TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT...

Tonight's the night, my non brother,
What have we done to each other?
Dusk approaches, time of dreading,
Home he is, to me he's heading,
Would this be true love?
He brings me no doves,
Tonight's the night, my non brother,
What have we done to each other?
Feedback welcome.

Postman, postman, stay away,
Do not bring me bills this way,
Take them to the Prime Minister today,
He can afford them, let's say,
Postman, postman, bills here do not purvey,
Postman, postman, stay away!

I gaze at every human face,
We have all been touched by grace,
How do you use your abilities,
To max out your capabilities?
If we all smiled with our human face,
The world would be a better place,
So we'd all be touched by grace.

Whinging is contagious around here,
I just never met Mr. Right, my dears,
But I have met some right players,
Like loverat Mr. Liar,
or Mr. *******, too bad,
Then there is Mr. *******,
Yes, whinging is contagious here,
Too bad I never met  Mr. Right, my dears,
Never mind, that's enough,
Being bullied toughens you up!

I dream of Earth, like a prophecy,
A towering vision of trees,
For climate change, we might,
Create gardens of earthy delights,
To preserve us all from endless nights,
If we don't, we could all be out of sight,
Our atmosphere could disappear,
Nothing and no one left around here,
Imagine forests of oxygen to breathe,
A towering vision of trees.......

"What are toxic time bombs?
I wonder, with no aplomb,
Old garbage and refuse tips,
Legacy landfills, full of blip,
Damaging environmentally,
So much for sustainability,
All the overflow of society,
How do we correct such wrongs?
All these toxic time bombs..........
FEEDBACK WELCOME.

Once we were young,
Simple toys we had for fun,
An old stuffed dog was a fave,
A much loved toy, give her a wave,
No eyes, fur all rubbed off on she,
Oh, those old childhood memories,
Simple toys for my sisters and me,
We all made our own toy story,
Once we were all so young,
Guess we made our own kind of fun.....

Our daily life and its trash,
Our shadows and secrets in a stash,
One day we'll be ancient lives,
Not strictly business, once did thrive,
All lost in the translation
to trash, our sacred institutions,
The mixed views of the robots,
For humans, they'll have soft spots,
All our shadows in a stash,
Secrets of daily life in trash!

Would happiness grow on trees?
Yes, if we planted billions, indeed,
We all know this thought to read,
Let's have a reafforestation industry,
Imagine how great the world would be,
More temperate with air to breathe,
And totally pollution unfriendly,
So, you see, happiness does grow on trees.....

Trees can talk, you know,
Trees resound in their glow,
The wind softly leaves and sighs,
Trees bless passers-by,
Trees have voices of shade,
Trees do chat in their glades,
No one to listen, so
Trees can talk, you know.....

This tribute to Grandpa to read,
Lifeline in our family tapestry,
Every stitch sewn with love,
Grandpa's guidance from above,
In our web of threads.
Echoes of patterns never ends,
Colours entwining, shades selecting,
Our Grandpa standing tall as a tree,
Our family tapestry,
In him we always believed,
Memories of the olden days,
Our family's exemplar, now passed away,
Endless hours, part of his story,
In perpetual light, he rests in glory,
Our Grandpa stood tall as a tree,
Yes, in him we always believed,
Stitching here endlessly,
Grandpa's place in our family tapestry.

This is a tribute to the greats,
The ones who we really rate,
We know we're not all saints,
Like blessed Mr. Mahatma,
Or now Saint Teresa,
This is a tribute to our greats,
Normal heroes we all rate,
Like police and fire brigades,
Who protect us from troubled days,
We rate volunteers and 'the nurse',
Without them, life would be worse,
Folk like them make life a better place,
A tribute to our mere human greats!

Trick or treat, it's not Halloween,
Treats are days of peace, it seems,
Peace on Earth for the kids and teens,
They're the cutest things you've ever seen,
Treats of a reafforestation industry,
For our future generations to breathe,
We must lift our game, humanity,
Trick or treat, it's not Halloween.

She dumped him along the way,

You're not an excuse for a man, tough!

We're not supposed to search for love,
Advice from Buddha, master from above,
One of the great healers,
Love is supposed to find us, to please us,
I ponder and reflect,
Yes, some sort of love finds us, I guess,
Like love from fur friend pets,
Love once from boyfriends,
Love from my old buddies and friends,
Then there's love you find from above,
You'd wear their hands like gloves,
Or love, in a day of sunlight,
Yes, a beautiful day to be alive!
This is advice from Buddha, above,
We are not supposed to search for love......

True lovers everywhere,
Romance charms in the air,

Hearts beat true, debonair,
Our love, such froth and bubble,
Can ease off any trouble,
Lovers' hearts in diverse shades,
Ever flower in romantic glades......

It was a personal quest,
Found some faith, no less,
Like Uriel and Baptist John,
As on the divine I pondered on,
Yes, modest conversion spiritual,
I got 'de-light', so mystical,
As I write a verse, lyrical..........

In our land of golden wattle,
I'll unstopper a bottle,
Uncork a magic genie,
Appearing cute and teeny,
She looks quite delicious,
Granting us three wishes
For Oz, quite ambitious,
What'll we wish for today?
In this magical genie way,
First, let's wish for full employment,
Then, an end for our youth deployment
In the Middle East, futile beast,
Last, we'll all wish for global peace,
Our wishes the genie does release,
I shall unstopper this magic bottle,
For our land of golden wattle!

UNEMPLOYMENT
All we hear about is unemployment,
Appears to be a global torment,
Couldn't we of  think creative solutions,
New inventions, using less pollution?
New ideas, concepts for the plebs to need,
What can we invent today? Yes indeed,
We could start by teaching global literacy,
Imagine how many books we'd need!
What about one  holistic food capsule,
Made in Australia, daily and healthful?
Then we could grow forests and sell trees,
The world does need oxygen to breathe.
We could sell books and food pills,
Get your own ideas, not such dills!
Let's hear this motto in our schools,
What can we invent today? Beautiful!
Inspired by the daily news. Feedback welcome.

In our Universe,
Far, far away,
Once were aliens,
Or were they angels?
When gods were men,
And men were as gods,
Until the last quark
Fades away, like stars,
Ineffable love,
Perpetual cosmos,
Close but far,
Intangible to feel,
Is invisible real?
Impossible dreams,
We are generations
Too young,
Is the Universe
So very far?
About our origins, somewhere in the Universe.  Feedback welcome.

Unschooling chicks and dudes,
Attitudes acquired in school,
No one is a perfect human, great,
Anyone can make dumb mistakes,
There's Darwin and evolution,
But ants and beavers---theory pollution,
And there's diverse ways of doing Maths,
Some teachers are pussycats,
So, from antediluvian schools,
We must unlearn some of those tools,
The attitudes acquired in schools,
Unschooling chicks and dudes.......

Yahweh and Lucifer got on so well,
God thought Archangels so beautiful,
God blessed each of you, so dutiful,
Lucifer, our light divine,
Now  fallen angel, out of time,
Evil love, Prince of Darkness,
Diablo Mephistopheles, no less,
Sad to say, Beezelbub runs Hell,
But, Yahweh and Lucifer got along so well,
"Until an hour before the devil fell...."

DIY DISASTERS!
Once upon a lifetime,
I knitted a disaster line,
My sister was expecting,
So, I thought I'd be creating,
That first ****** looked beautiful,
Second, third and fourth not so dutiful,
They turned into footy boots size,
So I bought socks in Kmart--surprise!
I never found a baby with four different feet,
For DIY disasters, booties can't be beat.......

Here, I dwell in no man's land,
On the flip side, there's men unwomanned,
They can be  a miserable band,
Desperately seeking a hand,
I read their profiles, for online dating,
Is this pulp fiction they are creating?
"Honest, sensuous, sincere men here,
Tactile and reliable," Great, my dears,
All searching for affection,
BUT, I want your ex's true opinion!
Can I have her phone number, please?
What do you mean she's overseas,
Like forever and permanently?
Oh, really, really, really,
What does your ex say about you, please?
Why complain about her to me?
Honestly, why are you unwomanned?
While, here I dwell in no man's land........

It was only a legend, my dears,
A normal town, living in fear,
There were fat feral urban virgins here,
Hell bent on their pleasures, cheers!
"Down with boys' daks, get here!"
A whole town living in fear,
Was it all an urban myth, my dears?
Urban virgins strolling the streets,
Battleships waiting for boys to meet,
Immaculate conception, each miss,
Having divine parthogenesis,
Yes, real fat funster chicks,
It was all about *******,
For each little Horatio,
Or was it a fantasy of bliss,
From an  urban ****** miss?
Did urban virgins wander away?
Normal town, not a normal day,
A normal town, living in fear...
It was an urban legend, my dears.
Bit of an urban myth, harmless fun. Feedback welcome.

Here we are all Melburnians,
Here there are genres of folks,
Listen up, let's have a joke,
One type of plebs here goes to church,
Or plebs go fishing, to catch some perch,
Some are drinkers and go to the pubs,
Some are football tragics, hubbub!
Then there's the anti-football league,
Not participating non-vigorously,
Then some folk go to the library,
Or some can belong to the Dr. Who Society,
Or they can be a combination of any of the above,
It's all a norm in olde Melbourne town we love!

Here you are again, O Dawn,
I've become Dame Washalot reborn,
Of suds, I am a champion
of expertise in washingdom,
What did we trade off for golden rings?
Is it still that biology-is- destiny thing?
Are all men such total duds?
Do you ever feel the need to suds?
Or am I queen of the rotten mongrels? Tough!
Now,  I have to vacuum, **** it up!
Vacuum now, or wash later?
Why I am a procrastinator?
This multi-tasking womanly thing,
Are wedding rings washing bling?
Whinging is fun, but no one listens,
See this washing glow and glisten!
So, here you are again, O Dawn,
Here I am, Dame Washalot reborn!!

Was it worth it?
Or was it a load of blip?
Who is now in Afghanistan?
Why, of course, the Taliban,
Each week, we lost some fine young man,
Or, indeed, maimed a lovely woman,
Now there's reprisals galore,
But wait, there's even more,
The refugees are still waiting,
For discrimination to be abating,
Thoughts emanate, like an aside,
Was your trip worth the ride?
No doubt, great feats in Afghanistan,
Thank you, every fine young girl and man.....

An Easter message from Heaven above,
Let's give each other "Weapons of Love",
What, you ask, are Weapons of Love?
Easy, smiles to turn the other cheek,
Dedicating our lives, work for Peace,
Sound social truths to be consistency,
Kindness for repricocity,
Real liking for all chicks and dudes,
Tolerance in our attitudes,
All bigotry to be scarcity,
Yes, kindness for repricocity,
Guidance from Heaven above,
A few good "Weapons of Love."
A reflection on the Pope's Easter message.

Refugees, seeking homes,
Think globally, guys,
Evolving ceasefires--grand.

So, a usual Melbourne summer,
We chat to anyone about the weather,
Very safe subject in Melbourne town,
Raining, then bushfires to cause a frown,
It's either stinking hot, then freezing cold,
Droughts and mists, or scorchers of old,
Four seasons in one day, to ring the changes,
Tomorrow, there'll be bushfires in the ranges,
But today, it's cold and rain,
Good drinking water down the drain,
Yes, a  usual Melbourne summer,
I even wrote a verse  about the weather......

The tradition of marriage,
Bourgeois blackmail and baggage,
Is it all a bargain for men?
Is this what white weddings meant?
All the love that is lost,
And what is the ultimate cost?
A divorce court pizza,
Magistrate smirks like Mona Lisa,
Four corners, one for each,
Dog gets the crust, if it can reach,
Cats get the anchovies,
Were white weddings for phonies?
When is the revolution?
Blancmange brides for pollution,
Bridesmaids-Little Bo Peeps on crack,
Does society cut us some slack?

We joined the bourgeoisie,
All ends in tears and hypocrisy.
A jaded look at the wedding industry. Feedback welcome.

Reception Centres should have been sued,
Plastic chicken and phony food,

Half the exes aren't alive!
