Why does the moon cry,
When the sun leaves her sight,
Does she not know,
He shines for her bright!
Want comes before doubt knocks at your door

These pumped up kids with
their sugar coated noses?
Minds supplied with
hand guns and prickeled roses?
-
Eating mushroom caps?
Raising tax? Running away
from office FAX
and paper stacks?

It’s a lie! We aren’t the
lazy generation of non-believers!
A drug ridden nation
of gamer streamers.
-
Who the **** said we don’t stand
for ****? We’re fighting
those that think that
climate heat is just a myth.
-
We ache for peace
in a world of
racist schemes
and broken dreams.
-
We’re out here aiming
so. much. higher.
When your mind is wired
by a narcissistic liar.

...And you say we ****?
Take a look around.
This world is changed
by those like us
that make a sound.

Because the earth’s round
Doesn’t mean it’s  having a ball.

Because waves crash
Doesn’t mean that they aren’t in control.

Because the sea is deep
Doesn’t mean that it’s thoughtful

Because land meets the sea
Doesn’t mean that they agree

Because you float my boat
Doesn’t make me the captain.
Five little ten worders to ponder.

I saw the little boy with my own eyes
He cupped the sun in his hands
Then threw it away in the deep ocean.
It was him, who gathered all the sand
With his hands and his bare feet
Under his red pail,he hid it all, underneath
And threw it in the ocean.
Then he giggled really loud
That caused ripples
And from ripples emerged big waves…
In the ocean.

These words are for me,
For I'm the one who's hurting,
I'm just healing myself.
I often wonder why we can't understand other's poems sometimes, but deep down it is the one who writes it knows the value of it.

Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art

Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!

Once my light is out,
There'll be none of me.
You gaze, admired it, then you close your eyes to sleep. Only to wake for the Sun.

today,
I wore it again
and people complimented me
they say red is my color
and it suits me.

today,
it's too thick and dark
did I overapply
no, it's the right amount
just enough
to make them think
I'm fine.

today,
I look at myself
in the mirror,
and they're right
red shines on me,
so I applied
another layer,
and another
until my lips felt too thick,
but my eyes still see
the scars beneath it.

If you could read my mind,
You’d see a thousand papers
Filled with broken poetries
And deadbeat proses
Full of woeful verses
With mournful pieces
Of unfinished stories
That are yet to be written
And failed to be spoken;
If you could read my mind,
You’d hear horrible screams
And earsplitting weeps
From shattered dreams,
Kept in a nasty notepad,
Scribbled on a bed
Of bloodstained words,
Ringing in my head.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the shadows
That lurk within me;
You’d hear the bellows,
Screeching the words
“I’m tired,”
“I’m a failure,”
“I’m stupid –”
I know it sounds stupid,
It’s pathetically foolish
And seems too *******.
If you could read my mind,
You’d feel the tears
I had ever failed to cry;
You’d see the people
That make the weak weaker;
You’d see the monsters
That consume my head;
You’d hear the hollers
That failed to be freed;
You’d see the heart
That still bleeds and bleeds.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see the face
I’ve failed to show back then,
The face I’ve faked back then.
If you could read my mind,
You’d see a character
I had ever failed to become
If you could read my mind,
You’d be able to read
A book you never wished
To touch and read,
But sometimes I still wish
Someone could read my mind.

Little children
Beware of idols
An image instilled in our mind
Cannot fulfill or console

The crucifix on the wall
With Jesus’s dead image
That’s where people fall
Bowing in homage

They never get past the death
To see the resurrection
Jesus is not that dead man on the cross breathing out His last breath
He’s conquered amidst them all from death to perfection

Splendor in Magnificence
He crushed the principalities
Rose out of that grave in all power in spite of their defiance
He gave up His life even for those who nailed Him to the death defying cross for all humanities

Lord Jesus You are omnipotent
Loving all who hate You
Freely You give to all who repent
Saving the least of these as I am one You rescued

Oh no your not that dead man on the cross
Your Arm Span embraced from east to west
Your voice so soft
Yet like a trumpet heard through silence

Let us bless You Lord
Let us wait on Your Word
Just as in the upper room in one accord
Waiting for the Power that is promised and is what You died for

So all can be as You are in us
Jesus standing firm in the souls that receive Him
Don’t wait around for a Super Bowl event Jesus or bust
He’s quiet and simple loving to the brim

Give Him honor and praises
Allow your soul to let Him in
Repentance is a gift so don’t pass up His grace
Truth be know I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Him

So lift up your voices to give honor to the only One
Who died a horrible death yet rose before the sun
Benevolent is Your nature all will succumb
Come Lord Jesus Thy Will be done!

When I was much younger, beaches were my second favorite places. I still love watching waves as they go by, crashing against each other and the whole process repeating all over again.

I love him
I tell myself
I know that
We will be together forever
I don’t believe that
We could be separated
My thoughts tell me that
He’s the love of my life
Sometimes my heart lies and says
I could live an eternity
Without him
Like my friends say
“We’re perfect for each other”
And you can’t tell me
He’s not the one.

Now read from bottom to top.

Monday,
We woke up looking perfect, right?
Tuesday,
We're kind to everyone cause it's what we love to do, right?
Wednesday,
Put extra makeup on to hide the evidence of last night's beating, cause if anyone found out they'd laugh and tell us to **** it up, right?
Thursday,
We laugh because crying ruins our image, right?
Friday,
. . .I got in a fight.

I don't know about you but even on the moon's brightest nights,
it's still got a dark side,
Maybe we don't always see it, but it's there,
So don't judge me when I miss the mark on "perfection"
