One of my friends asked me why I got up so early.
I just told him I didn't know,
When really,
It's so that I don't stay up late,
And miss you.

With each passing day,
You slip a little further away from me.
So as I sit here in the nights alone,
I do everything I can
To keep you in my mind
Because losing you would not only
Break my heart,
It would break me.

If you want to keep me in your life
Then prove it to me.
I want to be there for you.
But only if you let me.
Say the words and I'll let you go.

I cannot stop the storm
But I will shield you from the rain
I will do whatever I can
To help you ease your pain.

I cannot keep your world from crumbling
But I'll help you start again
And if you need help picking up the pieces

If the demons

You asked me why I haven't left yet.
I haven't left because you are worth fighting for.
I haven't left because you mean the world to me.
You brought light into a world I thought was doomed to be dark forever.
I haven't left because you didn't give up on me.
I haven't left because I can honestly say,
I think I'm in love with you

He was like fire
And she was like gasoline.
He consumed her only to make himself
Stronger.

Things have changed so much
In the last few weeks,
That I'm starting to wonder
If that night was all in
My dreams.

You gave him entire galaxies
But in his mind
All he saw was a single planet.

You are so full of life
And so full of love.
So full of emotion to share.
Full of smiles and laughs.
He deserves less
And you deserve so much more.

After 16 years,
You'd think he would be able to spell
His own daughters name.

Abandoned by one family,

These bones in which I live in
Do not make a home,
They make a prison instead.

And it's been proven once again
That this house of cards
Was not meant to stand

Will my feet ever touch solid ground?
Or will I be walking on eggshells
For the rest of my life.

I guess the step I took
Was too heavy.
The thin ice finally broke
And we are slowly sinking
To the bottom.
Unable to breathe,
Conscious every second.

We all need saving sometimes.

There are so many things
That I love about you
It will take too long to name them all
So I'll name just a few.
The first thing I love about you
Is the way you smile
It makes me feel at peace and such
I haven't felt that for a while.
The second thing that I love
Is the way you're always there
I can text you about the dumbest things
Like how I cut my hair.
The third thing that I love about you
Is that you make me feel strong
When I talk to you the endless nights
Never seem as long.
The fourth thing that I love about you
Is the way you say oh my
I don't know why but seeing that
Makes me want to fly.
The fifth thing that I love about you
Is the way you hold me in your arms
When you wrap them tight around me
I feel protected from all harm
The sixth thing that I love about you
Are the faces that you make
I'll do anything to see them again
I don't care what it takes.
The seventh thing I love about you
Is that you're gentle but you're strong
My life is a raging storm
But with you it seems calm.
The eighth thing I love about you
Is that you're really funny
You may not know it but you always
Make my days nice and sunny.
The ninth thing o love about you
Is that you never go away
But don't feel like you're stuck here
You're free to leave or stay.
The tenth thing that I love about you
Is I don't feel so alone
You gave me hope when I lost it all
That my heart can find a home.
That's ten things that I love about you,
But there are many more,
You don't have to do this alone
Of this I am sure.

I've never seen a soul
Shine as bright as yours
You could give the stars
A run for their money.

If I knew this was our last goodbye
There's so much that I would say
I would start by reading you the poem
How you take my breath away.
Then I would say thank you
For not saying goodbye
And when you said you weren't scared of being cut
I started to cry.
Those words meant so much to me
Since I'd lost hope for someone who cared
But to me those couple words
Said if you need me I'll be there.
You made me feel like I matter
And that my many flaws do not define me
When you're around I can be myself
And it makes me feel happy
Your friendship means so much to me
So much more than I can say
And I really hope that this poem
Doesn't scare you away
But roses are red and violets are blue
My world was so ******* lonely
Until I met you

I would try to count the stars
If that would show you what you mean to me
I'd carve your face into the moon
For the whole world to see.
I'd cross the Sahara in search of water
If that will make you mine
I'll steal all the clocks in the world
And with them I'll stop time

I am an addict.
But not to drugs or alcohol
I'm addicted to my sadness.
I need to let it go, I know I do.
But I can't seem to let go of something

It's okay,
Dance with as many people
As you feel you need to in order
To tame your wild soul,

All the words I never said
Are getting caught in my throat.

I don't blame you for not choosing me.
Why choose something broken and damaged,
When you can have something beautiful
And whole instead.

I have flaws, many of them.
I have issues, many of them.
I have insecurities, tons of them.
But despite my flaws and imperfections
I will love you with everything I have.
I will love you at 2 am, and 3 pm.
I will love you like the world is ending.
I will do everything I can.
And one day, while your sitting there
Alone in your big house,
I hope you think
"I should've fought for her, cause ****,
It would have been worth it in the end"

I think that we are all made to be alone,
But when we find someone who makes
The loneliness seem less lonely
And the silence a little lighter,
We call it love

You turned my hollow bones
Into a loving home

I won't tell you to not be sad
Because someone out there has it worse,
Because often times, there's nothing worse
Than being stuck in your own mind.

We always complain about our lives
The lack of things we've done and seen,
But sometimes we forget to remind ourselves
That we are living someone else's dreams.

Please don't fear my storms,
For they are needed in order to grow
The flowers.

You pulled my walls apart
And brought me out of the dark
You shined light on my heart
Right from the start.

And it's okay, maybe we're both a little broken,
But that's okay,
Because it turns out our broken pieces
Fit together perfectly.

You didn't give me a set of wings,
You simply showed me the beautiful pair
That I had never knew I had.

My life is a never ending desert
And you, you were a beautiful lake
Right in the middle of it

If only you knew how many times
I typed those three little words,
And then deleted them before hitting send

You told me that you loved the rain
I should've known it was a lie
When you realized I am a hurricane
You quickly said goodbye

Being alone
Makes me feel less lonely.

Caught in between not wanting to give up on us
Because everyday could be our last
And
Caught in between wanting to give up
For the exact same reason.

Why do I try so hard
To keep you in my life
When clearly you have no desire
To be in it?

Not even a long walk in the rain
Could  wash away the disgusting feeling
Your touch left behind.

So tell me,
Where are we going this time?
Are we both going to fall?
Be madly in love?
Or are you going to be
Just another person
Passing by
With no intention to stay?
