"dyad" poems
I sit on the fence that keeps two sides from
tearing each other down. I built that fence.

My faith in you comes from believing that
what you know is true and I feel is good.

As I was looking at cells, I saw stars,
as if my parts were a whole universe.

In the emptiness of a deprived soul,
there is an ocean without its water.

Our eyes met, hearts knew. Signals flashed like code
bound with beautiful, arresting silence.

All I have to do is care, tend to you
and when you flower, I will feel human.

Is this
How we
End?
Does our
Relationship
Crumble
in the
Silence
of no
Words?
Do we
let our
Dyad
Breathe its
last breath
alone
in the
Night of
Unspoken
Thoughts?
Do we
Let our
special
Connection
Break apart
in a
Noiseless
Dirge?
Is this
How we
End?
No words-
Only the
Unspoken
Goodbyes
in the
Void of
Unshared
Thoughts
and wants?
Do we
Die
in the
Stillness of
Nothing
Spoken and
Dreams
Broken?
Is
This
How we
End?

Our world was cemented fresh linoleum tile
you always bent down to reach my voice,
I was so sweet, I feel so vile.
You tell her she reminds you of daisies and August sunshine
I smell out the ***** of cinnamon, I am canine.
Thought you were all mine.
I know she's breathless
as you shake the bed,
dancing dyad, snowed with asbestos.
And I could be edgeless
sand myself down just for you.
Polish every crevice,
I am a god in a teenage body
I could be edgeless
like a marble cast of paresis
settled upon your pew.

I have a feeling and it carries me,
through the veins, to the heart of the matter.

because they know how to kindle a light.

The wind moves through trees and waves find a shore
but with my embrace, I am missing yours.

An ocean apart, but a bridge is built
and old souls meet on the road less travelled.

Dance with me, move me to be warm again.
