Distant views
Modern amenities
Unaware neighbors
Plush condominiums
Soft beds
Weary eyes
Deprived of sleep
Lonely hearts
Sleeping pills
Soothes nerves
No dreams
Only hallucinations
Constant fear
Of going down
Alien grounds
Will reclaim

When the whole world doubts you
And your heart says a resounding yes
Take out the Clash Cymbals to crash all doubts
Make your own music to drown the noise
Clashing cymbals make the right music
Clash and Bang, that upbeats the true spirit

The clouds welcomed the morning
With a heavy heart they float around
Gloom smeared across the canopy
Carrying the tales of sorrows from afar
Written all over the annals of the sky
A heavy heart, it can longer carry
Waiting for an audience to share their story
Every word raining across the valley
A lone audience drenched in somber moments

The depths of this Earth has Treasure
But not everyone is brave enough to
Venture to the dark world to bring Black Gold
Kissing their families good bye and
Venturing into the unknown depths
For it requires valor to spend their life in the dark
Unable to differentiate between the day and night
Only the yellow helmets with lights to lead the path
For they are not lucky to wish upon a falling star
As the nights are spent in the confines of the mines
Spending their energy to light up the world above
The faces smeared black, the wrinkle lines visible
Yet, the smile and enthusiasm is intact
Only fit for a brave soul, to endure the pain
All to feed their families and school their children
So they can have a brighter life ahead of them
For his sacrifice will uplift his children’s future
Most of the days spent in darkness
Yet, the minds are filled with bright dreams for family
Unsure of the sudden disasters that lurk deep down
Braving the uncertainties and all odds
The coal miners are a force to reckon
Or else, many of our lives would have been in perpetual darkness

The coffee has been brewing for long
Strong aroma filled every corner of the house
Poured into the favorite mug
The coffee tastes too bitter, sugar cubes of no help

We are all painters
Holding a color palette
Conceiving a painting
It’s how we mix the colors
Depending on our imagination
Whether we paint happiness
Or scenes of saddened gray
Situations yield the paintings
Sometimes splashing all colors
Or else black colors gloom
Universe has mostly dark energy
Yet, we have found our colors
To paint our abode, we inhabit
No matter, colors of joy and sorrow
We celebrate all colors
We are all painters, wielding the brush
To create new colors of hope

So many colors on nature’s palette
There are many moods and emotions
Picturesque gallery of many paintings
Forever framed in the travelers mind
Masterpieces cannot be recreated
If we only hold onto black and white
Immerse the soul in nature’s color
Many shades will color the spirit

When minds start warring
Reason loses its way
Chaos prevails*

The mind is comfortably numb
Unaware of the repercussions
Holding guard at the gates of Eris
Invoking the discord with intensity
Gazing endlessly at dull perceptions
Anarchy is just a breath away
Holding our breath just to stave away
But the cries of horror are unheard
The mind is comfortably numb

So many words are being spent everyday
Each of them, used to construct a bridge
Where communication can take place
And meet half-way, to greet each other
Wondering, if that what is to communicating
Only based on words and the verbose
Have we bothered to see the many layers
Which makes up the fragile ecosystem
Yet, so often we go on eroding the surface
Leaving it bare and exposed to threats
That communication will be wiped off
Not long, with the undermining of feelings
Communication will have borne the brunt
Of our callous attitude and lost forever
Not only waves of words that washes away
The beauty of meaningful communication
It's time, we also listen to each other's heart
And pay obeisance to the silence that speaks
Communication will have a fair chance to survive

The face that smiled
Once found the reason to compare
The soul grimaced

So many complaints
The concrete walls became wafer thin
Crumbling under the barrages

Eyeing the situation
But the heart contemplates otherwise
Only living in denial

From the depths of yourself
You can understand
The length and breadth of life

The boundaries in the mind
Is impenetrable by the Light
Of consciousness,
Concealing the obdurate ideas
Within the confines of the walls
Held captive, and mired in obscurity
Leaving the mind in desolation*

The dust of confusion hangs heavy in the air
Obfuscating the vision with thick veil
Until strong wind comes to clear it away

Conquer the world with love
With no boundaries and discriminations
Strive to win hearts
And vanquish the enemies within-
Of fear, jealousy, hatred and evil
Conquer the bane which plagues within
Believe in love and peace
Once fear is conquered, you learn secret of life
Be a traveler who conquers beauty of the land

The hardest thing to hold on to
is the change that suddenly sweep you off
Stepping on once calm water
suddenly the undercurrents catch you unaware
Change for the better or worse
you will have to swim upstream and find out

So many products on display
Shopping carts stare hungrily at you
With just a click you can order
Your minds tricked with colorful display
Giving a sense of ownership
Erasing the line between ‘need’ and ‘want’

Do we assess our relationship with this universe
and try to work at it to make it better
When we are here, there must be a purpose
How many times have we questioned it?
Or, asked the universe for a clarification
A one-to-one conversation with the forces
which govern us
Have we aligned ourselves with the celestial vibes
Or are we totally out of sync?
It's a very formidable force we are living with
That can make or break us
Why don't we go back and take a pause
To ponder over our equation with the universe
Maybe we will find the answers
To our mission on this planet

An art of twisting and flexing reality into perplexing hypothesis

Open your eyes to the beauty of this planet
Nature, since ages, is a work of creation
Its creativity is beyond compare-a masterpiece
We have to wake up to see the true beauty
Open the eyes of our souls to view the vivid colors
All artifacts are work of the master craftsman
Where else can we see so much creativity?
It is all around us, in the midst of nature
The testimony to the works of supreme creativity

With the crimson ink from the bleeding heart
The fingers dipped into it to write a memoir
Indelible will be the saga, etched in memory forever
No malice towards each other, but only gripping pain
But with the crimson hues, the love story gets a fitting adieu

When you reach a cross road
Try to carve out a new path
No one has ever dreamt about
For it’s your journey, and the choice is yours
You may be a lonely traveler
After sometime you will drive the destiny car
We may all come across crossroads
But we nevertheless give a **** about it

So many spices
Chef tried a culinary masterpiece
Connoisseur’s nightmare

Dangerous pursuits of the heart
Through the rough terrains
Life’s edges are exhilarating
Hanging from the faint hope
Breathtaking view of the uncertainties
Never a boring moment
Life that comes with exciting moments
In the pursuit, one may find treasures
Away from the humdrum
There may be fewer travelers
Dangerous pursuits are for the valiant hearts

If you shut out the windows of the heart
Pall of gloom will engulf every corner
Forever searching with weakened vision
Whom shall you rely on to find a path?
You are bereft of any companion
As you allow none to enter your seclusion
Denying the soul of light, withering away
Gradually pushing you into oblivion
As all your sense are misdirected in gloom
Even your shadow will be forgotten
If you wish to live in eternal state of darkness

As I sit here alone
Not an iota of thoughts
In my mind
Staring at the blankness
The darkness becomes deeper
As if I have walked into it
Thick black nothingness
Where only a dim light
Everything else has vanished
I me and myself
Confined in this area
Demarcated for the still mind
Not fear, but bewildered
What can darkness feel like
As it enters me
Fills every corner of my body
I am the darkness
Cannot distinguish the two
It feels good
Nothing to worry about
But getting acquainted with darkness
Face to face with myself
I can see clearly now

It’s colorful of all the seasons,
Rejoice for many reasons;
Get drenched in bright colors,
The rhythm of nature has wonders,
Dance to its tunes in ecstasy;
Create a world with humane fantasy,
The time to turn dreams to reality,
Rise above all hurdles and frailty;
Let the vivid colors of spring blossom,
As a painter, add some colors to the macrocosm.
