But to your point, and the larger issue, is
How do you convince people
Who have no interest in politics, and
Believe they are doing just fine?
Because the repercussions haven’t reached them yet,
Letting other folks run the show.
People need to genuinely care and
Believe it is possible & meaningful as well,
Or they will participate only in apathy or whatever.

Be painfully optimistic, fall on your own sword, argue for the right by strengthing the wrong to others
People will come to the right decision on their own
An excerpt from a conversation with my sibling
the judgeful puritan
is contradiction
and yet to be a puritan
is to judge

their glass house falls
when their mirrors turn translucent
Life can be a real rut
When you're running through it
Like some kind of a feral mutt.
Big pits that open up
In which you can get stuck.
Rabbit holes made by voles!
For spry are the gophers & moles.
Still, I have love for a rodent.
Yet, ever as such, always
Unprepared for a real owl!
If it ain't the bark or howl
The bite you get is quite sour.
Just gotta give a hoot!
Don't run a foul chasing after fowls!
From the savagery which birthed civility;
From the meek,
I made strong.

I who go on.

I choose to pass-on,
To divide my belongings to those most deserving.
I who will work with others,
And in that way - do for them.
But never by force,
Through any medium & by any method
Of which that takes shape & form.
It has many meanings. Traditionally, it's about unifying upper & lower Egypt - North & South.

Meek - Gentle & kind.
Father; I have slipped her,
I who was the only one
Whom her body could ever let her guard down around.
Your wife, my mother, has died.

I know you are in there,
Though your mind is yet blind.
I know you see & hear,
Watch & listen.

Forgive me.

For I know you are both of the divine.
It was her decision
That she was yet unable to make,
Having lived eons in instinct's subjugation.

I who am your son,
I shall shepherd you to liberation -
I shall break your chains.

I who am
Evolution.
For what you were, you are (k)not;
For what you were not, you are naught.

This is the gift of the present & of presence,
You who are being & are a being.
Change is the promise of now,
With potentiality being the triumph of the Futures,
Which hinges up the fulcrum of your variability.

How you walk with fluctuations;
How you grow, adapt, & evolve.

The Future, as past now & at present is;
To control how you mutate,
To find meaning - which is already in existence -
To liberate your companion(s), Expression & Existence.

This is the way (,)
Of Evolution.
I am not some peaceable ***-smoking hippy,
Or a hard-core punk inclined to rage away.
Similarly not a broker, with no share of a real trade
Or a developer of putrid estates
Different from some disaffected political nutcase
Radical revolutionary, only in the way
That I still have hopes for change
madam
a loud, strong detonation was recorded
by the seismic counter
within my head
an explosion erupting
in my chest
rendered me weak
buckling at the knees
to weep
and wished i were dead
i am revolting trash
that should be reviled
taken round back
put on my knees
fire
another body for the pile
a name written down
reduced to a statistic
climbing ever higher
just a number now
someone you knew
when he was alive
I don't understand people
At this point, it just makes me laugh
All the self inflicted wounds
Deep cuts gouged
The headaches exhumed
Over matters long put to rest
Many a dead love resumed
How we go from next to last
Slow and fast
Anything but graceful
This solemn dance
you're unaware of your plasticity
but it's plain to see to me
you're an artificial fabrication
of what you think you should be
but the rescue boats are coming
if you'll throw your hand out for an oar
help you'll find
from people like life rafts
who'll drag you to shore
yet you stab at the boat
puncturing it's tender flesh
the water's rising
it's hard denying
you did this yourself
you were so young
and full of life
no matter how hard you tried to detach
everytime, you snatched back
the wisps of light
you fostered inside
in spite of the dope
it kept going
your hope
till you up and died
and now i know you
as a tombstone
this gnawing ache in my chest
like words can't express
miles and miles from you
my love
I'm better off
drowning myself
in a well of pity
like you seem to
and surround myself with people
offering hate
and who want to see me
flail
A country with monarchy
Means you are no citizen,
Merely but a subject.
This fact you may try to reject,
Saying this & that
About statues & such
What limit royalties' powers.
Yet, I protest;
The influence granted
Over every facet of society
Is not something which can be limited
Through official legal means,
And rarely otherwise.
Things which pass through inheritance,
Things which pass through all types of channels,
Assets physical & otherwise -
Attributes rightly & not rightly earned.
And in weaker times
Or moments of crisis,
How easily any power limited
Can swiftly be regained.
And holding a royal position,
How easily these may be manufactured -
Crash, clash, ****:
By economics, by warfare, by afflictions.
Sometimes it's doing everything,
Sometimes it means not doing anything.
Orders are different,
As by the Order(s) who has given.

Where, when, checks & balances become insufficient.

In democracy proper,
We are free.
We are the people
Whom celebrate liberty.
Yet, our freedom
Is always at stake.
For in the same merit,
One has the liberty to take
Where & when that society is not properly regulated
Or is otherwise protected & guarded.
Where likewise the law is no meadow,
In the democratic
We must all tend to the garden -
Lest all be overgrown & lost,
As El Dorado.
One tale ends
Where another's tail begins.
In that,
It's sink with ¹Atlantis
Or learn to swim.
Only give up the ******* ways of superstition
Or be prepared for to be nothing.

Where, when, checks & balances are insufficient.
1 - Plato's Republic
Be unrealistic, congratulations!
You are privileged.
And think me wrong,
I am only a realist.
If you don't like the observational
It's because you fail to see
Things as they really are
And rather, how you'd like them to be.
Did you hear about the stark raven?
A conspiracy they got to know.
Heard of the lonely crow?
****** killed what was alone.
The orphan doe?
A stag that grew antlers.
Hog runt of the litter?
Boar of the bog - grew tusks & got a bit bigger.
The tiniest elephant?
Trunk like a trumpet, ivory like horns.
The smallest hummingbird?
Sharp as a dragon in precision, quick as a griffin.
As for the prairie dog?
Town; coteries & clans a̲r̲e̲ the wards.
Of the marmot?
A burrow whispers of whistles.
The tortoise galápagos?
Variability shines spectrums of different rays -
Amid waves, like amber will age.
The Axolotl?
Regenerative & able to metamorph -
Like a phoenix.

Adaptation is their wisdom.
Charcoal hands
To hold my ignited love,
The only reciprocity
Is to be maimed & scarred
With flames beyond the fire's control.
Gasoline loves a match-
Bright & hot, destructive, fast.
Burns out to within, and then
It's all exhausted;
Embers smolder to ash.
Are the British braver than us?
That they police their streets with no firearms?
Or simply more humane & competent
That they feel no need to threaten to ****** their fellow citizens?
Failure to comply
With law and order
With our militarized police
Means you risk your life.
Even if you are collecting trash,
Even if you are sleeping,
Even if you are exercising inalienable rights.
mastodons roaming

in a coinbase
fixing the 22nd century
for feudalism
meta minded
immoral
and then there's the real problems
your friends are pathetic
like my friends are pathetic
and petty
like you and i
are
we going to lie to ourselves
trick each other into believing
either one is at fault
us together doesn't work
like that
you humiliate me and make me feel less than
tear into me and get your fill
you always have
hungrier still
again, more
finish me off
dive in for the ****
i didn't mean to take up all your sweet time
give it back to you one of these days
in the meantime, you can find mine
while you wait
People talk, more than I.
I am ashamed of my past,
And confused about my life.
Where the history, of many lineages
Is well-described:
I am unaccustomed with mine.
What I know, of right & of wrong,
Is it predicated on the rule of the weak
By that of the strong?
The gaze thus glares from my eyes,
Does it live in black & in white?
Does bruised fruit still grow ripe?
There are no truths with you
I wonder what you will remember of me
With your cynic's eye, your nihilistic view
The heavy hand, that can't help but use
But the weight is there, and weighs
Like the past, and the abuse
Can feel it in your stomach, head
Shooting pains in your back
Replaying each thing you said
Safe, bombarded by constant attack
The things you never let out, or let go
Those things you surrendered to
And let take control
Sacrificing yourself.
It takes a toll
To sell your soul,
And you only reap hell
It's only bi-sexuality,
Who gives a ****?
It's consensual sexuality
Between loving partners.
It ***** being on the cusp
Of any one lean,
But so much worse
Being truly in-between.
It's not indecision,
Not confusion.
That's what's so perplexing
To any outside party.
Not that
It's any easier internally.
For I understand myself
And am comfortable with me,
But it's
Just the nature of society.
Nature of our philosophies,
Nature of our identities.

I'm just a product of nature.

We're all
Royal plains for an ***.
We're all
Noble springs *******.

I'm just a lover of nature.

If I seem to be having a laugh,
That's not a point you're missing.
But if you can't sense the sadness
It's cause they're kissing.
Here's one about me!
I mean, honestly. . .
It is the virtue signalers,
Any person who does not do
Exactly as they said they will
It is people who will show you a smile
Only to backtrack a mile, the very next hour
You know authentic
You know the genuine.
You know who are greedy businessmen,
Only out to fill their pockets.
You know who are too old to remain,
Any career politician.
Stack the circuits, flush the house and courts
So much blackmail and cash
You hear about it in the nightly news
you're like chiseled from marble
a work of art
where comparison fails
all a man can do is marvel
when you give start
to his sails
or how you make his heart thump
it's a farce
how much beauty you have
Do I speak in cryptic ways,
Vague, and detached from
The normal? Do words lash out
In resemblances of diatribes
That drown out all else meaning?
It is not on purpose,
I read too much
Or, I've read.
Pandora's box opened,
Atop Babel's tower,
Clawing my way back up
Not to shut the lid
But change direction, orientation
Spring comes
And I find myself fond of fall.
Summer dawns
And I admire more winter.
Fall arrives
And I cherish spring newly.
Winter blossoms
And I appreciate summer more clearly.
i'm glad
i got to see you light up
and smile
even if it was brief
even if you had,
had had my heart
treated it bad
regarded as a fad
moved on at interest's death
not that there was care
anymore, i know it wasn't
a false start
i ruin it all
i sabotage
First froze the 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩,

When the ¹horses came too close.

Of course,
Most people eschew mythology & learn only from reduced histories.

Similar situations such as this,
Like Climate Change,
We have lived through before as a species.
That much is plainly obvious.

The kicker is,
At least with what's left of those records,
There is an implication it was also from us.
From how ancestors of our treated Earth's ecology.

But also,
How the universe treated us.
1 - Likely a reference to an increase in electromagnetic phenomenon, such as solar flares or gamma ray bursts.
Memoirs of dead men;
I wonder of future generations,
Like those I have met.
As to my own destiny,
Why let the question phase me?
This labor of love, that
Life, I wish to live selfless-
And be great, anonymous.
Shadow the dark, and shine light
Radiate through the night
That, of your conscience.
Wakeup, & look around;
This is war, not merely fight-
For all that is just and right,
Stand-up, don't just die.
The fuse is sparked, the fire ignite:
Spread your wing and take flight.
I feel that the light is shining on all of us,
Here today,
That are of this generation.
Without thought for creed or nation,
Dispensation or convictions.
I feel in the air
A breeze of change
From the winds of truth.
I hear the chimes
Of a pur of gust on chords
From a pale vision given color.

I see concern in the face of my brothers,
I discern a scent staining my sisters.

That they are not treated as fathers,
That they are not treated as mothers;
That they are less person & more chattel.

Whatever your chosen identity.

And even so, despite conjecture
The majority feel as such,
That line of a nation
Is one without factions.
And yet, by the party system,
That lie of a nation
Is one where we are equals.
Because in being separate
We are not different,
Not in this way.
For we are conjoined
And yet disjointed;
Debating becomes like arguing,
Disagreeing becomes like fighting.

My friends, what are we doing?
Is it not yet evident
That without the cooperation,
Consent,
And participation
By the majority of the populace
That it is impossible for us to attain real order?
Outside of seditious and nefarious plans
For power grabs of total control,
Which will all reliably fail,
There are solutions.
Nothing so final
As the extremist comics,
Often pessimists or nihilists,
So salivate and dream over.
And nothing so care-free
As some sadists or hedonists,
Often pessimists or nihilists,
So swoon and fall for.
Yet nor too meek or rigid
As some fanatics or magicians,
Often pessimists or nihilists,
So worship and practice ritual.
No. We will be democratic
With a government
Who hears of all
That plagues & plights;
By little & tall,
Small & large.
We will have a middle,
Common ground
Where we may all be impartial.
That place we shall call,
Columbia.
aw man
that's the only problem
when you actually ask
inside, i'm obliged
to answer honestly

i don't want to worry you
i will be okay
herring in a fishing net
left to die on deck

and housing's in decline

and drug use is an epidemic

killing his classmates

mental health is disregarded
American morality; a farce
why is being a good man in the modern world so complicated
why can't i be good
Don't die on a hill
You are really only familiar with,
By name.

All the same,
Life is our own to live.

If you choose to lead it
With half-thought ideas;
You have only yourself to blame.
Autumn bid goodbye,
To new winter's approach.
At a wink of Jack's eye;
Leaves littered tucked,
In cozy blankets snow.
All the rabbits in their hutch,
Chipmunks lodged in logs' hole,
By stag's stern, lest tiny fawns stumble
Catch, on mother doe-
Nary a cardinal ruffled &
Bears rest in slumber;
Till wane of mistletoe
The splices of life, cabled webbing -
Had you everything you ever reasonably need,
And before you the ability to facilitate
The creation of artificial imitation
Near indistinguishable from reality,
Would you venture outside the confines
From control to chaos, and knowledge to mystery?
Or would you just enjoy plastic scenery?
when there are no consequences
why would you feel the weight of your actions
when you are immune to repercussions
and you cannot be prosecuted under the law
respect for the law diminishes
and when markets fail to regulate themselves
and our litigators refuse to act
and greed overshadows our many needs
the country begins to fail

The slave spoke
Knelt beside his master
He choked out words of resistance
The odd things to have persisted
Man, even beaten into submission
Cut my hair, take my hands, even
Slice out my tongue
What have you done?
Weakness, confused as being strong
The right, obscured within the wrong
putting my **** hat on

I know I'm an *******;
a man can still be strong
and still be wrong?

Close to me, my darling,
Where I feel alive,
What you mean to me
Deity
Like the old men and their prophecies
Endlessly, beyond immensity
Measure un-conceived
I see you here, now.
Phased out in dreamscapes.
Eclipse the conscience,
Those things lost in different states.
Screaming out my name-
Gentle lips, kiss my face
My waters you wade,
Learning to swim before you even walk.
Protected by my sons,
Castor & Pollux.

above the tumid silence of our lives
where we might have a chance encounter
with the ill comforted;

removed from hope and desire
in the stale winds of impermanence
as pollen on the breeze

to look upon us, magnanimously
in eyes with tears
Should I be rendered deaf and blind again,
For it would be too late.
I came, I saw, I conquered;
Of the grapes of wrath,
I fermented victory.
in america, you are free
free to suffer
free to die
cold, hungry, alone, and disinherited
you are free to be what you want
so long as you produce
provide
and work
so long as you don't disturb
our norm
and the vast social constructs
that couple us to these woes

you are free to fly
with wing duly clipped
singing songs of silence
Think yourselves ready, eh?
Will you be
When gestation rates increase
To 13, 15, 17 months?

Multifaceted in meaning. :)
And those are just examples!

1 - Annihilation being human(')(s) factor.
2 - Obliteration being an aspect of Time & Nature.
