It's so strange,
How I get so happy with
hundreds of people that I don't know
seeing the core of my thoughts
It's so very strange, because I'm so very shy
and if it was to be in the flesh
or on a stage
I'd be shaking
and trying to not let it show
but I don't see what's wrong when
about a thousand people see my thoughts

I look at myself and all I see is grey
I try so hard to pray it away
I know it's cliche
But I can't stand my own face

It's sad eyes
They see through my lies
My oversized thighs
My failure to revise
I despite this disguise

I look at myself and all I see is disappointment
Try harder I mumbled in exhaustion
What a collision
My own derision

One day, soon, I will look at myself and all I will see is joy
My reflection, I will enjoy not want to destroy
I will not be coy
As the sun dawns
All will be gone I vowed

I look at myself today and all I see is hope
For I am proud
I want to scream it loud in crowd
I am proud of me and you
And with that statement I feel so new.

I miss you.
What happened to us?
Do you ever think of me, the way I think of you?

No you probably don't.
You moved on.
I should too...

HOW CAN YOU NOT CARE ANYMORE? Especially after EVERYTHING we've been through.
You heartless *******.
Everything was a game to you, wasn't it?

Late night thinking
Unblinking and sinking
Rethinking my choice of words
It's absurd
Everything is so blurred
Fragments shifting through holes
I take on all these roles
What lost souls

Late night thinking
Tinkering with memories
I need remedies
These fragments slash through flesh
Fresh wounds fester
Exposing new memory holes

Late night thinking
Should I have said that
Combat of my mind
Memories become no mans land, blind
Confined within the crevices of my mind
I just want to unwind
Let's leave all this behind

Tomorrow, perhaps, you may find
Some peace of mind.

I knew I should have ran
the moment he pulled up in a car
my parents can't even afford.
I should have ran when I noticed that
he had more hair on his face than his head.

Nineteen year old boys aren't
supposed to drive nice cars.
And nineteen year old boys
aren't supposed to look like
twenty five year old men.

It didn't matter though
because he said he liked me
and he invited me to
cuddle and watch movies.
So
I didn't care that his car
was probably stolen,
or that he looked twenty five.
I just needed to be held
and it didn't matter by who.

His house was just minutes away
But it felt like worlds.
This place he called home didn't
look like much of a home at all.

I should have ran
Soon as it became clear
that this was more than two
friends hanging out.
Because as we
walked through the door,
He pushed me against the
Kitchen counter
and he grabbed me in places
I won't even touch when I'm alone.

I should have pushed him away
and ran as fast as I could.

But I didn't.

He showed me upstairs
to a room full of innocence.
Pink walls,
purple ceiling,
and cute stuffed animals.

I should have ran when such a grown man
invited me into such a small child's bed.

But I didn't.

I layed next to him
resting my head on his chest.

I was expecting a movie
but what I got was
rough hands up my shirt
and a tongue down my throat.

For the first time in my life
I said
no.
I said
stop.

But this is a nineteen year old boy
who wants to do more than cuddle.

This is a twenty five year old man
who doesn't take no for an answer.

I should have ran down the stairs,
out the door,
down the road,
through a river
through a ******* barb wire fence.
I should have ran far as I could.
But I didn't.

"You're a tease."

Now I'm not saying no.
I'm not saying stop.

"No"
doesn't keep hands from wandering
"Stop"
Doesn't make him change his mind.

I lay there and do what I'm told
because im tired of
fighting battles
I'll never win.

He looks me in my eyes
as I give him what he wants.
He's looking into my soul
as I surrender myself.

I should have ran
*but I didn't

Whatever memory of you
Whatever small tribute to us
A physical manifestation of days gone by

I broke
Destroyed
Tore at the seams

And I'm not sure what can be repaired

It feels like i'm floating on thin air,
spinning,
drifting.
Wonder if i'm really here.
Shattered glass
makes stars that line the sky,
in every way,
and I don't even question why.
I'm a floater.
Floating on by.
I'm a drifter,
and I don't know why.
But I'm staring up
at this black glass sky,
that will welcome me at times.
Telling me it never really changes,
night is always night.
Cold yet warm,
and I don't know why.
Why I stare at this sky,
and call it a beauty.
Call it a saint.
Call it a home,
every now and then.
Why I float,
between it's stars,
that in my eyes,
don't seem that far.
Why I drift,
in it's cold warmth,
that hugs me,
embracing my inner all.
And I never ask why,
the cold warm sky,
is my stop sign,
while yet so vast.
After a long time, no sleep, just music (not even thoughts) I close my eyes, for my surrounding to change, and in my bed I sink, to my night sky's embrace. And I don't know why, I'm so different, or why they are all the same. All I know is they can't see the way I can.
