Andy Warhol
Cynthia Jean Jan 2022
This is a quotation by Andy  Warhol  which I  read today  and just wanted to share.
Don't think about making art,  just get it done.  Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad,  whether they love it or hate it.
While they are deciding,
make even more art.

May God bless and guide us all in the New Year

Snow

so lovely

whispers softly

wondrously

silently

yet it crunches beneath your feet!

profoundly beautiful

its chorus giving perfect glory

to its Maker...

Can you hear it?

The rising and the turning
Cynthia Jean Apr 2020
Time to turn to God.

We must take a stand.

Be silent no more!

The silent are complicit,  weak,  and  cowardly.

Be brave, bold and courageous.

God has not given us a spirit of fear,  but power,  love,  and a sound mind.

Fear is demonic.

The "powers that be" (not Powers...have ears to hear) are suffocating this nation with a spirit of fear ( think about it...the healthy are under house arrest... and voluntarily ...
HOW CRAZY IS THAT!

We are under the ******* of the lies of the box and the tellers of tales!

My brothers and sisters

I plead with you now

We all need to

WAKE  UP

SPEAK  UP

RISE UP

BEFORE  IT  IS TOO  LATE

(And no more spewing of  hatred !!... we have become a nation of haters...and where does that come from?)

NOW IS  THE TIME.

I CAN NO LONGER  STAY  SILENT.

HOW  ABOUT  YOU???

The Believers
Cynthia Jean Feb 2020
Don't believe everything
you hear.
People are being
brainwashed
by the tellers
of tales.
History teaches us
"if a lie is repeated
often enough,
people will believe it."
Let us have
ears to hear,
and eyes that see.
May our ears  and eyes
be open
to the truth.
Not just the tellers
words,
but provable facts.
We must each make an honest
search
for the truth.
Don't
let someone else
do your
thinking
for
you.
May we all
wake
up.

All the difference
Cynthia Jean Feb 2018
A voice
speaks of roads walked down
paths trodden
in weariness and pain

On these roads
you will meet
comforters and survivors

souls
not judging, but understanding

compassionate
refusing to be overcome
by bitterness

rather
choosing love
choosing to forgive

that is the road
less traveled

the path to healing

and yes
it has made all the difference!

Cynthia Jean

Easy to do?  No, far from it. Does it excuse what has happened?  No.  Forgiveness frees you to move on, and then lets God do His part.

After a visit to my Grandmother's house....after 37 years. Especially seeing her sun parlor again.;I have a previous poem written called " Grandma's Sun Parlor". Such a joyous and healing visit! Very overwhelmingly profound for me.  It was my one place I went to for unconditional love. I cried tears of joy.  The love was still there.
