We army crawl across the dirt and patches of dying grass.

Barely missing us, they passed.

Crawl to one smoldering, watching out for broken glass.

We thoroughly examine it.

The white of the missile contrasts against the dirt.

We hear their cackles.

I hear a familiar click.

I look up toward the deck.

Curiously, I watch a finger press the button of the bic.

From the corner of my eye, I see her mother's fingers flick.

Another missile heading our way.

"Watch out!" my cousin yells to make me alert.

But it was too late.

Why didn't I hear the familiar noise of it hitting the dirt?

I look down and see another cigarette burn a hole through my skirt.

I was too slow.

It was too quick.

Now my skirt is aglow.

Through her half-witted smile, smoke is blown.

I was only six,

They should have known.
Just another fab childhood memory of mine.

(A friend once told me)
That the stars in the cosmos
Must have been aligned when the two of us came newly into this world.
The astrology up in the atmosphere
On the 28th of April
Saw you coming
And three years later
On the very same day
It said, We must make her a match.
Someone to fill the in-betweens of her fingers
And the empty spaces on the inside,
To brighten up her eyes
And the shine of her smile.
They won't find each other right away
But the magnetic pull of the universe
Will bring them together
Without a doubt.
And I was crafted from stardust and a celestial glow
And beamed down to earth
Fated to wander its surface
Until you came to stand in my path
And point me in a new direction
Hand safe in hand
And heart tethered to heart.
LDR life. We have the same birthday.

Summers, golden rays
Sends out radiance,
Like capricious diamonds,
As it protrudes through the blue celestial,
And lounges upon the horizon.

Performing an appealing,
And luminous show,
Streaming into a wondrous glow,
In the mid-days calming air,
As it flows smoothly from below.

blinding light
coming from you,
sending strange
vibes,
the ones that
make me fall
for you harder,
and the ones who
will some day
lose all their light
shining on you
too much,
and will make
you blind,
not being able
to glow in the dark,
anymore,
ad i will have
to teach you
how is it to live
in the
visionless dark.

sometimes the sun shines
and others it glows,
it's hard to tell the difference
i guess nobody really knows.
we all love sunsets
and sunrises too,
but which we love more, we do not know
but i for sure know, that i do love you.

Evening Ways Apr 2014
Now as the cold paraded its barren stride
Across the unkept fields
The land glows with a subdued affection
And illuminates perceivable years

Across the expanse walks my dame
Pacing with ease, steps true and light hearted
A flowing ribbon stair igniting sacred memory
Her eyes, my passion shines to vent the unexpected

As well there should be cause for grace
Where for the moments that made us dissipate in a fog of static memory
And dissolve in to the setting sun like ash into dark waters
For no man walks this earth unscathed
And I, as being one of the many, am not partnered with exception.

I will spend the time I have been given
With you memory not on leave
And appraise ever image of your presence
Before they wither, and can no longer be perceived
Your whisper will speak life when I slip away
Only above city lights does she ever walk with me.
For she who walks the earth

Pardon me O angelic being of female specimen but white feathers like cities of gold
seem to cover your arms of intricate starry mold,
Your scarlet lips,
were they by any chance stolen from the roses of the gardens of Heaven?
& adorned with the blush of cheek of the goddess Venus;
'Cause daughter of Eve, thou art a lush reincarnation of the Gospel of Jesus.

See this young lady I speak of, she represents something larger than life,
I mean, lions run through her hair
& rainbows borrow her complexion,
The civilizations beneath her skin
light their street lamps when those of this world have grown dim;
thus her diamond soul wears a glow shy of a firefly,
It's no wonder that diamond soul sounds like an ocean of fire,
A fire like the song of a thousand golden crowns.
& the way light obeys her curves,
Gravity pays respect, stone statues hold their breath,
like voices in the snow, they remain mute
For they fear they may utter a truth that she already knows.. but here I go.

You are beautiful.
In the very sense of the word,
see how your essence robs sense of these verbs!
Who'd imagine I'd find such exhilaration
just from uttering the 3 syllables of your first name;
from writing the six letters of your second,
No, don't start counting..
Let's just..
get lost in the moment.
& maybe hope to find ourselves
somewhere in the kaleidoscopical symmetry
of an angel's wings unfolding,
Refined by the sunset sketched fires
of our passions, keeping in mind,
that our each & every action
has an impact on a chosen fraction of the Universe;
Like how your butterfly kisses displace galaxies.

But then you put a finger to my lips & tell me to just hush..& get lost in the moment.

If you’re free this evening
May I connect the freckles
Scattered across your back
With glow-in-the-dark pen
So they too can see
You are a constellation
When the moon wanes crescent
And the best bits glisten
