In Life’s regime, End is usurped by a new Beginning

Dragons spewing fire
Incarcerating the burning soul
Hatred seeded within
Raging across the premises
Engulfing everything
Turning to ashes
Blown away by the winds
Remnants of soot
Scathed with dark stains
Fire burns one and all

Dreams are yours
Color them as you like
Vibrant hues of the world
Are on your palette
Paint a rainbow
Or, rainbows over rainbows
Look up at the sky
Lots of colors
And explore what lies beyond
Over the rainbows
And head held high

Rains lashing down
The thunderous clouds
Applauding every drop
The clouds have opened up
Their hearts to bring hope
To the parched souls on Earth
The seeds have been lying dormant
It’s time for them to germinate
Covering our garden with greenery
For it will find roots in the soul
Deeply entrenched with belief
That every shower does not wreak havoc
It also ushers new life and hope*

Incessant rains lend a mystical landscape
Rejuvenating lives which lay dormant
Blessed with a new lease of life and vigor
Praying to the sky to shower us with grace
Free spirits are filled to the brim, with joy
Dancing to the music of happy souls
Running towards the end of the Earth
An unhindered view of the misty hills
Wondering, the lucky ones residing there
Who can touch the clouds and play hide-n-seek
I feel the rain washing away my last bit of pain
I am but a part of nature, sharing the happiness
Rains galore, fill each and every crevice of pain
With the new hope of life, from which we can gain
Mystical landscape, a breathtaking view
The rains have opened up a new way of life
Full of hope and brimming with joy, I welcome the rains

Overcast weather
Rains have dampened the spirits
Rescued by shared parasol

Every day we walk towards the end
Of a phase this life has to offer
Trying to gather ourselves
As we are stretched toward all directions
So many things tugging our attention
Filled with hope, our minds
Weave so many dreams everyday
As if we are here to stay forever
But life has a different mirror
Which reflects the ultimate reality
Albeit, we do not pay heed to it
Creating our own reflection
Though, distorted it may be
We believe in it
We don’t want the transient moments to fade
Never realizing the path will end
Taking us towards a new journey

In one-to-one with silence
there is an unknown language
which does the talking
otherwise drowned
in everyday languages
not the mind
but the soul does the talking
a vortex which pulls you in
towards the you, within
unknown for a long time
the one that lived, neglected
let silence prevail
as there is so much potential
to be in touch
with the world within
which needs devotion
a prayer, in silence
bring you back to yourself

The war ravaged everything
Red smoke of revenge
Blood boiling within
Bloodshot eyes devours
Life comes to abrupt halt
Only they see the end
Nothing stops the atrocities
Until all is lost

The soft rays of light
Streaming through
The veil of a lazy day
Covers yet to come off
Filters through
The windows of life
Radiant and playful
Messenger of hope
Warms the soul
Mixing with morning air
I inhale the aroma
of light

Turning the pages of the book
Reading between the lines
Full of mental notes jotted down
Dog eared pages in between
Reminder of the favorite passages
Leather bound covers
Held the secrets of the words
Reading them many times over
Yet the mind is insatiable
Reading all over again, cover to cover

Do we make reality so fearsome
That we have to run away from it
Why this inherent phobia of reality
That we have to cower before it
Whereas the lies we tend to believe
And create a web of life around it
Reality is not an illusion
It’s how we perceive the world around us
In reality, kindness prevails
In reality, we owe allegiance to integrity

Reality why don’t you align with my dreams?
It seems to be a parallel journey, never to meet
And reality is casting a grim cloud over my dreams
It’s time to pitch reality against dream
To fight it out at the ring- Smack!!
Now, I have to decide the winner
And hold the hand of the winner, and accept the verdict

In the muddy waters
he sees a reflection of himself
but not even a splash of dirt on him

How long can you wait
To free your mind
From the despairing thoughts
Creating lacunae
Don’t let the shadows
Take over the true identity
Let it be a reflection
Not an alter ego
Mirrors and mirrors
That mirrors your thoughts
Caught in-between
The mesh of reflections
It’s hard to find your true identity
Mirroring the pale reflections
Left as a silhouette
Standing there unfamiliar and unsure

Do words scare us?
When it stays inside
For too long
Tripping the brain
With unusual activities
Prancing around
Every corner of the mind
Neurons getting agitated
High voltage drama
That creates havoc
Mixed with emotions
They dissolve in our blood
Weird chemical reactions
Make us edgy
Sometimes, hallucinations
Insides reverberating
As to find a release
Tensions running high
Words upon words
Building a fortress
Not long, we hide behind them
A prisoner in the mind
The ink has to flow
Where’s the conduit?
Search for the pen
Wield the unsheathed sword
Cut across the fortress walls
Let the emotions flow
Words no more
Till the next time
For now, there’s peace

As I call upon the night
To have a conversation
Darkness gives way
And night comes alive
Conscious mind at rest
Sub-conscious takes over
Memory box is brimming
So many anecdotes
Not afraid to emerge
Confident around the dark
Shying away from the day
Night has a life of its own
Feeling antsy and inundated
Quivering hands open the box
Full of pictures in sepia
A retrospective of events
Which were long buried
Sleep has abandoned me
Old memories keep me awake

Wrapped with the blanket of darkness
Listening to the medley of insect songs
Flashback of the day’s events playing
Repetitive script and the same actors
Interspersed with very few comic relief
Jaded sameness and the futile acting
Going through the motions everyday
Night does not inspire a new plot
Looking at the quietness of the night
Gives some solace to the hurried life
Trying hard to script something new
Surrendering to the night for some hope
When the curtain will lift within
Revealing the dawn of a new beginning

One moment can hit the core of our soul
Creating ripples, reaching out to unseen shores
Long before we realize, the ripples fade away
Leaving us with the moment which has sunk deep
For its weight we have to carry, memories do not fade
Somewhere in the bottomless pit of our life, it remains
Coastlines have long faded away, as it was only ripples
Which just touched the edge, and kissed it goodbye
Long before we realize, the ripples fade away
Leaving us, with its far-reaching effects

As we wonder what's beyond the sky
have we figured out what's beneath our feet
the ground that we are standing on- terra firma
we have much aspirations to fly beyond
and inhabit some of the planets in space
dare we go deeper to the core of this planet
for we may not know what it shall reveal
Are we standing on safe ground?

Everywhere there is darkness descending
Gradually threatening to take over humanity
The only audible voices is of grievance
Diminishing light of the eyes; only vices visible
The parasitic dodder has destroyed crops
Pests and locusts have abducted the grains
Starvation is causing uproar amongst people
Waterways and the fresh rivers are contaminated
Every drop of water has turned to poison
We are all exhausted and smothered with desperation
Covered in dust and mud, the minds are all paralyzed
The sun’s rays now obliterated the ozone layer
Ultraviolet rays now degenerating us faster
Ocean’s have breached the lands at alarming rates
As if rubbing salt over our wounds and despair
There is anarchy, protest and resentment everywhere
All humanity is up against nature, trying to salvage
The last remaining hope to save this Earth

Take a leaf out of nature
Writ over it, the scripts of nature
Trees adorned with hope and splendor
The last leaf brings hope during winter
Spring shall visit us with new scriptures
We will add one more leaf out of nature

How much more to build on the known
It’s time to seek the unknown
Bring forth a new saga waiting to be narrated
Search deep and beyond the realms
Many more place yet to be visited
Where the new ideas are yet to be explored

If seeing is believing
Do we really see?
Or, we see what we believe?
We see based on perception
Are we really aware?
Are we aware of the eternal truth?
It’s just the infinity.
Beyond the realm of human consciousness!
Are you ready to take the leap beyond?
If you can really see afar!

Every time we see beauty with eyes
Are but transient moments
For the eyes may not be guided by the soul

I took the forlorn path
And came in front of love’s door
So many imposing arches
Crowned the long corridor
My footsteps echoed throughout
I am the only visitor in many years
The evening light sneaked through
Creating a mesh of intricate patterns
Soon the arms of light will shorten
Leaving this place in darkness
It’s time to ignite the love’s flame
This seeker has come a long way
And the place becomes more familiar
As silence and darkness falls
Soon the candles will be lit
Imposing windows with
Colorful stained glasses will shine
Reflecting the few candle lights
This place will rejoice with reflected lights
Now that peace stays here
It’s a haven for a lover who seeks
Love shall be showered with eloquence
Here that the lover will find his love
World’s door may close behind me
But eternal love will be my abode forever

Garnering mass appeal
With fabricated stories
Excitement roars
But ends with whimper
