A spiral of light, like music to my eyes
I spun out into the golden grass
The stars shining brightly above me
Only seconds ago the vortex that seemed to knock me down
I heard a laugh, but no one was there
Maybe it was the stars
The moon was too kind to laugh
My silver feet began to work again
Daring the stars to tip me twice
The dampened earth beneath my twirling soles
A cushion when the dare was done
I laid there then, but
Only long enough to find Pegasus
Until I heard the muffled steps and swishing grass
As others wandered from the trees
Their candles sad mirrors
Of the vortex in the sky
One by one they challenged the stars
That tucked them all in to a bed of laughter and golden grass
I watched as they disappeared beneath the waving fronds
Until I could feel the hands of the stars readying the finale
Pulling me into a spiral of sweat and lazy zephyrs
They too knew that this was the last dance
But still I whispered up to their shining choir
Daring them to stop time.
Their hands were on their pocket watches
Pulling out the gears
A wish so close to granting you could hear the crickets pause
Yet soon they stirred
The spiral pushed, but laughter pushed it back
No longer harmonizing to their melodic lights
I fell again
This time over a root
My silver feet tarnished to grey
And lost their shine walking back through the woods

I venture outward
Past those devoured
Through endless hours
This adventure tower
Holds uncensored power
In higher spires
And liars' desires
Ending when I perspire
In a fire retire

I must live
When lust gives
A chance at love
I glance above
A dusty cloud
Through a crusty crowd
To see love must be found
In transcendence
And dependence
So I must trust
And ignore rust
To import thrusts
Of night's passion
Despite fashion

Time vortex
More or less
As time runs out
I must decide what it's about
Others help with that decision
They help by making incisions
And letting time bleed
My emotions they read
For their corporal greed
I tried to plant a seed
But their environment is frigid
Despite my attempts to bridge it
I become detached
From my potential catch
By days and years
And waves of tears
That stave off peers
Until I'm an old man
Feet buried in cold sand
I'll say that I tried
Once I'm used to the lies

with ocean eyes and words drizzled in honey i pulled you into the whirlpool that is my heart

for a while we spun beneath the stars
laughing in each other’s arms
for you had found a place you thought was safe
and i had found a boy who fell too quickly for the tides in my eyes

around and around we spun
our hearts beating to the same drum
you never let go of my hand
for you finally found a place to let your eyes rest
and a head to lovingly lie on your chest

but things got ever so rocky
when you got trapped in the vortex of my soul
you walked away with blood shot eyes
and tear stained cheeks
i walked away with my eyes a little more gray
from the tears that dripped down your face
a pen dipped in the inkwell of your heart
and a story to write about a boy who fell too hard

INSIDE THE EBE AND FLOW
OF A MAGICAL TIDE, I WANDER.
BALANCING, WITH DEEPENED BREATH.
ALIGNING IN SWIRLING LIGHT.
CENTERING IN VIBRATIONS
WITH GOAL FOR PEACEFULNESS.

MY SACRED HEARTBEAT ECHOES
WITH MUSICAL CHARM FLYING IN SONG
AS IF A WINGED BEING.
AS IF CARRIED IN A MUSICAL VIBRATION
FOR NEW BEGINNINGS.

MOMENTS WHISPERS IN WIND,
AS SOUL MERGES
IN HUMAN FORM TO EXPAND.
AS LIGHT DISINTEGRATES DARK
IN NEW TIMES.

I TOUCH THE GENTEL VORTEX
OF ANIMATED ENERGIES WITH INTENT,
LETTING HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS FEED
DANCING FEET THAT PIVIOT
IN THE MOXIE OF PURE LOVE.

THOUGHTS BUILD WHILE ROAD MAP
OPENS TO SURVEY AND CREATE
INSIDE DIVINE TIMING.

DREAMS SEEDED LONG BEFORE
FLOAT WITHIN, STARTING TO BLOSSOM
INSIDE THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE.

MY CORE OF BEING PULSATES,
WITH PURPOSE TO BE OF BENEFIT
TO SELF AND HUMANITY.

FREEDOMS BELL RINGS
AS OTHERS JOIN
TO EMANCIPATE THE WORLD
WITH COMPASSION AND LOVE.

I STAND IN DECLARATION
TO BE MY AUTHENTIC SELF
IN A WORLD MEANT TO THRIVE
AS EVOLVED BEINGS OF LOVE.
FOR ETERNITY.

AND, FOR THIS I FEEL BLESSED.
The cap button was on and when I looked up I felt guided to leave it that way. Happy reading. I experienced a floating bath yesterday. That is where you lie in a bath for an hour with no light and no sound only your heartbeat. It is called floating. You are in salt water so you float. It was amazing. This was first poem written after salt bath.

Petals of love fall softly
in a warm breeze.
They tickled senses,
readying self for storm to cleanse.

Thunder strikes shaking body
as roots of truth cling to
earth's soil for balance.

Cool air vibrates merging with breath
shifting consciousness to
awaken self to meet self.

A song is echoed proudly
seeing my mirror image,
to know who I am.

In moment, I whispered
with poetic beauty
as a sweet scented fragrances carries me
into a vortex of peace.

A place where poetic song meets the moment
And the moment is engulfed
with the flow of creation.
Inspired by Graff1980  Thank you
Black holes are consuming nigh
Everything to see
Galactic mess of stars and stuff
All that would ever be.

Neptune sings ‘bout winds and death
While Saturn sings along,
Its rings are light and made of ice
As Jupiter stands strong.

Eight planets (perhaps nine) or so
Could wrap around the sky!
Their beauty is as unmatched as
Venus’ clouds up high.

Empty dark with rocks that fly
Down to our steady lands
This earth, this sky, this ground well meant
Can’t burn it all to shreds

At the start of all we see
The sun’s rays never cease
Until it goes, like us, like those
Like me who’d be at peace.

Breaking on a weathered shore
The waves of time in tempest rhyme
Relentless through the open space
They’ve left my mind in a scattered state

The winds of change have blown this way
Across the void into my dreams
Upon the mountains of my mind
And through the valleys they do whine

The trembling earth beneath my feet
Shakes me up and all around
Gravity’s tremors wrestle with me
To pull me down into the ground

A raging flame roars in my ears
I turn around to face the sound
That fire that burns inside of me
I hold it close but carefully

The churning vortex draws me in
Its clutch is great and the goal is clear
I spin and spin till the daylight’s gone
And find no end to its endless song

There’s nothing mentioned that can’t be said
But the wheels of fortune can’t be read
The mind of matter can’t be defied
And the rains from heaven will not be denied

When rain comes down to quench my flame
When the earth turns round and pulls me down
There’s very little that I can say
But I choose to take it my very own way

This was a fun write in a serious sort of way. It started with a simple line a just grew from there. By the end of the first verse, there was a roadmap in mind but that roadmap kept changing right up to the last verse.

'I have never started a poem yet whose end I knew. Writing a poem is discovering.' –  Robert Frost
