Wisdom is a beautiful thing
And given to a famous King
And Queen
Wisdom is knowing difference
From Right and Wrong
and acting accordingly
Wisdom!

Will I wake up tomorrow
and see the sky still painted Blue?
And will I find
No one has made off with
my diamond shoes?

America, land of milk and  honey or so they say
Except an organization named Feeding America says
America has millions of children going hungry
And sometimes their only meal comes from school
And  though sadly true, it's a huge crying shame
When some grocery conglimerates are discarding
perfectly good nourishment in their dumpsters
Yet, we look the other way and then wonder
Why so much hunger in a land of plenty?

Wish I were born in the stone age
Cause today is such a frightening place
Seeing everything we do,
a suspicious eye in a pyramid
And I wonder if you know,
those boats are catching squid,
  shining a bright light so bright

One of the world's wealthiest
persons on the planet
And if wealth is translated
into power
then certainly one of the
most powerful
Mark Zuckerberg
creator of a huge popular website
known as Facebook
spun a simple idea
from a class Yearbook
or so in my imagination
Yet, this priceless idea
is an elastic rubberband
stretching around the world
uniting everyone
into a Huge Happy Family
with no privacy
This once in a lifetime idea
is pouring gazillions of cha-ching
upon Zuckerberg's head
and leaves many wondering,
will he begin considering
using his cha-ching
to become the next Superhero
and save the world
doing everything in his power
to stop diseases, monsters
and slow this ever growing
homeless population
in America,
Will he?

Anthology, yes, someday
positivity, trying to keep afloat
sometimes life feels just like
a sinking boat

Poetry is a laugh, poetry is a smile
Poetry is sunlight
Stopping by to stay awhile

Poetry can be many things don't you know
There is no rule, everything goes

Poetry is the color of summer,
the color of spring
Poetry is an iguana,
red roses, and diamond rings

And poetry is a time when monks are down
praying on their knees

Poetry is a seagull flying on a breeze

Yellow flowers growing beautiful and straight,
By a flowing river this gorgeous Sunday
O' cool refreshing water rushes downstream,
Continually like time never stopping
Upon this mountain high where bears thrive,
And where windsong sings of long ago
Time isn't a speeding train rushing forward,
Time is a tortoise traveling slow

Nice to see you come around
changing color of leaves
from green to brown

if you could just stay

William  Shakespeare
or even Robert Frost

I'm beginning to think not
Cause none of their muses
ever come to visit me

I'm sorry I have no idea
Where those two roads led
diverging into a yellow wood

So you have a new dog for protection
Cause the man on the street
just left detention
and your wife has no objection
you say your better off than before

Okay, so your new friend is a pit bull
and just to keep this anonymous
we shall say his name is Barnabas
And so Barnabas is friendly and sweet
with everyone he meets,

Until one day, you let Barnabas outside
for some fresh air
and he meets the pretty little girl
who lives down the street
with a curl in her hair

Oh she sings a song to her teddy bear
and your new best friend, Barnabas
doesn't like girls with curls
So he tears her to pieces
and her little brown teddy bear

And you begin to fret
cause the law states specifically
You,  you're the one
You're being held responsible
for Barnabas breaking the golden rule
and mauling a pretty little girl
with a curl in her hair

And we ask how is this scenario different
As the finger by the law of the land
points straight at you
Than if your child goes berserk,
and shoots everyone in the school band
I'm sorry I just don't understand

So this means I'm gonna kiss the sky
And I'm gonna kiss the ground

Which means I'm gonna kiss the grass
and I'm gonna kiss the dirt

And before I'm through, I'm even gonna
Be kissing Sesame Street's Mr. Bert

And then, Big Bird, Ernie, and Elmo, too
And Count von Count, cause he's cool

All is not well in the land of milk and honey
We have just received reports
A certain someone was reported,
not once but twice
And he declared to the world via youtube
He was going to be a professional school shooter,
and the bureau confessed
To sweeping this under the rug
Their acknowledgement of doing nothing
caught us all by surprise

What has this world come to,
Grown men are hurting children

Physically
Sexually
Mentally

Turning children into Zombies,
and scaring them so bad

They say nothing to their mommies

muses with words spun of finest silk
and as fragile as butterfly wings
never cometh spilling those words
for my broken pen to flow over scrolls
leaving messages for all time

Miniature flowers of blue perfection
Petals of fragility in my hand
Small as a bead,  no larger than a seed
By this lake, adorn this land
Where fairies play when they meet,
And laugh, and kiss on the lips
As they dance for a blue moon's eclipse

Dust rules both, the day and night
A solo sun beats a very loud drum,
And skinny birds take off in flight
Still cowboys sing tunes and hum
Way up high the moon sails on by
In this place as big as the sky

Hey everyone, let's chat about happiness
I just finished reading a poem on the front page
of death and sadness
It's totally heartbreaking when someone
feels so low
But a beautiful enchanting thing when someone
feels happy and they glow

Once upon a time, someone once said to me
Make yourself happy
no one is responsible for your happiness
and no one should be responsible
for your sadness
Think of your emotions as a galloping horse
and you hold the reins

You know they say, money can't buy happiness
Yet, no matter what they say
money does play a part in happiness
though certainly money doesn't buy love
but as one famous cowboy strums guitar strings
and in his best country voice sings
"Money can buy me a boat
and a truck to pull it"

So your feelings are up to you, take control
and make yourself happy

Our
Kiss of
illumination
transports us love
Where we lie upon sands
soaking in warmth of Sunlight
With a cool exotic pineapple drink

Second by second, minute by minute
Like twenty first century robots
The time keeper keeps periods of time
organized in individual slots

He dissects these periods methodically
Creating mysterious time lines
Cause that's his thing, his own thing
Just to blow away our minds

We are not Perfect,
Every one of us has Faults
Just like mother Earth

What inspires one to become a poet?
Love? Happiness? Depression?

Some poets write poems continuously
Morning, noon, and night

From where comes this burning love?
From where this obsession?

And we write of muses and poetry
Until we can write no more

A mother's love is forever enduring
Standing brave through adversity
Even when baby takes a fall
A mother does what a mother does
Stay with baby that's her call
He's her baby afterall

smiling at me,

Ocean, sand

&
A starry night

California dreams
A delight!

A hypocrite is a hypocrite
and a sinner is a sinner


I believe a sinner does what he wishes
seven days a week

And a hypocrite does what he wants
six days a week
and goes to church to repent on Sunday

And then we have those who call themselves
Christians

In their own eyes they are Christians
They can do no wrong,
only find fault in others


And you ladies call yourselves Christians
I'm not so sure when you speak
of the pastor's wife that way

I believe she can wear anything she likes
including those tight leather pants
Cause it's her perogative

Some dreams leave me filled with
wonder and adventure
Like packing only one piece of luggage
and saying "come with me, take my hand
Let's go away, get lost and chase our dreams
Let's go visit the Stars, just you and I
Let's go see the world"

Somewhere snow is falling
from the sky
just not in this city
Not here, not tonight

Anyway goodnight,
Merry Christmas,
And sleep tight

Posessions
My posessions mean nothing
absolutely nothing!

I would give up every material thing
in my possession

Just to see my mother again

Time keeps moving forward,
Always on the go

Sometimes fast, sometimes slow

Time never stays in one place
too long

Zoom, zoom, zoooom.......
I'm traveling back in time
to the famous year of 1492
where with metamorphosis
I'll become a raging wind,
A wild hurricane of the sea
I'll throw ships off course
and provoke mutiny

You drive me crazy, you drive me insane
When you ask me where I'm going,
and you ask me what's my game
Am I the only one who feels this way?

I just want to scream and say
Excuse me sir, excuse me mam
Get a grip
I don't even know your name

When at the beach in summer
with the sun glistening off the sea
and seagulls flying here and there,
I lie upon the white sandy beach
and dream of eternity
