She left...

without saying goodbye.

She left...

and the time has flown by.

She left...

and I don't know how to feel.

She left...

and some days it doesn't feel real.

She left...

what do I do now?

She left...

will I cope somehow?

She's gone...

so many tears I've wept,

and I still don't know why

she left...

She climbed every ridge
every step
every rock
and conquered every bridge.

She has cried many tears,
lived many days
many times
and overcame her fears.

She has lived her span
a great one,
an amazing one,
and she's done all she can.
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
She looked around the table
at every smiling face.
She also was smiling
to be happy in the place.

Turkey and mashed potatoes
piled on every flowered plate.
Everything tasted so good
and the company was great.

As she opened her eyes
her dream was not so.
She looked around the table,
everyone eating slowly in silent woe.

Her heart sagged a little
for this is what family has become.
They should be happy to be together
united as one.
A thanksgiving poem.

All the trial and heartache.
She was tense.
She was stressed.
So much pain in her chest.
Her heart was hurting
until she discovered she had wings.
All she had to do was let go
and let her wings flow.
Crystal Freda Mar 2018
Nightmares trembled in her head.
Her heart drummed and her feet raced.
She wanted the dream to end
and to stop being chased.
She screamed as she bounced from her bed.
The little girl jumped and ran to her mom.
Her face was red from streaming tears
and they dripped off her face as she tried to be calm.
Her mother wrapped her arms around her daughter
and hushed her to sleep.
Cradling her small, fragile face
and brushing her tears with just one sweep.
Slowly the little one calmed down to bed
and she lay with her on her chest.
Feeling her heart start to settle,
she closed her eyes now for a rest.
Crystal Freda Dec 2018
She tried to be perfect.
She tried to be what everyone wanted.
She tried to follow rules,
but she was terribly shunted.

She tried to be smarter.
She tried to be what everyone thought.
She tried it,
but she was not.

She is who is,
not who she tried to be.
She acts how she is,
that's not what everyone wants to see.

She wanders, she wonders
into the depth of the seas.
Under a sad fortress
where her body bleeds...

She wanders, she wonders
what her life has become.
Being disappointed with routine,
wanting everything to be done...

She wanders, she wonders
when happiness will begin
instead of crashing storms
and overpowering winds.

She wanders, she wonders
as she sits in the rain.
Sick of languid movements
and atrocious pain.

She wonders, she wanders
into a place she wants to leave.
Desperate for something more,
somewhere she wants to be.
Crystal Freda May 2018
Her braids behind her head
flew with the steady breeze.
She rode her bike on her block
and she would climb trees.

Her bare feet were covered in dirt
wearing her checkered brown dress.
She would eat ice cream on her porch
and she had hope for the best.

She had a creative imagination
playing in all different ways.
Playing with dolls and dirt
would occupy her days.

She is grown up now
and if you look in her eyes
you will see it is me
and how time flies.

You should smile today.
You should remember
how long you have
lived to stay.

Some people did not make
it to this date
but somehow you are here,
you are well and awake.

You saw the sun shine bright
when you started your day,
and you were able feel something
as you read this write.
Crystal Freda Jun 2019
Glimmered warmth
congealed on the wintry rice.
A sumptous surprise
melting apart the frosty ice.

Twilit timbers
radiated rays of sunny soils.
Rooftop thunders
swirling and softening snowy oils.

Phthalo pastures
engendered the energy of dawn.
Spring's riant arrival
among winter's mix forgone
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Snowflakes ****** on your tongue
as you dodge a snowball
that had just been slung.

Skies so dreary and gray
but in your heart and spirit
you're happy all the way.

Angel wings to be spread
and snowball fights
and joyrides on a sled.

Ever so white and lovely
as you glaze up at the sky
all the snowflakes you see.

Filled with so much glee.
A wonderful snow day
this has turned to be.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Taupe limbs covered
with powdery snow
clumped together
with a silvery glow.
Harsh winds brush
each crystal mix
drops to the ground
from the taupe sticks.
Crystal Freda Nov 2017
Wondrous mountains up high
rising mighty in the night sky.
Stars glistening ever so
as you feel the wind flow by.
You slowly look below
at the misty, clouded snow
You look above so far
and get lost in the stars.

There is someone in need of a smile.
Someone who hasn't in a while.

Someone needs your hopeful cheer
to help them through all their fear.

Someone needs to hear your voice
before they make the wrong choice.

Someone needs your warm embrace
to stop the tears on their sombre face.

There is someone in distress somewhere
who doesn't have someone to care.

People need someone like you,
you have no idea what you can do.

I love you to the moon and back.
It's amazing when you think about that.
It's amazing how I think you are a star.
Especially when we've come so far.
You've held my hand for so long.
You've been there all along.
You had my back in every way.
You always decided to stay.
I don't know what I do.
If I knew I didn't have you to run to.
We all need someone.

Spirit awakening
of something for God.
Something making me
search for His love.

Deep, deep in my soul.
a warmness to my cold heart.
Something making me whole
believing in something I know.

Sometimes God puts a comma
because your story is not over.
Sometimes He puts a period,
but He will give you closure.
Crystal Freda May 2018
Hearts in love,
but sometimes in pain.
The sun will shine,
but there will be rain.

Some fruit so sweet,
but some can be bitter.
Sometimes you win,
yet sometimes a quitter.

Life shows promise,
but yet sadness.
You'll have love,
then it will vanish.

Some love is forever,
and it can be quite sweet.
Some can take awhile,
and some when you meet.

Love is a beautiful thing,
even if it can hurt.
You will always love,
and it will be in your heart.
Crystal Freda Jun 2019
every wandering day left in agony
searching for spots to go,
decifering how to feel
thoughts like powdered snow,
everything is too real.
oceans misting down my eyes
and psyche plundering ice
quickly melting down my skin,
nobody encounters the misty  lice
anchoring from the emptiness within...

Never stop burning.
Never stop your heart
from churning
to embark a new start.
Don't let no wind
or gale blow you out
or to be thinned
rather than bright and stout.
Never let your light spark out
or be watered on.
Let it be bright in life's blackout
always shining like the dawn.

Dazzling on
a fresh, splashing pond.
Demonstrating upon
the light beyond.

Is she cherished to you?
Is she is in your heart?
Do you miss her
when you guys are apart?

She patiently waits alone
for you to text her good night,
but nothing ever comes
and it leaves her in a fright.

Do you even care anymore
to brighten her day?
She needs to know she is loved
in order for her to stay.

She needs to know she is special
and she's needs to be told
that she is more precious
than a million pieces of gold...

Spring morning
of a sweet blessed day.
Birds chirping
in this lovely month of May.

Sun rising
as blue birds sing.
Light shining
what delight this may bring.
Crystal Freda May 2018
Flowers are blooming
and the grass is green.
The sky is vibrant blue
, and the trees are lean.

A beautiful day it is
for spring is here.
The sun is shining,.
and the air is clear.

Teal waters awakened the
seas,
refreshing the buds, and polished the
breeze.
Paradise petals softened
the massed, mauve
mist.
Hazel hues glimmered
gold brushing the taupe
tips.
Morning, glowing dew dusted
the flower's arroyo
seeds.
Spring's scenery whispering
jewel gardens bursting bonny
beads.

Pedal, pedal
down the carnation rose petals.
Little, pink flowing florets blossom

brightly as the cherry tree settles.

Cinnabar curls wrestled
against her dress's white, linen lace.
A gradient of green grasses glistened
as she pursued on her spring's race.

Lavender and lilac fragrance tingled
her firm senses and her freckled nose.
Easter emblems enlightened her ride
as inhaled the Gardena of a spring rose.

Laying in the grass
gazing at each star.
Watching each one sparkle
away so far.

Look at each twinkle.
Every constellation
rising in the charcoal sky
in this large nation.

Millions and millions
flashing much they be.
Below these heavenly jewels
on the ground is me.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
The moon's beam shined so far
like a giant flashlight.
It connected to every star
that glossed so bright.
The moon and the stars are tight,
that's why you see them almost every night.
Always together as one big family
in this massive nation.
Each one is shining
as their constellation.
The night sky brings an invitation
for a illuminating and glitzy transformation.

Through the night
and through the day.
I will fight
and I will stay.
Through the trial
and through the victory.
I will push through every mile
until I am free.

she glared at her
as she disappeared
from her life,
and maybe from her memory...

she never felt loved,
this was a hurt,
but not as much
as it could be...

she lived her life
like any normal kid,
thought of you a little,
not much from day to day.

If you didn't want her then,
she won't want you now,
you left her,
now she will steer you away
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
She looked at everyone around her
and all she could think was to disappear.

She knew she was alone already,
no relationships or people stayed steady.

Her heart beated alone
and started quickly turning to stone.

Only love or a helping hand
can do more than you think it can.

It can come from anyone
and that's all that needs to be done.

Just a smile or a conversation
can really change this nation.

I stand
as I
look at you.
Feelings
of pain
and shame.
This is nothing new.
Hurt struck
my heart
as I
reminisce.
Sorrow
injures
and
splinters.
This I don't miss.
Storm clouds
beckon me
as lightning
attacks
and
cracks.
All can be quite frightening.

She lay in bed asleep
until morning came.
She woke up
just the same.

She got dressed
in her favorite red shirt.
She ran downstairs
also in her favorite blue skirt.

She said a pleasant hello
to her father and mother
She ate her cereal
next to her brother.

Enjoying her bowl,
she soon felt a bit of pain.
Just a bit to her arm.
Then she felt it again.

She turned to her brother
in an annoyed soft of way.
"What are you pinching me for?"
"It's St.Patrick's Day."

She rolled her eyes.
"I shouldn't give you a pinch"
"Why is that?"
"Because you are the Grinch."
Wrote this on St.Patrick's day.

Stirring in our hearts
torrid colors
reeling in our spirits
everlastingly
near an amazing God.
God created
to make us strong.
Healing to the weak.
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
Hold on just a little bit longer.
The pain will be over.
You will grow stronger.

Life may have beaten you down,
but you are strong enough
to lift yourself off the ground.

Don't be afraid through this trying time.
Your help is coming this way,
everything will be fine.

Just try to smile and live on.
You can do this.
You are strong.
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
I'm strong
but not strong enough
they tell me.

Some battles
in my life
are not worth fighting.

I try to not be angry,
but try not to
keep it inside.

I'm not scared
and I'm not
trying to hide.

I may be broken,
but I'm not shattering
my pieces on you.

I'm strong enough
to live my life
and that's what I'll do.

God is my lifesong, my lovesong,
every song I have sung.
He is the oppressive orchestra
strumming life through my lungs.

He broadened my voice
to praise Him across the biosphere
up to the uppermost obstacles,
but a whisper beckons Him near.

He'll elevate my voice
caroling to His sweet symphony.
I'll proceed,overcome, and overflow
in the puissant Psalms He put in me
Crystal Freda Apr 2018
It baffles my mind every day
that someone would die for me
in such an excruciating kind of way.

I think of it all the time
how this man could show love
as such a beautiful sign.

How His loving hands covered in blood
could evaporate our sins and shame
so we could be loved.

We will always remember this one man
who died on this Easter day
loves us more than anyone can.

There were two little cats
whose job was to chase bugs and rats.
Sue was frisky. Lou was was lazy.
Sue would chase things with glee
while Lou would rather sleep softly.

They'd sit on the porch.
Sue would light up like a torch
waiting for prey to arrive.
Lou found sleep as a way to survive.

Their owner was an older woman
who would pet them with her soft, wrinkled hand.
She was proud of Sue and Lou
for all what they could do.

Now the old woman didn't know about Lou.
That sleep was all she would do.
Sue thought Lou was no good.
That she shouldn't get what she should.

They were fed the same
and attention that came.
Sue didn't understand
why they received the same love from this woman.

The old woman sat on the porch swing.
She would pet Lou as she'd sing.
Sue came in.
She was determined to win.

The old woman picked up Sue
and continued to pet Lou.
She petted the two
and told them she loved them for what they could do.

She said to Lou, "I love you when you sleep."
She said to Sue, "I love you even with the rats you keep."

"I love you for who you are
even as I am an old char."
The cats cuddled with her
despite how different they were.

She inhaled the sweet smells
of the soft, crisp, summer winds.
She touched the pink shells
on the white, coral sands.
She grabbed her pad
and retrieved her blue pen.
She began to add
words to her starting poem.
She described the ocean
as blue as a bird's feathers.
She watched the waves motion
in a brisk yet calming way.
She wrote and wrote
as the wind blew the pages
She noticed a small boat
hitting against the waves.
She finished her write
and felt an amazing feeling.
She knew it would be a great night
for a calm, breezy walk.

Blossomed gold skies
awakened her brown eyes.
Her thick lashes batted away
as she saw the sun start the day.

Glimmering sunlight peeked below
in the white curtains of her window.
She glanced down on her light sheets
slumbering her chest to her pale feet.

The sunlight brightened her heart
and she got out of bed for a new start.
Enjoying the juice in her favorite cup.
She was so glad that she woke up.

Walking along the beach
feeling such an amazing breeze.
My hand takes an outreach
and hangs on to yours.
We look at each other close
and turn around watch the sun
lowering as it goes.
Such a magical moment with you
watching the sunset bloom.
Pink and orange hits the sky so blue
and now a gorgeous night will come.

A beautiful thing.
Something only God can bring.

Rising above in the sky.
Glimmering above so high.

A bright yellow everyone can see.
Makes you feel giddy and free.

Let the Sunshine in your life.
Let it cover you with it's brilliant light.

waves tickled
her pale, cracked feet.
the salt filled air
felt so largely sweet.

the wind breezed against
the skin of her burning back.
as the sun took a closing toll,
the winds slowly slacked.

the pumpkin glow rayed
on her ***** blonde hair.
it lightly glazed
on her soft skin so fair.

the porcelain moon
glistened on the waves so brisk.
onto her warm, ivory skin
lay the soft, moist mist.

Just take my heart
and give a part.
A brand new day
and a fresh new start.
