On a solitary branch
Yellow bird is perched
Preening herself with care
Singing to her mate
Waiting for him eagerly
Looking for appreciation
For her beauty
Two yellow birds on a branch
Perfectly matched

Speak few, listen more
To understand a lot
As only a few will explain

You may have heard many stories
But there are stories within you
Waiting to be told to the listener
Who can listen without judging
Stories that transpire gradually
When you have the right words
To describe the exact feelings
Emotions close to the heart
Will one day be laid out
In form of a story
To the concerned listener
Who can connect with you
Through the stories
A heart to heart talk
With the concerned audience

The gray pathways
Cobbled with stone
Time has entrenched
Melancholy in every piece
It leads to desolation
Yet he walks the beaten path
Bleeding his exposed feet
Blindfolded by pain
Numbness has set in
Every day as he walks past
Shoveling him away
Like a pile of dirt
Trashed away from life
Only to heap more misery
On the trampled heart
Its feeble cry unheeded
By the city, that walks past
Avoiding the dark alley

Revealing each other slowly
A saga which has no end or beginning
Slow passion fuels the yearning
Unhurried, we reach a crescendo
And brings with it a new beginning
As we do not possess, yet we are inseparable
We are in the world of unhurried Love

Unleash the soul
from the shackles
of debilitating forces
which leaves us
gasping for breath
the wound
barbed wires
in a tight hold
inflicts many wounds
draining us
everyday, of life
there is a purpose
to life
whose meaning
eludes us
until we free ourselves
from the reality
we have created

An impoverished heart lacks Love
Contemplating, how to hurt
Heart is dry as a desert
Hostile conditions, for Love to blossom
Eventually the heart shrinks
Burying all the emotions under sand dunes
Remembered only as a mirage

Sky shows mood of the day
Prematurely turned gray
Once bright and clear
Now gloominess hangs low
Wilting under the pressure
Of threatening clouds
Shades of sadness across
Waiting for it to clear
My dreams can fly again
As the sun waits its turn
At the backyard

Where dreams are uprooted
And trust is slowly losing ground
Where does one get a foothold?
Once pristine landscape of mankind
Is denied the elixir of life, Love
Inner strength is crumbling away
The quick sand moments pulling us
Rapidly towards point of no return
The scorching heat is unbearable
As souls are parched dry
Lack of feelings and compassion
Extinction is not far away

A U-turn is all it took to drift away
Hitting the wrong lane
Dangerous pursuits

She was unaware about the way of the world
Radiant beauty did capture the vagabond heart
Trampling along the green meandering path
Where not any traveler have set their foot
Walked across the ****** valley and yonder
The ***** came to the crystal clear stream
Aware of his thirst, from the endless wandering
He stooped to drink from the sweet stream
Unaware of the maiden’s presence, who tip-toed
Busy was he drinking to quench his thirst
For the first time was he aware of the maiden
Vagabond heart captured by the reflection’s beauty
He kissed her reflection, making the maiden blush
At the twilight the eyes meet, making the hearts flounder
Radiant beauty did capture the vagabond heart

The vessel of woes runs over
Overflowing and emptying itself
Leaving us a choice to fill it again
With fresh dreams and happiness

Let’s wait for eternity
We shall meet there
With all these fleeting moments
We will create our world
Every moment will come alive
Never to fade away from our life
Life after this life, we look forward to
True love will wait for eternity
Beyond everyday love and phrases
Our silence will speak love from the heart
Walls of profound sacredness will protect
Lovers from the illusion of time
Let’s wait for eternity
True love will live throughout in our soul
We cannot be impatient now
Our time will come when true love will prosper

Still it is marvelous
You, walking around the house
In tip-toe, so, not to wake me
When you have tip-toed into my heart
Every path leading to me
The sidewalks blooming with flowers
I came to meet you half-way
And held your hand to walk besides me
A path that led me to your heart
Your beauty revealed with every walk
Now, I long for those long walks
Along the boulevard of our dreams
In twilight, we will walk away from sunset
Towards our abode lit with love
Waiting for dawn to take another walk

The darkness absorbs light
and the day becomes wary
of the blinding glare
If you can find your way
through the darkness
you will have been a traveler
who walked neath the stars
reflecting more light
than the day can hold
letting you see clearly
the path ahead

We walk into every walk of life
We have to meet with an open mind
Not clenching our hands
But extending our handshake
We are all connected, part of the humanity
It’s one heartbeat of the residents
Of this celestial body, we inhabit
We receive or reject the invisible signals
We call them vibes, sometimes they align
Understanding this multitude of emotions
From the inhabitants of this common ground
An open mind gives the space to analyze
Differences in the common species
Rituals, cultures, beliefs, faith
Different, yet part of this humanity
We thrive in finding a commonality
Looking at the bigger canvas, we feel the camaraderie
We walk together, with our friends from all walks of life
We walk in this cosmic space
And uphold the spirit of this celestial body

The path that took him to a lonely journey
Unintended stroll took him to his destination
Wandered beyond the set boundaries

The nomadic mind
seeks treasures
in the places forgotten
by others
tracing the lost path
under the debris of neglect
these eyes see
what the world neglected
the wandering
has brought me to solitude
where this place can give
I am not lost wandering

Lost in the wanderings
Through the ancient paths
Covered in anonymity
Long before they saw light
Many civilizations perished
Unaware wanderings
Lead the heart to unknown territories
Lost in the midst of nowhere
But have found an existence
Uncanny feelings awaken
A realization of the lost soul
Finally, it has found
Crowd of humanity could not spare
From the least known places
The soul has found a treasure trove
Wandering through meanderings
Directed the lost traveler
To a place of wonder and clarity
Herein lies the truth
Immerse yourself in silence
To celebrate the new realization

The words do not scream
It’s the inner turmoil
Which blasts out the words
Fired like missiles
Landing on opponent’s heart
Desecrating the feelings
Why such vitriol
That can burn everything
Another war of words
For words come easy
To wipe out precious feelings

Soon the wells would run dry
Not enough to fill a pitcher
The juice of the planet depleting
When every drop counts
Precious life it holds- a magic potion
For it is the stream of life
How deep can we dig
Before we can revive the wells
Not enough
Until rains fill the Earths crucible
We cannot let the wells go dry
Nothing to drive us forward
Drops of tears will not be enough

Waves of emotions overflow my mind
Creating cascading waterfall of tears
Spilling over, breaking the dams of resistance
Taking me along with the strong undercurrent
Without any control over my movement
I go along with the flow, hitting a new shore
Unknown destination, yet inviting to me
I regain my senses, to leave my steps on the land
The land which has no name
I venture out to experience newfound emotions
That fills my mind and body, an experience unexplained

The moonlight looks tenderly
At the lost soul in the midst of nowhere
Wandered away from the crowd
Walking through the valley
The quaint canvas of the night sky
A sight to behold

Let there be within us the desires of universe
Independent of the desires that we have etched out
Shifting with the gusts of winds, drifting us away
Changing our purpose when things don’t go our way
Steely resolve melts away with the raging fire
Taking shape and molding to a new alien form
Unable to recognize our old self anymore
Swept away by the undesired rules of this world
We have the universe within us, yet we deflect
Form the way of the universe and create a diversion
We have to realize the immense potential within
Journey which starts from within and shows the path
The way of the universe we have to take
And align ourselves with the way of the universe
Explore the celestial body, not the earthly enigma
Try solving the riddles of nature, which hold true
Invoke the soul within to understand the way of the universe

There maybe many ways
to express feelings
but the only way I know
is through the words
that I compose
pen, on paper
a heart is content
with poetry

Dragging the feet along the street
Every walk scraped off the will
Weathered many storms for long
Walked towards the same destination
Knocked on the door for a reply
Greeted by resounding silence
Finally, the street got wary of him
Sidelined along the pavement
