Everyone barrages me with compliments and praise
It seems like I've always had my hand raised
I've doubted myself for far too long
But i think i have good reasons to
Others contradict that theory
But theories can change and be edited

I still feel like i can only hold two candles instead of twenty
Or ace a test with excessive studying instead of acing it perfectly
Or recite a text after hours of reading
Instead of minutes
Am i genius? Am i smart? Am i something better than average?
The answer to this is pretty transparent
I'm alright. A few bruises and dents, but nothing to be startled over.

Many people have been told to do the Catwalk and they do it,
but many have rebelled and chose to do the Dogwalk.

The people who give me attitude and bring me down just woke up on the wrong side of the bed
Or just got too bitter within the revolting dread
All these kids want to be rappers
But how many will actually make it?
All these kids want to be the best sports athletes
But many don't get very far
Why does this happen?
Is it from a lack of trying?
Am i asking very censured questions?
Cause if i am, i'll stop.
My heart is too big and my mind is too curious, that might be what pulls everyone in
But i ain't perfect

I finally stopped playing the role of Kingpin when i jumped out of the bowling alley
Saying hi to all the Sallys
Because they all think i'm pretty nice
Yeah i'm alright
I'm just trying to make this life right
Keeping my moral rope tight
So i don't get too loose

Many people let it go a few times in their life

I've learned to realize that i'm a human that deserves what everything else has
And if anyone says the opposite
They're indefinitely inapposite

Too many people fail to realize the ushers of people that compromise for them
They just halt them with their hand when the helper tries give them a basket full of goodies

We all give up too much, but the thought still counts
Don't ever give up on the thought

I want my words to make a difference to someone
Not so they can just accept it during the moment and forget about it for eternity

I have a life of meaning when it's been seen as nothing for the longest time
I wasted too much time with that mentality

And rolling out a new slogan
Anything that defies it will just have to stay behind

When something perturbs me to such a point
I have to step back and take the whiff of realization
The opposite of one that ***** smokers take
The puff of fresh air
The one that heals instead of one that stays stagnant
And become the mouthpiece of optimism
Because God could of put me somewhere far more hellish than this

All these kids are homeless with dead parents from all these ignorant wars, the ghetto, tragedy and famine and you're complaining about how you hate your parents that are there for you?
What in blue blazes has gotten into you?
People who are good to you
Should never be rejected
I'm sorry, but i cannot accept those words as a fact
Because they're filth painted with temporary coat
Am i supposed to be impressed?
Because i'm not
You did far worse than that
My parents couldn't do everything for me, but it wasn't due to the lack of wanting
It was the lack of everything that prevented them from doing so.
I want to tell the homeless help is on the way

They now almost forgot how to feel

Every time i open my mouth and speak the truth it just falls out of everyones ears
People do this for years
And the foreshadowing becomes predictable

The News is basically that overplayed radio single you hate hearing.
Most of the time, it just annoys.
Most of the time, it just enrages.

When i cop a nice honey
It's not for the money
Or for something that benefits me briefly
But someone i think i connect with massively and can really see myself falling for
When i do, i go all out
I try to deem myself worthy
And it doesn't end when i get her
It's just the beginning

Not for the usual expectations
When i show signs of wanting to be with you, i hope you feel extra special it's because i see something in you that you might not.

I think i should apply for a mental health alleviation position
Because I've been making sure these people don't severely hurt themselves or commit suicide

He would of been KIA a long time ago.
What about the ones who fought and died for America?
Nobody ever mentions them
The media wants me to hate them all, but i laugh and shake my head
