Love was her end
In the woods far from all men
There was a woman that lived in peace
With her dog and daughter made three
From time to time people would come for her help
She knew much of many things
And lived a life of light love and compassion
She was a healer
But some would say witch
And a day came that a child went missing
The villagers came to her but not for help
They decided that she used black magic to lure the child away
They burned her in autumn air at end of day
Standing elevated above on the unset pyre
Looking around as fire was kindled
She felt the lick of flames
Yet only hot for a moment then cold
Her daughter looking on as she uttered her last words
"This is what you pay to love
Im to be ash in the wind
And your to live with your sins"
She went out like a flame
Like a star winking out
the world was left darker
And a small heart left cold

Rhythmic rains
From the quite of the fading evening light
Clouds came slow to block the stars from sight
Gently came rain tapping rhythm with the wind
As thunder drops the beat the symphony begins
Water coming in to wash us clean again

Tranquil halls
Beneath the lonely tree
In the barren field you see

Watch the summers light
As it gives over to night

There is a lonely star
That watches earth from afar

Disconnected through window pain

Inside looking out
Outside reflecting in

*See it to the end
Then start back
And begin again

eyes closed open heart
You've a radiant smile
And gorgeous eyes
It appears your a sweetheart
Saying you love when I'm around
That I'm the life of the party
I'm not sure who your talking about
But if that's what you see
It seems you're flirting with me
I could be wrong
But maybe
I'll never know without action
So eyes closed I dive in

Atmospheric orchestra
The energetic crackle
of lightning lanced down
Moments after the strike
and the streaked sky
Came the thundering rolls
Like grumbles from the grave
From at light already fled
Sleeping dreams yet to come
even if i haven't long
Ill sit and listen to the evenings orchestra

As gentle rain
There was a rumble in the west
As the sky opened
And the rains fell
The earthy smell that rose from the soil
These are the times
When I'm glad
To be alive and free
Oh rain
Baptize me in an earthly essence
I hope when I'm laid gently in the ground
That the smell of new rain will follow me down

musing ocean (undermind)
I don't know where it comes from
Its not like knowing
It's more like water flowing
As my fingers break the surface
With it's depth it grasps me
Fathoms down to where few have been
Deep enough to lose myself
Deep enough to drown
As the surface breaks
The water slides from me
From my veins the blood on the page
Channeling that vast ocean that swells in us all
The very same tide we ride when we die

dark man
He wore a fickle grin
But it seemed there were worms within
Behind those tombstone teeth
He scares me
I dream of him opening that maw
Seeing other world's in the darkness of his cloak
Seeing only gleams where eyes should be
Oh this dark man
That seemed like no man at all*
Empty eyes That nightmare grin
And behind the vale the worms within
Partly inspired by the dark tower

This reality
                     our existence
Even for all the pain and anguish

I am not what i look like
I am not my tattoos
I am not my disabilities
I am not my body
I am more than what you see
I am the light that identifies with infinity
I am a splinter of the Devine as you are
And someday when this body dies
And is laid in the ground
My soul will go out to everything
So there is no need to cry
Ill be with you
Because My spirit never died

Lime tree
i once had a beautiful lime tree
it grew from the dirt as a little green spurt
and reached to the heavens from its place in the earth
id wind down the trail to the tree that a love
to sit in his shadow and watch as the sky turns colors above
i lean on my friend and he whispers to me
it sounds like the waves on the sea
and when night has fallen i wave to my friend and leave

Over years i wondered far from my tree
though his whispers are always with me
a leaf caught in my hair
like the thought in my mind
i haven't seen him in years

when i come apon the trail that leads from my home to my tree
the green has overgrown it and they whisper to me
i thought my friend was sleeping
but he had gone from his place in the field
what was left was a dead lime tree
One last time
i leaned against my friend and whispered to his leaves
*i have come at last to say goodbye to my lime tree

Fleeting lives
It trickles by when life is slow
Yet when its fun how fast time goes

Minutes like decades
Years like seconds

In the space of a blink
Your hair will have turned to gray
And all your friends will have passed away
Left only old photos of bygone days

And in the mirror of youth
You'll hardly recognize
The lines on your face
live today before its gone away

Remember (old friends)
I remember
Though you think id forgot

The times spent laughing
The times of childhood past
Remember the summers we swam in the pool
Pretending we where dolphins or monsters
Man we where fools
But it was ok because i was with you

We would lay our beds on the glass shop at night
And watch the stars wheel slowly through the sky
Feeling astronomical powers collide

A shot of smooth fire as it burnt through the night
Seeing the fire reflected back in both of our eyes
We would send wishes along with that light

So i remember
How could i forget
The day that you died
I lost my best friend
So I am about to be a free man again, to wander where I please.

I find the prospect nauseating.

I think that tonight is the night I will hang Howard W. Campbell, Jr., for crimes against himself.

I know that tonight is the night.

They say that a hanging man hears gorgeous music. Too bad that I, like my father, unlike my musical mother, am tone-deaf. All the same, I hope that the tune I am about to hear is not Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas.'

Goodbye, cruel world!

Ego death
I saw infinity
In a glass of water

I felt it strange
As it passed

It was a difference
Like night and day

The loss of the feeling
That i am alone

The realization
That i am Connected to all of you

That life is a dream
And death an illusion

All of this hate
And all the confusion

Are the movements of energy
Through our mortal coil

Yet without the body
There would be a unity

We would be everything
And nothing

This is why life exists
To experience ourselves subjectively

Most of us not knowing
That we are drops from the same ocean

With every kindness And crime we commit
We further our understanding

Still with life comes conflict
And another chance to change

We live our lives like falling rain
*Only to pass back to the ocean again

Time is a face that lies still on the water

The light of sun on darkened ground
In this tree a balance found
