Christmas Love
anotherdream Jan 2018
Christmas lights,
Crystal snow.
Always so bright,
Always unknown.

Beautiful snow,
Arching mistletoe.
Wishes to blow,
Love can only grow.

Hanging plant,
Meeting place.
No more rants,
Only your face.

Take me in,
Pull me close.
Touch the brim,
Brushing my nose.

Only lasts seconds,
But lasts forever.
We don’t mind,
The chilly weathers.

Smoke of magic,
As you talk smoothly.
Don’t know what happened,
Just felt so soothing.

No flying reindeers,
No crimson sleighs.
Don’t need to see magic,
It lies within us, forever to stay.

Crackling wood,
Endless warmth.
You know I would,
Make you adored.

Nature’s winterhold,
Brisk cold breeze.
When you are cold,
I’ll be the one to freeze.

You need warmth,
I need humility.
Treasure of lore,
Gifts of opportunity.

Taking my breath away,
I can’t even recall the words to say,
Telling you’re perfect,
Endless fate, still worth it.
The Christmas I didn't spend with her S.B. <3

Snowflakes
anotherdream Dec 2017
Life is like snowflakes for not one moment is the same.
For you can never repeat and go back to a day,
Where you enjoyed life and lived it with purpose.
And yet we struggle with it because we think it’s not worth it.

Every moment, every breath will never repeat.
So make the most of each one so that when you look back and see,
Your history and wasted time of your past,
You’ll recall that you have to make every second last.

Moments are snowflakes for not one is the same.
Not one is identical in form, color or shade.
There may be many of them in the wind but they’re still unique.
But they are always there for you when you feel so tired and weak.

The wind surrounds us and tells us we can’t keep drifting,
Causing our confidence to melt down and start shifting.
Not one snowflake is the same for they’re so beautifully complicated.
Each pattern is so intricate as if it stated,

“I am myself and that is okay.”
“For if I never wake up I can still say,
‘You are loved.’”
After all, your patterns were created with the Father’s hands above.

Emotions
anotherdream Dec 2017
When life is thrown at you and hurled too fast,
You can’t even see, or even look past,
The struggles that hit you so evenly.
They leave no room for purpose or meaning.

I tried to color inside life’s challenging lines,
But realized quickly there’s not even enough time,
To draw what was always invisible.
The colors I used are not even giveable.

When you ask my name, and what you should call me,
I ignore the preference because it’s not worth recalling.
I’m just another lonely boy in a lonely world,
Where emotions and hardships are suddenly hurled.

The impact they cause is too painful to describe.
But if you felt what I felt, you’d know how I’d die.
It jabs you in the heart and never stops stabbing.
Yet I’m still standing here, my heart still beating,

It gives all it can give, pumping every bit of blood.
It doesn’t give up and just give up trying,
For it knows it’s ultimately dying.
It pumps as long as the sun is still rising.

Choices
anotherdream Dec 2017
Life goes by so fast, there’s no time to look back,
And notice the flaws and qualities I so definitely lack.
I’m traveling life’s everlasting train,
Which seems to only retrieve the sadness, the pain.

Simply put, life is death.
The only difference is,
Whether you choose to get back up and finally live again.

Life stabs you so many times, that you mentally bleed.
It seems there’s never enough of what you actually need.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, money is nothing.
It’s another headband in the great race we’re all running.

No products or items can fill our hearts and make us happy,
For we all are told that we need these things and we keep on adding,
The worthless objects compared to our immaculate souls.
We all can share them, but we feel too scared, too old.
The ones who risk everything are the shy who are undoubtedly bold.

Aftermath
anotherdream Dec 2017
Black ash,
Fallen trees.
Endless trash,
No more breeze.

Broken city lights,
Devastated buildings.
Eternal night,
No longer will be,

A time for peace,
A time for sleep,
A time to dream,
Although it seems,

There is hope,
There is life.
Let it go,
Seek and find.

Nothing to hold,
Only bright ashes.
I feel so cold,
Permanent rashes.

Sun fleeing,
Hope leaving.
People lying,
Love dying.

Suffer seeing,
Destiny weaving.
All is lost,
No more keeping.

Broken hearts,
Broken bones.
Nowhere to start,
Nowhere to go.

Lost in fate,
Found in despair.
No reason to hate,
No reason to care.
The aftermath that occurs after we give up...

War
anotherdream Dec 2017
War
Demons flying,
Angels dying.
Left here sighing,
Drowning from crying.

Fading ashes finally fell,
Drifting down to fate.
No reason to yell,
No reason to hate.

Sudden fire surrounding,
Life has you captured.
Lost in my drowning,
My happiness raptured.

You’ve been captured,
You have lost.
Audible laughter,
Infinite bombs.

You gave up,
You finally quit.
Please load your gun,
Refuse to give in.

You will burn,
You will die,
Take your turn,
Roll the dice.

By the way,
Life is death.
No words to say,
Only last breaths.

You’re never ready,
Always afraid.
Keep your arms steady,
Remember how you’re made.

Take your shot,
Take the chance.
You’ve only got,
Scars on your hands.

Yes they hurt,
Yes they bleed.
You feel their burn,
So hard to breathe.

Why do I suffer,
Why is there pain?
No absence of cutter,
No absence of blades.
A poem about the war within us all...

Qualities
anotherdream Dec 2017
Your heart brings the warmth I seek,
Doing the little things that matter to me.
You listen so well with your cute little ears,
And can hear me when I’m not even near.

Your eyes speak of fall’s endless leaves,
And leave me with repeating sweet dreams,
Where you could be you and I could be me.
Still wondering why these dreams aren’t realities.

You play my heart like a crimson-stained guitar,
Drawing me to you, no matter how far.
You know the strings, you know how they work.
I’m used to fixing, but with you there’s nothing to rework.

Your jeans are the sky’s only limit,
I can’t help but staring for endless minutes.
Your sweater makes sparks fly with every niche,
And I helpless fall for it with every stitch.

You are a present just waiting to be opened,
You have so much in you yet you don't show it.
Love has to be hidden, love has to be found,
Now I give in and embrace your every sound.

anotherdream Dec 2017
Your smiles fades,
Ashes of opportunity.
I lie awake wanting,
Nothing to do with me.

You were so close,
But so far away.
I need a dose,
To escape this pain.

Your eyes are open,
My eyes are closed.
You’re still going,
I lost hope.

You know your future,
I know my fate.
Yours is sooner,
Mine is today.

Your love is hidden,
My love is trapped.
You’re never ridden,
I’m always sad.

You’re getting better,
I’m getting worse.
You can write letters,
I can write words.

You can laugh,
I can cry.
You’ve never had,
Me by your side.

You define beauty,
I define outcasts.
You speak truly,
I fail to outlast.

You know friends,
I know the devil.
Your game will end,
I’m stuck on first level.

Poems
anotherdream Dec 2017
Smudged ink,
Written poems.
No one to think,
No one to know them.

Dabbed on paper,
With permanent marker.
Save them for later,
When times get harder.

Emotions in words,
Feelings in letters.
Someone gets worse,
Someone gets better.

They may be burned,
But not from our hearts.
We may have learned,
But end up scarred.

Poems draw us near,
Poems draw us close.
Stricken with fear,
Lost in our zone.

Only we know their meaning,
Only we know their story.
They keep us dreaming,
They keep us wondering.

We know these words,
We know them by heart.
We hold their worth,
We know their parts.

Know
anotherdream Dec 2017
Your face is perfect,
Hides the reflection,
Of you hurting,
Despite your perfections.

You know distance,
Back by the wall.
I keep drifting,
Can’t hold love’s ball.

Your eyes sing of haze,
Mine cry out why.
No reason to fade,
No reason to die.

Your flaws are perfect,
Redefining wrong.
Only so certain,
Don’t know how long.

You keep me up,
I keep me down.
I want to run,
And never be found.

You may be burned,
Love hurts us all.
My love has turned,
Rejected its call.

Sorry
anotherdream Nov 2017
Sorry I left,
Sorry I cried.
Sorry I wept,
Sorry I lied.

Sorry I’m weak,
Sorry I’m small.
Sorry for dreams,
Sorry I didn’t call.

Sorry for lying awake,
Sorry for tears.
You know I hate,
My voice, my ears.

Sorry for playing,
Sorry for laughing.
Wide awake praying,
Joy never having.

Sorry for talking,
Sorry for silence.
Hear my own walking,
But not your own siren.

Sorry for leaving,
Sorry for shyness.
Insecurity weaving,
Distance and dryness.

Sorry for mistakes,
Sorry for flaws.
I lie awake,
Only one cause.

Your hair is glowing,
Fine silver and gold.
Never dying of love,
Never growing old.

Your eyes are brown,
Autumn ceases to exist.
Worlds are renowned,
Time starts to shift.

Your skin is hazed,
Your fire unblazed.
It sparks the night,
Mistakes out of sight.

Your smile draws the sun,
Captive motion reflects.
Joy has only begun,
Regret has fled.

You left no trace,
Bearing the pain.
Still showing your face,
Still touching the rain.

You caused the smiles,
Made them open.
Running for miles,
Waiting for moments.

Words are just words.
Yet they ****, they burn.
I’d hate it to happen.
Leave stains on your shirt.

Time saw it happen,
Sat by and watched.
Hearts being blackened,
Love being locked.

Your divinity,
Love’s infinity.
Your song’s made to be,
Heard and sung beautifully.

Your skinny jeans,
Just made to be seen.
Your sweater enhances,
When their heart almost ended.

Your jacket adds some weight,
Keeps you warm, keeps you safe.
It feels so good, but feels so bad.
You know it should, but’ll never make a comrade.

Love is bright,
Love is true.
Love is simple,
Me plus you.

No more scars, no more lies.
No more shards, no more sighs.
No more tears, no more cries.
No more fear, no more signs.
No more ears, only eyes.
No more lows, only highs.

All of you,
None of me.
My turn to lose,
Your turn to succeed.

Your face is light,
My face is dark.
You play it right,
I play it hard.

You sit down,
I stand up.
You wear gowns,
I wear enough.

You light the spark,
I light the match.
You scatter the dark,
I open the hatch.

You wait once,
I wait forever.
You have luck,
I have letters.

Your eyes are brown,
My eyes are blue.
You comfort the down,
I heal the bruised.

Your eyes are cute,
My eyes are bright.
You love the mute,
I love the blind.

You are held back,
I am afraid.
Love’s what you lack,
Fear I erase.

You love to shine,
I love to cry.
You bring the love,
I redefine.

Looking
anotherdream Nov 2017
I look at your eyes, I look at your face.
I no longer try, I no longer fade.
I look at your skin, I look at your hair.
No fear from within, no burden to bear.

Your eyes are brown, your eyes are bold.
They make no sound, yet they are gold.
You know of pain, you know of joy.
No need to say, no need to enjoy.

Your smile is warm, your smile is bright.
It’s so adored, no words and no signs.
You make me blush and you make me cry.
I try to hush, but can’t help but shine.

You look good from afar, but you look perfect up close.
I no longer feel scared, I no longer feel alone.
You light up my day when it grows so dreary,
You shine up the rays and heal up the weary.

Flower Flower
anotherdream Nov 2017
Flower flower, on your stem,
Do you not worry less and less,
What you’ll be, like one of them?

Flower flower, in the wind,
Take my heart, take me in.
I’ve wanted nothing else since.

Flower flower, how you bloom!
You shine so brightly just to be in a room.
Time controls when fate is too soon.

Flower flower, where do you live?
You’re stolen of pedals and yet you still live,
Hoping there’s more you can happily give.

Flower flower, in the grass,
Are you not crying, are you not sad?
I’m already used to it with all I’ve had.

Flower flower, show me your face,
I want to be you, I want to have grace.
So I will always have the words to say.

Flower flower, please open up,
Show us your pedals, show us your love.
There’s no reason why you shouldn’t reach for the sun.

Flower flower, hold your ground,
Don’t be alarmed when you hear the sound,
Of others mocking and playing around.

Flower flower, release your scent,
Let us know you and no longer guess,
Of your colors, shape, or past.

Flower flower, tell me your fears.
I will listen to you whenever you’re near,
And hear your voice when you fail to endear.

Flower flower, show me how.
Do they not hurt, do they not gouge?
You were tried and forsaken, yet you make no sound.

Flower flower, hear my cry.
You’ve heard so many others so why not mine?
Seems all there is to do in life is die.

Flower flower, I beg you, don’t fade.
Choose to keep on, choose to stay.
Before the wolves devour my last words I’ve always wanted to say.

Flower flower, forgive my actions.
I faded away along with the ashes,
Holding the fire, holding the rashes.

Flower flower, I can explain.
I’m so desperate to say what I’ve always to say,
Waiting for that one miraculous day.

Flower flower, I made a mistake.
I know I’ll remember it all the way to my grave.
I’ve told you nothing, so don’t bother saying what you’ll say.

Flower flower, it’s not your fault.
You were never aware of this pain as I walked through the halls.
I kept my head held high, kept my shoulders tall.

Flower flower, where will you be,
When I’m buried and no longer can see?
Guess you were the person and I was the deed.

Candle Candle
anotherdream Nov 2017
Candle candle, in the air,
Where is your flicker,
Where is your flare?

Candle candle, in the dark,
Do you believe with all your heart,
That you and your light will never part?

Candle candle, in the night,
Do you not scoff at the sight,
Of the darkness that surrounds you?

Candle candle, light so small,
Do you not have one single flaw?
Nothing to hide, it only reflects off the nearby wall.

Candle candle, why do you flicker?
Do you barely hold on and hinder,
While bearing the cold harsh winter?

Candle candle, of golden warmth,
Why is it so easy to love, to adore,
All you are that shines brightly on the floor?

Candle candle, flame of bright,
Why so humble and yet reach for heights,
No one admires or sees, for we all are blind?

Candle candle, why so faint?
You have endless beauty of flame,
And no match to light it, only pain.

Candle candle, in my dream,
Tell me, are the things I see,
Things of old or present reality?

Candle candle, in my head,
Is the flame of my heart,
The one fire I haven’t lit yet?

Candle candle, tell me now,
Where to give up, when, and how,
So I can leave the dark and shine bright.

Candle candle, show me how,
To light my spark and take a bow,
For the candle’s voice is a small sound.

Candle candle, on the wall,
Let me glide and let me fall,
This is my choice, it’s not your call.

Candle candle, why so hot?
Draw me close just for a shot,
To see what it would’ve brought?

Candle candle, pull me close,
Tell me all, I want to know,
So that you will never hit a low.

Candle candle, listen dear,
Life is too short for sadness or fear,
Regrets, pain, or makeup-filled tears.

Candle candle, I know it’s hard,
You were never warned you would get this scarred,
And put up with the things of the dark.

Candle candle, cherish what you have,
And never even try to look back,
There are only lost memories that take what you had.

Candle candle, you were thrown out,
Rejected with force and left with doubt,
Of your flame that still yearns to shout,

Candle candle, here I stand,
Take all of me, take all that I am.
It’s my turn to play in love’s final band.

Shining Star
anotherdream Nov 2017
Shining star, tell me what it’s like,
To be alone and to always die.
Life is too long for smiles and lies.

Shining star, take me away,
Learn my heart, learn my ways,
So I can look up to you when it’s the day.

Shining star, how do you shine?
I have one in me and yet it’s stuck inside.
Guess I’ll have to give up and choose a side.

Shining star, why so happy?
I reach for it and yet I end up grabbing,
The lies that whisper and keep on laughing.

Shining star, tell me why,
I have to deal with this and always sigh,
Only to let my life be chosen by a person walking by.

Shining star, look down below.
There’s no more highs, only lows.
No more people, only boats.

Shining star, give me strength.
Steady me as I start to shake.
You know the ending, you know the length.

Shining star, stop my tears.
Fill me with you and no longer fears.
You know I am listening, you know I have ears.

Shining star, end my weeping.
Stop the lies, stop the believing.
You already know what I’m needing.

Shining star, give me an answer.
Tell me, is it my empty hands or,
My song that plays, no flags or banners?

Goodbyes
anotherdream Nov 2017
When the war has begun and I stutter a cry,
I can’t even bring myself to voice the word “goodbye.”
I can’t fathom the thought that I’ll never see their immaculate face,
And finally lose at life’s last daring game.

I wave my hand in agony and pain,
Knowing deep inside there will finally be a day,
When I look into the beautiful eyes,
Of the one who turns the lowest of lows into the highest of highs.

I can’t help but recall the happiest days,
When the day would begin and love would so lightly rain.
The drops fall down like a shower of sun,
And reap what is sowed and only begun.

I stand there with shaking legs,
Denying the thought of never seeing them again.
I know they’re happy and enjoying God’s grace.
While I’m still living the pain of life and yearning to see God’s majestic face.
A poem about saying goodbye to a close friend.

Perfections
anotherdream Nov 2017
When I break out a laugh and fake a smile,
I know deep inside I haven’t felt happy in a while.
But as I look across the room and notice your luminous eyes,
I knew right then it was time to try on honesty for a size,
And show you my hopes and fears.
For it’s my insecurities I hold onto so dearly.

With no one waiting on me,
There was no one to laugh and notice beautifully,
The perfections and flaws that make you who you are.
If you tried to blend in it wouldn’t be hard,
To find you among the others because you so uniquely stand out.

With every perfect piece you create love’s puzzle,
And make me feel honored and so very humbled,
To know you and yearn to know more.

As I looked across the room barely holding my head high,
I couldn’t even manage to hold in the tears from my face-drenched cry.
I couldn’t accept the thought there were people like me,
Who were always blinded by their lies and unable to see,
Their beauty and perfections that shine through the darkness.
Don't wanna say who this is about... haha

Paths
anotherdream Nov 2017
Grab onto life, never let go,
Forget the pain, you’ve come so close.
You know the path, know where it leads,
But there’s no reason to be a plant when born a tree.

You’re blinded by trails of regrets,
So stop placing money, placing bets.
You are who you are, so accept it.
It’s time to love and stop dreading it.

Life’s timer is running out.
So live in the present, live in the doubt.
Stop worrying of every choice you make.
Choices are choices, that’s why there’s mistakes.

The path ahead is so dark and gray,
For you know where you are but never the way,
To push past the darkness and head for the light.
For day to exist there has to be night.
This is a self-motivational poem about accepting myself haha.
