Voluminous v I n e s
producing the sweetest f r u I t s.
Growing with positivity and l o v e
all the way down to the r o o t s.

One snip was all it t o o k
to break the vines a p a r t.
Dead and extremely d a m a g e d
spraying black ink around the h e a r t.

Strangled in b r o k e n e s s
as lonely scissors cut the l i n e.
Growing the sweetest f r u I t s
and one snip just broke the v I n e.

A rainy, charcoal sky
emptying teaspoon tufts
on the palms of maple orchids
as sleeves of liquid flowed kinda rough.

She ran from this in her leather jacket
and her umbrella covered the  basin.
She reached her car dampered in rain
and drove to a gas station.

Her fringed scarf absorbed with water
anchored on her neck like a hard stone.
The storm grew heavier then lightened
as she sought to drive calmly  home.

We are born.
We die.
We say hello.
We say good-bye.

Our story has a beginning.
Our story has an end.
We have our family.
We have a best friend.

We may have a short life.
We may have a long span.
We go on dates.
We find a wife or a husband.

We get a job.
We have money to spend.
We have time with each other.
We have children.

We continue our lives.
We grow old.
When our lives are over...
These are the stories we told.
Life.

Those eyes I used to adore
now make me feel pain and sore.

I sometimes wish they would call
but sometimes I wish never at all.

All I can do is curl up in bed
and can't get your picture out of my head.

Everything hurts all the time
nothing but bitter pantomime.

I lay and continue to hate
a feeling of a wrecking ball against my weight
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Holy Spirit come,
let us all receive some.
Let it sprinkle and rain
and wash away hurt and pain.

God's power flows down
rushing greatly to the ground.
Flashing down on God's people,
breaking the walls of the steeple.

Overflowing through the cracks
of the wood and it never slacks.
It reaches for every heart and every nation.
Rushing in and through from God's salvation

May her mind grow
branches of burly,beckoning thoughts.
May they lengthen out
with roots migrating their pots.

Let her words speak vigorously
with crisp, colorful essence.
May she unfold fields of flowers
inhaling the strongest fluorescence.

Let her mind and her kindness
takeoff with bold, strenuous wings.
May her voice awaken the songs
the world needs to sing.

Clouds resting in the sky
over the highest mountains
and lowest valleys.

Butterflies flying smoothly
over yellow lilies
and honey suckle.

The sun glistering
over vibrant green grasses
and tall, shady trees.

Flowers have thorns.
Hearts have pain.
Life has storms
and the sky will rain.

Objects have sharp ends.
Mind has sad thoughts.
Healing takes time to mend
no matter how hard the shot.

Everything may hurt
but it can be beautiful.
We may be covered in dirt
but pure is our soul.

Life can be hard.
All paths are difficult in some way.
Some crooked, straight, or curved
through silent nights and rough days.

It's all about purpose though.
Your path leads you, guides you
to the purpose you were made for
and no matter what will get you through.

Problems don't define you.
You can stand tall
and face the battle
and every single fall.
Crystal Freda May 2018
Patience is key in this life.
Taking each step very slowly.
Making everything right.
Holding on to what could be

She lays on a canoe
whirling gently on the stream.
Her red dress shimmers
as the sun gives a great beam.

She smiles at the sky
with its radiant blue,
and porcelain clouds
and air fresh and new.

She enjoys the sounds
of the bustling, rippling waves.
Towards to a land
and the path it paves.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
her vanilla dress
lay against the grains
of the tannish sand.

her eyes match the sea,
the whites of her eyes
watch the pebbles in her hand.

the waves brush against her feet
as she runs away laughing
her smile shines so bright.

not a gray cloud in the sky
on this lovely sunny day
where the clouds are pearly white.

PEI
Brisk winds linger at your face
from the cold Canadian breeze
as you fasten your pace
with beautiful skies such as these.

White paint rubbed off this old lighthouse
as you open the door and peek in.
You notice the roof starting to douse
and the walls are growing thin.

You ladder up the dark, creaky stairs
You approach to the top
and smell the fresh PE Island air
as from each ocean's drop.

Your eyes take all of the ocean blue.
You shiver from the excitement and the cold
as your skin musters up the morning dew.
You stand and watch as the ocean waves fold.

Poetry, the words of life.
That are told to shine a light.
That show our emotions and fears.
That make us fall in tears.

Poetry, a love of words.
A love that never disturbs.
A love found in a book.
A love that makes you look.
For things deeper inside.
Words that will make you cry.

Poetry, a world of wonders.
In words that make you ponder.
In a place you would never go.
But in a book, you are known.
In poetry, you want to try.
And in those words, you want to fly
Wrote 2 years ago.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
I think I'm different,
but maybe I'm not.
A diverse poet
but that's what I thought.
I try my hardest
to write differently
so there won't be
poets like me.
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
Bundled in a blanket
with a fire next to me.
Working on a poem.
Everything is cozy.

Crackling of wood
awakens my mind.
Orange flames
slowly shined.

A fire burning
is so nice.
For a poet,
this is paradise.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
on a midnight, pomp nightfall
she stood graciously in the light
so pale and faint,
she was a beautiful sight.

she holds a butterfly
with wings so pure and small.
it flew so loosely
into the purple nightfall.

she watched them fly
so beautifully it goes.
soon comes others
and swiftly they flow.

their wings so gentle
as they embrace the night sky.
she still watches them
as they enhance so high.

on this pomp nightfall,
she watches the butterflies soar.
and just like butterflies,
her heart is so pure.

Precious moments
I cherish each one.
All the memorable
when we had fun.
Even the sad ones
you were there for me.
I couldn't be sad,
you make me happy.
I hold your hand
and you have my side.
You love me,
you are my guide.

Fresh waters flashing down
Down in fast, beating motion.
Each sprinkle, each splash to the ground
Down to the magnificent ocean.

Green, majestic hills
Ladder up to the sky.
Freeing, lively thrills
Press on through and by.

Thundering sounds attack your ears
As each wave strikes a rock
Making blasting whirs
stirring up quite a shock.

Loud crashing waves are such a beauty
Although they do not come smoothly.
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
she gazed
out of the window
wondering
what was there.
this stuffy house
bored her wild mind.
this she could not bear.
she implored to explore
adventure to find...

Puddles of water
splashes around.
Bundles of rain
falls on the ground.
Sparks of lightning
and roars of thunder
A covering umbrella
keeps us safe under.
Dark clouds
turn to a dark gray.
Sitting inside
for this rainy day.
Crystal Freda Mar 2018
Rain, rain is all it does
Pour, pour it goes outside.
Indoors has become so boring.
Under my warm blanket I hide
when water is just a pouring
which is all just a buzz.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Fluttering wings
in the celestial horizon.
Flaring over the beautiful things
below the blazing sun.

Soaring and flapping
over every blossom
and every sapling.
Never to be forgotten.

Rain of butterflies
channeling every inch of grass
and gliding the tranquil skies
exploring this world's wide mass
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
I'm scared.
I'm in a midnight tunnel
that never sees the light of day.
I am covered in fear
that never seems to go away.
Decisions haunt me.
I struggle to let go.
I hate this panic and pain,
hunger for something new.
I want sunshine instead of rain.

burgundy braids braced
the back of her brass bed.
Raving ruby ringlets
ravaged royalty on her head.

autumn's aquired art
ablazed ambers of auburn.
crimison curls caressed
as carmine chromes churn.

vivifying vistas vibrate
vibrance with verbalized twirls.
Remembering rumbles of rage
rouged in her rancid curls.

Randy the Robot
was a little robo tot.
He never went anywhere
and he did not think that was fair.

He was stuck in the lab
and he always tried to grab
a toy of some kind
just whatever he could find.

He would start to play
and play and play away.
This would bring him such joy
until his maker would say "This is not a toy!"

Randy felt that he was missing a part.
This part was a heart.
He was curious how it felt to beat
and how it fluttered ever so sweet.

He would ask his maker to make one.
He explained how it would be fun
but his maker would say a lot
that a heart is not made for a robot.

His maker began to see
that Randy was not very happy.
So he made his creation a heart
and how Randy was ready to restart.

Randy opened his robot eyes
and due to a pleasant surprise
Randy's new heart began to beat
and with joy it fluttered ever so sweet.

Pleasant smells awaken my senses
as I turn each page.
My mind is in great thought
along with the age.

All I hear is wind drafting at the trees.
and birds singing a sweet, gracious tune.
I retrieved a book from my library
because I wanted to read that afternoon.

Reading in my garden is such a delight.
I lay here and glaze at the flowers
as I unravel every page of my book.
I do this this for countless hours.
Crystal Freda Feb 2018
Life is a mess.
Everything is stress.
Getting no rest.
Just praying for the best.

I know God is doing something
and I'm waiting for what that may bring.
Tired of life's sting.
causing pain and problems to everything.

Life is so dull and full of pain.
I want sunshine instead of rain.
It is hard when hope is your middle name.
I'm tired of losing, I'm ready to gain.

No more failing, I'm ready to win.
No more of this life's has beens. .
Tired of asking why and when?
Just ready for life to begin.
Crystal Freda Sep 2018
You can cut off my hands
and I will feel less pain.
You can stab my heart
and it will feel the same.
There is no pain like
losing someone you love.
Knowing time is short
and it is never enough.
My heart is lost without you,
not a beat, not a flip,
and everyday you will be
the one I will truly miss.
Crystal Freda Mar 2019
There is more
to this world
than money
You can make
someone laugh
by just being funny.
You can
show love
when it is needed.
Care for someone
when their heart
is beaten.
Give
what needs
to be given.
Money
was not
our reason
for living...
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
All the trials she has faced,
every obstacle in her way
can never compare to the grace
God has flowered in her day.

She lived many days frowning
but now she can rejoice.
No more crying or drowning.
Just a sweet song in her voice.

She gave Him her everything
which strengthened her to grow.
She found her everlasting King
and she will never let go.
Crystal Freda Apr 2018
Red roses tickled her nose
as she walked across the plain.
The sun shines as her face glows
and is melting away her pain.

The sky was a majestic blue
which made the roses more vibrant.
The trees were shady as they grew
and shadowed her like a tent.

Her hair golden from the sun
and her dress red like the rose
She sat as nature took its run
and the rose continued to tickle her nose.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
She looked in the mirror
and couldn't help but fear
her own reflection.

If just then, what if the reflection disappeared?
We would have nothing to fear,
or would we?

If reflection was not here,
no more of a seer,
what would we believe?

But if there were no insight,
we won't know we are made just right,
there is not one imperfection.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Look in the mirror.
Don't be afraid.
If you open your eyes,
you are beautiful.
There is only one person
who is you.
Remember that
this coming year.
Crystal Freda Nov 2017
Today,
I will love my enemies.
Today,
I treat others right.

Right now,
I will tell you I love you.
Right now,
everything will be bright.

Here and now,
I will be kind.
Always and now,
I will be a light.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
The path is unknown.
Her heart thumps heavily
as she feels she's on her own
and the road is not levelly.
A curve is bound ahead
unanswered questions twister
as her head feels like lead
and her feet begin to blister.
This journey has had ups and downs.
She wants the downs to be over.
No more pain and corrupting sounds.
Tired of this rover.
Crystal Freda Nov 2017
Under
the warmth
of His embrace
I am in
my peaceful place.
Love and destiny
wrap me up smoothly
as I conquer
each circumstance
as it roughly be.
His arms protect
me as a bird's
nest.
Full of safety
and rest.

Sail away with me
away to the distant sea.
Sail away
to the tunnels of the bay.

Sail away with me
to the ocean deep.
Let the waves flow
to the islands we go.

Sail away with me
and let your hair go free.
Sail away and on
until the world is gone.

It's over...'
it echoed loud  and clear.
Her mind was racing
and her heart frozen in fear.

It only lasted a brief second as
broken shards sawed her heart in half.
Blood gushed from her emotional veins
unraveling to an unknown path.

Droplets of pain overflowed her eyes as
blood blistered and beated to her brain.
She knew then for a long time her life
and her heart would never be the same.

Blossoms bellow down.
Down
a
dusky
road.
Scarlet petals
on
the
ground.
Tiny
sprinkles
splashed
and
showed.

Across the wavy seas
I see everything.
On this boulder
I stand amazed
along with the breeze.

Skies so potent and scenic,
The trip took awhile,
but I made it
and it was worth it,
but should never be repeated.

Every rock covered in green
leads to a path
and curvy roads
that leads to castles
ever so beautiful and foreseen.
Crystal Freda May 2018
She was a beautiful girl
trying to face the world
and understand life.
Reaching now for light,
searching for the stars.
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
Splashing color all around.
Each wave 's crashing sound.
Around the dusty sand
Swirls of shells on the land.
Hurdles of colorful coral
Every tint so floral.
Loveliness on the shore.
Looking for more.
Crystal Freda Apr 2018
Her long brunette hair
soaked up the tears from her eyes.
She sits on a porch alone
as time flies.

Her heart is broken
like the wilted petals of a flower.
Every time she thinks,
her spirit decreases every hour.

Spring may be here
and the glistening sun is bright,
but her mind is dark
like the cold winter's night.

She lives just day by day
waiting for something.
Wondering what that
sun might bring.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
Why are you sad?
Look to the sky.
It's not so bad.
No need to cry.

You will make it through.
You will see them again.
Heaven will welcome you,
they will love just like then.

A smile will be on your face
when you see them again.
Forever in embrace
and it will remain.

Brush back your tears,
but it is okay to cry.
Your heart will always be near
even at this temporary goodbye.
Crystal Freda Jun 2019
Some choices have to be made
even if it's pain is so severe.
You can't go living with something
that leaves you everyday in tears.

Take a deep breath and
clear your cluttered mind.
If you relax, think a while,
you will soon feel fine.

The problems may not go away yet,
but starting the process will help.
Just take your time, breath,
and learn to love yourself.
Crystal Freda Sep 2017
Our hearts can break like glass.
We are too afraid.
Too afraid of the past.
We can dismember
into sharp glass
if the past is to remember.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
she lay in bed
at one o'clock.
eyes not a bit sleepy,
no sheep with their flock.

she wish to close her eyes
for sleep she desires.
her thoughts jumble
and her mind is wired.

at last she goes to sleep
after quite a long bit,
but this is her sleep schedule
and she can't quit.
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
She gazed out her plane window
focusing on each white, puffy cloud.
She looked over to see all the people
doing their own thing in the crowd.
She wondered if any of them
had ever flown in a plane,
they all seemed relaxed.
They all seemed the same.
This plane ride was novel to her,
she wanted to explore this great wide world.
This was her first adventure
as a newly adult girl.
She looked down at her jeans
and brushed back her brown, silky hair.
She began to really question
how long she'd been in the air.
She quietly watched below
all the large buildings so small.
She turned to everyone
and wondered if they felt this way at all?
She was excited for her destination,
she tried to contain it at heart
She was ready for a rising adventure,
a fresh, brand new start.
