Nothing says summer like,
pails full of fresh berries
straight from the vine

Hey everyone from New York to California
Please, no more littering our land and seas
No more throwing out trash from your vehicles
or depositing your leftovers under trees
Help keep America beautiful Please!

My fantasy dream,
sailing upon ocean waves
and dancing with you

All the fairies from green valley congregated
by a stream flowing from a nearby hill
They are planning to throw a huge party
with gifts for ladybugs and daffodil,

"Welcoming spring's arrival in February,
Hidden surprises and mystic love potion
Super salads, cupcakes and green tea
Brings together everyone like an ocean"

In the neighboring woods come friends
Humble mommas and baby fawn
Ducklings going quack, quack, quack
following  moms across the lawn

Honeybees, bumblebees, and baby chicks
Lovely songbirds all singing of spring
and bunnies living down cranberry lane
In a sparkling castle made of bling

Enjoying love poetry and dancing all day
Everyone is having so much fun
Everyone is having a fabulous fun time,
blowing tons of kisses to the sun

When the grim reaper came to town,
All dressed in black
Because he doesn't like brown
By the time he was ready to say
"Goodbye and so long until next time"
He left many wearing a frown
Legend says, millions upon millions
By day and by night
He slung over his shoulder
and carried away
He came collecting his dues
Those dues which many didn't want to pay
The time period was 1918
When he came drinking a fifth
and wielding a scythe
Carrying away millions upon millions
and their young babies, too
When the show was finally over
The grim reaper took a bow
and introduced himself as "The Flu!"

These officers were true heroes
So very sad they are gone,
And now we are left to carry on
Without them

Sometimes when you're driving all alone,
And wondering where did this question originate
"Why did the chicken cross the road?"
Life feels so beautiful, life feels like a dream
Until an armadillo makes you scream

Where in pastures sunflowers flourish and grow
And herds of cattle can be heard deep and low
Where once natives lived and hunted with pride
There's still a prairie stretching far and wide

Partly filled with suburbs by those in high places
hiding behind masks and fake smiles on faces
Upon this land our nearest star shines so bright
And this forever night has changed with light

And those natives once in possession of this land
Some fought bravely with tomahawk in hand
Many were slain like slaying wild beasts of field
Cause they love the land and wouldn't yield

Now all their survivors were quickly led faraway
Traveling for many a full moon and a sad day
As some became deathly ill, laid down and died
Snowflakes continued to fall as many cried

From millions of species of flowers
Too so many types of trees,
Along with different nationalities
Of people,
Animals, birds and fish
Sometimes the magnificence of it all
Leaves me simply astonished

Recycle, recycle, recycle
Don't be a dumb dumb
Recycle your glass, paper,
plastic, and aluminum

Where is Autumn's chill?
Heat of summer lingers,
Like rings on my fingers

O' a happy little gnome family
enjoy sweet bread and butter
From behind a cascade of ivy
and a rainbow splash of color

Sailing across the southern skies
Tonight's crescent moon was so beautiful to see
And gazing upon this sight, I thought to myself
Is there anything more lovely?

Someone said you granted wishes
Well if you actually do
And you plan on giving me one or two
Could I please use just one
Whenever you deem possible

Well anyway here's my wish
and it's for a poet friend
I wish, I wish, I wish
I wish for David's poem to trend

Do whatever you can HP computer

When someone opened their mouth
And threw dirt upon You,
I wish to have seen their reaction

When You showed them exactly
the response of a beautiful human,
With a beautiful heart

Today scorching hot,
Ants wearing siver spacesuits
traversing the dune

Wizard, oh wizard to whom should I cry
If I cry not to thee
My friends all say, So disheartening
and certainly it is,  I so agree
Truly sad Wizard, when I should say
Our leaders should bow their head in shame
Yet, we know they aren't to blame,
knowing majority of homes,
businesses and government institutions
Have way much better security
than America's school system

News from the artic,
When 3 polar bears appear
Walrus disappear

Alas,
from this god
of night

a glowing light

Our world is in trouble, not just rising prices
Famine, drought, and Co2 polluted skies
Look close and quickly jump off the tracks
Our population has spread like wildfire
Quite frightening, with no solution in sight
How can we stop this crazy train tonight?
7.4 Billion and counting soon to be 9.8 B
As every celebrity is blessed with Twins
A phenomenonal occurence? a coincidence?
Oops double pleasure, Double mint gum?
Anyway we have questions with no answers
How is mother earth going to care for us?
Supply us with water,  food and clothing?
Can we vacuum the Co2, leaving our sky clean?
Will tomorrow be a nightmare or a Dream?
Oh poets, our future awaits to be seen..

Yesterday when passing by the cemetary
There was a small family gathering
maybe was a friend, a family member
Or an ancestor from long ago

Even though I can't really say for sure
Cause I actually don't know
Only was the way those few people
were holding each other close

There was a feeling like a butterfly
caught on a mild gentle breeze
And like those dandelion petals
flying unexpectedly past me

Was that moment on second glance
When I knew in depths my soul
Was someone they loved deeply
and didn't want to let go

A tiger cat and a black cat
were having an argument

They quarreled
For five minutes or longer
Fussing and fussing

Tiger cat's tail was swishing
Black cat's ears lying back

Finally,  tiger cat relented
And backed slowly away

I'm very pleased
cause I didn't want to see
either one get hurt

Words can be slippery don't you know
Like, alone in the dead of night
skating across black ice
Words sliding from one's mouth
before they realize
Words are powerful, words are strong
before you know it
You've said something wrong

what powers you've given
this glowing moon to possess

O' crescent moon, O' half moon
O' Supermoon
O' moon of July of romance


This moon has an amazing attraction
And leaves me feeling
More than a little obsessed

A midnight chase, a werewolf's face
O' this night, so bright
So bright


As a hunter's moon of silver
does shiver and quiver
Along banks of a mighty river

Wow! A beautiful sight to see
Extremely beautiful
New grass, gorgeous and green
This refreshing new grass
Has sprouted up overnight
So vibrant and rich,
What color!

When I can't take it anymore,
I'll be happy when death comes for me,
knocking at my door
For I don't wish to be older than old
crippled in a chair,
Waiting for someone to come,
And brush my hair

I'm thankful for gravity
and all that is
I'm thankful for flowers and trees,
Birds and bees, you and me
I'm thankful for poets
writing beautiful poetry,
I'm thankful for their pen
and their golden ink
I'm thankful for the soil,
and so much more
I'm thankful for gravity,
and all that is

And off we went,
To our castle of the northern wood
As my unicorn and I arrived
So astonished were we
Where all around beauty
was all we see
Jewels of a multi-faceted variety
Thus an enchanted forest
of shimmering color

City life surprises
every second
every day
alarms alarming,
lights flashing,
and sirens startling,
and sometimes
a Smile
A genuine smile
makes city life
surprises complete

Just imagine
if you were an apple
an orange, a banana,
a peach, a pear
All day you could hang
from a tree limb
And no one would care
Unless they were hungry

Five frogs hop along
And splash in a nearby pond,
after french kissing

Do you want to travel farther than you've ever been before,
And live a life worth living for?

An endless journey like you've never seen, enjoying every mile
Then just give a smile

And something more, just give like you've never given before
And help those who shower you with kindness

Just give a pretty flower, give a little love, a super special hug
And those who help you, give an extra dollar

And you know appreciating others isn't really all that hard
And can take you father than the brightest star

From across the desert come a caravan
of desperate, hungry souls

Their body so tired, their eyes so dry
They altogether break down and begin to cry

When looking upon a distant horizon
And see a shiny sparkling star glittering
for all to see

So close, yet so far

"Oh!, was one of those amazing Friday afternoons
When I was enjoying a steaming cup of coffee
Along with a biscotti and imagining a perfect world
You know one of those perfect worlds
that exists in other suburbs, and other zipcodes
So I turned to poetry my favorite past time
and hoped to find meaning there
And you know what they say, whoever they are
They all say this, everyone of them,
so I imagine there must be some truth to their words
, "Fate is in charge of our destinies"
So I read your words flying through the matrix
Each rhythmic line, each word, each syllable
And I thought, "Hey this poet is onto something"
As those poetic words stopped me in my tracks
and held me starstruck and spellbound
Stunned, Yes poet I was more than stunned
Kind of like when I rode across the southern sky
In a gold chariot pulled along by Sirius
Though now as I finish my coffee and biscotti
I can only  imagine and wonder

In the midst of this spectacular universe
where worlds revolve around Stars,
And comets circle entire solar systems
Where those stars softly hold their worlds
in a warm embrace and give light
Of luminous luminosity

Woe unto me I cry on my bed I'll die
I am naught but a minuscle speck of life,
As important as a common housefly
Well maybe not-- at least an annoying fly
can be a spider's next nourishong meal,
a spider's sweet delight

Wait, when those voices in your head
start saying these horrible things to you,
And saying you're  better off dead
Just remember you're more than nothing,
you mean something to someone,
And God loves you!

Wish I were an astronaut
on a spectacular spaceship,
somersaults and backflips
would be my thing,
photographing planets
earth, jupiter and mars,
saturn and venus
and admiring all the stars,
Then land on the moon
and fall in love
As I feel my mind expand,
listening to the music
of our universe

Almost thought I would never see rain ever again
Yet today the rain came down by buckets

What a spectacular sight!
How amazing!
Water falling from the sky!

And those clouds floating way up high
What a performance
How do they hold so much water?
Big clouds and Little clouds

Almost seems like an impossible illusion
One that can't be real

A small beetle sleeps
inside a white flower bloom,
sleeping so soundly

So I traveled to a curious shop, so quaint
At the farthest corner of the earth
Where they shop, genteel ladies that faint,
And then swoon at the drop of a hat

Upon arrival I turned the brass handle
Opened the door and peered inside
The place was well-lit by a single candle
Suddenly the door swung open wide

And yes, I was met by a charming smile
"It's a lovely day is it not, little miss?
Come my dear, shop, and stay a while"
Then whoosh! A long black cape!

Candle flickered, room became breezy
As dark shadows danced in corners
And strangely I began to feel uneasy
As I asked for Fiction and Fable

Recycle that old shirt
Donate, donate, donate
Be a hero, save the world
It's not too late!

Sometimes all that we see and all that we do
And all that we have done seems like a dream
An endless dream whether good or bad

If only I have a genious brain like Einstein
a brain of relativity and amazing creativity
a brain relative to time and space

Then I would know if everything was real,
and not just another incredible illusion
of here and now, of this place

And as I'm quietly thinking of this and I ponder
I imagine the poet Poe would laugh and say,
'Tis a dream and nothing more

Summers day and a fragrance
of honeysuckles all in bloom
Where dragonflies zoom, zoom
over high grass and a stream
Alas. a sleeping fairy in a dream
Captured by a lonely ogre
See, she sleeps on his shoulder

When I close my eyes
dreamin is such a nice surprise

When I close my eyes
I float away to dreamland
Endlessly floating

Dreamland
Where there are no boundaries
Just endlessly falling away
