Evanescent Dreams
Àŧùl Mar 2019
All the times I loved in the past,
They now seem ephemeral,
Moving on always seemed impossible,
However, the word impossible,
Itself says, I'm possible!
My failures were evanescent dreams,
Were they not?

All The Best Deepu!
Àŧùl Feb 2019
May your coming wedding be smooth,
There's nothing left for you to prove,
You're a gem for your parents,
A cousin brother for me,
Younger you're an inspiration,
I shall never forget how you played,
The smoky lorry seems like yesterday.

I looked at you, babe,
Only to dream about it,
Oh! I experienced it.

In the dream that I was having,
I was happily skiing,
Skiing down the valley.

Down the smooth bathykolpian valley,
I dreamt that I was falling freely.
I went around the navel to *** down under.

I Love You Truly
Àŧùl Feb 2019
You impressed me effortlessly,
I love you truly and crazily.

You looked at me beautifully,
I fell further in love for you deeply.

You have goodness truthfully,
I shall never lose my faith crazily.

You give me patience truly,
I am not saying this flirtatiously.

You stand these testing times strongly,
I get pulled towards you simply.

You may take your time pondering carefully,
I stand here, waiting for you eternally.

You know that you live gracefully,
I shall make you realize that you live gorgeously.

Apostrophe Apocalypse
Àŧùl Feb 2019
You can experience it
Coming from most of
The writers around the
Block of Writers Block
Only to be saved by the
Bunch of Writers from
The Writers' Block.

They can call you names,
Ranging from A ******
To A Grammar ****.
But don't be put off,
Don't be put out,
Just hold on.
Hold your ground.

You might have OCD,
The Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,
Don't worry - just channel it well.
Channel it well and play your tunes,
Don't worry about the runes,
They will be all covered with ink.
Yes, the electronic ink.

For all eternity, they say,
You can never achieve perfection,
And it should not concern you.
Just remember your wordlust,
Coin new and better words,
Just play your sweet lute.
Yes, you are so cute.

"What's so cataclysmic about the apostrophe?"
You asked me,
And legitimately so.
It's the difference 'tween us,
Perfection and poets,
Godliness and humaneness.
Divinity and profanity.

"Yes, perfection is sacrilege,"
I say, "Perfection is an ambition,"
"Of humanity and nature."
I take a deep breath before saying,
"In the knowledge available,"
"It's just a figment."
You ask me, "Where is it located?"

I say:
Find it 'fore some letters,
You can find it afta' some letters,
Lockin'n'poppin words together,
The apostrophe is so savoury & flexible
I just hope that I never become,
A Grammar Apostate -
I'll rather be ill instead.

Your Deceiving Eyes
Àŧùl Feb 2019
I looked into your eyes,
Hoping these to be true,
What I didn't see were lies.

I dreamt about you, please,
Holy Love of mine were you,
Who new loves you better than me?

Innocent they look as pure as ice,
Hopping without any rue,
When did I not see the lies?

I hoped for it to sustain long,
Hell, I didn't know they'd rust,
Where should I sing my swansong?

I trusted your romantic promise,
How you broke my trust,
Why these deceiving eyes?

I now suspect that you lie,
Hey, you can't cheat on me,
Whom new did you learn to love?

Remember, Remember
Àŧùl Jan 2019
Remember it always, The Bhagwad Gita already prescribed these four broad methods of worship:
1. Idolworshipping: Simple and sweet. Easy to decorate, imagine and connect with the PäräBrähmä. It promotes arts and literature.
2. Non-idolworshipping: These forms of worship don't require any stone or materialistic idols to connect with PäräBrähmä. It's also very easy to misinterpret.
3. Agnosticism: Here people are not concerned about PäräBrähmä as such but their refuting the existence of Brähmā is making them Hïnđūs.
4. Atheism: These people are fed up with the popular concept of PäräBrähmä because there's no point that they can see is favourable for them.
In Bhāgwäđ Gītā, Präbhü Śrī Kṛṣṇä lays down a very simple explanation of how all of the above ultimately lead to The PäräBrähmä.

Her Eyes

And I let them rhyme,
I write these words of mine,
Rhyme into a sweet poem divine.

When she blinks her eyes,

Black as night is her iris,
I look at her eyes with awe,
Hers - the most beautiful eyes.

From The Oblivion
Àŧùl Dec 2018
Things are hard in this fazy
Coz this fantasy is hazy
The love I express is crazy
More because I didn't get any of it razy
And now I get pulled being so lazy
The whole world seems so glazy
Oh, I'm trapped here - this place is mazy!

But I shall now be pacjent
Coz this love is so true
The way she's here, she'll stay
More because she loves me realnie
And now I hope that it blooms
My world and her world too
Oh, I want her here - her love is my Zahir!

My lover is very plochy
Coz she's very simple
The ideal match I've wanted
More because she's so wozniacki
And now I know what love is
My Lover loves me too
Oh, I have her now - I want her forever!
Polski language words:
fazy: phase
razy: number of times
pacjent: patient
realnie: really, indeed
plochy: shy
wozniacki: intellectual

Into The Oblivion
Àŧùl Dec 2018
Back at a time
I met with a serious accident
No major bones fractured
Just intracranial injuries
And
The impact
Continues even now

Now in my PhD
I read a lot of scientific stuff
Memorize little
Reproduce lesser
And
Get myself
Even lesser marks

7th of May in 2010
Was the date unfortunate
On which I met
With the accident
And
Rode myself
Into The Oblivion

MY MOTHER
Àŧùl Oct 2018
My Progenitor along my Father,
She loves me as if She'll take care,
Of me and my needs today & forever.

My Mother is an inspiration for me,
She has tasted success after toiling for it,
Harder in nights than in days totally.

My studies were Her priority in my school days,
She is no different in these different college days,
Never does She let her mind divert Her gaze.

My language skills, I inherited from Herself,
She taught me Hindi, English & Kannada,
I learnt and honed the Sanskrit by myself.

My German & French are elementary, but,
She never discourages me or calls my efforts,
To learn them both, with passing time, rudimentary.

My health has been Her top priority,
She ignored Her own & there was a difficulty,
Her knees gave away and needed to be replaced.

My Father loves me too but my Mother is special,
She left Her beloved Karnataka to marry my father,
Now She looks after my Father as I am alright.

I am lucky, very lucky indeed, that I have them,
She is a living legend married to Another,
This poem is more about Her and a bit about my caring father too.

My Mother taught me how to speak,
How to speak and how to live, not just once,
But along my Father, she taught it all twice.

My Mother, along my Father, defines God,
Probably this is the case with everybody,
But few realise it when Death makes a ****.

I have seen her weeping for me when I was unwell,
Now it's my obligatory duty apart from a natural one,
Her I shall make proud along with my father, not just once but always.
A slam poem that I wrote on 25 October 2018.

What's In A Name
Àŧùl Oct 2018
6:30 PM 15/10/18 slam poem
"What's her name?" An excited voice whispered.
My benchmate asked me,
Just as the new girl entered,
With all her glowing ebony beauty.

I thought about something,
Ignored him and simply so,
Continuing my reading of the drama.

He prodded on like a nagging child,
"Tell me, Atul, what's her name?
Who's that **** girl?"

His whisper was loud enough now,
The girl heard it as she climbed,
Climbed higher on the back seats and how.

I glared at my benchmate,
In disappointment & disgust,
It was him who I had befriended.

'Him! I befriended him!! Out of them all!!!'
I thought about my vulnerability in our society,
But I did not react to him out of that anger.

I just said, "What's in a name?"
He raised his eyebrows and moaned, "Huh?"
I said with mirth, "Yes! Someone like you will get her renamed!"

Àŧùl Sep 2018
I do not want to pile on,
But I am in sweet pain,
Just below the belt...

Pain due to nervousness,
My dad was unwell,
He got successfully operated...

He's my dear guardian Angel,
Sustained injury whilst protecting me,
I escaped with minor gashes.

He's undoubtedly the best father,
There may be any trouble on me,
But he's always standing on guard.

I strive to make my father feel proud,
And though I often fail to make him feel so,
I shall not give up hope that I shall make him feel proud.

Right now,
I am in pain,
I am unable to urinate.

But this pain is bearable,
I shall now help him recover,
My life is his blessings all over.
Maybe due to the subconscious tension about my father's recent surgery, I am unable to urinate after the morning bath but it will be alright.

Nothing scares me after my tete-a-tete with death for the 28 days in the comatose state and then the utterly painful but necessary physiotherapy. These bothersome little troubles are not something that I should be worried about now.

Happy days are here forever to stay,
Always by our side find them we may,
Parting ways is never a thing to say,
Practically we are fitting each day,
Yolk is this of ours, getting prepared.

Best of both worlds are we two,
Imagine a life together with me,
Rid yourself of that negativity,
This space here is only for our love,
Happiness will always come on,
Delayed it may be but surely it comes,
Always remember that I'm here,
You wanted a mother again, I'm here as your lover.

Thanks for sharing your life with me,
Over the decades of my caring, healthier you will be.

Yes, we shall complete each other,
Of phoenixes, you will be a mother,
Up next is just our Love & only Love.

Part ways never with me,
Overcome health issues,
Overcome them with me,
Just absorb all of my love,
And just imagine my Love.

My Best Friend, My Pooh
Àŧùl Jun 2018
I never had a best friend in my life till I met you,
All I had were normal friends who were not close,
Or fake lovers.

The most genuine friend I have is none other than you,
I consider it lucky that me as a best friend you chose,
Your love is as scented as a rose.

And I will not ever disappoint you my friend,
I am learning youthful ways from you now,
Of our friendship there lies not at all an end,
They will notice us only getting closer & how.

For you, My Pooh, I write this poem as I am really happy today remembering all the good times that we are spending together.

Yes, I am possessive and selfish when I ask you solely and solemnly for myself,
Not because I am negative, but more so because I am hopeful that our sun will shine,
Your happiness is my main motive as I motivate you to stay strong for yourself,
Not because I will gain something out of it but as you are going to be happy in future.

In you I have seen an Angel,
So helpful and kind you are,
Motherly care for future family,
Now I conclude this post buddy.

If I were a nursing wizard,
I will wave a hand to heal you.

If I were a guard wizard,
You will not be afraid of any lizard.

If I were a romantic wizard,
I will write the sweetest words you want to read.

If I were a Godly wizard,
I will bring back your Consciousness.

If I were a complete wizard,
You will not be so sad.

But you are sad as I ain't a wizard,
Not even a professional success.

You are plighted with miseries,
Not filled with dreamy happiness.

Since I am not an older woman,
You can never aptly find your mother in me.

As you are sad now,
I feel so worthless.

But trust me, my Dear Future Wife,
I will definitely make it up to you.

I will pamper you like your mum,
But only if you feel my love, Dear.

First Own Residence
Àŧùl May 2018
For the first time in my life,
I now live in a home of my own,
Regardless of the financial constraints,
Sweet parents built this dwelling,
Then I also pumped some capital.

Of late, we sold our previous property,
Well, I planned & cracked the deal,
Now we have this new bigger home.

Regards to my parents are never going to be enough,
Especially when we went through my accident saga,
Salty moist memories do not follow me now,
Indian, this Anugraha looks so graceful,
Darkness of night fails to take away the sheen,
Enjoying my time here in the life,
Not forgetting who made this house a home,
Call them I do my sweet and kind parents,
Even the darkest memories seem to fade away.
Our new home is called Anugraha, a word that means grace.

I am very happy that we are now living in a home that is our own.

Before this, I lived in the NDRI Karnal campus in a rented accommodation.

The close-to-nature Government-funded National Dairy Research Institute campus I will dearly miss but I am really satisfied with this new place that I now call home and even my best friend and future wife Pooja Shah will have a leisurely home in future. I am very happy that I finally live in a home that I can call my own.

Why They Will Be Jealous
Àŧùl Mar 2018
A new kind of acrostic for my Pooja:

While observing this love of ours,
Over the time this world will be jealous.
Me you will always find by your side,
But we won't let 'em drain our hours,
Mine you are solely & I am only yours,
Over the decades, they will observe us,
We will rather enjoy our lovely showers.

Yes, my love, we are going to be happy,
Over the long time span of several years,
Under the blessings bestowed upon us,
Rose of our love has no thorns,
Up above into the bed of soft clouds,
Onto our heads from the divine mother,
Yes, my love, it'll be her blessing for us.

I love you and that's an irreversible fact,
Nostalgia of her loving caring nature is here,
Toss all the worry away into the water,
Onto the surface of an agitated stream,
Think of us both as the same entity,
Never fear the outcome of a nicely done job,
I am your friend and your mother.

Cool whispers will make their way,
Onto your ears they will make ways,
Medley of pop songs they will play,
Even though we will have differences,
My love you cherish, multiply & reflect,
Over the moonlit sky so dark blue,
Calling all the best caring careful souls.

We, you and me, are blessed to be together,
It's as if we were never different actually,
Let's not worry about the unknown future,
Let's just receive what comes with open arms,
Let's not fear anything that has not happened yet,
It's impractical to worry about the unknown,
What if we succeed should be our thought.

Because you love me like you have never loved,
And I love you exactly like you ever wanted,
Being together should be our foremost priority,
Yes, with each other we are creating magic,
But this is just a hint of our potential together,
And we are capable of a lot more after marriage,
Because you and I love each other so much.

Another thing about this love of ours,
A baby will come into your womb.

Longing
Àŧùl Feb 2018
I AM LONGING FOR YOUR LOVE
I was born with a morose luck.

Awnings of my eyelids contain it,
Meaning to contain the deluge.

Love me not with anything restricting you,
Onto my future, you should move,
Not carrying the baggage of your past,
Genteel breezes of your breath, me they heal,
Into the future you must step with me,
Not worrying about negative things,
Guest you be mine and just accompany me.

Few to wait are more years,
Over the long and lanky,
Rosy and sunny days.

Yes, only your love saves me,
On the days of loneliness,
Under the wicked sky,
Rugged are otherwise my feelings.

Lost in the past is my sweetheart,
Ostensible is my love for you,
Veering away from it you are,
Expecting I am this exclusivity.
I am longing for your love

Unsatisfied, although, you're definitely not.

Rosy nails of your hands, I will never forget,
Especially the skin on your beautiful hands.

Soft and tender are your thoughts,
Often you bring me to comfy slots.

How you own me is unknown to you,
Ears yours are so gorgeous & beautiful,
Awe-filled are my moments with you,
Violets and peaceful greens I love yours,
Even your tiniest responses are heart-rending,
Not just in the moment but for a lifetime,
Long lost lover from a past birth you are,
You are my eternal lover and my baby.

Helen of Troy
Àŧùl Jan 2018
No, I don't understand her...
Who was Helen of Troy...
Who exactly Helen was...
Or what was Troy...
An ancient Greek city...
Was Helen a citizen of that city?
Or maybe she was not...

They also mention Troy to be a Hero...
A Hero from Greece...
Was Helen of Troy a bacteria then!?!
Did she live inside Troy's bowels!?!
So unique!
They fought over a bacteria!
Killed so many for a bacteria then!

Superman Returns & Farts
Àŧùl Jan 2018
If Superman farts
And
His cape is set afloat
Then it is appropriate
For Indians to sing
The retro Bollywood
Peppy number:
"Hawa Mein Udta Jaaye
Tera Laal Dupatta Malmal Ka
** Tera Laal Dupatta Malmal Ka!
** Ji! ** Ji!"

As the song means:
*"It flutters in the wind,
Your red muslin scarf,
Oh your red muslin scarf!
Oh yeah! Oh yeah!!"
Inspired by an Indian Hindi language joke

Good Morning
Àŧùl Jan 2018
This morning calls out to me
and it tells me that the day,
It is going to be a good one
as with all the days with you.

Nirvana
Àŧùl Jan 2018
Loving you I discovered myself,
Loving you I've attained Nirvaṇa.
Loving you I've defined my Karma,
Loving you I've adopted my Dharma,
Loving you I've found my identity,
Loving you I've moulded my life,
Loving you I've known myself.

Loving you is my sole mission,
Loving you is my only passion,
Loving you is my raging fashion,
Loving you is my loyalty creation,
Loving you is my full regression,
Loving you is my lonely lotion,
Loving you is my fuller ration.

Loving you never was a regret,
Loving you I have recounted it all,
Loving you is a thing I always knew.
This one is for you, my darling best friend Pooh Bear, like all other poems of mine.

Regression: Past life regression, recounting one's previous birth.

Counting Blessings
Àŧùl Dec 2017
Try to count her blessings in your life and even your hair strands will be so few,
Just accept me as a worldly avatar of hers and each moment will only be so new.

Perfect Love
Àŧùl Dec 2017
His mother was cheated by his father,
Then his mother spent her life in resentment,
And he was deprived of his mother's love.

But then ultimately he found his lover,
The one who gave his life a new contentment,
And she gave his life the much needed love.

He ultimately gained the love of his life,
She regained her mother's spiritual love,
And it was a win-win situation for them both.
