Clouds
Jasper Sep 15
Quiet calls my name from the clouds.
I lost my wings,
a deafening reality.
Quiet calls my name from the clouds.
Just a poem about longing for solitude or peace.

A Note to Love
Jasper Sep 15
I want love. You do too, do we all? No,
Not me, to you. Apparently, I
Don't exist. Do you?

I could feel my love
That I don't have -
This being alone,
Wearing the open air
Like Nakedness.

Vision dressed in
Nobody, not even
I.

Prayers answer every god.
Just some more experimentation, for the most part.
Jasper 7d
The deep dark hue of the ocean blue
Is not as blue–
as I without you.
The lively lush green of a summer scene
Can’t match my sheen,
When you’re with me.
The harsh cold of arctic winter weather
Sullens my soul,
when we aren’t together.

I Know
Jasper 6d
You want to die?
I know what that's like.
When you want to -
Not to know what it's like to die,
But so you know what it's like to be dead.
I know what that's like.
Life has ***** your future,
And now you want to make your future
Something life can't ****. I know
What that's like. When you
Can give up easier
Than you can breathe, see,
Feel - Because every
Single
Moment,
Is filled with life,
Your broken life
Like broken glass.
A trail you walk,
And clouds of glass particles
Imbue the air you breathe.
And your hope is like a glass
Before it was ever made.

I know what that's like.
Life broke up with you -
And reality came crashing in
Like a stone. You didn't know
Blood could fracture.
                                 And now,
You know, too
That no matter what you do
Life goes on,

                                                   Elsewhere.
What do y'all think about the placement of Elsewhere?
Jasper 7d
an atheist once said, dear god.
I'm lying here, waiting for nobody,
contemplating that, what I  said,
every memory ago. and
I have just concluded
with my essay on life and reality,
but still I think
there's something I'm missing, and
I realize it's the flesh in this great beast
we call reality, that fleshly heart
that got torn apart
by this other beast, we call
love.
now we are living here, in this carcass
of some dead, decaying animal
we cut through,
so we can stay warm,
while we're waiting
for nobody.

(the whole world is a ghost.)

Somebody come and pick me up
(the heart of the bird is the weight of the bird)
I've been sinking into the universe

And I'm beginning to really, really lie
With my autonomic nerves
And their will to life.

The brazen heart
Jasper 3d
******* you to hell.
You smolder inside my chest
Crying like an abandoned puppy,
Even my blood wants to get away from you.
You claim everything's yours, yours
To feel for, like a blind man, stumbling,
You are an emotional wreck. You
Brazen bull, I never cease to hear
The screams of agony that you burn.
It's so bad I could even smell the crisp
Of human flesh. It empties me of all hunger.
The air burns wherever I let it, but that
Always beats your burn, that is like the iron
At the center of the Earth. I hate you.
You burn. You burn my love notes,
My apologies, you burn my hatred,
My love, my time. You burn my dreams.
You are their crematorium. And I hate you
For forcing me around you
No matter how much I want you out.
I hate you,
And I hate you even more
For making me forget why,
My rumination seeping out
Replaced by "Fine.
Let's see how you do on your own."
Hearts kinda **** sometimes don't they?

This Sorrow
Jasper 3d
This sorrow,
This song can't pierce.
This sorrow
Is rock-hard water.
It is two rooks
Fire and air each -
I feel their fingers
Dig under my arms
And make me fly.
This sorrow
Is my patience.

It's all I've ever had.
Jasper 1d
Life is the greatest killer of all.
Cancer. Sickness. ******.
Wellness to illness, function to dysfunction:
Two sides of the same coin toss.

The greatest civil rebellion lasted
122 years, give or take, yet
In all the struggle few realize that the true oppressor
Is always enslaved to a certain animal within.

Our ancestors die, our rivals die, our sisters die,
We've been choosing death all along.
Look at our blood: from tree to house to ash
And mammal to mammal to dirt to memory.

All things before the sun, that great heap of ******,
Will have the color drained from them.

The great white is an event
Of the great blackness. And when it explodes . . .

And there's a lesson to be told here,
Call it 1.1.
There is a lucky infinity
Of the few who, unlike us, life
Didn't take them, and there is a growing infinity
Of us the many who death will take. I fear
That there will be a great war
To ruin the eternities that dot the night skies,
The Olympians. I fear a great war
Where infinite darkness both ways
Will finally collapse -
And us in the middle, the living,
This star chained away
By space and time and
The magnificence of its light,
Breathing away every last drop -
Will fail,
And the ******* bang will stretch out in both ways
As a final ******* to existence.
And that'll be the end of it.
Jasper 4d
I'm depression. As real, as light,
As dark. As feeling, as air, as
Light. I'm as real as the sun
That isn't there. I'm as heavy
As its nowhere-
Ness. I'm the sum of sub-
Tracting parts, I'm the price
Of hell, a worthless dream.

My life
Is found, when life
Finds meaning (when was it lost?)
If you think
That means
It was me
Who gave
Up on God. . .
I gave everything
And nothing he returned to me.

Death to the saviors.
Death to the sayers.
Death to the forsakers.
   Nothing to arrogant nothing.

The greatest ******* pain
Is your child,
When he was just born,
And inside you,
And later, when he
Disappointed you.

You tried so hard,
Gave it a name,
Something you wanted it to be,
Gave it food and water - Your
Food and water,
And for your birthday,
You get a coffin.

Life
*****,
As the saying goes.
And I guess
Death is the Doctor
Who draws your blood
To replace some other blood.
As the saying goes
Around.

But maybe
Our dreams will get us somewhere,
When the end comes, when we sink our bones
Into that pillow the Earth, and in a thousand
The sun will abandon, and make it
No longer daydreaming.

But until then,
Let them **** each other.
So-called "family."
Just some stuff lol

You, you can save me,
I'm sorry for being bad.
I'll get on my knees,
On the floor for you.
I'll leave my red lipstick
Wherever you walk.

Cradling you, rubbing you,
I know you want to tear it
Off of me, this lingerie,
This skin-******* lingerie.
I know you want to see
What hides beneath?
You want to make me blush,
You want to see what hides
In my heart.
It's all yours.
Take it off,
Listen to that click,
Rub it against me don't think about it do it!
Such a sweet tongue - you're already making my red velvet
Melt. I'm streaming down you, can't you feel
The undulations?
This valentines,
Let yourself be washed clean
Of every icy sin.
Bask in my warmth,
The only warmth you get,
And then we can lay in bed
And go to sleep together
And we can shower together,
And we can be together,
And marry together,
Till death do us part.
This is sort of about self-harm, basically, but I'm not sure how obvious/subtle I am with that. Thoughts?

"Man, HE knows nothing of love."
Maybe, but woman, you're beautiful,
So why put me to blame?
Jasper 1d
Because depression lasts,
love isn't depression.
And neither is life - although
they may codepend - (
that's irony) -
and neither
is insanity.

Depression will make you do
The last thing you do.
Love, the first. Life, just the rider,
We the vessel. We are the vessel of life
And depression will dump us out. Love
Is our ultimatum, our insanity.

Remove the shell and make it raw life,
Raw water.
Jasper 4d
I remember the blend
Of light and dirt
As it painted my vision.
But I didn't care much
That I was no longer
Beginning to see.

She was the one being buried.

Flame
teardrops a
birthday candle,
stuck in a cupcake's blue
frosting. Mom just finished the
happy birthday oration—happy
birthday to you, dear Timmy—
It's time for him to blow out
the candle. He's nine.

His Mother:
Time to blow out the candle, Timmy!

Tim blows it out.

She asks what he wished for.

He says he doesn't wanna jinx it

Patting his leg, she says:
Good idea, honey. Enjoy your cupcake.

No I'm okay, your mama doesn't get hungry easily baby.

Timmy wishes to live.
I had an idea about play-ish poems. Kinda prose-poems, I guess. Decided I should start experimenting with that. Thoughts? Also I made the first stanza in the shape of a teardrop, not sure how noticeable that is.

Peace
On the operating table.
I wasn’t very faithful,
But ever since Death’s call—
I fear. for my life.
   God save us all.

Adieu, adieu, adieu.
A tremor hits the old room,
Antiques and glasses crash,
Dust folds and my heart.
   It's all gone.
Just experimenting.

We sat talking, us two,
And one asked the question,
If you could go back, what
Would you do? The other said,
I'd relive every memory,
Every broken promise,
Every lasting wound
And every ruined dream,
Because without it all
I never would've met the one
Who made everything worth
It, the one who's
Making me forget
I'm breathing.

What poetry is
Jasper 1d
Poetry should console one with the many tortures of existence. One should feel understood by a poem. A poem should say, "It's okay, so long as I'm here." Pain and death: The black ink and the white space of our letters, and the language: It is with this language that we write life, beauty, and joy. Love. Through poetry. Poetry shouldn't be to show off, or to make money, to get views, it shouldn't even be for itself. It should be for whoever the poem itself is for. For humanity. This doesn't mean all poetry has to be sad poetry. Happy poetry is okay as well. But there's something so utterly impermanent about a brief moment of happiness. The sweetest touch has never left a scar. But the sweetest pain - that
Is poetry.

I march
Into the valley of Judges,
Every eye cast down like a shadow
Upon me walking by.
There's no
Sun. The end
Comes
Slowest. There's no
End
In sight. My prints
Leave negatives. The shadow.
Darkly saturating. I look up
In fear of these monsters
At their smiling, squinted
Friend-masked eyes -
What could I do for you?
And the imminence
Of this moment
Tears through
My defenses.

Th-thank you f, for reading- goodboy-I mean
Goodbye, sorry sorry.

Jasper 20h
The end is not the answer:
Spit in the wind.
Do you think to overtake
A hurricane
With a martyr drop
Of rain?

Answer me.

The end is not the answer:
When you say that
Deafeningly, I'll
Enjoy the quiet
Softness of
Thunder.

Answer me.

The end is not the answer:
Drink tea and await
A knock on your door
At 1'n the afternoon:
[knock knock]
Will you come with me?

The end is not the answer:
But when that rejection
Breaks my heart, and it
Casts the future to shadow -
My question's false premise
Was that it was open-ended.

The end is not the answer?
What part of the poem is this?

Answer me.

Jasper 1d
My love, -
(You've done everything that you should do
For me. You made me feel loved. Warm.
Held me against the forces of night.
You listened to my heart,
And let that songbird out its cage.
You never hurt me, you never bruised me,
You never cut me, you never made me bleed.
You were always there for me, and you sacrificed yourself
For our love, instead of me. You've done everything for me,
Everything imaginable, because you, you love me.)

Somebody come and get me,
Save me from this empty.
Lightning raining down,
I'm stricken with a frown:
An ironic rainbow, a covenant shatter,
Eyes casted down upon
This broken heart tossed
Into the rainbow's shadow.
Something in accentual verse
Jasper 4d
The greatest threat to our existence is our survival.
Monsters roam in the depths of the ocean,
Fires are prophesied and an ember strays.
Hate is breeding with love and birthing stillborns.
Love kills herself and hate
Had this planned all along.
Our nature runs deeper than the depths of the ocean,
Our future is betrayed by the whim of wind, the fire's chariot.
This is about humanity.
Jasper 4d
My naked blood watches me,
I wonder what she does think.
"I did so much for you" or
"Thank you, thank you,
Thank you."

A bead of light gleams like an iris,
A costume of the sun
In a blood-horizon.
Nemb aallo Saryanya,
Thou art the most breathless,
Little star. Like life.
Is it because air took leave,
Or because you, little star,
Are mesmerized?

You are reaching out like the tip
Of Adam's finger, and like gods,
   We will never touch.

Clone army, Somebody 1, Somebody 2,
Anybody! Give me to you,
So that I can become Normal.

I am Nobody alone.
Just a waiting John Doe
For somebody to know
I was never my own.

I wish, I wish it was the case
That we were more alike:
That it wasn't such a hike
To walk the way you pace,

But I'm not. I'm only this.
And if you knew me
For even an eternity,
I'm one no one'll miss.

I'm nobody playing a role.
Just something about envy/wishing you were like somebody else. Maybe even normal.

Blackness
Condenses,
Digging into
Emptiness - a scar
Falling from the mountain.
Grasp, grasp for hold with a stiff
Hand, like a memory faded
Into a second past, frantic search
Juxtaposed with the slipperyness of
Killed memories' blood, covers anything with
Laquer, and if we don't find what we came here for,
Madness will take us, pull us down, define us, but with
No language, no sound, no form, only that fleeted scent that's
Owned by that evil sand-monster of time. We got a taste of
Produce discontinued, till maybe or maybe not it will rise
Quietly from the ashes like an apparition. But when we try
Reeling it in, we get back a hook empty of water, only filled with
Space. Something stolen from us by its memory. Skin, flesh and bone, all of
   them
Torn from us under anesthesia, too deep to feel, by now we've woken up and
Understand there's something missing and oh if only we could just go back, go
   back to
Valley, nameless and knownless, I just know it's a valley, a smudge between a
   horn and a
Weeping river of frozen rips that pile like great heaps of sand, a desert of
   disaction. Point
X lost as much as we, a part of our soul somewhere between and somewhere
   in these all, and unknown
Y a junction and we go down both our arms that are chopped off at the wrist,
there's nowhere else to go but
Z, the very end of our journey, where we look at the red blooms of hands, and
we move on, with our brief day.

Bring me God and let me crush his soul.

The iron maiden births my hatred
That pools onto the floor
And loses itself in this cell
In echoes bouncing off these walls
As they realize there's no out,
So they die. And my throat has no more
Shreds to tear anyway.

God is self-righteous,
It's only a question
Of whose self it is,
Because somebody's
Crushing my soul.

This memory, this awareness,
Blacker sharper than obsidian,
Left to cool alone after the eruption
A million years ago
In a galaxy a million lightyears away.

God's wrath is a feather to mine,
Mine is the Earth that pulls it down,
Always. There is somewhere,
I don't know where, nobody does,
But there is somewhere, a bird
Sings, and she sings softly my soul
Into longing. It's a song only heard by sailers,
Because the singer is so lovely
That all who went to her
Have never returned.

I'm looking at death.
What do you see?
I see, a. . . i see a light, and it comes after me.
What do you do?
Run. I run behind a tree and it starts running after me and then I'm running from me.
What do you do?
I go by the swords of the stars in fear from afar and I lean in and I grab a hilt and I pull the blade, edge gleaming.
Then what happens?
My heart sinks as I realize with this sword I am no match for the force of darkness that lays siege to every star at every single moment, even right now, as we speak.
What else. . . ?
. . . And I'm a maggot on a carcass of dead stars. . . galaxies. . . and if they could choose they probably wouldn't want me to be here.

Simmering. The monsters beneath us
Rising above us by our descent
Into madness. The water
Is boiling, and soon they'll
Overtake us.

Come, Beatrice, she says,
Holding out her hand, a look
On her face like a miracle.
I've come to take you,
And you, and you
To see the throne.

Throne of whom?

The Father, our savior, our peace.

But what have we done to deserve this?

You've broken the law. Why else would you deserve mercy?

What law?

Thou shalt not ******, and ye've murdered God. This is the heart
Of every law.

He gave us the means to his own destruction. Should he not be punished?

Punished for his own secondhand ******?

Punished for his punishment of us for his own secondhand ******.

At this, the light of Her Lady's face drained, and she faded,
And we were left alone, back again at home,
Like we always were.

Driving and driving and driving. I'm, I like this. My life
Is a dog eye and the foot of a butterfly. There's love in the clouds.
I watch it sprinkling down, commencing down, soft thunder,
Hard lightning. . . harder thunder, rainrainrainrain. The dull sword
Of the sound of trees coming down. Love. The rain cloud. An apple
Orchard of life. Untouched. My heart. Somewhere off in
The distant constellations I hear the drop
Of some writer's pen, as it listens within
And the magnificence of the symphony
Surpasses all expression, so by its own intention
Jumps off a cliff.

Jasper 1d
I'm going to die alone. That's no complaint, a declaration.
Not of independence, of demise. A declaration of freedom, nonetheless.
Freedom from this false equivalency of
There's somebody for everybody,

Death is a lover--
She'll never leave your bed,
And she'll take no other lover,
Because there is only one soulmate
Out there.

I'm striving to be. That's it. Existence
Is a chore. How can I sleep when my
Bones ache, heart drowns, eyes rage
At the abuse of it? How can I almost
Make it - this long? How can I hopefully
Blink and stop my life's bleeding? It's
A cherishing sight. A cherishing sight.
And it's all that I could hope to be.
My life is not a daydream, and that's

Help needed
Jasper 1d
A tear falls down,
And all the rest with it.
My restraint pushed aside
Weakness blurs my eyes.
Pathetic's my true name,
*******'s my true name,
Living's my falsity,
Dying's my wish and there's a genie
Who'll come right out the barrel.
I want to be beaten,
Every rug needs a good beating,
I want to bleed I want bruises
To color me a different color,
I want to be made to look like
Something else. Beat me
To the edge of death, my body
Into mush, into jelly, just like my heart.
Put me to death, execution,
Lingchi, thin-bristled strokes
And I'm the artist. Death
Is my release from this conscience
That your anger shapes.
I'm sorry for angering you
I've never meant nothing by it,
If killing equals forgiveness
And forgiveness equals forgetting
Then please let me forget.
I'm dying here already so slow, so slow,
And I'd like a painkiller but they
Can't reach my soul without
A strong enough dose.
My existence has stitches
That are prison bars,
I can't believe I'm still here.
Somebody come and do it.
I'll be there with you
Every second of the way.
I'm loyal
That way.
