I was told that I am a God,
Molded out of three;

Soul

Desire

Reason

But, why do I find my divinity
in the trinity?

As rain falls upon the earth it hits with a splash,

Making the day stop at its will.

As rain falls,

The ground turns into a swamp,

As fast as a thump.

As rain falls,

It feels like the day has been taken from you.

You show signs of comfort,

But-

A broken feelings can not be easily changed.

When rain has stopped,

You embrace the new beginning-

Of the colors and puddles on the earth,

You feel that the day has just begun,

And all of the times of sadness,

Was just a dream.

Who am I?
A man made from the earth, with a fate already set?
A list of doubts, ready for me to devour?
Am I to take the pain that my father has left me?
Am I to change the course of the story to make ends meet?
Am I to lift my burden, or be dropped to my knees.
Am I different from all the rest, or just a face in a crowed of familiar faces?

I feel thoughts of pain, thoughts of suffering,
Am I to live in this despair, in this living hell.
I drop to the floor, to call out your name, I hear no answer.
I raise it to another volume,
I scream to the top of my lungs!
"If you are my King, save me from this death I live."
I still hear no answer.
When I felt there was no use, you got down, to look me in the eye, whispered into my ear, "Rise."

Without a thought, I rose to my feet,
wiped away the tears, stood up straight and forced a smile from my weakened lips.

You told me,
"My child, my sweet child. I made you for a purpose, I never set you in hell. But gave you life, so you may live it for me!
What you saw down the road, you will not be alone.
I will be by your side, I do not lie."

I looked upon my feet to see a path to follow.
I looked to the west and then to the east, saw angels praising and
Singing "Oh be thee Lord of the most high, who will live for ever and ever."
I joined in with the choirs,
As I walked on my way, towards the sunset sky,
disappearing into the light.

My heart is racing inside of my chest.
The life I use to know is far behind.
For I am looking at the finish line.
Just another life to go,
Until I am in your arms.
No valley or mountain will stand in my way.
I can see the finish line.

Sight is a desire to the blind.
The world is a desire to the weak.
The word is a desire to faithful.
The Lord, is a desire to the strong.

I dream of a place,
Beyond time and space

Where blue birds dance,
On the streets of France.

Where heaven bleeds,
Over the American dream.

Where the Way, the Truth, and the Life,
Teaches love without the knife.

Where the Prince of Peace,
Dines with the Middle East.

I dream of a place,
Where the world embraces, "Grace."

The morning comes without a glow, a glare, or a song to be sung.
A villainous stare creeps over above.
The ground is paved with soulless tears,
A guilty grin stands high above.

Sounds are disappearing,
In the towering shadows.
Smiles are lost,
In deaths mile.

The sinner's will linger
Without Heaven's lover.
The children will bicker,
Without mother's fire.

As I woke from my living nightmare,
My eyes were blinded by shining gold.

My hands touched the misty waters,
The chill shivered my weakened bones.

I started to think,
Is this the end?
Have I reach the finish line.

The boat began to shake,
My heart skipped a beat.

Then, a voice arose from the creaking floor.
"Next stop, Heavens Gates."

Blood rushed inside of my veins,
A race was made with fate,
And all I could do was wait.

The boat stopped.
My eyes were freed,
Oh, what I feared to see.

I saw,
Calm white waters.
I saw,
Lost souls underneath my feet.
I saw,
A man standing in the distance,
With Golden gates at his back.

He called me by name.
His voice felt like a whisper.
He said, "Do not be afraid."

I started to walk on still waters,
Following the pure blood stains-
Towards the Man in front of Heaven Gates.

The water started to stand above my eyes.
With each climb it made,
My faith was slayed.

I began to sink.
My foot was trapped by Satan's grasp.
I started to scream,
But my voice was taken,
by Hell's Kraken.

Before my faith was lost,
To death's masterpiece,
The man spoke again,
“Peace! Be still!”

The rising waves,
Which was my grave,
became the slave.

He reached out his hand for mine.
He lift me out of Satan's care,
And said the words I'll never forget.
“Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”

I looked upon his face,
For this is what I feared to see,
The Son of Man standing in front of me.

I tried to speak,
But my lips were shut.
I tried to weep,
But my heart was a sleep.

He spoke again,
And he said to me.

"I am the way,
And the truth,
And the life.
No one comes to the Father-
except through me."

When I felt my doom was near,
He uttered the words,
"I forgive you."

At last,
My fear was destroyed.
My heart was filled with Joy.

Then, the last words he said to me,
"Welcome to Heavens Gates."

I have seen the stars dance in the shadows.
I saw the world outside my window.

Screaming faces-
Telling time with countless voices.

Ticking clocks-
Counting the skipping of the rocks.

Brushing slacks.
Footsteps jumping the cracks.

Distance watching the sunset-
Remembering the first time they met.

The painter looking out to life;
Ready to embrace it as his wife.

Raindrops stuck in memory-
Of the children's agony.

White skies-
Baptizing the sinner's tie.

History holding creation's stories-
Telling future glories.

Courage finding the opportunity-
To fight insecurity
With His purity.

Sunday shoes-
Taping to the rhythm of Blues.

Heaven singing from above-
Waiting for its truelove.

How do we see life in our minds?
How do we wait for the counting of clocks?
How do we measure the depth of our walk?
How do we climb the mountain of time?

What loss would it be?
What cost would it take?
To borrow such wings,
To fly to the King?

Follow his lead,
To hear him teach,
To know what it means,
To believe in the Dream.

Watch him dance in the grass,
Drinking from heaven's glass,
Singing,
"Free at Last... Free at Last..."

Today, I went to see my old friend.
Someone who has been by my side sense the beginning.

He has walked with me through the trials in mylife.
He has taught me how to dance on the edge of a knife.

Though, he does not speak -
I still listen.
He does not move.
I still march.
He has no arms.
I still let him in.

His embrace-
is the gift of grace.

He does not have treasures-
that you and I could measure.
He gives you the pleasure of an adventure.

Its hard to believe that its been so long,
But time has made us only strong.

Thank you for showing me how to be free.
Thank you for introducing me to the trees.

For its always been a journey to have a Road for a friend.

Praise to God, praise.
For this is the prayer to thee.
Raise your hands to the most high, raise him above all crime.
Speak of love, sing of joy, scream of salvation.
For on one of these days-
Jubilee will come to save.
Save all in His name, who will follow His pain.
This is the prayer to the one who lives, in the sky above.
Smiling at His children far below.

Ever got lost in the pages of a story, just to find yourself wrestling between reality and a daydream or a nightmare? Slowly, your mind loosens its grip and surrenders to the narractive. Now, the story which was the dream becomes your reality, and reality becomes the nightmare.

Humans are something that amazes me every single day. Their sparks of genius in the most peculiar of places. Their passion to do the impossible, and their love to be better than before. Though, like any creation with a consciousness, it tends to lose its way. War, death, pain, and suffering brings out the worst parts in the human heart. For it will come a day where these things fade from existence and they see beyond the crystal sea. They will push away the mud from their eyes and embrace one another, and their souls will be cleansed by purist blood. Again, I must not dwell on a future to come, but ask myself the question, *“What will I do in this life so that the human race can reach the promise place?”

My childhood came back.

As I sat,
My dream came to me,
To be near the Death Star.

As I sat,
My life long need came to me,
To be a Jedi.

As I sat,
My desire came to me,
To be Luke Skywalker
I LOVE STARWARS!
GOING TO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!!!!

Darkness covered the skies,
While my body was restless with the tides.
I tried not to wait for the sunrise,
Because, it just reminded me of your eyes.

I remember holding you in my arms,
While surrendering to the stars,
Hoping to never fall apart.

The touch of your hand with mine,
The smell of Calvin Klein,
The taste of cherry wine,
Intoxicating me inside.

I didn't see this in cards,
Or the rolling dice in our hearts.

I imagined a future,
With the definition of forever.

But, now I see-
We were never meant to be.

When tomorrow comes,
Without the taste of ***,
We will find someone.

Now it is time for me to go,
And leave this pain for the runaways-
So, Goodbye, my Summer's Day!

I heard a tale long ago, a story of old.
Happiness and love filled the tale.
There was no pain, anger, or hatred far enough to see.
For this tale was written,
written for me.
I just love how cute this poem is! :)

Her brown eyes crept up to me.
Delicate and wide.

I could see the love of her mother,
And pride of her father.

A universe stretched out farther then the eye could see,
Filled with shining stars,
And faceless scars.

Her stare had an ingenious beauty.
Like a meadowless daisy.

Her glare had an artless grace,
Like colorless vase.

This glow was naive from the broken lives,
Wondering on this fallen world.

This credulous light,
Waiting to be ripped by jealousy.

I almost wanted to hold her there,
Away from the horrors in life.
Far from Apollyon's hands,
Like a guardian in the night.

Her innocents daring to walk on this thin rope,
Called hope.

Then, I saw with my waking eyes.
A white aisle covered by heavens flowers,
Congregations starring at her beautiful smile.
Oh, what a lovely mile.

For, there I knew
Her life was a magnificent design-
That wasn't mine.

I let her go into the hands of the divine,
Where she waits for her Valentine.

Oh, Lord I know you will hold her tight,
As she waits for her fearless knight.

Samuel Hesed Feb 2017
She sat looking out to the world that didn't belong to her
She knew what many did not see that this pain that dwells within us had room in her.
She knew that we were wolves digging in the dirt looking for scraps while she stood watching from above. She knew this life, this world, these desires was not for her.
She was waiting for the day that she did not need to feel this anymore.
She was waiting for the last time to hear the screams of men outside the window frame.

When I looked at her, I believed that they're could be day where the streets are paved with sinners blood and the hearts of men were filled with hope again.
When I looked at her, the world didn't seem so big or small. The world just seemed free for all.
When I looked at her, I felt the wind carrying me to the beyond. Where the sun and moon danced beyond the clouds. I saw a world of pain flout away. I felt my soul within me fall into a forever slumber dreaming of beauty's that seduced my hunger.
When I looked at her, I was lost in her wonder.

The books that stood in font of her told stories about us.
about the dreams we made for ourselves-
the promises we made to each other-
and the lies we told one another.
Oh, how we dreamed of days were the Savior would take us away.
oh, how we believed that we would be okay in his embrace.

We saw ourselves as the lucky ones-
the ones who didn't listen to the people outside our window.
we would stand taller, above their throats with pride in our eyes-
knowing that we made it-
knowing that we were the lucky ones in this life.

She turned her head away from the frame, to stare at me.
I could not breath
I could not think while her eyes were fixed on mine.
Those beautiful summer eyes reminded me of the grass, the sun, the moon, and the stars.
Those eyes could tell a story that you knew was a lie, but you dared to believe it so you didn't have to look away.
This stare could make any man fall to his knees praying to a man above the trees.
Oh, what her eyes could do to me.

With a smile, her head dropped, and her eyes met the canvas that was placed in her presence.

She began to write again. So gentle, so smooth did her hand dance on top of canvas.
In this moment, I knew she was far beyond my reach.
She vanished and all I could do was wait for her to return back to this dream. But, all I could do was wait among these savages that stood outside our window frame. While, she tango within her reality.

Don't worry, I wasn't left with hate. No, I was left with love.
I knew that our fates were intertwined.
I knew that she could not leave this world without saying goodbye.
I knew that our love was bigger than I
I knew that the world that stood outside that wooden frame was nothing more than dream that soon had an end.

We knew that our love was more than the riches that the world had to offer.
we knew that our love could not be taken
We knew that our love was unshaken.
We knew that our love was true.

Therefore, when you return from reality,
remember to tell our story so that the angels can sing of our glory.
Don't worry my darling,
I will be waiting for you here within the doorway.
Dreaming my life away.*

The End

I am not afraid of what you bring.
Actually, I invite the new beginning.

A clean slate?
Maybe even a blind date?
I dare to say it might be fate.

You can keep that frown in your pocket,
And don't forget last years gown.
I am waiting patiently for this countdown.

To my new cheer,
To my new dear,

To my last fear,
To my last tear,

For, I am ready to embrace this New Year!

I sit in my chair studying the mirror-
starring at the figures outside the square.

Day by day the world changes outside your gates.
May, June, and July dancing while they pass by.

The birds singing to the morning bells-
ringing a spell in the ears of farewells.

The houses are filled with life-
telling stories of family glories.

The world is different through your eyes.
I feel hidden from creation-
not touched by fiction.

Is this an illusion
or is it just me being human?

To many times,
I have confessed my sins by your side.

Too often,
they are forgotten.

Do you even notice the hand print stains upon your face?
Or the blackened space were my tears have fallen?

For even a priest will send me with lie,
or release me with a goodbye.

Your two sided eyes
reflect your two sided mind.

You show me a reality
without the apple tree.

You blind me with jewels
and take me for a fool.

No longer will I sit and stare at the underworld.
For the flames may be there, but I rather taste it in the air.

To take me home or to my doom.
A fifty-fifty chance is all I have.

I have time to dance.
I have time to sing.

What should do while I wait?
Should I run to be first in line?
Or should I stand and wait for my fifty-fifty fate?

The waves pass by
Watching the butterfly.

The light rises over the flat earth
Saying her vows.
Columbus would be proud.

The wind caring the ground's kiss,
Salty and bitter on the lips.

The saline taste of Adam's ale
Inspiring a fairytale.

Hell's floor
Scattered among the shores,
Hiding their corps.

Apollyon counting the score
From the spoils of war.

The forms in the clouds
Dancing for the crowds.
Plato would bow.

Humanity lost in it's beauty,
Waiting for the Angel's duty
To take them away from life's cruelty.
