Night at the Theatre
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Twisted, golden curls
bounced on her red, silk dress.
A theatre full of surprise and tension.
Everyone dressed in their best.

Iced sequins glistened
as she strutted her way in.
Dark, leather seats cushioned her body
and the show was ready to begin.

She imagined her life so grand
like the gorgeous actress on stage.
Living a tale of majeed ventures
unraveling after each page.

Gracile finger tips tapped with wit
on the charred arm rests.
Music so melodic and mighty
mulling of the plot's earnest quests.

Her eyes blinked and a tiny droplet
streamed when the play was done.
Another one to be portrayed,
who knew what was to come?..

Baby girl
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
tiny, troublesome fingers
touched the tips of my tears.

your blue, radiant eyes
oversee the brews of my fears.

I look to my little baby,
my precious baby girl.

I never want to see you cry because
you have no father in this world.

never want to see a droplet
surpass your eye.

never hear your father
say his last good-bye.

that he would welcome you
with warm arms.

or to never lay a hand on you
causing you harm..

may his blue, radiant eyes
be forever yours.

that this man can give
you so much more...

Novel mind
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Under the deep depth
of the black undertone of her eyes
is a world of extreme imagination
expanding to a great size.

A mind so enchanting
full of wonder and bright ideas.
Exploring wondrous thought trials
sacred and sweetly at ease.

A luminous light
blossomed a bulb in her mind.
Thirsting for adventurous words
only she could pine.

You are broken
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
You are broken,
but there is a reason.
Beautiful shards of you
are changing in this season.

You may feel empty,
but your brim is filling up.
Crystal clear waters
are brewing in your cup.

Don't let these damaged
pieces bring you down.
These pieces are jewels
attached to your crown.

Strength arising
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Hold on just a little bit longer.
The pain will be over.
You will grow stronger.

Life may have beaten you down,
but you are strong enough
to lift yourself off the ground.

Don't be afraid through this trying time.
Your help is coming this way,
everything will be fine.

Just try to smile and live on.
You can do this.
You are strong.

Sunny skies
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Blossomed gold skies
awakened her brown eyes.
Her thick lashes batted away
as she saw the sun start the day.

Glimmering sunlight peeked below
in the white curtains of her window.
She glanced down on her light sheets
slumbering her chest to her pale feet.

The sunlight brightened her heart
and she got out of bed for a new start.
Enjoying the juice in her favorite cup.
She was so glad that she woke up.

Love in unusual ways
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Over 2000 years ago,
one baby arrived to save.
Show kindness to sinners,
and rise from the grave.

Born to show us
love isn't always beautiful.
Smelly stables and beating blood
would be suitable.

To show us love
in unusual ways.
To be kind, reach out,
and to love always.

Sometimes in life we may be
surrounded in smelly barns.
Beaten and bruised in blood,
but that's love conquering our storms.

Transformation
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
A long, frustrating time

will never last long.

Uplifting, swirling wings

will soon make you strong.

Time may had let you down

when you thought all was doomed.

Your body done and restless

locked in a cocoon.

You will soar and discover

the highest of blue skies.

You will conquer, you will grow

and you will rise.

Winter Blessings
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Ghost white flurries
parade silently on the slanted *****.
Little drops of winter blessings
unraveling sheer chutes of hope.

Almighty's shining spotlight
hanging in Picotee sky.
Magical and radiant
messengers roam and angelify.

The Lord's house powerfully
sustained and stood.
A calming and Celeste night
begat winter's blessings on the wood.

and on her apricot hair
a garland wreathed across.

snowflake wings

golden ringlets bristled
against the lily tips of her mighty wings.
esthetic, exalted songs echo

Meant to be life
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Everyday may seem
like a mess,
but just remember
you are blessed.
You are living
breathing in your lungs.
You are dancing
to songs needing to be sung.
You are alive
that is most important.
You have destiny,
a birth meant to be.

Celestial Love
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Celestial love
blossomed in her inner self
She let go of history
for she now seeking help.

She beckoned for His presence
for tired of living in fear.
Graveling for more
pining Him near.

After many years
of enduring this emptiness.
She at last unfurled heaven
and floated with His faithfulness.

wretchedness

a window
that her eyes grew to know.
cloudy skies and cloudy visions
blistered like snow.

thoughts
dark and forlom.
her broken esprit

time
spent in misery.
she ached for repose,
but her head growing wintry.

waves tickled
her pale, cracked feet.
the salt filled air
felt so largely sweet.

the wind breezed against
the skin of her burning back.
as the sun took a closing toll,
the winds slowly slacked.

the pumpkin glow rayed
on her ***** blonde hair.
it lightly glazed
on her soft skin so fair.

the porcelain moon
glistened on the waves so brisk.
onto her warm, ivory skin
lay the soft, moist mist.

Reason
Crystal Freda Mar 2019
There is more
to this world
than money
You can make
someone laugh
by just being funny.
You can
show love
when it is needed.
Care for someone
when their heart
is beaten.
Give
what needs
to be given.
Money
was not
our reason
for living...

Every time I think
Crystal Freda Mar 2019
Every night
you come to my mind.
I think of us together,
but that makes me sigh.

I think of our memories.
Every one is special to me.
I don't want to let go,
but I might have to set you free.

We had our good moments,
but those have come to an end.
We fight more like enemies
than lovers and friends.

I really do love you,
but you don't feel the same.
Now here I am
thinking of your name.

Hopefully all will be okay
Crystal Freda Mar 2019
Scarred and broken
with words left unspoken.

Wishing things were clear,
but sadly we are still here.

Time doesn't seem to heal,
it just seems tougher to feel.

All the moments we had
now hurt so bad.

I just want us to be okay,
but instead everything is gray.

If only I knew what to do.
I know I still do love you.

I just hate what we've become,
it just seems all is done.

Hopefully one day I'll understand,
but for now we have to do what we can.

Eternity Place
Crystal Freda Mar 2019
Soaked in
clemency and grace,
into this place
I search for Your face.

Blood stained
on your nailed wrists,
into this place
showers endless bliss.

Darkened nights
grow colder and colder,
but into this place
I lay warm on Your shoulder.

Serene security
resides deep inside us,
and into this place
we are right beside Jesus.

toddled back home.
sepia leaves traced behind her
tumbling on the flaccid, dusty loam.

country girl
in her licorice colored boots
daydreamed at the piebald trees
rotting from their roots.

country girl
dancing in auburn checkered dress
sprinted home mirthfully
looking like a mess.

Whimisical Winter
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
A winter breeze
brushed against the tassels
of her velvet scarf.

She breathed in
the misty, wet smells
that melt her heart.

Her mittens tickled
the warm, scarlet wool
padded in her pockets.

Winds back and forth
against the snowy trees
rocking large  snow deposits.

She smiled at the
mushy, muddy tracks
her boots evenly made.

She bunched up
a big ball of powdery snow
and in that she played.

She looked around the table
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
She looked around the table
at every smiling face.
She also was smiling
to be happy in the place.

Turkey and mashed potatoes
piled on every flowered plate.
Everything tasted so good
and the company was great.

As she opened her eyes
her dream was not so.
She looked around the table,
everyone eating slowly in silent woe.

Her heart sagged a little
for this is what family has become.
They should be happy to be together
united as one.
A thanksgiving poem.

A little light
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
Her little toothless grin
giggled as the bubbles blew.
From weeks to months to years,
beyond my eyes she grew.

I would braid her thick curly hair
as she danced in her own way.
She would run to me
from the school bus everyday.

I would tell her my life stories
before she would go to bed.
As I said goodbye and good night
I would kiss her light tan head.

With her bear in her arms
we would do her homework together.
She said we were best friends
with glue that lasted forever.

I had this precious gift
for one time in my life.
Just a little bit of love
shined her little, bright light.

Every color
bleeding on your eyes.
Making everything beautiful
with those blue, vibrant skies.

Crystal Freda Feb 2019
Bundled in a blanket
with a fire next to me.
Working on a poem.
Everything is cozy.

from burnt orange to gold.
So many words to be written,
so many stories to be told.

mind already writing poems.

with the winds just a blowing.

She lives in a world of words
rather than in reality.
The world may be a bad place,
but she sees the beauty.

but not strong enough

Some battles
in my life

I try to not be angry,
but try not to
keep it inside.

I'm not scared

I may be broken,

I'm strong enough

and that's what I'll do.

Crystal Freda Feb 2019
she embraced the ground
shoveling and shoveling.
a deeper hole it grew
tunneling and tunneling...

she dug a hole for years
for what she thought was right,
but it left her confused
in a cold, shivering fright...

alone in her thoughts
she has no one to talk to,
trapped in a giant hole
not knowing what to do.

she could try to keep shoveling
until she found the light
or she could turn around
to what she left behind...

His love will never stray away.
He planned it that way.
As beating ended, pain was diminished
With his last breath,He said It is Finished.

Those three days must felt an eternity
but from this act of love we are free.

His power will rain and hail.

Chills tickle our spines
when the story intertwines.
How we got what we didn't deserve.

Crystal Freda Jan 2019
If you were never born,
there would be no tomorrow.
So you think that's great.
No more sorrow,
but you would never see the sun

She wore it to school and church

A dying art
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
Why is poetry dying
when we still have the gift?
If we still have water
then we still have a ship.
We can sail to the places
these words take us.
We are still shaken
by the words that make us.
Why should we let poetry die
when there is so much to explore?
If only people read it
and discovered more.

All her body covered in tears
like a salt filled bath.
A river of water

Every memory haunts her,

She envies the happy
standing on the sun.
Being able to stand in peace
not having to run.

Though we all have problems
we try to run from,
and if we escape too many

She hasn't been herself

Every day she'd look,

She lay in bed

Her thoughts and actions

She'd crumble at every step,
every mile, every fall.

She stayed this way
for a couple of years.
Waking up to sadness
and lying in tears.

After all this time
she wants to change things.
Let hope take a hold
and let happiness sting.
