Whispers in the breeze,
Leaves pirouette, gold and red,
Autumn sighs softly.

Beating me to tears,  
then you hold me, comforting
a cruel, warm circle.

Hold me through the night,
Endless love in whispered breaths,
Stay, my heart’s one light.

The older I grow,
Parents, once heroes, now seem
Just like me, they are.

Just imagine
Being human, bound and broken,
Hating the questions left unspoken.
Denying truth until it's shown,
Laughing at lies as if they’re your own.

Picture this
An institution hailed as the cure,
While tyranny festers, too vile to endure.
Irony lingers, thick in the air,
Pollution of minds too numb to care.

And imagine
Reducing your soul to a single name,
A fleeting spark in a futile game

Children of one heart,  
Devotion's ocean runs deep,  
Colors make it clear.

Men created God,
to deny life’s true makers
Eve bears their old sin.

Sometimes all I need
a soul to mirror my own.  
Am I too much, though?

silent strength within,
words and bodies claimed in vain
minds untamed, fierce free

Beneath kind words lies,
Silent strings pull hearts like thread,
Shadows weave their will.

Unloved, I have felt,  
You love me now, but would you  
Call me your daughter?
