Your caresses is a flower, the kisses a fragrance.
Your love is the plant of my sun-kissed dreams.
The reason I say sun and not moon is because
your warm actions take me to a world of bliss.
Where the loveliest grass thrive near and far,
the sweetest of fleurs are everlasting.
As well as my fortunes.
Please, adorn my black crown with another made
of wildflowers.
Take my hand, then a breath and let us dance in
light.
Make me see only the flowers, never the weeds.
Short poem from my journal
Lyn-Purcell Nov 2017
Draw me close to you
Like a butterfly to a distant moon.
Light up my path,
so I may hasten forth sure minded.
I'm feeling rather lost today...

I ask you to mother me greatly, memory.
I ask you to father me strongly, experience.
I ask to strengthen me gradually, time.
I ask you to hone and refine me, wisdom.
This is excerpt from my poetry book, 'Mythos',  that was privately published in the final year of university, which I'm sharing here. It's already copyrighted so no one can take or use it without my permission. I remember when I gave my lecturer the final draft for revision, he said this section stood out to him the most. I'm thinking maybe I should polish this manuscript also and publish it publicly! Let me know what you think! Criticism is welcome.
Love you all!

II.
To love pales in comparison of being loved,
but to love and be loved in turn?
Truly puissant, indeed.

III.
Though on the thread of life, the ink will spill
but never fades away. Now I see. If all I am
is to be nothing but a memory, the least
I can do is to make it a good one for the
future seeds.
Memory can slip and slide, but these words,
my words, that I have painted will remain.
More excerpts from my poetry book, 'Mythos', that was privately published in the final year of university. Again, it's already copyrighted so no one can take or use it without my permission! Looking at it now, I do see it's potential, so I'm slowly dusting it off. It's basically like my Jasmine Pearls poem...only longer. Oh boy lool
Love you all!
Have a great night/day! ^-^

Myths and legends I find
always have some truth
to them

And there are those who
create their own myths
and legends

That sort of immortality
shines for a special
starlit few

Who were never before
and never again
How we continue to deifying humans who become myths in the culture.
Who become icons and have an immortality that will stand the very test of time... that sort of star power is saved for the starlit few
Whose light will never be forgotten.

For me, I have a small group of celebs who fit this mould.

What does it mean to be truly
naked for the one you love?
When you peel away the clothes,
ready to make love to one another?
In the kisses you share?
In the strokes of the flesh?
With butterflies in your stomach?
No.
That's not being naked.
Being naked is when you bare it all
Your pain
Your past
Your scars
Your dreams
Your fears
When you feel your lover trace over
the tales of your sacred body
and feel what you feel
It's only then that you can truly and proudly
say you're naked to your lover
That they are only yours.
And you are only theirs.
I'm an old fashioned soul by nature. This is what I feel it means to be naked.

With the love of the people,
comes the strength of
a nation.
Based on an clip of a childhood show of mine
Lyn-Purcell May 2018
There isn't a person
in this world
who has
not
said or done
something they
deeply regret.
And it's
okay.

We're only human.
We're not programmed
to be flawless.

Naturally we would want to:

lock it up,
toss the key,
walk ahead,
never look back.
Pray that it remains
buried or lost in the
shadows so that society
never finds out.
Given the opportunity,
they would relish
in the chance to
tear us apart.
Drag us up and
down on the media.
Because only in our
moments of weakness
they can forget their
own imperfections.

Sad but hey, that's society now...

Just know that making
a mistake is natural
Owning up to what
you did takes
courage.

Just remember this, don't forget your mistakes, ok?

Never forget.
Because to know
who you are,
you need to

remember where you came from.
Such is life...
Only 22 and I can admit and acknowledge some big mistakes.
Things I'm ashamed off...
But hey, that's life!
As sad as I am, as scared as I am, as angry and hurt as I am, I'm still here.
Even when I feel like wanting to die, I'm still here.
My story isn't over. Not yet anyway.

Be back soon!

Laughter rings wherever humans tread

The day's a grey one but even so, I wanna think of something sunny and happy. While looking for courses to try, I found a new form of poetry to experiment with - pantoum. Pantoum poems are described as 'a poem of any length, composed of four-line stanzas in which the second and fourth lines of each stanza serve as the first and third lines of the next stanza. The last line of a pantoum is often the same as the first.' [Credit goes to this site: https://poets.org/glossary/pantoum]

First time doing this poem, and I think it turned out really well.
I just pictured myself at a park and focused on my senses.
I think I may do more of these, I'm really happy with the end result! ^-^
Thanks everyone, wishing you a good day/afternoon/evening/night!

Stay safe and well!

My Lady Ophelia of the Golden Fleece.
With hair spun by the Sahara Sun
and alabaster skin. Eyes of indigo
flames and lips that have the
pop of the poppy. Her lush
body fitted in emerald
enchantments and
threaded
silver thistles.
See her sailing by the
moonlight on an ethereal sea,
upon her ship, the Tears of Joy.
The Emperor's Butterfly in her hair
with shining wings of gossamer threads.
Oh! I marvel the twilight afterglow
kiss her skin, making her a peach
rose. From her carnelian cup,
she sips the nectar -
moscato sweet.
Her first sip was of
gumdrops, then roses,
and after that, the more. Salty
tears from a mermaid's cheek, the
whispers of wisteria, the laughter of
springberries, the kisses of sweet neroli
and the tartness of plum toffee. She
passes by Aegean Ruins, her
secret retreat upon the
White Cliffs
that is west of
the moon. The beauty of
this lost history is as soft and
deep as an angel's sigh, with its
enchanting mist like graceful tendrils.
The shadows of the Black Hills bloom. She
coats herself in a cloak of midnight and
she descends down, setting foot
ashore. She walked down
the winding road of
burnt orchids
and lavender sands.
She had heard whisperings
of an unfound door and the Dream-
weavers of the Sable Heart. And so she
wanders... passed the midnight trees and their
sad serenades. The chill of sea ice and the
sharpness of pewter buds. The mist
dances. It twirls. Pirouettes.
Arabesques.
It circles and hisses.
Circles and hisses. Circles
and hisses! And there it was, the
unfound door made of crystal shadows.
Lady Ophelia of the Golden Fleece, extends her
hand and holds the ****. She twists and
enters...
This poem is based on a dream I had while working on my stories. But I woke up so I have no idea what comes happens next...

I hope everyone's alright in their part of the world. It's long overdue that I reconnect with my past love. Daily life is droll but I'm slowly finding my colours again. I'll definitely be posting more this year. To reconnect to my inner child and creativity. It's long overdue that I try to spread my wings instead of dealing with the constant fall.
Much love to you beautiful souls out there

Silver lights shimmer
Tranquil peace from the moon
Its touch makes all rest

The moon stares at me
Deep into my very soul,
that's broken and bruised

She sees me naked
My true self that's so afraid
to keep moving on

But she calms me down
She shows me my inner light
The light I must spread
On the window sill currently, emotionally drained but still here none the less.
Today was so emotionally draining...
There's something so comforting about the moonlight, I feel like it seems who I really am inside.
Anyway, thank you everyone for your kind comments and support.
It means the world to me.

Loving hymns blessings
the moon's pillowy softness
Life upon my breast
My silver knight sleeps in peace
Meek, ethereal flower

Soul born of the stars
His smile so meek, sweet and sad
His eyes are so bright
Silken arms wraps around me
My blessed silver-tongued hero

Our kismets are tied
Our foreheads touch so gently
We succumb to Hypnos call
Hand in hand, our bodies soothed
Our souls kiss happy

Under the light of the moon,
my mind races as I chase its tail
The sweet taste of happy thoughts
soured by the bitter screeches of life

Everything seems to scuttle through the cracks,
jumping and voiding every lance of light
As the flowerheads bobbed in the hooting wind,
ever earnest and every more grateful

But I am voiceless. Agile I may be to skip and
stay keep my cloak of shade, the panic grows in
its fat and I can't stop hearing hums
For the warmth in me comes in waves

In flames that flicker and smoke my lungs without fear
As I race forward to find my tranquillity
so I can stop feeling so wild, to **** that feeling so fierce
And not face the light that will scorch me so

Been a while since I did a new form of poetry. This one is called a Nocturne - a free form poem that set at night. It has 16 lines in total and sometimes can come in 4 stanzas.

Not feeling 100% but I want to make use of what's going on in my mind,
which is a thousand things a second these days with anxiety burning very hot in me.

The more I remain lost in my head, the more the urge there is to escape it. Have you ever thought of the mistakes you have made, and feel like the worst person alive? Even though I am scared of being in the dark,
I fear the light more as it feels somewhat like a scope at times, y'know?

Especially in this day and age, so I suppose the symbolism of a rat scurrying in the dark is rather apt. But it is a cycle of thought I am trying to break,
The more I read about poetry and study it, the more I am both grateful for it...and in a way, heartbroken too. I feel like I need to trust my skills more, I suppose.

I'm still making the list for the Women of Myth series as I have some new ideas in mind. Maybe next year, I will take a short course on poetry as well.

It feels good to write free verses again, I'll admit.
I miss writing really long ones so I'll definitely go back to doing so.
Please stay safe and hale, everyone.
My regards to your families.
Have a wonderful day!
Be back soon with more.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
I can't thank everyone here enough!
I started this page last year because I felt
like I needed an outlet for how I was feeling.
It was such a low place to be...
Things now are somewhat better,
but life as you know is up and down
To know that HP is such a positive and
supportive platform means so much to me.
Especially because I do have anxiety
as well as depression.

I usually feel very VERY
low about myself. Writing was and always will
be a way for me to cope - even though I do have
a love-hate relationship with it, but I digress.
This platform has made me truly believe more
in the writing craft. When it comes to art and expression,
I feel like I truly can be myself. It's a ray of light in
my life that I'm starting to believe in.
So much so that I've got a project lined up!
I'm working on my first poetry collection.
There's still  alot of details to work out, but
I will let you know as I go.
I've now opened a Twitter account so you're
welcome to follow me! I'll try to be active on there as
much as I can.

I'm super grateful for all of you.

Slowly getting there today. Thank you to all who sent me kind comments, I really appreciate it! Truly, they are lights that make the days better by far.
Free verses are still in the works too.

This haiku is for Pandia, a minor goddess of sorts. Said to be the daughter of Selene and Zeus. In some myths, Pandia is a epithet for Selene herself. Again, theres not much on her at all but still. Even the most minor of goddesses should get some love, right?

~
I am lost in the haze of memories of us as one

My eyes gaze the horizon as the sky and sea kiss

I haven't gotten how we smiled with the sun

and cried with the rain

How our secrets of the heart were held by dandelions

and each seed took to the sky, so free.

I have yet to truly resign myself to the thought of you being gone

For every embrace was and still is sacred to me

The sunset bathes in the sea, leaving orange ripples

How I wish I could've used the light to banish your darkness

To take the shade into a stone and skip it on the seas

And we can embrace the songs of nature as we laugh

and ride away, our turbulence forgotten

I envision the facets of faces of people I knew and know

Watching me as they bob on boats

But the wind brushes away the mirage and I am before the horizon

once more

As I hope that wherever you are,

That you see the same sun, same stars and skies

that I do

from this parapet

~

For the past few days, I have been placing myself on one of the highest hills, and just reflecting on life and the choices made. I don't want to hurt anyone, yet I know that I am capable of it, intentionally or not. Truly one of the most poignant things of being human.
My heart has been bleeding so much the past few weeks...
I deeply wish I had the power to heal, I really do...
I hope I can make peace with every storm in me as I keep moving forward regardless.
Be back soon with more!
Much love,

Many years and tears pass
till we stare and rise
from the ashes
of love

Just a short poem before I hit the hay.
Tommorow is interview day!
...save me...

Listen to nature
Under the sun-dappled trees
The world proudly sings
115 followers!!! T-T T.T
The tears keep flowing!
I'm so grateful!
And thank you very much, Sue, for your lovely poem 'Angel with a Broken Wing'
It truly made my day! Made me cry also with all the support I've been getting here. I'm grateful to all my followers.
Truly, with everything I have...
Thank you!
Be back soon!

Let me stay in a peaceful dwam
on my feather bed.
Soothed by the song of a thousand tears.
Half buried in embodied pillows
scented by pink lavenders, by
the warm flames licking and
dancing in the fireplace,
With a silver notebook
and a golden pen resting
by my side, my soft
wavy ringlets fall
around like
petals.

I'm so tired of people
pushing me from
the calm into
their storms
Nor am I
in a
state
where I can
pulling into my
peace. A peace I do not
have. A strength I seem to
lack. A comfort that has left me

All I want is a haven
away from the
noise of the

I'm so mentally drained...
Is it too much to ask for stability for once in my life?

What am I?
A mere butterfly in the summer fly of your
beauty?

Why am I
here,
coloured by the summer sky of your
grace?
Here I am to face
the nurture and the chase
of a diamond dragon's pace.
The searcher and my crystal
percher.

Where am I?
I'm gliding by the land to overhead.
By the starry riverbed, and time goes ahead,
as I taste the words
I never said...
I see flower heads of lover's lies
that suffer by the frontal eye
of azure skies, who's flustered by
the boats ahead.

Who rode ahead the ocean bed
of love and lust.

My flesh is a myriad of coloured dyes.
And when I wonder
why,
I am discovered by...
What?
Truth.
And pain.

I must be going insane...
I just let the words flow. No image or concept in mind... Today has been a strange day as it is.
