There's a void
in every heart,
only love can
fill.

How far have we come?
Our masquerading insanity,
Egotistical sensuality
We bask in the luxury
Of our miserable depravity

Tumultuous cries and sweet lies,
It's only a state of mind
We malice, not chastise,
And give birth to anarchy

The world was an empty bliss
Reveled in the vast starlit sky
Now consumed by the beast inside,
Our inglorious unbecoming

O sinisinta,
bayaan mo akong
ika’y ibigin,

Hinihiling ko lang
na ika’y
mapasa-akin,

Sa Diyos,
pag-ibig mo’y
aking panalangin,

Gumuho man
ang mundo’y,
di ko aalalahanin!

Parang kay tagal ng oras
‘pag hindi kita kasama,
Ngunit kay bilis lumipas
‘pag sayo’y napalapit na.

Bawat araw na ginawa ng
Maykapal ay nasa isip ka,

O Pag-ibig ng buhay ko,
Ito na nga’y
tunay na pagsinta!

Ibig kong malaman
**** ika’y
aking sinisinta,

Laman
sa mga
panaginip’t
hanap-hanap ng
aking
mga mata,

Hindi mo man paniwalaa’y
aking uulit-ulitin,

Sa puso ko’y
ikaw
at walang
ibang
umaangkin.

Baby* stay with me
just linger here for a while

Maybe
we’ll be together
forever
with a smile

On your face I see
eternity coming to beguile
Me
as if
I’m walking with you
down the aisle

Tell me
how this Payne’s Gray of yours
struck me in the eye

So wonderful
lately I’m in a state of daze
and my face just can deny

Like a bunch of rose petals
falling down from the sky
Straight to the bedlike-cobwebs
where you and I
lie

The strands
of my hair
are filled with your
Payne’s Gray

Let’s watch the moonlight
as it touches the day

Don’t ask why
just sit beside me

come what may

Come what may
your Payne’s Gray

Sleep with me for the night is through
and the day is coming

Loosen your tight
forget about the world
and just think of nothing

Empty your sight
like you don’t want to see
what tomorrow may bring

The daylight-stricken strands of my hair
with your Payne’s Gray shining

There are two things
In this world
I can't live without–

Pizza and you

For you are
Like pizza,
The most wonderful
Creation of all!

No matter how
It looks like,
I love the way it is
Just like you!

No matter how
It tastes like,
I love the way it is
Just like you!

[pause]

There are two things
In this world
I can't live without–

But if I were to choose:

I will definitely
Choose pizza
Over you!

Gazing* into the void—

with his pen going
to and fro onto a blank page:
just like two lovers
kissing each other,
repressing a momentary qualm,
exhuming the extravagant proof
of their existence

—is the writer,

lashing out
every synapse of his brain

for nothing.
Nothing.

I'm thinking about you.
In prose and ballads,
I'm writing words I know
I can't personally tell you.

I know we're not
Friends or even acquaintance,
But I can't help looking
At the pictures of you.

I know it sounds crazy
But I assure you,
Nothing is crazier
Than what you did to me.

I want you.

I saw a girl
standing on my window
The day my darling
left me to sorrow

Hey shawty,
don’t ya know
you so fly?

Lately
I’ve been thinkin’
how can I

Send my résumé
to your heart

So that
we could
never be
apart.

This life.

Nothing more
than dust and dirt.
Nothing more
than a pause for breath.

Yet You chose to speak
to these skin and bones.

Selah

Speak Lord.

Let Your voice
touch this weary heart.
Let Your Spirit
pour like eternal rain.

Selah

Speak Lord.
When these lips
don't know how to praise.

Speak Lord.
When these hands
are too heavy to raise.

Speak and set me ablaze.

Once I met a stranger on a typical Saturday night,
As I watch the passengers, as my hands are holding tight,
The precious possessions of a wealthy playwright,
This stranger looked at me and asked if I’m alright.

I answered back, bewildered, not looking at his face,
Suddenly, the busy streets became a quiet place,
Those towering skyscrapers all covered now with haze,
It felt like the two of us were left in an empty space.

This stranger gave me this only dear thing he has,
A thick mass of aged manuscripts covered in brass,
“Eat it,” he said, soon it was time for him to leave the bus,
I did not understand his words until I knew who he was.

As I look, I opened by chance to the book of John,
And there I read about God’s only precious Son,
Stranger on earth, laid down his life for the sin of man,
For whom who will believe in Him, salvation will be done.

Bridge:
And as I turned the pages,
I saw the stranger’s love,
For me and for all ages,
To live with him above.

Chorus:
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! The stranger was the Christ,
The stranger who gave up his life for my sins,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! The stranger was the Christ,
The stranger who laid down his life for your sins.

I knew right then the stranger was nothing but the Christ,
And to those who believe in Him, salvation was the prize,
I don’t know why He came to me in disguise,
But one thing I’m sure of, I’m saved by the stranger, and the stranger was the Christ.

Repeat Chorus

And we will live with Him above
And we will live with Him above
And we will live with Him above

How shall I describe thee?
Oh, Venzerie.

Your eyes are like sunsets,
full of awe and mystery.
The strands of your hair
are like strings of silk and gold;
as firm as the ground,
as flowing as the river.
Your cheeks are like apples—
Well, I like apples.
Your lips are like two autumn leaves
dancing gracefully as the winds breathe.
Your teeth are like pearls washed ashore,
glistening as the sunlight bounces off.

What more shall I say?
Oh, Venzerie.

You had me with your smile
on the first day we met.

Like a moth prancing
recklessly with death;
hypnotized by the whisper
of the flame.
Like a little boy,
gazing through the window,
outside a toy store.
Like a speeding motorcycle
on an endless one-way road.

I'm smitten by the sound
of your sweet voice.

Like a weaned child sleeping
soundly in his mother's arms.
Like a seasoned boxer suddenly
out cold on the very first round.
Like a kitten placed in front of the
mirror for the very first time.

How beautiful you are!
Oh, Venzerie.

Like a calm before the storm;
an indescribable moment
of fleeting serenity.
Like an exchange of peace
inside a chapel on a good
Sunday morning.
Like a name on a coffee cup
spelled perfectly right.

Oh, Venzerie.
Your name is one-of-a-kind—
Well, I asked Google.

Like the dimples on your cheeks,
or the freckles on your face.
Like the way you laugh,
or the way you smile.
Like the way you say a word,
or the person that you are.
Everything is super!

You had me with your "Hello".
Oh, Venzerie.

My thoughts of you are many.
Surely, more than these words
that I could ever tell.
Should I make books of poetry,
surely, I'd write poems of you.

We are all hypocrites,
passionate on
crime, ***, and drama

We are all hypocrites,
building our
two-dimensional dioramas

We think fast,
our half-witted brains
conniving

We talk fast,
our foolproof tongues
praising

We love to hate others,
and bask in the glory
of their demise

We hate to love our brothers,
for all our speeches
are mem'rized

Stepping stones from naivety
Our vainglorious insanity
Romanticizing reality

The hand that
feeds us
is our enemy

When will this stop?

Winter falls
as the
summer breezes,

Hearts burn
as the
fire freezes,

Mockers go quiet
as the
mute teases,

Peace comes in
as the
war ceases.

A day for nephews and a day for nieces,
A time to serve and a time for wishes,

Beasts of the earth and ocean’s fishes,
Alone made by the God who blesses.

They say not one thing
won’t come to last.

Had their faith
on Him fallen so fast?

Did kindess and mercy of God avast?
For human to say all things won’t last?

Rivers explored as
deserts left uncharted,

Desire,
thirst
and hunger
left thwarted,

Who says love and lust
can never be parted?

Who says courage isn’t
for the fainthearted?

Who says all things
come to an end?

Did they not believe that Christ ascend,
From the grave and yet they contend,
That all things will come to an end?

In sin, we received death and pain.
In Him, lifelong eternity is to gain.

He’d come
to wash away our stain,

Trusting in Him
won’t be in vain.

So sing Hallelujah and praise His name!

To all the ends of the earth we proclaim,
Jesus, savior of sinners – of whom I claim,

Death and sin He overcame!

I love
the fact that
I'm in love with you.

I don't know
if there will be
anything
in this reality
that would
make that
untrue.

I love
everything
about you.

Your smile,
it makes me shiver;
I love the wrinkles
on your nose
when you try
to make face at me.

I really miss
looking
at your
serene face.

I love you.
Please don’t
make it hard
for me.

Look at me,
I’m here dying
just to
see you.

Don’t want
another pretty face,
I want nothing else but you.

If in this lifetime,

and I'm sure
there wouldn't be
another one,

fate would grant me
only one opportunity
of having you...

then I won't
let it
slip away.
