after all.

We humans carry a curse
of loving until death
and from it suffer
but care not to fear
or the pains of a beating heart
for love is sweet poison
and a broken paradise
so go on
go forth
love away your life
as the price you may pay
is worth the reward

For months,

I've been wandering,
through winding
silences

hoping
I'd find your chaos
one day.

..not about you
Happiness does lay within you’re successes
The love of someone might tickle your heart
The money might make your mind calm
The house might make you feel secure
The clothes and vehicles might make u feel confident
But happiness does not lay within in any of these things , in any material thing or  person

Happiness lays within you already
We’re just blinded on what happiness is
Happiness is in what you give to others
Love , help , time , laughter , a lending hand , a lending ear .
And it’s within the power of you pushing yourself everyday, exceeding your limit to grow and love.

You’re anxiety’s and sadness will consume you And the darkness in the tunnel will frighten you. Happiness won’t always be there in-spite of all these things. And the end of the tunnel not in sight

But you will find the fire
a smallest ray of sun through a crack
A small light
That will guide you
Love is all
Working for my dream, I start to forget what I'm working for and what I'm fighting for.

Forget about the
tarnished pages, tingy blues,
tattered memories, ties severed, a love that died long ago.

Papers stained of sweaty inks, tear scented poetry,
someone lives
between the lines-
you.
Don't let a poet fall for you if you don't want to hear yourself in every scribbled notes she writes.

the day a poet
falls in love with you
is the day
you know you will live
forever
not in life

I fell in love, I fell apart in May

I tried so hard to make you stay

But in the end, you just slipped away

I'd hit you up with a "hey"

But you'd ignore me, I was castaway

It's been many months, haven't talked a single day

Despite my tries, you've ended up just walking away

I tried so hard to make you stay

But now you've gone, all the way

And I still miss that May Day.
I wrote this earlier in this year about someone I miss(ed) dearly.

is wondering how the world works
does not know what to do
is abandoned in the universe full of meaningless
blames herself
is beautiful
A beautiful, frightened mess
is desperately searching for love and a purpose in life
we are all in this together. I don't know what I am saying though

Case of us -
hearts in flux,
soiled words,
a closed girl.
The kind of dirt
left by worms.

The case of us -
a fool’s lust.
Ending weaved
in bee’s sting,
it takes madness
to fall in.

Past finish,
used to little,
when hope is big,
reality’s fickle.
Actions I loathe,
lessons I preach.

I’ll never forget -
ice cream,
at Swanpool beach.

Mother make me low
for only during times of sadness
do we know
the warning signs of madness

Father make me scream
for it is only subsequent to rage
we dream
always of a better age

Mirror make me die
for it is solely when we hate
we know the lie:
we can escape our fate

I saw you standing there
I know you cannot bear
With weary eyes and skin so dry
You looked down wanting to cry

You want to hide in unknown places
Kept running away from your fears
Covering up your ears
To the words you don't want to hear

Storming days suddenly passed
You didn't moved until the sunlight flashed
You looked up and surveyed the sky
Finally found a reason to smile

I want to save this Princess from Zimbabwe --
because she tells me it is my destiny,
and it is all in the email she sent me.

I want to save this Princess from Zimbabwe --
because she possesses many Riches,
and she has promised me all of them.

I want to save this Princess from Zimbabwe --
from her wretched uncle,
who will steal her wealth and lock her away.

I would save this Princess from Zimbabwe --
but she only needs my Government ID,
Bank Account and Social Security.
The useless skin around the v*gina, the woman.
Quiet, meek, sensitive, a pushover,
the woman.
A female dog!
The woman.
Patronized and ignored,
the woman.
Living in a backwards town, where people treat people terrible.

your name is
forbidden in
my mouth
or in my heart
because when
i think about
you;

i'll cry a little more,
hurt a little stronger
love a little softer
because you no longer
make me feel sober

i'm drunk on the
memory of you
if only i could chase you with pizza but shots don't work like that

you,
and me,
we are,
unified souls,
simply, united,
an unbreakable set,
underway, sailing,
like ship and sea,
this two-way street,
you,
and me,
we are,
us. [one].

all i can know is me and mine
and even that can be a mystery sometimes
i could waste time trying to read your mind
or work on bringing love to my own life
and honestly the best thing
seems to be investing
in the best me
not being messy

Break my bones;
cut my throat.
Pull me open,
learn the ropes.

Breath me in;
taste the fear.
Shank my skin;
stand and cheer.

Kick my head;
let me bleed.
Unbolt my veins;
enjoy the read.

Gouge my eyes;
punch my face.
Wrap me up
in your embrace.
Get to know me like I do you; inside and out.

Early in the morning
My spirits come to haunt me
But I am armed with
Paper and pen
sometimes I just can't sleep  so I do the next best thing write and go back to sleep
In total,
I think I know nothing
                           Of you.
In part,
I think I know all
                  Of you.
Together,
I think is where I’ll start
                          With you.

The books I read,
The songs I listen to...
All fill me with envy
Such lives they have
Filled with feelings and emotions
I would die to feel
My insides are numb
As if turned to stone
My mind's dead,
My heart asleep
I carry on like a machine
I want to escape my life

It’s your eyes ...

Your magic!

When you stare ...

Like a pause ...

With no stop!

I like your eyes’ white ...

Innocence?!

Always ...

You can have me any time ...

Any time you do the same thing!

Same beautiful thing!

Like never happen ...

Before ...

Or

After ...

I like the way you look at me!

REY
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

I’m addicted to the feel of cold metal sliding across bare flesh
Addicted to the instant
when nothing marks smooth skin
immediately before
red rivers rapidly rise
painting a once white canvas
with a flood of emotion,
tears on my cheeks,
sobs caught in my throat,
numbness replaced by pain & sadness.
Addicted to the imperfection
of red welts and dotted scabs that follow,
fingers drawn like magnets
to the texture of healing skin,
tracing over and over and over now fading ridges
Amazed that I am strong enough
to heal myself over and over and over.
Convincing myself that I am strong enough.
I find strength in my weakness.
6 months self harm free! Writing about it helps fight the urge

Thinking about getting a tattoo
But, I take pause...
Looking in the mirror
I see my body’s already covered
Marked in invisible ink
Every inch of my bare skin
Painted with the joy and pain of living
From my heart to my hips
Color faded here, but poppin’ over there
Memories designed by your hands
Others etched on my own
A collection that makes me smile
Among a few pieces I regret
So, about getting a tattoo...
I guess I’m not ready
Because I can’t think of a tattoo
Meaningful enough, yet
To write over any of the life I’ve lived

This is not for the broken hearted
Feelings wounded
I'm tired wasting
inks on imagined romance
No, this is a confession
You're the priest
I, the confessor
Forgive me, for I have sinned
I have not been me
since Cupid released the string
I promised redemption
through paper
Hear the angels sing
as I lift the plume
Give me absolution
when the story prints

The edge
Where this
Meets that
This is where you stand
And it cannot feed any longer
That is only a step away
But in that one step
There are a thousand increments
The car, the cats, the money, the apartment, the friends, the families, the pain, the selfishness, the tears, the doubt, the time, the love....
