cover me in darkness
and feed my despair.

your single-mindedness
numbs my wretched life
and amplifies the longing.

to beautiful places
and unfulfilled dreams.

you are the gateway
for my soul.

I’m searching
for words.

Words
explaining me.

Me
and those feelings.

Feelings
of love and fear.

Fear
of losing you.

You,
whom I adore.

Adore
with all I have.

If you fall,
   I will help you up.

If you lose your way,
   I will guide you back.

But the choices

Still warm from you, I shiver
because I see you
sleeping next to me
and crave back the night.

But Eos heralds
in her fairest gown
a new day that elevates
nightly passion to a dream.

Your breath is calm
and your ***** hardly moves
when I wake you with kisses
across your silken skin.

You smile for the gods
and I lower my gaze
to elude what robs my senses
but then your lips give life to mine.

Locked in embrace
you whisper fondly – “My Love”.

You mind your steps
   after you've stumbled.
You miss your home
   after you’ve left it.
You value your health
   after you’ve been sick.

But you can’t enjoy life
   after you died.

We talk about change,
but expect others to do it.
We talk about fake news,
   but keep reading it.
We talk about democracy,
but don't listen to the people.
We talk about lies,
   but keep believing them.
We talk about tolerance,
   but suppress opinions.
We talk about human rights,
   but torture and ****.
We talk about privacy,
   but eavesdrop on all communication.
We talk about freedom,
   but fight endless wars.
We talk about hypocrisy,
   but are the biggest hypocrites.
We talk about so many things,
   but not what really matters.

Stop talking,
   start acting!

Maybe.
Next time you are upset about something, look into the mirror.

You took my hope
to find the right path.

You tormented me
denied me a look at life
to entertain Thanatos.

**** you and your gods
who feed on misery.

You took my life
even before I woke.

... I may calm my fear
and unseen horror
with words light and clear.

... I may ease my pain
and tend gaping wounds
with verses of healing rain.

... I may release my rage
and spark fiery storms
of rhymes that burn the page.

And maybe, one day
I write about love's joy
in a dazzling lyric play.
Let it all out. One day I may find better words.

I listen to what you have to say
         (ignoring every part of it)
And calmly nod agreement
         (while furiously screaming disapproval)

I show you my admiration
         (loathing every moment)
And promise loyalty
         (faked by hatred)

I’m so grateful for what you made me
         (a vile shattered soul)

An Orwellian term
used by self-righteous hypocrites
hiding behind a cloak of morality.

Wake up.

Political correctness controls the narrative
by shaming and suppressing.

It forces upon us
the “one true” ideological orthodoxy.

It eliminates decent and
makes people lie and self-censor their words.

Stand up.

We must allow others to speak
and voice their thoughts.

Some might be stupid,
so let’s expose their faults.

Some might be outrageous,
so let’s pause and defuse.

Some might be hurtful and mean
so let’s self-reflect and steel ourselves.

Speak up.

Political correctness leads to sameness
contrary to the individualism
it pretends to protect.

It is a road into slavery.
First the slavery of your mind
and later slavery of your body.
Open dialog and discourse instead of laws and restrictions which put chains around words.

We tend to hide
our broken self’s
and look ashamed
from obvious flaws.

But what if you change
your point of view?

And wear those cracks
like precious scars.
Not with pride, but
simple confidence.

I thought
   I could change the world
   and leave a mark,
but I failed.

I thought
   I could excel at work

I thought

but I failed.

Now there’s nothing left

Hey, that doesn’t rhyme,
what a ******* waste of time.

Do I really have to read this?
I don’t care about your mental fizz.

And btw, no one writes those anymore
only lonely people who hide indoor.

Honestly, what does this actually mean?
I prefer to watch a social media stream.

So, you better stop being a fool
and we might end to ridicule.
Of course that's only one side of the picture. There's lots of positive feedback too. Especially on this site. So don't stop writing.

Poems are like a safety relief valve.

In them we can say
what we would never say aloud.

In them we can
  curse,
    cry,
      love,
        hate,
          destroy,
            and create.

All those feelings and actions
we never show in real.

Poems are like a safety relief valve
and they are saving lives.
