Changes are coming
Times will be changing also
How is your timing?

Brian Hill - 2019#106
Inspired by my changing life...
Be prepared for the life changes.
Good, bad, planned,, unplanned.
Be ready to jump the gap!

The meaning of chaos is a ”Disordered State”
Topsy and Turvy and somewhat irate

If your life is in chaos, it's by your own choice
Why did you pick it, you do have a voice

To be in that state takes its toll, I am sure
To come out of your chaos, will take a detour

Go ahead and try it, you may be suprised
Life without chaos is what is advised

It's yours to make....

In life, there are always choices to make
To turn events into wants and desires
To turn dreams into reality
To turn reality into your space
To make your space,
Well,
Your space....

Get your bite out of life
Take the biggest and baddest bite
Take a bite soooo big that people notice
People will want to join you with your bite
Your bite...
Not there bite,
Your bite...
Do you want to share
Your bite?

Open up your mind
Open up and decide
What space
What bite
What reality
Just What
Do
You Want....!

Brian Hill - 2019#112
Inspired by choices to bite....
Choices are a gift to us all
Are we making them
Are we getting our bite out of life

thoughts of your beautiful face penetrate my mind
how can the experience of that moment be genuine
a meeting with so much circumstance
a crossing of paths so real and so seamless
somedays just reach unheard of results
thank you for being there on that day...

The sun is gone now, where has it been
I wonder if it will ever come back again

The world is changing and we don't know why
Was it that storm that blew out the sky

The rain and winds blew in massive waves
The climate changed in what seemed like days

The ice caps melted so very, very fast
The oceans rose and the water amassed

We are lost and the world is broken today
Warnings were there but we thought it cliche

This could happen, you bet it could
Climate change is here and it's not for the good

how often do clouds shadow your thoughts
floating in and around creating illusions
fantasies so real, so intense, but ever-changing
life occurs in those moments....

Brian Hill - 2020 # 69
Bhill Jun 2019
The clouds of life are many, they come to change your day
They float around as if invited, creating chaos, and that's not okay
The storms, they bring, can be cleansing, if that's the way you feel
Allowing the storm, to run its course, will often help you heal

Clouds of life, are really not different, as clouds creating weather all around
From clear sky to cloudy, they're here and then gone, leaving marks that are often profound...

Brian Hill - 2019#133
Sometimes the words fall on the page and all we have to do is arrange them...
Bhill Sep 2019
There are clouds in life and we all take a turn
They come from a place that helps us all learn
Just take on that cloud and acknowledge it's there
Do not dismiss it when it strikes as it will come, so unaware

The clouds we detect will be of all shapes and meanings
Just know that there and except some cloud teachings
We learn as we grow and we learn from just doing
The clouds in our life can keep us improving....

Brian Hill - 2019 # 242
Life clouds aren't always dark...
Bhill Mar 2020
rolling and floating along the skyline are the clouds of the day
clouds that can bring life to the earth below
clouds that silently, glide through your line of sight
clouds that rely on winds to empower them
clouds that will soon be observed by another

It is the way you look at me
It is the way you share your thoughts
It is the way you understand my words
Could it be, it just might be, it could be love
Is it the way you see things
Is it the way that you move me
Is it the things you do to me
It just might be, it could be love
The things I see in you
The things I do because of you
The things I share with you
It could be love
The wants and wishes we both share
The wants and wishes we both have
The wants and wishes we both have found
It is LOVE
I LOVE YOU....

Bhill Sep 2019
Suddenly the ridge top was glowing
The lightning glittered the sky with sudden bursts
Sudden bursts that let you sneak a peek as to what was coming
What was coming appeared to be a mountain top assault
Assaulting us visually with dancing lights and rolling outcries
Outcries of thunderous clatters far in the distance
How far away was this commotion
Count it down
One one thousand, two one thousand

Brian Hill - # 231

Have you started to wake up
Pour yourself a cup

Pour yourself a cup of Joe
Put yourself on the alert

Do you prefer milk or cream
I enjoy mine black

Oh,  Good Morning...

This mornings moon was just about ready to bid the night sky goodbye
It's crescent beauty hanging on just long enough to spark the question why

Good morning, as I gaze upon its beauty and question its very existence
It disappears, on its way to a different skyspace, at a great distance

This thought is overwhelming, the moon never realizes daytime gazes
It skirts around the earth, being seen at night in its different phases

The beauty it has shared for years and years, just seems to happen
Without it, the night sky, would be just so, ... Blacken

Brian Hill - 2019#104

suddenly, up out from his hole, the lizard crawled
crawled and wriggled over the dirt searching for it's prey
the prey that would sustain him for the rest of his life
he didn't know that it would be his final meal
he didn't know that behind that cactus stood a roadrunner
a roadrunner, who delights in savory lizard treats right from the desert floor
he had no chance...
the cycle of life circles on as the roadrunner scurries away with the lizard dangling from its beak

beautiful darkness stretched ahead of Its journey
the more the anguish and misery fell upon It, the better It felt

It was not ready for the light...

The angst and wonderment took over my exhaustion
The climb was currently a very near memory

”Demon be-GONE” I repeated to myself
I can do this...!

When the desert gets rain, it wants to dress up
Their colors abound in the brightest of shade cups

The reds, pinks, and blues are showing off they're flair
Their beauty will amaze you, as you seek them with care

Some are hidden from view by their larger, taller friend
Their color will call out, cause they don't want to blend

You will not be disappointed with what your eyes see
Go out to the desert and see what can be...

The morning rain was only a colorful mist
Misty red, shimmering, with the morning sunrise in the background
Sunrise showing sure telltale signs of the coming storm
Winds were beginning to push the clouds along the tops of the mountains
Pushing them faster and faster towards us
You could see the mist changing
Turning into distant sky waterfalls that were more beautiful then scary
Winds were becoming more and more harsh
Strong winds, that now had a definite feel swooshing along for the ride
Bringing the rain with a swiftness that only desert winds can bring
The rain began with a most unworldly force
Dropping water from those once beautiful colored clouds
Dropping so much water...
Then it was done
The winds kept the clouds moving along to threaten others in its path....
God I love the desert!

Brian Hill - 2019 # 159
Desert storms bring beauty and violence at the same time...
Bhill Jun 2019
As we roam about the desert we learn to see what's there
The rocks, the dirt, the cactus, and the wildly blue sky glare

The creatures of this land can take on the heat that's here in stride
Turtles, snakes, and all the lizards take it on, with desert pride

Checking out the rock formations, that took many, many years
Shapes and colors, of these rocks, reflect their beginning, it appears

Reflecting for a minute, while gazing upon this land
Will open up your mind and give you much more than you planned

The desert, as we know it, can be a hostile place for sure
Wonderfully, beautiful and hostile, makes it mystical and so pure...

Cactus plants are amazing, in oh, so many ways
They live on little water, in fact, they can go for days

The protection they have is ruthless, with thorns as large as life
Those thorns can stick and tear you, as of they were a knife

When given time and proper rain, the bloom they share is gorgeous
Colors coming, from such a plant, is like an optical chorus

The Joshua and the Prickly, even the Barbary fig
All have blooms that will blow your mind, but it's just the deserts gig...

Brian Hill - 2019#121

Rewrite of earlier words
Did it...

Wait, what, -- what was that
Did you say no...
Did I hear you right
How can you say that
I don't understand
I believe I'm shaking with fright

I need your help
Can't do it alone, what am I to do
I'm not afraid, Maybe I can
I need a different view

I'll look at this with different eyes and go at it with care
Do it myself, never look back, and finish with my flair...

Oh, the moon is at it again
What, you ask
It’s hanging around in its lofty space
Its place in the sky above us
Above us gleaming in whiteness, with the desert sky being its playground
The whiteness is disrupting the dark desert sky with uncanny brilliance
Brilliance so vibrant, and, well, bright and full
Its fullness outshines all other objects near its path
All other heavenly partners take second place when the moon is in this phase

Ahhhhh, I love this place called the desert...

the hawk waited for his meal while resting atop the fence post
gazing intensely at the old dirt road for activity
the storm, that just passed, left a muddy mess for his prey to splash in
suddenly, from under the gate, he saw movement
a gesture so slight and insignificant that only a hawk's sharp eyes could see
and see it, he does
slowly, ever so slowly, he begins a slow, engineered glide, from the post top
swooping in to gracefully capture his target
dinner is served...!
