Floating mentality
Crystal Freda May 2018
Deep in thought

she questions everything.

Wondering every question

her heart begins to swinge.

Her mind is boggled

as she sits on her swing.

Trusting the vines

that are holding up by a string.

If only her beauty

could change what's within,

If her swing can oscillate,

then why can't her heart swing?

A Bright Snowy Christmas
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Misty white sprinkles
dance and twirl their way down
on the old, abandoned bridge.
The skies are faded and gray
and the ground wet and umber.
Vibrant lights brighten the dreariness

and fills warmth to the blistering cold.

Christmas enlivens the dead misery

that sometimes embarks on our world.

Sunny skies
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Blossomed gold skies
awakened her brown eyes.
Her thick lashes batted away
as she saw the sun start the day.

Glimmering sunlight peeked below
in the white curtains of her window.
She glanced down on her light sheets
slumbering her chest to her pale feet.

The sunlight brightened her heart
and she got out of bed for a new start.
Enjoying the juice in her favorite cup.
She was so glad that she woke up.

The Race of Kindness.
Crystal Freda Sep 2017
The race was ready to begin.
I was sure I was going to win.
The whistle blew.
I jogged as my pace grew and grew.

I ran and ran for miles.
I ran over hurdles and piles.
I ran faster than anyone could.
I ran straight into a large piece of wood.

I couldn't believe what I had done.
I should have never had run.
I tried to stand.
I looked up, and saw a hand.

A fellow runner grabbed my hand.
He helped me to stand.
He took me to a bench and stayed put.
He even helped me with my sprained foot.

We watched the race run.
We watched to see who won.
I wished I could have ran.
I was glad I was given a hand.

When others are in pain.
We should love them all the same.
If they cannot stand.
We should help them all we can.

Just a dream
Crystal Freda May 2020
I saw you in a hotel room
on vacation with your family.
You saw me with painful eyes
and walked away angry.

My heart sagged like a bag of flour
as you desperately flew by.
I guess you didn't have the audacity
to come and at least say hi.

Later on, you run into me again
in your blue striped polo.
Your hazel eyes breezed into mine
and they did not let go.

His eyes scarred with hurt as he said
"I have really missed you."
We embraced firmly as I inhaled
the soft smells of his polo so blue.

I woke up to my empty and purple room
knowing you are gone from me.
Having to remember every day
that was just a dream, not reality.

Nightfall Tranquility
Crystal Freda Aug 2018
Such a peaceful night.
Fireflies flaring around the gloom.
The moon glitters
as the twilight flowers bloom.

She lays quietly
and listens to the crickets chirp.
Soft sounds echo in her ears
and nothing can disturb.

Light shimmers on her blue dress
and reflect on her cerise hair.
The stillness keeps her at ease
not a strain, not a care.

She breathes the misty air
of this perfect, breezy night.
She opens her blueberry eyes
at this refulgent, shining light.

Litle pink dress

Her pink dress matched
with her pink, satin shoes.
She was so excited.
All was brand new.

She twirled around
in her little, pink dress.
She loved to twirl.
It was always the best.

She wore it to school and church
and even for a few birthdays.
She dressed it up and down
in all different ways.

She one day outgrew that dress
which made her sad,
but that dress lasted
and she was glad.

Later on in her life
she was truly blessed
with a precious, little girl
who she put in a little, pink dress.

The Raven dancer
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Her raven black hair
would shake and fly
as she danced
happily, happily by.

Her bare feet
steeped and wiggled
as she played her drum
she twirled and giggled.

Some moments she would
stand and think deep thoughts
as she would be lost
in glorious nature spots.

Her town found her strange
as the young woman she was,
She was much more,
but all they could see was flaws.

Her heart was in the right place
and that is all that mattered.
She would dance and play
with her long hair scattered.

Her dark eyes carried
no hurt from the people's remarks.
She would do her own thing
and her light would always have sparks.
