Is it okay?
They say
It's okay not to be okay
But do they really mean it

It is okay
Right?

The Unseen Flags
Splashes of colour
I've never felt duller
Seeing through my rose-tinted glasses
I never saw the red flags
My heart now carries these heavy bags
My feelings torn to rags
Bright and red
I feel sick
Hit with a rose coloured brick
Red and bright
All flags insight
I squeeze my eyes tight
Wishing everything was alright

Bells of Pain
Bells ringing and jingling
Not knowing what it's bringing
Slowly descending into insanity
Stop this sound, stop the inhumanity
Ears bleeding
Keep pleading
Don't let the bells be misleading
The sound is exceeding
On your knees crying
You'd rather be dying
The sound of pain
Driving you insane
It shall remain
Implanted in your brain

Coffee
Nothing like a cup of coffee to open my eyes
Watching the early sunrise
Hearing the annoying bird cries
Silently watching the blue skies
Dark, black and deep
Slowly pulling me away from sleep
In my throat, I let the hot liquid seep
Hearing the coffee machine go 'beep'
I wait for my energy to take a leap
So I can stop counting sheep

To My Dad
Why don’t you love who I am?
You only give me your attention or love
if I’m doing good in school.
You never loved me for the person I was. Only for the things I did that benefited you.

Deep sea
In my blue wonderland
My fins touching the soft sand
The light reflecting in the sand like a diamond
The deeper I go the more mysterious it gets
It gets dangerous if I stop for any rests
But when it gets dark
The lights start
The beautiful creatures with their glowy skin
Neon lights shining and their glowing fin
The sea of different corals
A school of explorers
The deeper I go
The more I see an unnatural glow
A whole world under here
Yet I harbour no fear
Many dangers lurk around
But to this world I am bound
Nothing can tear me apart from this wonder
So much to see so much to discover
I think these thoughts as I go under

Worn
Chipped and cracked
Old and worn
Yet you are still my favourite
Old things have more sentimental value than new ones, almost the same with people.

My little knight
My fat furball
Lift your head up when I call
You used to be so small
I can still recall
You used to be so light
And give me a gentle bite
You are my only knight
With you, I'll be alright
My little knight

Out of Sight
Those silent arguments in my head
Sometimes make me wish I was dead
My eyes all puffy and red
I just don't want to get out of bed
Is it normal to cry all night?
Enough to wish I lost my sight
In a ball, I clutch my blanket tight
Wanting to give up in this endless fight
All alone, out of sight
No one sees this side of me
No one hears my silent plea
My pleas to be free
My pleas to be me

Wounds may heal
But scars are left behind
The pain is unreal
Not all of us have a heart of steel
No matter how much we try to conceal it
We can still feel it

Blissful sleep

Warmth

A light orange glow, almost fluttering

The world seems to fade away

All becomes numb and sweet

And the darkness, somehow comforting

Wish
The sound of waves crashing on the shore
Your breath
The way diamonds glint even when there is no light
Your eyes
The soft feel of a ripe peach
Your skin
The deepest black of space
Your hair
The lost gaze of a missing child
The gentle smile playing on those lips
So close yet so far
I wish to see you on a falling star

By the River
Near a river blue and clear
Birds chirping is all I hear
Sitting on a grassy hill
Chicken cooking on the grill
My family is there
We all sit in a square
We share the food equally
And have the food peacefully
Then we have a treat
Which is really sweet
At the end of the day
We all drove away

You were here with me, laughing, a while ago
I still care for you though
Guess I gotta learn to let go

Waiting
The moments when words are choked up by your own tears
The times you were chased by your worst fears
The amount of time I waited for it to pass, all those years
The people who were beside you through it all slowly disappears
The end of your suffering slowly, slowly nears
Happiness sometimes interferes
Coming in playing with your emotions
Ticking your feelings for a small giggle
But it shows no devotions
Leaves your life grey
While you wait for it to end
While you keep playing pretend
Waiting for the end

The Rose
The rose grows
The wind blows
The rain falls
Birds give their calls
The river flows
Spring shows
The rose wilts
The rose tilts
Spring ends
With it winter sends,
All the snow
Nothing more can grow
The rose dies
The birds give their cries

Social Anxiety
My hands start shaking.
I can feel my heart violently beating in my throat
threatening to choke me.
I can feel it hammering against my chest trying to break free
it’s like playing drums on my rib cage.
my brain stops completely
leaving me alone in the predicament.
I have no time, all my thoughts can be seen.
In the end, I always end up speaking nonsense.
With stutters and stammers interrupting each sentence.
Making them feel awkward and confused
about how to reply
to the nonsense I just spewed.

Dominant Creature on Earth
A lone wolf on a mountain
A fish falling down a fountain
A butterfly on a flower
A shark about to devour
A man on a tower
About to meet his death
On his last breath
About to fall to the ground
And people crowd around
The man frowned
This was how he ended his life
Death has the feeling of a blunt knife
Yet the wolf, fish, butterfly and shark
Are still living
Outliving the dominant creature on earth
Do we have no self-worth?
Giving life away so quickly
Because it got a little sickly

In the Glass Jar
Locked in this glass jar
I stare at the stars
Replaying my past scars
Things that are so far
Rocking in this endless ocean
Always in motion
Sometimes I can't breathe
I can feel death creeping in
Playing its neverending violin
Where did this all begin?
Death plays its endless notes for me
Wishing to be free
As I stare at the endless sea
Death holds me by the hand
He is the only one who can understand

My Paradise
Whenever I love something,
it’s temporary like a bubble.
I see it but I cannot touch it,
for it will pop.
Bubbles are such fragile things.
How can something so lovable be so close and yet be untouchable,
unreachable,
unattainable?
It feels so unreal.
I can love them how much I want
but I can never have them.
Trapped outside the bubbles of my paradise.
Alone,
watching the things I love.

Your disguise
The bust of colour I see coming from your smile
Your happiness radiates for a whole mile
The laughter in your eyes
The perfect disguise
I know what's behind that mask of love
Concealing the hate with a velvet glove
What you do when no one else can see
When there's only me
The way you make me beg and plea
How you cause me so much pain
Keeping me on a chain
How could a father cause so much pain
The pain that will drive me insane
That look of disdain
It's no longer humane

Your words are like a bitter juice I can't swallow
Stuck there, Hanging in mid-air
I can't understand it
It rings in my ears again and again
But it makes no sense
My mind is becoming numb from hearing your voice
Like eating something so spicy you can't feel your tongue
Like your fingers on the coldest day of winter
You keep touching them yet it feels like their not yours
Like not feeling a cut
But when I realized it
It was too late
The cut was bleeding out
It felt like you pressed a lemon against it
And rubbed the salt in

The String
My mind is blank
In my head, dark thoughts sank
My mind is clouded
Things are shrouded
I can't see a thing
So I begin to sing
Not knowing what it shall bring
I sing of spring
I sing of my king
I see a ring
Attached to a string
What does the string bring?
Am I willing to take the risk
I need to be brisk
Shall I give my life to someone
Or decline the ring from one
Not knowing what the string brings

Snow
Powdered sugar
It's raining white
You look absolutely beautiful tonight
You set my nerves alight
A burning fire in your heart
Enough to tear me apart
The delicate flakes coming down
Softly resting on your crown
On your delicate hair, a curly brown
It's snowing all around
They land softly on the ground
Without the slightest sound

Seaweed
I move from right to left lazily
Everything around me is hazy
Sometimes a colourful passerby stops for a rest
Sometimes they stay, considering me as their nest
But they all leave over time
Some consider me as grime
Some love to nibble on my tips
All I rely on is my roots and their grip
The sun’s ribbons of light nurture me
They play through the waves as I admire their beauty
Some days it’s calm and quiet
And I can feel the warm sand in my roots
Sometimes is rough and rocks and pebbles rip through
All of those beautiful green stems I grew
But through it all, I grow back
To feel the beautiful warm sun touch my tips
And the soft touch of sea foams lips

Poetry on my walls
There’s poetry on my walls
Brightening up the halls
I reread one every day
I survey the words as I lay on my bed
Thinking of what I could have written instead
So many words going through my head
In the end, I still place them back up on the wall
Some of them I end up crumpling into a ball
And ripping them off my wall
Then I recall
When I wrote them
And how I felt like a sparkling gem
I tape them back together
Straighten the creases
And taping the pieces
When I look at my wall
I no longer feel small

Ice Skater
She dances on the feeble ice
Her moves so precise
A leap for some spice
It's something she feels through her bones
As music and their blending tones
The wind through her hair
She has a spark, a flare
Sliding on the ice without a care
Humming to an unheard tune
In her own beautiful cocoon
The sky a deep maroon
To any disturbance she is immune
She twirls like a top
Moving nonstop
Her hands free in the air
She moves without a care

Just a random thought
They say, to be a bird is to be free
But have they ever considered how the birds feel?
Do they feel free?
They’re stuck in the same cycle every day
Don’t they feel tired or bored?
Their parents did the same things before
And their parents before them
Their just repeating
Again and again
Are birds really free?
Stuck in their cycle
With no change
Ignore this please -_-
