why did she leave?
she thought.
I thought she
wanted me,
loved me,
proud of me.

what kind of mom will I be?
this absence scarred me
could I have the same thoughts?
she wondered in fear.

is love this way?

Passionate about the Lord.
She asked of Him for more.
A passion so daunting.
More of a need
not a wanting.

She prayed every night
for her lucent light.
Shining like a vivid gloss,
thanking Him so promptly
for carrying such a heavy cross.

She testified her beauty in a pure way,
appreciating God's beauty every day.
She knows God can beautify,
She knows He is beautiful,
then so am I.
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
Every color so beautiful
like a painting to your soul.
A sweet and stunning image
shaping your heart as whole.

Colors so fresh to your eyes
absorbing the tones it breathes.
Dyes take over the green
to soft yellow and red leaves.

A time for old things to go
and embrace new things to arrive.
A beautiful image this is.
Such a time to be alive.

We sit and watch
as birds fly by.
Every eagle
and every cloud in the sky.

Breathing in
fresh flows of air.
Feeling breezes
and warmth everywhere.

Delicate flowers grow
in the uncut grass.
Bees and butterflies
slowly sailing past.

Breathless heights
over the magical view.
Having a purpose
below the sky so blue.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Misty white sprinkles
dance and twirl their way down
on the old, abandoned bridge.
The skies are faded and gray
and the ground wet and umber.
Vibrant lights brighten the dreariness

and fills warmth to the blistering cold.

Christmas enlivens the dead misery

that sometimes embarks on our world.
Crystal Freda Oct 2019
tepid tides
tickled on the tips of her toes.

azure aqueducts
abated arenose agates as it blows

rippling rapids
recessed on her rimmed  ruffle

marine meanders
mellowed her masses as it muffled.

salving sands
stimulates her senses as solitude flows...

I always got your back
no matter what.
I will kiss your bruises
and your cuts.

We will stay together
through thick and thin.
You will always be
my little, soft kitten.

You are my baby
ball of fur.
My favorite sound is
when you purr.

I love you,
my pretty kitty cat.
Nothing in this world
can change that.

A Day's View
A new day begins
with a beautiful sunrise.
Light peeks through your window
as you slowly open your eyes.
As the day marches on,
you do what is on your agenda.
As hours go by,
the sun grows slender.
You drive home
as the sun centers down.
You glaze at the beauty
as it disappears to the ground.
Soon to become a white light
to take to the sun's place.
The sky full of darkness
but with stars and space.
You crawl in bed
for it's time to snooze
You smile gladly
at your moonlight view.
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
she embraced the ground
shoveling and shoveling.
a deeper hole it grew
tunneling and tunneling...

she dug a hole for years
for what she thought was right,
but it left her confused
in a cold, shivering fright...

alone in her thoughts
she has no one to talk to,
trapped in a giant hole
not knowing what to do.

she could try to keep shoveling
until she found the light
or she could turn around
to what she left behind...

Why is poetry dying
when we still have the gift?
If we still have water
then we still have a ship.
We can sail to the places
these words take us.
We are still shaken
by the words that make us.
Why should we let poetry die
when there is so much to explore?
If only people read it
and discovered more.

You walked away, why oh why.
You walked away before her first cry.
You walked away from your could have been wife.
You walked away from your could have been life.

You walked away from your baby girl.
You will never be a part of her world.
She will try to replace you.
She will think this will help her too.

You missed her first crawl.
You missed her first fall.
Yo missed every birthday.
You are missing her life every day.

You left her with a void.
You left her with a pain she can't avoid.
You left her with an abusive man.
You left her unable to stand.

This happens every day to girls
Fathers don't want to be a part of their world.
This makes their hearts sore.
It makes girls look for more.
Wrote a year ago. Sometimes I wished people understood.

Flowers blooming
in a majestic, green grass.
Clouds are looming
in the beautiful, blue sky.

Butterflies flying
with their glistening, colored wings.
Nature is drying
from an April shower.

Trees growing
in its verdant, colored leaves.
Spring is showing
in an alluring and blessed way.
Crystal Freda May 2018
her heart grows
like branches
of a tree.
flowers so
dainty
sprouting
ever so free.
love builds
such a
strong root.
her heart
is filled
so much
and it's
growing
the most
beautiful fruit.

A blank canvas He had.
He grabbed his brush
with all the paints He wanted
and He was in no rush.

He grabbed a beige
and created a heart-shaped face.
Then a light brown
for strands around the space.

Long and hard He thought
but couldn't decide.
So He chose both blue and gray
for the ocean waves in her eyes.

A well rounded nose
and teeth pearly white.
So her smile could
make the world so bright.

In just a snap,
after God had painted.
The masterpiece was done
and I was created.
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
She laid in her bed
with a pad and a pen.
Too many thoughts in her head
rotating over and over again.

Her eyes brewed with tears
dripping down to her notebook.
Thinking about all the years
so she wrote as her hands shook.

She gaze in the window
as her heart sank down.
She wondered when did time go
and why her heart was to the ground.

She thought there must be more to life
than this pain she had been enduring..
Take away all this strife,
and have a life worth exploring.
Crystal Freda Aug 2018
This step was the hardest,
but she did what she could.
She felt she couldn't do this
as much as she should.

Every waking moment
she couldn't get it off her mind.
She curled up in her bed
just to pass time.

She now felt alone
and she had no one.
She knew though
this had to be done.

Her mind thought with her heart,
but she felt that was wrong.
She knew hurt would take time
and soon she would be strong.

Each day she did a little
to get herself back up.
She wasn't there yet,
but she was strong enough.
Crystal Freda Feb 2019
Her little toothless grin
giggled as the bubbles blew.
From weeks to months to years,
beyond my eyes she grew.

I would braid her thick curly hair
as she danced in her own way.
She would run to me
from the school bus everyday.

I would tell her my life stories
before she would go to bed.
As I said goodbye and good night
I would kiss her light tan head.

With her bear in her arms
we would do her homework together.
She said we were best friends
with glue that lasted forever.

I had this precious gift
for one time in my life.
Just a little bit of love
shined her little, bright light.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
She's awake.
She's alive.
She's thankful
another day she's survived.
Some days
are hard to dwell
but with God
all is well.

I stand alone on the rock
restless from my long walk.

A journey I've taken for awhile
with pain aching at every mile.

I have finally made it to the place,
but I am alone in this race.

I have lost so many in this journey
and sadly it hurts me.

I have only had God who never left
and He knew what was best.

Now I stand on this rock just God and me,
and maybe that's where I need to be.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Along the lake,
her feet danced
in the ripples
of the wake.
Along the waves
crashing against
her little legs.
The joy she craves.
Along the lake
she splashes
and enjoys the
memories she'll make.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
She laid her head on the altar
wrapped around her arms.
Her heart was covered in
pressing pains and thorns.

She cried and cried for hours
until the altar's wood was clean.
Her arms sweaty
with tears in between.

Her tears seeped into her soul
as He touched her heart.
She felt better
and she knew that was a start.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
I will always walk a mile
just to see you smile.
I will always enjoy your embrace
no matter the place.
No matter if the sky is gray or blue
just as long as it is with you.
You will always be my handsome man.
I will always remind you how you are grand.
I appreciate you every day
in every amazing and incredible way.
I wrote this for my boyfriend on his birthday
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
All I can do is rhyme
I look at things
and think randomly
all the time.
I go outside
and breath in
and see all of nature
and what more abides.
My mind is always rhyming
and I cannot stop.
I am a poet
always have been and will be.
Crystal Freda Nov 2017
Be yourself.
Never be someone else.
You were made to be you.
Everything you go through
is meant for a reason
why you go through every kind of season.
You should live to be you.
This should always be true.
Be true to yourself.
You shine like pastel.
Every color shimmers
and brightly glimmers
on you.
You can grow and accrue
but you will always be you
of who you are meant to be
as you live to be free.
Crystal Freda Jun 2019
I could have wallowed up a million
reasons for us to stay.
I could have given up a million
things, but it wasn't this way.

Instead my heart took a million
whips and cracked apart.
One lash of beating bruises
crinkled down to a million shards.

I could have said a million
I love you's, it wouldn't have changed.
I could give have kissed you a million
times, but my soul  still estranged.

Action could not be restored,
my brokenness has no pace.
Beaten bruises remain a million times
nothing bounces in place.
Crystal Freda Aug 2018
Every bump she felt
brought her closer to her destination.
She drew a deep breath
as she left the bus station.

She looked out the window
to the things she knew.
Everything would be different
all with a changed view.

As the bus departed
all became smaller and smaller.
The colors became bleak
and the bus walls grew taller.

She knew it was to leave
for it was her time.
These next life steps
she was ready to climb.
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
An azure sky
received a blaze of light
shining with wings so broad
soaring with great height.
So freeing and liberating
and magical flight.
Shine glowing
as snowy white
glimmering in the day
and in the night.
Overflowing with beauty
is this glorious sight.
Crystal Freda Mar 2018
Every miracle,
every storm,
peace is with you.
You are not alone.

When all is lost,
all hope is gone,
there is fluttering wings
above you like a swan.

Light shines
above their wings,
and sweet songs
beckon as they sing.

When times are tough,
they retrieve from Jesus
to remind our spirits
angels are among us.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Anything can
Be made or
Created for
Delight for
Everything that
Fascinates us.
Good things can
Hold us
In our minds and
Jumps and
Kicks in our hearts.
Love can
March us into
New
Opportunities and
Part us
Quickly away from
Roads that
Subtract us from
The path.
Unraveling a
Victorious time to the
Way that
Xylographs
Your life in a
Zap.

A stroll in the calm scenery
a swift breeze at your face
New beginnings start this season
as you stroll along in the park.

Blossoming colors spread all around
Mind and eyes capture and marvel
Every green, yellow, gold, red, and orange
all draw close to a picture reflecting on your eyes.

Crumbled leaves brushing on the ground
other leaves cling and slowly hang on branches
Leaves crunch as your polished boots prance away.
Fall's season begins your peaceful amble.
Crystal Freda Apr 2018
She laid her head against a tree.
Pink petals blossomed and fell on her head.
It tickled her nose as she smelled the scarlet
and the flowers around her bloomed and spread.

Her pale blue eyes shimmered from the sun
while her body was covered by the tree's shade.
She scooped up a rosy flower gently in her hand
and tucked it in her messy braid.

Spring had arrived with all its blossoms
and she sniffed the soft aroma of this season.
She loved the colors and all the sunshine
which was all so very pleasing.
Crystal Freda Nov 2018
A prayer is not a checklist
of things that need to be prayed for.
It's a love, a real connection
from your heart, mind, and much more.

A prayer isn't bowing on your knees
or having to close your eyes.
It's a faith, it's a hope,
and a love that never dies.

A prayer is what you make it
coming from your heart.
Just call on His name,
that is all you have to do to start.

Splashes of color

At sunrise,
our eyes meet.
At sunrise,
sand tickles our feet.

At sunrise,
I embrace your hand.
At sunrise,
our love is so grand.

At sunrise,
we lay on the beach.
At sunrise,
the sun is a shade of peach.

At sunrise,
we watch together.
At sunrise,
and onward our lives forever.

Slow currents.
Crashing waves.
Fresh air.
Misty glaze.

Winds volitant.
Splashing seas.
Crisp sky.
Salty breeze.

Soaring seagulls.
Wondrous blue.
Crystal clear sounds.
Limitless view.

Strolling on the bridge
above the lake
as the boards shake
rumbling under your feet.

Shades of autumn glow
in the midst of the nightfall
paints of trees so tall
around this lovely land.

Take in the scenery
as it glares off your eyes
bringing a pleasing surprise
each and every color.
Crystal Freda Jan 2019
she grabbed a soft stone

and eyed  the skipping it does.

she inhaled the misty, fall air

and twirled her auburn hair.

she glared up to the canary leaves

dangling thinly on their limbs.

her flats tapping to the music making

of the trees strumming and shaking.

she beckons down

at the candy corn fronds

wading in the morning stream

like an autumn's dream.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
She climbed gently over the branch
and she rolled up her jeans
and dipped her feet in the cool water
as she watched all of nature's scenes.
She was enthused by the colors
of every reddish, golden leaf
and everything so  vivid mirrored
on the wavy water beneath.
She retrieved her book
she had next to her yellow sweater.
She enjoyed each chapter
as she enjoyed the weather.
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
Leaves flee in the dusk
near a fine ending in this evening
bringing a musk
in the air in a fragrant mist.

Surpassing the land
lies radiant shades
held in the midrib or strand
fluttering and drifting in the wind.

Up high in the gentle breeze
leaves take flight and travel
Leaving their safe place in the trees
all embracing the taste nature brings.

Oranges,
Reds,
Browns,
Golds,
spreads
rounds
as
fall
unfolds.

Leaves
crumble,
change,
drop,
tumble,
range
as
from

top.

Time
for
the
cold
to
pour
free
colors
to

dreary, overcast skies
she enjoys.
winds rustling by
she takes right in.

the wet, damp branches
drip swiftly on her skin.
the tree twirls and dances
shaking all its limbs.

the green slowly fades
taking away all the life
but embraces the shades
so beautiful in their own way.
Crystal Freda Oct 2017
Bundles,
piles,
and mounds of snow
trampled on this mountain.
No living things appeared.
All there was
white,
cold,
and frozen
substance of snow.
Rumble,
roar,
and tussle
the mountain made.
Slowly then faster.
The sky
was gray and ashy
as the rumbling continued.
So the sounds became actions.
Mounds,
pounds,
and hills of snow
tumbled and plunged.
Loud, blasting sounds
grew stronger and stronger.
Slowly they began to stop
and terminate and cease.
Sounds came again as peaceful
as the quiet mountain
returned to normal.
Crystal Freda Jan 2018
Falls,
splatters.
and splashes
of blessings
and love.
Sprinkles
twinkle
from the mass
from above.
Each splash,
sprinkle, and
spray glimmers
down to us.
Our hearts
shout and rejoice
with glee from the
blessings of Jesus.

Her hand brushed the rough edges

of the tips of taupe timber wood.

Burgeoning into barren branches

billowing briskly as the stump stood.

Brunswick green buds

engraved mini mints of mixtures.

Painting pages of profound poetry

reproducing rings of pretty pictures.

Recovering from her inventive imagination,

she released her hand and rotated around.

Shamrock slips of silvery shades

glimmered on the lime lagoon and gentle ground.
Crystal Freda Apr 2018
a world beyond her eyes
full of adventure and surprise.
one swing after another swing,
nothing knowing what it may bring.

over the horizon near the sun
placing light so fair and so young.
her bare feet in the breezy midair
not a feeling of fear, not even a care.

buildings so sturdy and tall
could not touch an inch of her at all.
she looked out to her dreams and hopes
knowing God was holding the ropes.
Crystal Freda Apr 2019
tiny, troublesome fingers
touched the tips of my tears.

your blue, radiant eyes
oversee the brews of my fears.

I look to my little baby,
my precious baby girl.

I never want to see you cry because
you have no father in this world.

never want to see a droplet
surpass your eye.

never hear your father
say his last good-bye.

that he would welcome you
with warm arms.

or to never lay a hand on you
causing you harm..

may his blue, radiant eyes
be forever yours.

that this man can give
you so much more...

God made each person beautiful in their way.
Please let them be something one day.
Women, you destroy the life of someone to be.
You just took away somebody's destiny.
To pregnancy, don't think it's just a maybe.
Women, why can't you think about your baby?
Why abortion should you do?
What if your mother did that to you?
Beautiful people begin as cells.
They may not be pretty at first but oh well.
They grow to be pretty, clever, and smart.
Why can't people just have a heart?
Abortion is ******, and you should know that.
I don't care if you don't want to get fat.
Babies should be cherished and loved.
Don't you want that from God above?
