The bitter rain came flying
Dropping like icy marbles,
Freezing my bones, the wind
Stung my knuckles with lightning,
Shards of glass scraping past

Like blood mixed with snow
And ice, this bitter day

Shed your tears on mine,
Seek comfort in my darkness, fine
Let me take you
Make you and shape you, never wake you
Come lie with me
In my bed of hands to lift you to starry Skies
Please, realize that my eyes
Are for you, and you are mine
My self, my divine
Dry your tears on me, you see?
You'll be my life and I'll be your home,
Come die with me..
Please, don't let me go alone

Electric Night
MsAmendable Jun 2015
I love the energy of night
You can feel it, you know-
Seeping out of the ground,
Filling the air with and electric buzz
Sleepy people also release energy
Out, out to the night,
Until very late
When even it grows tired and still
And the energy condenses into dew
Until morning.

I wish I

Glimmer so

The mourning star falters
For in all the calm before,
It was forced to watch helplessly
As Earth grows up.
And yet, it still shines.
It is hard hearing about all the horrors that are going on- Syria, poverty, cruelty, rascism... And from an outside perspective if is all so senseless and yet unstoppable.

An end to unending winter,

A tree
Like a weary man, waits.
His proud spine refusing to bend
He stands, arms outstretched
Hands reaching to the unforgiving sky,
His tired limbs sway, but he stands
Refusing to succumb,
His legs planted firmly, defiant
Of the world, it seems, he stands
Where no other dare,
Precarious on the rocks,
Strong against the wind
His breath drawn thick and white
Around his face like a scarf,
Watching and waiting,
To stand forever alone

where did dreams go?
MsAmendable May 2015
Where went wonder,
Magic and thunder
Wonder pulled asunder,
My miracles sunk under
Faster than floating castles
Those rascals got chills,
Their wide eyed wills
Thwarted with skill
And practiced 'goodwill'
Slowly filled by pills that ****
I'm I'll.

Petty, weak, pithy,
Silly society, limp and flaccid
Our goals and dreams
Scratched with acid, I'll pass it.
Thrashing, clashing, crashing
I'll break these chains
Breaking our bent brains
Bringing pain, no gain
All gains
I'm scared, stunted, strained
Stained, not changed
Brain-maimed I'm afraid
To stay, say what I see
I see deceit, pretty and neat
Row on row on row
In cages we built below.

Those C.O.D kills ****
Not them, but us,
Oh, less, less of us
No trust, we rust and cuss
Our silly grins grimly thin
Flowing through holes holes we made
In our soul, berefit
Leeched of life and full of ****.

Dreams were taken, or left,
And ambition theft.
Nothing to reach for, to dream for
To clutch at
To rip your limits, tear your seams,
What has been was never seen.
Our stunted dreams slowly wean.

People make no sense,
Too much confidence for competence
And social stigma indents
Empty houses, homeless, and rent
Knowledge, not power,
-but freedom gone sour
Knowing you can't change the cruel
Its in the rules to be a fool!
Its......cool?

If we are the world,
oceans are curdled.
Stars are waning, fading
Dropping from skies like dead flies
They burn up, out, and die
Choked in the smoke we provoked
Insidious ideals appeal;
A dream stealing spiel with zeal
Leeching you like your wallet the day
Of the 'no pay' car unpaid.
And now, with nowhere to go
And nowhere to stay,
Not even dreams left,
They took that away

A million stars twinkle
Above me as I lay
Upon this field of dewy grass
So cold and yet I stay.
A million eyes are winking
A billion opals gleam
And I just lay here thinking
About this waking dream

This choice before me lingers
It transmogrifies the air
And resonates inside me
With what's already there.
The wind around me whispers
The stars begin to dance
The grass beneath me shivers;
I found myself, at last

MsAmendable Oct 2015
Today, I looked up, And saw
a tiny stain in the shape of a bird
Pressed to my ceiling.
How ironic, I thought
That such a moment of freedom
endlessly trapped,
Is still so free for the bird.
I was looking at videos of black holes and how someone on the edge of one appears to stop moving (like a pause button) to any observers, but to the person it is just a moment passing before they move on. But in that one moment, they will live forever.

MsAmendable Mar 2016
The bitterness of knowing
You do not deserve sadness,
As though pain were a prize
You have not earned, and yet
The knife in your heart, and life
Pouring from your eyes to this page
Beg to differ,
But with a world that has earned sadness
And I, who has just stumbled blearily
across it, like a feast for my hungry soul,
Stay bitterly and undeserving,
Guilty for tears
Without reason or right; a smile
Is the simplest lie, but cloying
When you have no right to be hurt
It is unbearable, that smile
That rests on my unbearable lips

We live in our soul,
Our hope makes us whole
We grow with our mind,

We bleed from our skin
But die from within
We came into light,
Then we fade into night
We may drift apart,
But love with our heart
..
And we are the people
We change, and are equal
We learn, love and live
We cry, hurt and forgive.
And forever, as we strive
We are the humans,
We will survive.

Headaches.
MsAmendable Jun 2015
I like to get truely confused at the world.
At all the finicky things we avoid thinking about.
Like exactly how big the universe is,
Forever is hard to understand.
Or life.
Yes, life.
Not the meaning of it,
That's like 'what's the meaning of light?'
It just is.
No, I mean how.
How do plants grow?
That is, physically change size
What was before the big bang?
Or how aliens are like a cat
Well, Schrödinger's cat
See the universe is so big
They MUST exist!
But... At the same time, not at all.
Huh.
Also, what do things go 'boom'
Could animals swim inside the earth?
Is it possible to bend forces (like gravity)?
Yea, a lot of spacey questions.
Do we only think animals see black and white,
not just a different spectrum?

Sigh. I'll stop now.
Brain freeze.
Eh not really a poem but who cares. You, reader, yes you, don't think too hard about any of the space ones. Yes, its different from just reading.

When there is no light to find,
How could they see my broken heart?
Or ease my lonely mind.

I am no light, oh not me
Though maybe once before,
I am adrift on a stormy sea
Beyond the darkest shore

Though chilly is my gentle dark,
It will not burn or scold.
And softly to my tender heart
It's cold smooth hand takes hold

Here, I get by quite well
Adrift with aimless ease,
My sweet voice joins the muted bell,
I dance with whispers in the breeze

The clear around lit candle wicks

When the sky seemed to be falling,
And rolled around the swirling grey fog,
I stepped out with my eyes, and saw
The most hopeful green peeking from the mud,

The dark soil ready to take in more life,
It smelled alive, the rain tasted like hope
And that small green became the world
When I smiled at it, and it smiled back.

Cease, but we
Never realized that for all we go up

Still whispered in my ear and

Words and pictures, pictures and words
They burn, churn, yearn
They flow over me, smoothing and
scraping my edges like pebbles in a stream
In my dreams,
Words.
I sleep with my notebook
To write the weird, wacky words
Washing through my pebbles of a mind
Late at night, I write
Not quite under the stars, away too far,
Since when has my window been too far?
Since I keep my blinds shut in the morning
I'm mourning, words
Tempt, taunt, taint, tease
Write, observe, release
Pouring through pen ink on pages to touch
Maybe your heart, and maybe your dreams
Words; more than letters
Could ever hope to be
I found this in a notebook I lost a year or two ago, and decided to post it (:

Where the bottle broke;

And no matter that they gleam like stars,
Because the edges are sharp,
And could cut your fingers,
And leave you so brilliantly broken;

And yet I still found you
Crouched beside glass like crushed diamonds
With thick beads rolling down your fingertips
Gleaming impossibly red like rubies
On crystal edges
With no regrets or regards
And I can't say I blame you.
