I do not want to fit in, and I do not want to stand out.
Because I can be who I know I am.
And you can be what they want you to be.
Change takes time, or no time.
You do not need, you want.
Destiny or fate, it happens or it doesn't
Because you can choose or you are stubborn.
Love and happiness will find you,
And you will be blind or see.
Another interaction; another memory.
My story for your story.
Because I learn from you and you learn from me.
And when our paths go their separate ways, they will meet again
Through nature or through nurture.
Because when you care I care too.
There are many reasons why I am loving you.

Just one message from you, and just one sentence made me this way.

You said "I cant forget our old good days" ,
and you said you didnt want to disturb me anymore.

But sadly , you dont know half the reasons of why I had let you go.

People diein' on the streets.
****** puddles at our feets.

But we could be a family.
We could be a whole.
We could be together.
But no one could be cold.

If we could live on an island,
no hate,
no guns,
no war.
We'd look back and wonder,
what was it all for?

People diein' on the streets.
****** puddles at our feets.

Gangs,
tempts,
nudes,
exempts.

We sit at desk,
eating or eaten.
we laughed at or laughing.
beating or bleedin'.

We know the truth, but call it cruel.
The cruel one is we, the blind fool.

People diein' on the streets
****** puddles at our feets.

Who shot the most guns?
Who then killed them all?
Who didn't mind a casualty?
Who could be responsible?

"Not me!" we cry,
"I'm a good soul."
But even if we declined,
can I be told where they go?
No one WANTS to die. For someone to do it, there will be an opponent. A THREAT.    That's what this poem is about.

My heart opens up to you each night
Resting peacefully as I fall asleep
Finding my spirit sleeping without fear
For within your grace I rest so deep

I feel the nourishment of your love
And the healing power of your touch
As my mind gently begins to dream
It is of you Lord,  I dream so much

You are the breath which fills me
The radiant sun I see alive within
For as I dream so faithfully of you
I find the life in my words to begin

I see them floating inside my mind
Seeing them softly embrace my soul
And even though I am sound asleep
Their embrace shall never let me go

For the gift Lord, which you gave to me
In my daily life never comes to an end
Because each night when I close my eyes
Your love inspires the words to begin

Lord, I know that I have infinite reasons
To humbly send songs of praise your way
For you are the genuine sweet nourishment
Which feeds my mind and heart each  day
A prayer of thanks
