I saw your face upturned at the darkened sky,
And as you reached for the moon,
Kissing her softly,
The stars glittered with bitterness.

I admired you, the boy that the moon loved.
I saw your lips dance across the night,
Watched you pull at the blanket of the sky,
And I understood the jealousness of the stars.

Because even if your eyes were full of starlight,
Your lips still bore her moonbeams.

I want to surround myself with photographs at my feet.
I want to explore and have adventures with my camera in hand.
I want to get up early in the morning to see the sun rise and see drops of dew on the grass.
I want to walk around at night and see the city lights shine.
I want to count the stars as I lie down on a field of grass and play Us Against the World.
I want to write in a leather notebook all my thoughts.
I want to have a bonfire and watch all my memories burn in the flames.
I want to curl up on the couch and read as the sun warms my skin.
I want to sleep at 2 am and wake up to the birds chirping outside my window.
I want to remind myself of why I fell in love with photography and writing.
I want to go back to makes me me.

King and Queen of the castle sit entangled in each other,
Walls made of blankets keep them warm and safe.
An ambient amber light shines in ever so slightly,
showing the impeccable outline of the King's face.
The Queen curls up in her King's lap,
she hugs her knees to her chest,
his fingers dance across her skin, while
music plays softly in the background.
They lay together often exchanging 'I love you's.
The Queen is more than a little pleased and the King is at peace.
They stay nestled into each other forever, never moving.
For my King who makes me blanket forts.

Bubbles of light come through the blanket he uses as a curtain.
A shield against the frightful world filled by ragged people with scabs for eyes.
How I wish I too wish I could not view this disintegrating pile of ash and ****.
So I'll sit.
In this room.
With this blanket
and my thoughts.

one time i woke up alone
and it was cold-
                          -er than ice
the air
held its breath
and my own
suffocated
          as it escaped
          frozen lips

s i l e n t

i woke up with
the inside of my head
and the outside of my heart

                         out
onto the hard cot and
it was like
                          i was screaming

silent w h i t e screams
in my misery

alone.

but then someone came
with a warm blanket
     wrapped it around me
gave me a warm mug of
     tea
and also

a black
box

so i threw everything away
and the box was
          heavy, but i
             haven't seen it since

       i wrapped myself tighter
       under the blankets
   retreated back
with my
steaming tea
and i couldn't see anyone
      but

i could feel
His gentle stroke on my cheek
                        as i breathed
                 softly
           back
       to
sleep

I want to be miles from anybody but you.
I want to be wrapped up in each other,
I want white tangled sheets and your skin on mine.
Maybe in an abandoned tree house or a lighthouse.
All I need is a bed and you
and security from anything else in this world.
I want my vision to bounce off of the hairs on your head
and the teeth that live on the left side of your smile
and my favorite freckle of yours that you wont even ever notice.
I want our heartbeats to slow dance and our hands to wander.
I want our thoughts to discuss what our hands already know
as they search for gasps from each other's lungs.
I want to explore your realm of ecstasy for hours
then tuck your body into mine under the clouds
everyone else would call a blanket.

We'll forget what time is and feed only on each other's pleasure.
I want to escape anything outside of you
and I want you to take me away from any thought I've ever had
that doesn't exist solely because of you.

The harsh winter
Could not freeze the heart
Blanketed with love

You're the answer that can never be found. You were my muse. I imagine you are this blanket caressing me, clinging to all the contours of my body. Oh, if you were here now, the sweet secrets I would whisper to you. The innocent cheek kisses. But you are not here, and now all that I am left with is this blanket.

The winds softly whisper,
Singing a gentle romantic tune,
As dusty pink roses ... bathed in dewdrops,
Leaving a pleasant fragrance,
In attune.

When the petals sway and unfold,
Into the tender breeze,
'Neath the lucent moon,
And the sky sparkle like diamonds,
Twinkling from above ... with ease.

Overlooking a refine emerald blanket,
Surrounded by sprinkles of white smooth pebbles,
Beside a lovely exotic tree,
On this playful summers night,
And it seems quite special.

slow tiredness infiltrates my body
dulling the senses.
and dragging my limb downs
into the abyss

darkness surrounding me like a blanket
taking away my thoughts
numbing the feeling

it's a complete shutdown
the crown has fallen long ago
so this is no longer my town

just a ruined place
that lost the race
it couldn't keep up the pace

a place I dare not show my face
