I Saw Her In The Subway,
She Was Tall & Fair,
But Her Clothes Weren't.

I Saw Her Makeup Wearing Away Now,
She Had Her Clothes Damaged,
But She Was About To Say Some Words.

I Observed Her As She Stopped Her Sentence In The Midway,
She Recognized Me & I Recognized Her Too,
But I Walked On Without Being Dogged By My Past - The Angel Had Fallen.

I Discerned Over Going Back To Hold Her Hands Again,
She Needed To Be Helped By Someone Close,
But It Was Her Decision To Separate Our Ways - She Chose Disgrace.

I Agreed That Nobody Could Pull Her Out Now,
She Was Comfortable This Way Too,
But I Thought I Saw Her Eyes Glistening As She Passed With Another Customer.

Blanked out parts of my old memory,
Meted out an alienating treatment,
Short-term loss of my memory,
Still undergoing treatment,
Collectively boycotting my soul,
They do their duty of progressing,
Irked they are by my apparent ease.

They follow their basic instinct.

I don't mind it for what my life is.

"A Different Kind Of Hell."

I was supposed to have died but I survived and am made to live here.
I avail few special facilities for the differently-abled because of my 42% physical disability after my serious road accident as categorically defined by the Indian medical authorities.

My classmates are a jealous lot who are jealous of my being in the middle of them.

And then he coincidentally fell on his back,
All were up perpendicularly each of his paws,
They put a nameplate to him,
It was just the word DOG inverted,
People had never seen anything like that,
They tried to assert what happened to him,
Someone said, **"The animal has gone back to GOD, the creator now."

I fell asleep in the afternoon only for waking up to a pleasant dream,
I had a dream of a life without you my love mate but it was pleasant,
I was missing my mate so I sculpted a statue and it was resembling you,
I then put my wizardry skills to bring the statue to animation in real-time,
I spent all my life alongside you happily drinking the elixir of love.

Not only like a real guardian,
But more dedicated than a real father,
A dutiful lover is always,
Thinking of new ways,
Happier can be his lover.

I thought as one for her too, but,
As she was sick of my mature advice,
She ditched me for someone else,
In my eyes tears swell but fail to fall.

Yes, I have moved on.

Some more torment I will endure,
Until when I ask looking up in the sky,
Until I die came the answer from within.

But till then, I'll help humanity,

One of my wife's gorgeous friends,
Eyes as large as marigolds,
But I knew her name not,
Taller & slimmer she was,
She came to greet my wife,
Happy married life with me,
My wife introduced her as Gayatri.

"Such a divine sweet name!"
So I exclaimed moving closer,
And the cooker started whistling.

I just thought something,
And looked towards my wife,
"Your pulses got ready,
Please look after them,
Lest they get burned,
Proceed towards the kitchen,
Your effort might go wasted."

My wife looked at me suspiciously,
Slanting her head she commanded,
"Let the pulses be burned,
I won't let you bake any cake,
You go, mind the pulses instead."

Vortex in between thoroughly.

They be followed closely.

Also, store them with fluorophores,

Look at that...
How the garden lost its glamour,
How the elder tree lost its shade,
How the woods lost the clamour,
How the branches lost the birds,
How the dove flew away, never to return.

Look at that...
How the rose bundle lost its scent,
How the mango lost its sweetness,
How the Christmas lost the snow,
How the eggs hatched & birds ascend,
How romance was brewed, and charred.

Look at that...
How all hell had broken loose,
How the paradise now recedes,
How this heart was lonely & grim,
How the yew woods again sprout,
How my heart beats, *Dag-dag! Dag-dag!!
All the sheen would be taken away if not for my strong, golden heart.

I slept peacefully rid of any nightmares,
I was at a relative's place with my papa.

These relatives have a married son,
The cousin goes by the name Vivek,
This cousin has just gotten married.

He has gotten his knots tied happily,
His longtime love is the lucky bride,
Heads high they had gotten married.

I was there at Vivek's home for a cause,
I kept in my mind just one name - Mystery,
I hope that he will help convince father.
Oh and then up at 4 am from the pleasant dream I studied for my forthcoming entrance examination for around 90 minutes before posting this poem.

Long-distance relations,
I have a weaker memory,
My physical state is dismal,
Some say that I distorted facts,
That I am some sort of a ******,
Some have gotten so scared of me,
Others have just gotten sick of me...

I do not blame others for my state,
As I am lesser than my own shadow,
And in the end, I am alone with myself,
For nobody would want a half-boyfriend.

We know each other only by internet,
Which means we've not ever met yet,
Would it look so weird looking back?

The hearts are so much well-polished,
Embellished in her happy young self,
Making me feel more than just young.

What if it does indeed appear weird,
When we've let time do our bidding,
Why shall we even care about past?

She has got a beautiful golden heart,
Even I have got a very similar heart,

Why is this later spring show so shy,
Would it show sooner when needed,
Will it keep languishing in her eyes?

Come out of the torment you are going through,
I will be waiting dear,
At the other invisible end of this dark tunnel only for you.

Come slap me with your results when they're out,
I am very confident that they will be fine
And I promise that I will only hug you in return.

Just please don't go so far away right now,
Take some time and don't come to conclusions.
In you, I saw my yesterday, in you I see my today, and only in you I will see my tomorrow.

Tomorrow will surely come,
You and me both know it,
It won't be too late and no damage done.

Just be calm,
Be generous,
Only shower your love on me.
For Kripi,
She's upset with me.

But actually,
She has just panicked in the shadow of exams like 2 years ago.

I understand it now even though she doesn't,
I got really upset when she said those words and abused her verbally for ditching me when I was in B'lore trying to sell our home there as I wanted to get settled here in the North and not in the South as B'lore is a difficult city and foremost reason, 'Kripi would be so far away from any society that she can easily communicate with as the language prominently spoken there is Kannada. Also, I didn't want her to feel too far away from her own home in Amritsar. While Karnal is only about 7 hours away from Amritsar via road/rail, Bengaluru is much more far away from Amritsar even by air.'

I am sorry Kripi, but now I understand your situation.

And have faith in yourself,
You will succeed in the worldly gauge of success for sure. But you have already succeeded in my eyes.

I won't hurry, you just patiently and dedicatedly appear for your exams.

Even then it's your wish whether you see a future with me or not.

I don't refer only to our comfortable parental house in Bangalore,

The day of Holi festival is very close,
This festival of colours draws nearer,
Though people have plans to rejoice,
I have none & that is my simplicity.

I am not saying that I won't partake,
But I have grown-up over childhood,
Boys no longer throw colours at me,
But I myself go to them smiling lips.

They lightly put soft natural colours,
Then I get both my cheeks decorated,
Through and through for happiness,
Both they and I to start a new year.
The Indian new year's also observed from this festival of colors with plans of future betterment.

Let's talk about life in its smartest forms,
Let's talk about the great idea of evolution,
Let's talk about our basic origins in past.

This is a not-so-popular fact that some life forms
Experienced an alien evolution on a different land
Before they dropped us down on this planet to rule.

But look amongst ourselves for their signs,
The tell-tale signs leftover from their visits,
Weird skull shapes is just one of those marks.
I think that aliens are the real Gods for us.

See the cave paintings and ancient wall-etchings anywhere, be it the so-called early-man rock etchings or be it the paintings in the Egyptian or Chinese or Inca pyramids, look at the elongated heads of all their leaders. These structures called pyramids are often accompanied by high towers, possibly possessing the alien-technology of communications or channelizing energies once upon a time.

It may seem eerie but it's surely probable that some of us are less hominid than the rest of us.

But no worries 'bout that at all,

If people are bothered by this way,
I will convince them to be like me.

I can not tolerate the middle path.

If I do it then it gotta be perfect,

Let me show you a dream when the sun would shine bright

Unlike me, you're weak here.

Listed in your service I had for life,
Onto another you moved your fife,
Selfish you were, so I bear this strife,
Exhausts my love & you won't be my wife.

All the best with your experiments in love,
Love you posed much as ideal dove,
Love flowed inside instead of blood.

Maybe you will succeed this time,
You say he is just like you & it's fine.

Lost in your memories my love is,
Only you have I ever loved I feel,
Victory will be mine one day soon,
E**nter I will a world of true love.
Selfless love was what I dispensed,
And cheating was what I received,

Do you remember that date,
It was 27 April the year '13,
And it was really very late.

We had a communication-gap cropped-up,
An unavoidable communication-gap it was,
Some misunderstandings had cropped-up.

Though both had our respective liabilities,
I had been overtly angry much to your fears,
I'm still sorry for what I said had brought tears.

I had lamely prophesized in anger,
When we had a no-fun word-war,
I had said very dramatically,
That you'll be married,
Exactly 7 years, 7 months & 7 days later.

Even you yourself were upset at that time,
And we didn't talk for many days.
You felt cheated & even I felt scandalized.

We knew that this tiff will have to end one day,
So we sub-consciously thought we'd test ourselves.
Maybe we knew that it'll end someday if not that day.

Because we are like our favourites Tom & Jerry,
Fighting very seriously but loving all the way along,
So probably that too is an indispensable part of love!

We have laughed it over and left that tiff back,
But hey that prophecy must come true!
Not at all like that you should worry about it,
About having to marry somebody else,
It will be me only who marries you!
Do you remember that day, darling?
:-P ^_^ :-D

Be it a male or a female being...
The infant needs care,
It also needs to feed..
The infant cries,
The infant laughs.
And nothing else matters.

Then the infant grows up to be a kid,
Becomes a more big teenager next..
The teenager needs attention,
It needs to be accompanied..
The teenager plays,
The teenager enjoys.
And nothing else matters.

The teenager matures into an adult,
Blasts each one of the social norms.
The adult needs inspiration,
It needs to be truly loved..
The adult thinks,
The adult aspires,
And nothing else matters.

Well there's not so much to tell...
I feel very passionate about everything I do-- Writing, singing, even laughing (so passionate in fact, that I get ridiculed about my laugh a lot...).
Under normal conditions, I am an understanding, caring type of person.
In most of my poems, you will find that I am most definitely NOT an optimist.
I am probably one of the most unpositive people you'll ever meet, actually... (I hope you know that that was a bit of a hyperbole).
Anyways, thank you for dropping by!

And The Tears Appeared

Neither you're mine,
Nor I remain yours...
Shadowing is just the grief,
Lost in the unknown is happiness...
And the tears appeared,
Trickling down the eyelids...
And the tears appeared...

Here I drown in my grief,
Down in the sea of tears...
In this sad rain of blues,
I get drenched deeply...
Just the tears appeared,
Trickling down my eyelids...
And the tears appeared...

Originally one of my own Hindi language compositions...

Aur Aansoo Aa Gaye*

Na tu mera rahaa,
Na main tera rahaa...
Chhaein hain gham hi yahaan,
Khoyi hain khushiyaan kahaan...
Aur aansoo aa gaye,
Palkon se chhalkay...
Aur aansoo aa gaye...

Aansu ke saagar mein,
Doob raha hoon main...
Gham ki is baarish mein,
Bheeg raha hoon main...
Bas aansoo aa gaye,
Palkon se chhalkay...
Aur aansoo aa gaye...
This was the swansong of my last romantic relationship.
