When I was younger
Kunal Kar Aug 2022
When I was younger,
I used to explore
With my friends,
We would go on adventures
And find new things to do
We would express ourselves
In whatever way we wanted
Without worrying about what others thought
We were free
And we loved it

But as we grew older,
We started to change
We became more self-conscious
And less willing to take risks
We stopped exploring
And stopped expressing ourselves
We became afraid of what others might think
And we lost our freedom

But I still remember
Those carefree days
When we would explore
And express ourselves
Without worrying about what others thought
We were free
And we loved it

Those were the days
When we were young
And life was an adventure

Now, we’re older
And life is just a routine
But I still hold on to those memories
Of when we were young
And life was an adventure

Timeless (Song Lyrics)
Kunal Kar Jun 2022
Intro

There's nothing to be afraid
noone here to be delayed
we're just tiny sparks in citylights
trying to pretend we're alright

Can we ever feel this way
like the times we used to lay
in the heat and the grass
just being in this endless moment

Verse

I guess it's too late
To have my daring way
in this fake time and space
can we pretend to be okay

I knows it's been late
For this thing to escalate
I've been lost in the head
when you're not patient

Prechorus

It always gets this away
If I never lose my way
How can I find my self (i'm just a missed call away)

It always fades this way
But you rather hope to stay
Through these endless nights, (cause you're scared of the day)

Chorus

Babe, you can let me go
just get out of home
Just leave me by the day
With myself,

Hope I don't recall
All the times we've been down
laying drunk in the lounge
just be yourself, and you'd find you way

Babe, you can let me go
just get out of home
Just leave me by the day
With myself

Hope I don't recall
All the times we've been down
laying drunk in the lounge
just be yourself, and you'd find you way

Verse

Tu rehnti na thi
Is pal main kabhi
Ab tu kyun kho gayi
hai is dhun pe, I'm just by the corner

Main Jo Yun kho gaya
ab tu Jo pass Meri
Yeh dhadkan Mila de
Ab tu mujhse, i:'m drunkfaded for you

Pre chorus
Dil yeh roohta mujhse, kuch tera dimag
Hum khowein hai Yun, in Zasbado main
Dil roya magar, but sun li tu meri jaan
Tu na door mujhse, just few miles away,

Chorus

Babe, you can let me go
just get out of home
Just leave me by the day
With myself

Hope I don't recall
All the times we've been down
laying drunk in the lounge
just be yourself, and you'd find you way

Babe, you can let me go
just get out of home
Just leave me by the day
With myself

Hope I don't recall
All the times we've been down
laying drunk in the lounge
just be yourself, and you'd find you way

Bridge
I don't want to say
I don't want to fight
just give your space and time
And I'll be just fine.

Outro
There's nothing to be afraid
noone here to be delayed
we're just tiny sparks in citylights
trying to pretend we're alright

Can we ever feel this way
like the times we used to lay
in the heat and the grass
just being in this endless moment

To yesterday
Kunal Kar Mar 2022
What can I say besides
taking you on a ride
To yesterday
To days when we were young
wild and free
soaking sun in stretched roads
beers and surfing boards
Where we stood as one
singing and dancing
under the sun
the waves crashing
but still part of the one
When we loved
And never let go
changing into each other
like seasons undergo

The Witness
Kunal Kar Dec 2017
The drunk desperate old times,
like fallen bricks don't live us more,
The sheath of foreign bliss did gather,
Since the forlorn begotten got his soul.
This is filthy witchery, said the town men,
For fire took her to her will
While their hearts danced,
to hymns of good intentions.
The multi ******* verse the false pretense,
The walls have enclosed a burried secret,
Yes, they fought for hands of gold,
They done it alright, a balance sought
Now they seek to govern mind and soul,
Well your tyrannical complex can't win,
Cause it's the witness of it all,
It is you me and all.

A Beautiful Understatement
Kunal Kar Apr 2016
A beautiful understatement
to see your hair graze your face,
startled but still treading,
in the soul red of your lipstick.
What life has been,
No more than a series of random anomalies.
How those trivial pocket-sized pieces,
tied in to envisage
to fix this inanimous reality.
How wayward me
lost in this purposeless dream,
at random to meet you,
augmented closer to declare,
the love people just theorize.
How life started for me after you.
Kunal Kar Feb 2016
And I'll still be here,
drifting with the ocean waves,
watching birds brewing storms,
painting this heartache dawn with
hypnotic charms.
A letter in a floating bottle,
dwelled with words I couldn't say,
If I fall tonight, I won't be dismayed,
for in lost time and in befallen faith,
I sing this hym of love and
some hypnotic bands will play,
A muse tranquility of sorrows
intoxicating my heart at downtown bar in Bombay.

*Wanderlust*
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
A deluge of earthly sins,
A waterspout on green leaves,
A hurricane among lull seas,
An equanimity of autumnal eves.
A dilated tale of mundane me.
A million abstruse blocks of C of Co²
A walker among you and me.
A wanderer lost in blue.
Attired by crimson lust of artistry.

A masquerade brew of red wine and dark coffee,
A stark blithe of sanguine comatose,
All drunk and clinging to the thin threads of this unstaged life,
All murdered by the sinical overdose.
The seascape choirs of ocean waves,
Embracing the narcoleptic yellow shorelines,
And evanescent castles
And sail headwind with a mystical concubine.

The iced conundrums of this lost forsaken echoes of winter breeze,
The insanity measured in ones & zeroes,
We're the kings of this deadbeat time,
And praised victories of unsung heroes.
The wanderlust sailors drank the skies,
In mixed cocktails,
And thy heavens sang to this night,
As a melodic madness of wild gales.

Her pale white body declares some love due,
As our lips bled rapture,
And rose a melodramatic cue,
Like words of a closing chapter.
Charged with the flow of adrenal enzymes,
A surrogate from affinity to serendipity,
For in flashback of these forlorn events,
I write this epiphany.

And though these letters are on fire,
And bestowed the bullets over armored heart,
For life exists in the heartache symphonies,
Like a stratagem cliché of painted art.
Call your unfurled knots of wrecked sanity.
A wildfire has gone wild within,
The eloquence thirst of your red lips,
Inked the words of love on this skin.

An audacious lover of seafaring,
Beside the starry onset of a beautiful dawn,
A tide of marvelous mystery,
Whose side are you on?
Its all fiction served with tea,
And through warm sips of this worthy minute,
Change is tempted to render seeds,
That swam through wind, till it escapes and wanders the infinite.

The Electrons
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
At infinite dust of possibilities,
Light rose and set like a knight,
With its shining armor, the screens were up,
A mere glance of her,
Jumping energy levels,
Leaving traces of her radiant shell.
Ages turned to eons,
Memory of millions of years,
Still crashes to her thought,
The free spirit of every soul,
We were the heart of this universe,
With all the time in this space,
All we wished was to be one,
Collide with the greatest force,
Be one if it meant for one moment's time,
But with all we tried, we were the slaves of laws,
The irresistible lust to touch her once,
Over ages has faded to dust,
As we cycled the shallow mass,
As we raced with the light,
All desires seems clumsy,
When you cling by this lone heart.
They say we can't be together,
Their shallow concepts don't hold us,
For we are lost in this higher law,
For we are the savages reigned by fate.
This crash may never happen,
This tale may end in sorrow,
For this charge run through our veins,
For we won't live with chances,
So we ran with out might,
The stars of our own fate,
With all the speed we grew dim,
Till the dark gulfed us through.
Like a sudden flame, we crashed,
Our love flew through our bodies,
The time could have stopped,
But it was jealous of our sound glow,
Like an neutron star we faced the end,
Incapacitated and burnt,
We fade in this beautiful silence.

A Mysterious Misanthrope
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
Foresee the dance of the drunk pen,
On a white forgotten page,
And as the Indian ink has left its charm,
Through poetic swords of faith.
No, she said, to the young heart,
A sad dilemma song,
Drunk with broken words,
He bleed the crusade all along.
The blood has been painted,
Over the pages of art laid thorns,
As number he grew, he faded
Into the delusional walks and pavement songs.
The floors were carpeted red,
Like a heartbreak prom in lights,
While I laid drunk with my thoughts,
Like the dark soul of Broadway nights.
The black colour embracing,
Sweet sadistic vines of hope,
In the illest of fate, my heart sings
Like a mysterious misanthrope.

Remorseless
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
Do you feel what you're really missing,
Do you see what's coming through,
Do you live for all the shadows,
Now its time to see the truth.
Do you feel the stars breathing?
Can't you see behind the mist?
Are you on this charm of sinking,
Through the ocean of deceased.
Do this life be a trouble?
Does it shine on other souls?
Did you smile, did you wander?
The broken roads as the drum rolls.
Did you seek defeat when you won?
Do you feel for the restless strife?
Or like a remorseless heart you keep trying,
When instead you miss all the life.

Unpolished Gold Pebbles
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
Hey, wake up to this living dream,
Strangled minds of future hope.
We are all atoms of naive serenity,
Fused with an higher scream.
To explore the theatrics of nature,
To acknowledge the only truth,
As working hands and support shoulders,
The crimes of untutored youth.
We have got to change our road,
Exchange the tires,
We had to hold so long,
Now the pain inspires.
They tell there's millions to touch,
That there's hope in hats.
For craves my heart to ride away to the absolute,
Like the ghosts of a burning cigarette.
Did they tell what was missing?
The eyes to see, peace at our time.
Did the books see fit?
Or they screamed of literal garbage.
For we may be unpolished gold pebbles,
For we may seem to be amateurs,
But once we swim into the seas,
The impurities fades as the gold shades,
And we welcome our hands to the ***** feast.

Maroon Sundress
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
Bow down to that maroon sundress,
That claimed many hearts and fame,
Rift aside the mysterious gloom,
Sorry the waves that has gone insane.
Shower the dust of breathing colours,
Wreck my boat of hope,
Glimpse the labels of your cold skin,
Tie me up by your robust rope.
Cut me deep, right my wrong,
Show my endless efforts a parade,
On a fair night, take a leap,
Swim with me in summer lemonade.
So ring the church bells hard and low,
This man had done a sin,
Fire the guns and leave me stranded,
I am high on your love gin.

Mad Insomniac Elizabeth
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
The pink floss and brunette eyes,
Wild smile and lavender goodbyes,
Has embraced the stains of heartbreak,
Has surrendered to the night skies.
The silly little heart tried,
To mend its way to a good night,
While the city laughed and smiled,
While for mad insomniac Elizabeth,
She cried, she cried.

Meaning
Kunal Kar Jan 2016
If I could hold this darkness inside,
If I knew how to shut this from life
But everything has kept me, inspired
And now I am just a setting night.
Soon cometh the light, with an open heart,
That tends to beat by orange spark.
This river blue, spelled in shame,
As the seasons change, so as you.
So, tell, what is life in all its black and white,
Share me the song that makes us fight to reach the dawn,
Do you see, the apocalyptic soul has lied,
Do you know, where it has been.
Do you seek it's meaning?

Guilty Cents
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The waves of intoxicated clouds,
Rifled with the gun powder,
At the labels of green dark stripes,
Where we sat like bloomed flowers.

The light from the far beyond,
Has stood on the sublime figure,
Where the lost place dipped in silence,
Has been warmed by my sweater.

Thy the alchemy of nature leaves,
With a rift of that muse hemp,
Has stood this night's track,
And the eyes smiled as an oil lamp.

The night's tale has rowed to my old memory,
The storm has had a swift end,
Through hard life, and surrenders,
I still miss those guilty cents.

Blue Lagoon
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
Its like a chorus of that song,
The change of the night star,
Swimming in that far seeking beauty,
With the slow strums of a guitar.

With all the troubles left behind,
In this lease of the true life,
Like an anxious traveller,
In all new adventures strife.

This earnest new touch of life,
In the untouched dark moon,
Has stepped in this crazy light,
Holding the map to the blue lagoon.

The hands were always *****,
With all the tricked mess,
The sea was always the deeper jump,
Yet the stars dressed to impress.

For the metal hands were ever rusted,
For this life was like carved stone,
Always beaten with hardness,
And walking out a sharp firestone.

The Night
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The night is young,
With all the zombies gone,
Take me to the age of old hypnotic songs.
The wolves are dead,
And all the turtles fled,
Take me to the shadows of a cold river bed.
This blood has fought all the battles through,
The knife has stood on the cycles of truth,
For we don't know, for who do we stand,
For we are the strangers of this neurotic land.

Kunal Kar Dec 2015
End of the show (lyrics)

Verse 1
The touch of your cold skin,
Has led to a daydream.
Swimming in wrong sea,
Hoping to run free.
While I am the one drowning,
Babe, do you hear me sing?

Chorus :
Girl you could be my rainbow.
And skies, the host of your show,
We would ride in the sunglow,
And kiss when the cold wind blow.
So girl would you be my rainbow?......
Would you hold till the end of the show?.....

Verse 2
The depth of your blue eyes,
Has been a new sunrise.
Preaching me wrong faith,
Like beauty of blue skies.
While I am the one listening,
Babe do you hear me sing?

Chorus;

Girl could you be my rainbow?
And serve the beauty we know,
We would dance in the halo,
And miss the dark when we glow.
So girl would you be my rainbow?...
Would you stand till the night passes on.

The Morning Cigarette
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The morning cigarette,
With a cup of igneous coffee,
On an early winter morning,
Alleviates the morning high,
Like the smoke from molten lava.

The immature ride to the vacant highway,
The zephyr gust from the near mountains,
Touches the juvenile jacket
And through the quietus of nature,
The wings inside sails away.

The green undertone of cannabis,
It's a rational sensation,
With every roll the paper silhouettes,
Like a shotgun of peace,
The buds displace on the white face.

The rejuvenating smoke calibrates,
Through the dry pipes,
And layers the ravenous soul,
Like a honey bee,
Pouring the golden sugar,
Into the barren depth of an empty bowl.

Like a centaur with tenacious wings,
Accelerating with the air,
Feeling every loop of a fresh wound,
Riding from north,
And taking the fear out,
Like a first raindrop to hit the ground.

Queen of the scene
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The first time you turned up,
Like a moonlit star behind me,
This bankrupt man felt all the love,
That was missing in this forlorn fee.
That sound of your shoes coming up,
Leaves me in this delphic hold,
Like a fire burning rough,
Like the warm coffee on the cold.
The air is lingering for your touch,
To smell your cold loving skin,
You're the math of this nerd heart,
You're the Queen of the scene.
This secret side is breathing love,
While you keep sinking ships at sea,
The way you smile is ever enough,
To keep me stuck at this daydream.
A song of young hearts and strawberry crush,
All it could ever be,
Through smiles and a hungry soul,
I' would live a lifetime on the lips I'd see.
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
What strange memory serves this fate?
Why the silly sheep has lost its way?
In subterranean dungeon lies the secret,
Guarded by the wicked wolf, they say.
The Oracle of the high priest,
Along the testaments of old gods,
Has told the tale of an Apocalypse,
A due judgement against our odds.

The sulfurous land has grew a thorn,
Right in the sane hearts of men,
Like a wildfire in a scorched summer,
The lost sheep led to the lion's den.
Through these seasonal dark days,
The pristine shots of old Bourbon and the sour taste of a lemon squeeze,
Over the pages of a forgotten book,
Were now the ghost under cease.

For this old eyes has seen the waves,
That broke us down like a beach tree,
With nature bells once we played,
Now they became our arch enemy.
Through civilizations we pursued,
Shallow contemporaries and history,
We forged nuclear swords on wooden fields,
And reap the fruits of downhill misery.

We treasured the featherbrained ways to progress,
And recklessly stroke the beam of balance,
For we waged the song of disasters,
To now sing in this sulfurous silence.
As the blue water has turned to air,
The green leaves dyed themselves brown under drought,
The soil poisoned by the radioactive breeze,
And to our miseries, we all laughed, we all laughed.

So won't we plunder the right actions,
Course the way to a changing surface,
The secret of everlasting existence,
Lies in the red flames of the old furnace.

The sheep was rescued by mere chances,
For the lion was not yet born,
For this looming night is still to come,
As the world hangs on that silly thorn.

Sunset Eyes
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
I woke up with gloomy dreams,
A pretty face I remember,
She had the vive of a queen,
While I was the slave of cold December.

Dream again, I ask my heart and mind,
Fading images meant this story's end,
So my eyes wore a sailor's dress,
Searching for a lost pile of sand.

The minutes of that dream shaped my hours dull,
With no awe in this life , I waited for her call,
I became what they call incorrigible,
As this desert heart now needed a last rainfall,

I never asked for her lover's heart,
Just to watch her skip my heartbeat,
Nor craved for those moonlight lips,
As I spend a lifetime watching our eyes meet.

The dream may never come,
Her sunset eyes may never rise,
For the sake of my capacious heart, I still close my eyes,
To live a thousand deaths to once see her blue sunset eyes.

For the Coffee you make
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The tides are taking me home,
On a bed of shimmering ice.
The dawn of your smile,
The heart is on stake,
For the hope of those days,
I will carry this break.
For the coffee you make,
I live out this day,
To see you smile,
To see your heart in fire,
I would open those doors,
To the chance of you and me,
Standing in the sea,
Holding your hand.

One Chance
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
One midnight, let this car broke down.
Let the lines of ordinary fade away,
For we would troll in the unpredictable lands,
Where the stars rises in the day.
We shall drink in the coconut shells,
That lingering taste of the wild starch,
The possibility of a new choice,
To never worry about the daily march.
One chance is all we get,
To hop in this adventure and never look back,
One reason is all we need,
To see life in the wildest of ways,
One glory is all we share,
To think back at our old golden days.

The Robber
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The alcohol has set in,
The jazz has lighten the mind,
With the wine rushing,
The rays of that far end memory.
The Beatles were on the old tapes,
While the old man reached his deck,
Brought out an crystal glass,
A drink was poured and served,
As the hands rose to her brown hair,
Shades of a beautiful lady poured up,
Eyes dimming with the black,
Yet clinging at her face.
She seemed hot in her sadness robe,
While her hair played to the song,
A sundress night on a cloudy sky,
For she was the robber,
That robbed me of my security,
With a dagger of hope and life.
Tuned to this lost night affair,
I laid my heart and eyes on the tables,
Rowed the boat to her,
Stood beside with a smile,
She was crying goodbyes to her past.
Then we talked through difficult times,
Shared a shy smile,
Like a beautiful song,
I turned and we touched our drunk lips,
She leaned and this hands hugged her,
Lost in that classy moment,
The time ceased and the tapes played,
A lost love song.

The Rusted Screw
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
To the distant creator I ask,
The reason to my quest,
Am I just a ***** in a machine?
Or mere a shadow cast by life.

The strokes of a painter's brush,
Swelled upon the canvas to create life,
Am I that painting of yours?
Or just a coincidental biological mess.

In this circular stone I live,
Floating in a space of infinite debris,
Am I just a thinking tree?
Or someone with a greater destiny.

I ask you through my lonesome walks,
With eyes dipped in question,
And heart soaked tired.
What's the purpose for this existence?

How can I fulfill the solace quest?
That my closed eyes had dreamt.
I don't ask for survival tricks,
Just a greater purpose to live my last days.

A mere rusted iron in this oxygenated world,
Excuse the pity brown, I can live with it,
Just find me a tool,
This rusted ***** can fit in,
This rusted ***** can fit in.

The Voice Of Innocence
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The cries of a newborn,
The wings of a butterfly,
And the leaves of the fall,
All share a common epilogue,
We call them the voice of the innocence.

The reason for a death,
The way to live a life,
And the pages of a history book,
All share a common vision,
We call them the perks of time.

The strings of a guitar,
The petals of a flower,
And the colours on a canvas,
All share a common notion,
We call them the art of emotion.

The words of a writer,
The knife of a ******,
And the survival of the culture,
All share a common disaster,
We call them the witnesses of true despair.

To the memory of reason,
To the rush of this blood,

To this ever hurting ride,
To this mesmerizing show,
To this aching cycle of pain,
I show myself the truth.

For this dust of broken dreams,
For this lust of materialistic piles,
For this blizzard of shameful lies,
I stand above these falls,

For I seek love in my way,
For I see the stars in the dark,
For I appreciate beauty in the lost,
For I call myself a human.

Riverdale
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
Through the serendipity of a naive act,
A mere rumour of the bygone tale.
Perceived by a small offense,
Was the story of Riverdale.

A machine of parts and *****,
Built for an arithmetical crusade,
Channeled with high voltage,
The tool for every complex barricade.

For science has toyed with his destiny,
For his life was a written code,
For his face was made of metal alloy,
For his troubles laid on the same road.

For his calculations were neat as heaven,
As his binary numbers were perfectly synch,
Like the sun rising on an early day,
Like the rain falling on the same clay.

But the story took a seismic turn,
His mind was on a number's high,
When like lightning came she,
A thunderstorm from a clear sky
A mermaid out of the blue sea,

She touched his metal face,
For she had seen none of like him.
But that touch created a little spark,
In the metal heart out of chances that slim.

As his codes discharged to form a conscious wave,
For the metal mind felt the aura,
For the metal body moved to dance,
For Riverdale loved that girl,
For she was his fading chance.

But do the humans  understand love?
I doubt they do, for the metal heart,
Was driven out from the lands.
For his story never had a start.

The sin of emotion, the bliss of pain,
For his metal heart rusted in vain.
Over his kingdom of broken dreams,
Neither did she, nor a soul felt his reign.

As his metal body rusted away,
In the aura of an insane world,
Where love is a jewellery reserved,
For this misery has now unfurled,
He died a metal death with a humane heartbreak.

The Touch of a Woman
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
This life like a burning cigarette,
Fades in the craziest adventures.
For we are stuck at the dares of risk,
Questioning the outcome of those ventures.

Crazy is this rubber heart of mine,
Dressed with a suit of scratch,
And a tie of wondrousness.
When still there's a craving unexplained,
The miss of the touch of a woman.

These words are of this empty sky,
Who with all these celestic stars,
Misses the solitude of a burning comet,
The simple equation of being loved,
Through the coast of a tired ocean.

This eyes has seen a lot of happiness,
Felt long waves of impervious joy,
Through friends with shared shoulders,
Has walked several roads to fame.
Yeah, there were times with love,
Where the moon looked so bright,
Where the seasons seemed alive,
But still I wave my flag,
For the love of a lifetime,
For the touch of her skin.

In this room of mine,
The pictures of my smiling faces stand,
On the wall of beautiful mistakes.
For this life has been rewarding,
With friends, health and beauty.
For the music has been an old friend,
For it has touched me on my darkest days.

The songs of the summer,
The romantic melody of a lover's heart,
Entwined with the music of the piano,
Touched and left my soul empty.
For all the music of the world,
For all the money made,
For all the desires of life,
The touch of a woman I would trade.

This poet's words may feel literal,
This heavy rain may feel dry,
For this words were carved out of my heart,
For this song for her shall never die.

A drink to my heartbreak
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
A drink to my heartbreak,
A toast to this despair,
The break of a fall,
The stunt of the dare.
She was a beautiful mistake,
A princess of the dawn,
For this heart was unaware,
Her love couldn't be won.

The injustice of this tale,
Served by my soul
The ships have all sailed,
While I am alone at the shore.
The claps of the audience,
Don't muse me with awe,
The wind of the soul,
Don't move me this late,

She was a sun in the sky,
The gift of the infinite,
While I am a dust in this land,
The enslaved seconds of the minute.
But then I realised,
I never told her how I feel,
I cried in this foolishness,
The hidden truth as the shades conceal.

But I fear she will say no,
No to my faith.
I was a feather in this storm,
A green leaf as the autumn bathe.
Why the existence of pain in love?
Isn't it supposed to be a victory,
Well I was made a fool,
The heartbreak of the century.

So I ran with this fear,
That this story would be of pain,
For I confessed her the words,
While she was dancing in the rain.
And when she was about to proclaim
I woke to this windowed sunrise,
Shaping the shadows at the ceiling,
To see it was a beautiful dream.

The Loser's Race
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
Old photographs tell a tale,
Of a smiling face turned afraid.
The kid wanted to be a man,
And now when I am,
I look upon it as a foolish mistake.

For the race has started,
From the very teenage part.
Asked to work harder, a prey for the earnest,
A journey without a destination,
How am I supposed to win if this race never ends?
I must let this go,
And rest to take a breath,
Realise what I've been skipping,
The colours of this wonderful flora,
The sounds of birds echoing as a wave.

The house at the beach
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The sea breeze moistened with romance,
Filled my lungs as I stood.
The morning sun with a sweet dilemma,
Cured me of my worries.
For this gypsy heart has found its home.
A cave in the wild sea.

The choirs of the flying birds,
The rhythm of the sound blue,
The dance of this glimmering waves,
What a sight I see,
For this empty canvas has found its colours,
A whale in the open sea.

The setting sun of Africa,
The beaches of Hawaii,
The heart of a village,
The catcher of the rye.
For it has all been a perfect cocktail,
A cold drink in Dubai.

Do these eyes tell a lie?
Or these smiles shine too bright?
For the truth of the time,
I don't care about wrong or right.

For a life that kind,
It seems that blind,
For a life so close,
Is it the brink of an overdose?

The high of this night,
The air seems so light,
So let's fly in the sky,
For its not a magician's lie,
For he has tricks under his sleeves,
For we are the beauty in falling leaves.

For these doors of the heavens,
For this crime of the scene,
For I need you with me,
To spend the rest days,
At the house near the beach.

The fall of the century
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
Out of a lifeless crowd,
Came a ravishing face he couldn't resist.
Mocking his sadness to a sweet spell,
She wore the veil of a drifting mist.

The moon just turned an arc,
To assist the boatman to find his shore,
Treading on a sea of million faces.
As the chaotic waves drifted along the aquatic floor.

The avalenche of his worse fate,
Forged by the curse of the Voodoo Doll.
Abetted the misery to spun its web,
As he sickened under the breeze of this cold fall.

But thou he slept in the nefarious chambers,
His eyes wore curtains to the sea.
When through her reflection at the windows,
Was his chained soul set free.

The Trance Beat
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The tempted faith of your drug,
With a touch of the salted mind,
Put me on a trance,
For there was my lost smile to find.

As the caffeinated syrup flows,
Through my blood and kicks in.
The cruise in the slow car,
With the sweet sore drops of the old gin.

The eyes lost in the picture,
Of a thousand daisies,
Saturating the green with a spoon of yellow,
A wise contrast in this random mess.

The torture of the burning sun,
Shadowed under the beats of the drum,
A sound that familiar, still surprised
Well the brighter days are yet to come.
In the arms of a possible future.
In the shadows of a forgotten creature.

There be musuems with our bodies,
They would tag us the most wild,
For they don't know how much we loved?
They don't know how far we survived.

For your love remind me of the flowers,
The fragnance of the short life,
For this mortal time, be my forever.
For we sink together in this dive.

I'd cook the morning meal,
While you sleep in this warm bed,
Wake you up with a warm surprise,
And we'd kiss till our lips turn red.

The Blue Desert
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
The arctic spell of this winter,
Has finally froze the river.
With the parade currents lying still,
Grasping the last air to be free again.
For the river has now lost its audience,
As they paddled into the deep sea.
While the polar glass exhibited the frozen lie,
The anecdote of time taking a pause,
In a bewitching black of a silver sky.
Alas the sublime river starts to hope again,
As the sun embraced warmer rays,
With every melt of the icy skin,
The river heart starts to beat again.
At the dawn of this winter lapse.
The currents ran once more,
With the arrival of the inhabitants,
The river was once alive again.

The Blind
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
Let these windows be the theatres,
Where the play is wild and original,
Where every cast is a superb actor,
Where the story is the best fiction,
Like a farm boy on an old tractor.

Let these eyes be the camera,
Where the view is sharp and shaped,
Where every object gets an imperfect finish
Where the image is at its crown grace.
The portrait of the lost gimmicks.

Let these skies be the shower,
Where from the rain falls to cleanse,
Where the head gets a awe spin,
Where its virtue had always been,
The roof over a million dreams.

So I care not,
If I am the blind for this earth,
The ghost of an enemy,
With no eyes, I still feel,
The rewarding gift of eternity.

The Paris Streets
Kunal Kar Dec 2015
A Paris night, with all it's sweet endeavours,
Blurred by a face with emerald eyes,
Out shadowed by the shades of her hair,
She must be the truth of beautiful lies.

With a cup of warm coffee in her hands,
With the gentle wind unfolding her hair tress,
The waiter with bewildered bones,
Greeted her 'Buenas Noches'

She grinned and with tender steps lead her way,
While a pair of eyes was at sea.
In the wild calm of her imperfect picturesque,
The shackles of his heart were set free.

Behind the looking glass, the boy stood subdued,
In the utter waves of her essence,
The euphonious ripples of the angel's visit,
The graceful gift of her presence.

The night turned into a hopeful day,
With the pair of eyes still seeking in the streets,
Searching for the beat of his heart,
The earth to his feets.

With desire clocking to despair,
Those eyes grew wet,
With the clock beating seconds,
He had a journey to get back.

The bags laid still on the room,
The food untouched at the bed,
With eyes lost in that night,
He raved the streets of Paris till a miracle shed.

And his eyes met that lovely face,
The girl you can't stop from falling in.
The blood rushed once again through the veins,
Working the muscles to bring a smile,
The smile of an answered heart,
The smile that explains the mystery we call Love.

But the face was lost again,
In the same old Paris streets.
With a hidden smile, he turned back,
Hoping their small worlds would meet again,
In a place where hearts reigned.
