Muse
Her brown eyes are like polished
mahogany, their rich hue deepened with a subtle glimmer, lacing beauty into every flower bed they touch. They hold an irresistible warmth and clarity, reflecting a depth that's both inviting and enigmatic—like the first sip of coffee on a quiet morning, awakening something deep inside. They shimmer, soft as stardust, each glance revealing a gentle spark, as if they're harboring a soft, unspoken magic just for you.

Sinners
On a crisp autumn evening, in your warmth I find,
A paradise surpassing what heaven designed
In the quiet spaces between our whispers,
I find solace in the trust that lingers.
In the garden of our love, where skies are blue.
Just like Adam trusted Eve, I trust you,

The heavens may brand us as sinners, it's true,
But what's sin to the depth of me and you?
The first sins were woven in trust's embrace,
Where the forbidden fruit met love’s tender grace.

They trusted, as do I, with every chance,
Though rules may crumble, and judgments glance.
Perhaps our love defies the heavens' perfection,
Perhaps we offend Gods with our affection,
But our love outshines any celestial objection.

Why seek heaven's glow in distant height,
When beside you, my love, is my purest light?
Because what has heaven got that I can't find right here with you?

Care for you
If I were a painter
Every day, I know,
I'd paint you in colors,
Which will always glow.

If I were a sculptor
Working all alone,
I'd carve you a statue
From a precious stone.

If I were a potter
Bent over the wheel
I'd knead your soft body
With the greatest zeal.

If I were an angel
From the starry sky
I'd make you immortal
With my holy eye.

Yet, I'm just a plain man
With an honest view,
I can do no other,
But to care for you.

Horizon
As I gaze upon the horizon
where the ocean kisses the sky
as far as the eye can see
I understood why people thought it
was the edge of the world
Such a beautiful sight,
yet out of reach
Maybe that's why people
thought it might be a
place where they would fall,

But when I saw the
horizon reflecting
in her eyes
I did fall

Olive and sage.
You said you loved the colour green
The shades hidden in leaves
the froth beneath the seas

And everyone that knew you
learned to love the colour too
And now I see it
in every metaphor of you

Stepping Stone
I know we meet
people for a reason
and every time I didn't
think it was the case,
hindsight proved me wrong
ten times out of ten.

But us? I can't seem to accept
you were a stepping stone,
a lesson, a memory etched
in my spirit only meant to
redirect me to another place.

I just don't want what comes next
without you here to share it with me.

Tell me why I can't seem to
come to terms with us being
not only impermanent
but seemingly forgettable.

I cannot bring myself to let go

can i tell you a secret?
can i tell you a secret?

when the sky is at its darkest hue
and the clouds are a light gray-blue
and i write poetry.
it's all about you.

Why do I love you?
I think at times,
It's your smile or laugh,
And the way you hold my hand,
But maybe,
The biggest reason of all,
I love you because,
You remind me to love myself.

Polaroid
I keep your polaroids
in the scarlet pouch
laced with memories of our childhood

I have your polaroid
glued on my journal with
some dried fragrant
dandelions to keep you alive
in my head

I keep you caged in a polaroid
and maybe that's all I have,
that's YOU

Layers
He flipped the pages
one after another
his curious fingers
tracing each syllable
of her untold story,
the deeper he dived
in her mystic maze
his fingers were smudged
with ink and her tears
the words were stripped
her soul was bare
and he fell in love
with her cryptic layers

A December to remember
You were here
just for a while.

I can still smell your scent
from the last hug you gave me.

You made December feel
like an eternity,
but maybe for you
it has been just a blink.

I could not watch you walk away
because it would have meant
that your back was the last thing
I could see.

I'd rather remember your smile
because it was the first thing
I fell in love with.

end it
if it feels like a high when they finally text you back,
end it.

if you feel like an addict going through withdrawal when they ignore you,
end it.

if you've stopped telling your friends about it because they tell you to end it,
end it.

if you've stopped talking to your friends altogether,
end it.

if you feel like you want to write a poem about how they make you feel,
dear god end it.

A warm hand
i want to be alone
for its bliss is lovely

but i hate the feeling
of no warmth beside me

the dimness of the lamp
my only saving friend
why don't you stay
so we can grieve together
for we are too similar

this is the part where someone comes to mind
but truth to be told
my someone has always been a lie
the words were true
but my mind has been blank
all i know
is i crave for a warm
kind
hand.

What makes you a poet?
You’re not a poet because you know those ‘fancy’ words
You’re a poet because every word you write comes straight from your heart

You’re not a poet because you feel alone
You’re a poet because pen and paper are your biggest companions

You’re not a poet because you understand emotions better
You’re a poet because you let them flow freely

You’re not a poet because people admire your work
You’re a poet because you write for your own contentment and not for people's consent

You are not a poet because you’ve failed in love
You’re a poet because you’ve been in love deeper than anyone else

You’re not a poet because you are strong
You’re a poet because you don’t hide your weaknesses

You’re not a poet because you can heal hearts
You’re a poet because you know what it means to be broken

Everything to me
You meant a lot to me until I realised your body runs cold.
You meant a lot to me until I recognised the ways you are bold.

You meant a lot to me until I heard the number of times your voice cracks throughout the day.
You meant a lot to me until you spoke of things you were initially afraid to say.

You meant a lot to me until
I saw some of your chosen paths
You meant a lot to me until
I saw the way you laughed.

You meant a lot to me until
You told me the secrets you forgot to keep inside.
You meant a lot to me until
I stood by you while you cried.

You meant a lot to me until
I heard the mistakes you made in the past.
You meant a lot to me until
I discovered how different you were from the last.

You meant a lot to me until all your flaws were laid out to see, but after all this time I've realised you don't mean a lot,
You mean everything to me.

A precious soul
Lovely little sister
Inseparable friend
Through the sweet and bitter
You are here to the end

To me you are an angel in disguise.
Full of intuition, you are intelligent and wise.
You are my guiding star. You are my shining light.
You are my everything, what helps me through the night.

Always giving and helping through good times and bad.
You are the best friend I've ever had.
Through trials and tests, right by me you stood,
And you gave me your hand whenever you could.

You're in my heart and my prayers.
I'll wipe your tears, I'll get rid of your fears.
Whenever I have gone through some cloudy days,
You've been my sunshine in so many ways.

You are my heart. You are my soul.
You are my savoir, who makes me feel whole
If I had one wish, it would surely be
To give you as much as you've given to me.

You are many things, but most of all you're my sister and my friend
My gratitude for you has no end

Happy Birthday
It's your birthday and I sit down to write,
Reminiscing those times so bright.

Here it is,Your special day,
So I thought I'd take this time to say
How nice it is to have a friend
Who listens and understands.

The kind of friend who's always there,
Ready to show that someone cares.
You've cheered me up when I was down Just by simply hanging around.

And oh the times we 've spent in laughter
Have made me chuckle for many days after.

Within you, I've found the perfect friend,
A mind that I can comprehend,
Within you, I've found the perfect friend
With whom I can be real and never pretend.

I make you mad and you drive me nuts,
But we have the thing that is called trust.
We laugh, we cry, we make time fly.
Together we smile, together we sigh

Hoping that all your wishes comes true,
and your day is as sweet as you!
Wanted to share this thought with you
Having you as a friend makes it my special day too.

Happy birthday to you again,
And I hope that you soar.
I'll always wish the best
Because you know I love(hate) you more!
Happy birthday to my best friend.... You've been with me through thick and thin... And helped me get up when I feel down.... So thank you for everything❤️

After all, I am your friend
Pain drains you everyday,
You try to fight.
Those scars of yesterday;
The lonely nights.
You feel lost in darkness
Grief consumes you
And so does madness.
No light to look up to,
You sink in despair
You tell yourself time and again;
"Life is not fair."
"Life is not fair."

Well then, let us make it fair.
Take my hand
Take the light that I share.
Call me your friend.

For I know how it feels
When your life is like a jail.
Where you hide with your tears;
And let your dreams get bogged down by your fears.

Yes, life won't be fair.
But, don't give up and take this light that I share.
As much as I can, I will help you till the end.
After all, I am your friend.

Friends
A friend is like a ring of gold,
Its value known by those who hold,

Friends are few and far between,
Loyal, true, opinions keen.

On dark nights when tears often flow,
At times in life nowhere to go,

A heart that's broke and cannot heal,
To give advice, a love that's real.

Always there in times of need,
Healing wisdom, words to heed,

The brightest star within the sky,
No price to pay, no reason why.

A sack of Gold within his hand,
The stranger walked into the land,
To buy and sell, or some to lend,
And yet the gold brought him no friend.

In a life where things can rot or rust,
Where all must die, return to dust,

There is no thing which one can hold,
Except a friend worth more than gold.

If you find this precious gift,
That friend who truly spirits lift,

Do not betray, do not forget,
For those who do will long regret.

You
You
In all our time together
You’ve come to mean so much to me
You are my best friend
And I'll always be glad I met you
I know I can be a pain sometimes
Just know that I mean well
I'd probably be a mess
If i hadn't met you
as much as I've helped you
You've helped me too
So I'll repay you by letting you
Know how great you are
And know that I mean every word
The world is full of many people
But there is only one of you,
One perfect amazing beautiful you

Silence
Silence
A beautiful word
but yet such an empty meaning
Usually it means you're alone
which is an empty feeling

I love the sound of silence
Of the quiet between the songs I hear
And the music of the silence between the notes

Nothing speaks like silence
The build up of emotion, how it sets you
in a state of deep thought

There's beauty in silence
except when it echoes a void.
Sometime silence is  so loud
that it can be deafening

Silence is not keeping quiet because you have nothing to say
Silence is having a lot to say
but no desire to speak

Silence speaks, and comforts me as it embraces me and takes me to a place
Where everything is intertwined within the light of the stars and the grass of the earth.

Remember Me
Remember me when you feel all alone,
I'm always here for you, I'll never leave you on your own.
Remember me when your heart is broke in two,
I'll always be here to pick up the pieces and heal your heart for you.
Remember me when you feel depressed, stressed or angry,
I'm always going to be by your side through it all, please believe in me. Remember me when you're confused or lost,
Because I'm always here for you no matter what the cost.
Remember me when you're feeling ill in any way,
I'll always be here to nurse you back to health any day.
Remember me after I am gone,
And just for you, I'll be sure to ask God to leave Heaven's light on.
Remember me please, don't forget,
I'll always remember you, our friendship I'll never regret.
Remember me if you're in Heaven before me,
Maybe you can guide the light for me to see.
Remember me when you don't think you can ever love again,
Because I am here waiting to love you, but I can wait 'til then.
Remember me when you feel like nobody loves you,
Just so you know that I'll always be here, forever too.

Eternally broken
Stuck in the shell I can't shed
Help me, I'm locked in my head
No one can hear me scream, not even plead
Cutting my arms, watching them bleed
I can't take much more, someone end this pain
Ready to take a bullet to the brain
It too much to bare, just let it end
I beg and cry, but the message doesn't send
Louder and louder, but no one can hear me scream
Too much pain, too much, please is this just a dream
No one can help me now, I'm all alone
They can't hear my painful tone
Someone please, hear my cries
I yell and yell, but no one tries
I guess no one cares, no one is listening
My tears roll down glistening
I'll shut up and put on a smile
I'll walk a broken glass mile
Just know the smile I wear is to hide
I am eternally broken inside

First love
I'm a firm believer that you never truly stop loving your first  true love.

My first true love, she was beautiful.

She was beautiful after she had danced under the stars and the moon, finally letting herself be free.

She was beautiful with wind blown hair and sparkling,
mirth filled eyes as we laughed at some joke.

She was beautiful in the way she walked,
with the sassy swing of her hips.

She was beautiful in the way she talked,
the sound of her voice was like music to my ears.

She was beautiful in the way she smiled, the genuine smile that she barely showed anyone,
the one that she said only I ever noticed wasn't forced.

She was beautiful in the way she laughed,
that hearty laugh that made me so happy.

She was beautiful in the way she cared for everyone important to her, even if it meant sacrificing her own happiness.

She was beautiful in the way she cried, because when she cried in my arms,
it meant she trusted me enough to see her like that.

She was beautiful in the way she smelled, her scent was sweet, something I could only describe as the source of my peace.

She was beautiful, in the way she loved wholeheartedly,
even if I never truly noticed it for my own foolishness.

And she is beautiful as she tries to fight the illness that threatens to take her life, even if the only reason she decided to live, was for others.

Walking in the winter
Walking in the first snowfall
through a thick familiar wood
listening for winter's call
near where an old house once stood.

A cardinal splashes red nearby
as he flits about among the white.
Before long he'll likely fly
to a cedar tree to spend the night.

Within this world of falling snow
the only sound is snow flakes as they hit
and a desultory single crow.
Somehow the silence seems to fit.

I pause to let knee's ache subside
and inhale a breath of air
here where forest denizens reside.
I'd not want to be nowhere else

Those tears
You know those tears you get
When you can't stop laughing
Because you don't want to
And they just rest on your cheeks
Until you finish your laughter
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you watch a sad movie
And you feel like the characters are real
Even though they're not
And the tears just rest by your lips
Until the movie is over
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you say goodbye to a friend
And you don't want them to go
But they need to go
And the tears just rest on your chin
Quivering
Until the dust settles
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you walk down the aisle
And everything is perfect
When love is beautiful
And the tears just collect on your eyes
Until you need to blink
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you remember yesterday
And you wish it were alive again
But it isn’t
And the tears just fall to the ground
They soak into the Earth
And you can't wipe them away
