Drowning in your words,
I'm going down,
down,
down

I'm drowning in your words
with a smile,
and not
a frown

From across the desert come a caravan
of desperate, hungry souls

Their body so tired, their eyes so dry
They altogether break down and begin to cry

When looking upon a distant horizon
And see a shiny sparkling star glittering
for all to see

So close, yet so far

My favorite creatures of the night-
Sometimes after midnight
They fly around the neighborhood
and call out loudly "Who"
And then sometimes repeatedly,
they cry,  "Who, who, who"

Sitting here all alone,
dreaming of the way things could've been

You know why important people always say;
Follow your gut instinct

Because it could really save your day,
and maybe even more
like your life

Look, there goes a dog with almost his whole body
out the driver's side window

and I'm still trying to erase these mental images
from my mind
the guy in the green t'shirt
who was pulling his underwear
out of his crack earlier

And the plus size woman who's dress
blew all the way up
at CVS

Woa! Windy day surprises aren't for
the faint of heart

Was just thinking of all the people
who lived and died

How many people could there be?
Millions, billions, trillions

And every single person's unique
with their own individual story

So astonishing

Just imagine
if you were an apple
an orange, a banana,
a peach, a pear
All day you could hang
from a tree limb
And no one would care
Unless they were hungry

Words I admire,

"Oh!, was one of those amazing Friday afternoons
When I was enjoying a steaming cup of coffee
Along with a biscotti and imagining a perfect world
You know one of those perfect worlds
that exists in other suburbs, and other zipcodes
So I turned to poetry my favorite past time
and hoped to find meaning there
And you know what they say, whoever they are
They all say this, everyone of them,
so I imagine there must be some truth to their words
, "Fate is in charge of our destinies"
So I read your words flying through the matrix
Each rhythmic line, each word, each syllable
And I thought, "Hey this poet is onto something"
As those poetic words stopped me in my tracks
and held me starstruck and spellbound
Stunned, Yes poet I was more than stunned
Kind of like when I rode across the southern sky
In a gold chariot pulled along by Sirius
Though now as I finish my coffee and biscotti
I can only  imagine and wonder

Where mother earth is most beautiful
And the majority live in poverty
My heart cries, "Why must this be so,
In this great land of plenty?"

Come let's climb those high mountains
And gaze over the horizon
Let's see for ourselves how our brothers
and sisters live with so little

Come with me and see amidst this place
where the sun shines so beautifully
and hunger lies upon children's faces
like an oil spill upon the sea

Come let's extend our hand with compassion
And offer our family some help
Let's forget of buying the latest fashion
and giving money to corporations.

Whatever shall be, shall be, shall be
Our lives are all woven together, like embroidery
And like those long gone poets from long ago
We take our pen and let words flow
And just know that whatever shall be, shall be
And is bigger than all of us, you and me
So begin take your pen and let those words go
Write poetry of the sun, the wind, and the snow
And just remember, just know
We're all pieces, just another part of the whole
Just like those poets from long ago

Please everyone
Let's save the Earth for future generations
For all the people and animals
not yet born

For those who will enjoy our poetry
for many centuries to come
After every one of us has passed away
and gone

Let's save the Earth and let her change naturally
Let her divide her continents
and crumble her mountains to the sea
Let's not take the path and achieve this for her

Let's save the Earth for future explorers of space
So they can see our planet in its full beauty
When they look upon our Earth,
Tears of love will be streaming down their face
as they look upon with awe

Let's save the Earth
For all those who will live upon our planet
hundreds of years from now
Please let's leave them all a beautiful place
to call home

Before existence
Before the land and the sea
Before you and me
Before even time was born
the spirit of creation
decided to create something
super special,
A universe,
with planets, stars, comets
and asteroids
Maybe even more than one
universe
And so with the universe
The great spirit
created a wondrous concept,
Time!
The great spirit says,
"I can do better than this
I can create
Life!"
And so,
the great spirit created
a huge variety
Of plants and flowers
and trees!
Then smiled pleasantly,
and says,
"I've created a home for life!"
and then creates more life,
animals,
Beautiful animals
of all types!
Afterwards the great spirit
looked upon his creation
and thought,
"There seems to be something missing,"
then in a loud voice shouts,
"Eureka!"
pointing towards the heavens,
instantly
there was a sonic boom,
and a roar of thunder
as lightning
struck the ground
"Yes!,"
thought the great spirit
I must create spirits like me
Creative beings with spirits,
and a desire to create
and so it was,
The great spirit created human beings
human beings with beautiful spirits
and a love for creating
and human beings
with an evil spirit
and a will to destroy all
of creation
Then the great spirit thought,
"My spirit creations in their bodies
will eventually
grow tired of creating,
And will not wish to stay forever
So I will give my spirit creations
a gift of time"
And so the great spirit
gathered boxes,
both large and small
And some pretty wrapping paper
Vivid and colorful
with various designs,
Then broke pieces of time
from the whole,
and sliced some pieces of time
from the whole,
like slicing a gourmet pizza
Then these pieces were gift wrapped,
and tied with pretty bows
with name tags
for each recipient
And so pieces of time is the gift
for all of beings of life
plants, animals, and human
and what of the giver?
Will he someday ask,
"What have we done with  
Our gift of time?"

Upon this gorgeous, pleasant day birds fly,
and clouds float across the sky
Everything feels right with the world
Even though we know our earth is changing,
and with climate change affecting our oceans
raising the temperature unbelievably
we know someday all the fish will die,
and we know someday with deforestation
all the animals will die
So sad humanity yearns for the largest
piece of pie

Hi, Mr. Handsome Superstar
walking through the grocery store

You're not a god, you're not Thor
You're only mortal and nothing more

So why would anyone place
you upon a pedestal?

Amazingly,
an untold number of animals
live upon this planet

This planet is not only our home
but theirs as well

Yet, humanity stands Alone
And is solely responsible
for destroying
This Planet

Love is the book you always wanted to read

Time is a spinning wheel
spinning day and night
spinning, spinning, spinning
spinning away our life

Wish I were an astronaut
on a spectacular spaceship,
somersaults and backflips
would be my thing,
photographing planets
earth, jupiter and mars,
saturn and venus
and admiring all the stars,
Then land on the moon
and fall in love
As I feel my mind expand,
listening to the music
of our universe

Wind blows all around
Yellow flowers dot the ground
My hair's all a mess

Hey everyone, let's chat about happiness
I just finished reading a poem on the front page
of death and sadness
It's totally heartbreaking when someone
feels so low
But a beautiful enchanting thing when someone
feels happy and they glow

Once upon a time, someone once said to me
Make yourself happy
no one is responsible for your happiness
and no one should be responsible
for your sadness
Think of your emotions as a galloping horse
and you hold the reins

You know they say, money can't buy happiness
Yet, no matter what they say
money does play a part in happiness
though certainly money doesn't buy love
but as one famous cowboy strums guitar strings
and in his best country voice sings
"Money can buy me a boat
and a truck to pull it"

So your feelings are up to you, take control
and make yourself happy

What is fairness?
Is anything fair?

Just knowing
everyone
isn't allotted
the same amount of time
makes life
seem so unfair

When I look upon the beauty of  the sea
And each of those many creatures
living there in peace and harmony

I imagine a love paradise of such intensity
with stunning color so amazing

Colors so ephemeral and silky translucent
Vivid dream colors only in our dreams
Color beyond beautiful
Dream color

Zoom, zoom, zoooom.......
I'm traveling back in time
to the famous year of 1492
where with metamorphosis
I'll become a raging wind,
A wild hurricane of the sea
I'll throw ships off course
and provoke mutiny

One of the world's wealthiest
persons on the planet
And if wealth is translated
into power
then certainly one of the
most powerful
Mark Zuckerberg
creator of a huge popular website
known as Facebook
spun a simple idea
from a class Yearbook
or so in my imagination
Yet, this priceless idea
is an elastic rubberband
stretching around the world
uniting everyone
into a Huge Happy Family
with no privacy
This once in a lifetime idea
is pouring gazillions of cha-ching
upon Zuckerberg's head
and leaves many wondering,
will he begin considering
using his cha-ching
to become the next Superhero
and save the world
doing everything in his power
to stop diseases, monsters
and slow this ever growing
homeless population
in America,
Will he?

A summer story told
Truth,
the keeper of honesty
and
all things bright
holds the pretty red apple
into the light
of the midday sun
and then proceeds to
Cut
it to the core
since
this is the only way
she can decide
to devour this
apple
or enjoy something else
more

Truth is our grand universe of stars
Shining never ending light
into the darkness
helping everyone to see their
way

Tears fall both day and night falling, falling
a heartbreaking cry of mother earth

Doesn't anyone hear the sound of sadness
in the song of every songbird?

There's an echoing cry deep in every valley
a tremble in every tree

And with each piercing cry upon the wind
And every howl of pain

Never ending tears flow and flow like rivers
mixing in with the rain

And with every animal scurrying for cover
searching for a place to hide

Rivers of poison keep on flowing and  flowing,
down every mountainside

Alas, boulders and stones have awakened
from their slumber long, so long

And they've begun engraving epic poetry,
brilliant pieces like a sad song

A gift for you and me

What has this world come to,
Grown men are hurting children

Physically
Sexually
Mentally

Turning children into Zombies,
and scaring them so bad

They say nothing to their mommies

Decorated eggs
Small bunnies and baby chicks,
Baskets full of Love

Moon shining so bright
Eiffel tower standing Tall
Lovers kiss and kiss

Five frogs hop along
And splash in a nearby pond,
after french kissing

Today scorching hot,
Ants wearing siver spacesuits
traversing the dune

Mermaids and pirates
Spending this night together,
A hot starry night

News from the artic,
When 3 polar bears appear
Walrus disappear

When 2 stars collide
Something magical happens,
A new star is born

In a rainforest
admiring everything green,
A blue butterfly

On a warm spring breeze
dances, kisses, dreams, and smiles
love for everyone

A small beetle sleeps
inside a white flower bloom,
sleeping so soundly

Pelicans praying,
A crocodile goes away
amen and amen

The butterfly fish
so graceful, so elegant,
leaps out of danger

A mother's love is forever enduring
Standing brave through adversity
Even when baby takes a fall
A mother does what a mother does
Stay with baby that's her call
He's her baby afterall

Oh please stop, Stop now
Leave him alone, Stop fighting
Go your merry way!

A rainbow swam past,
Colorful and beautiful
tropical fishes

Below ocean waves,
Giant squid larger than ships
Enjoy their home

When it comes to eggs,
Fried, scrambled, hard-boiled,
Sunny side up

Doesn't matter which way
Eggs are like so super amazing
anytime night or day

When at the beach in summer
with the sun glistening off the sea
and seagulls flying here and there,
I lie upon the white sandy beach
and dream of eternity

Emerald city's genuine goddess of all things green
Slept upon a grassy field where does live flowers yellow
beside the greatest garden ever generously growing
sweet green grapes,
ginger, guava, greens, and ginseng
underneath a starry constellation comforter
contentedly
with a soft lullaby from a nice nightingale ,
and a warm smile from an adoring mystical moon
She slept soundly the whole night through

Both mother earth and the shining moon
desire the sparkling sea
for their very own
Every time the moon comes close
a tug of war happens
The shining moon pulls with the strength
of a thousand man
Yet, is unable to pull the sparkling sea
from mother earth's hand

Love the sky
Love the land
Love the sea
They are a part
of you and me
