Closer
than a sister
or a brother

Knowing
understanding
empathizing

A certainty
you can count on them
no matter what
you are going through

you are loved
and valued
and would be missed

and you are there for them as well

they cry
and dry
your tears

they feel your pain

steadfast

they are a gift
from God.

All the difference
Cynthia Jean Feb 2018
A voice
speaks of roads walked down
paths trodden
in weariness and pain

On these roads
you will meet
comforters and survivors

souls
not judging, but understanding

compassionate
refusing to be overcome
by bitterness

rather
choosing love
choosing to forgive

that is the road
less traveled

the path to healing

and yes
it has made all the difference!

Easy to do?  No, far from it. Does it excuse what has happened?  No.  Forgiveness frees you to move on, and then lets God do His part.

joyful

warm sweet air

late bloomers arriving
others on the bye

bees and butterflies

a quiet
stillness

nature smiles

all sweetness

A sip of stillness
listening
for
God moments...

relax in the warmth
of the "felt"
love of Christ.

He widens my vision
to distinguish
real importance

transfusing me
with His Power
in my quest
for that Pearl
oh, yes,
the Pearl of greatest price.

Revitalize my love
for God
renew my thirst for His Word
empower my prayers
with wordless adoration..........

Overwhelmed
the inhibition over
the desert lay behind
and off I am
into the land of longing.....

I do not
cannot
speak
no words are necessary
too paltry would they be.

The dust
that becomes the diamonds
sprinkles
and comes forth.

Like the water lily
I am basking in the sun
of His Presence.

I soak up His Love
and
His Tenderness.

In this ecstasy
words
become
unnecessary.

Pain
God's megaphone
through which He speaks
to a deaf world.
(Which has shut Him out.)

To give joyous hospitality
we need silence

a simple, prayerful silence
belongs
to everybody

in our pousitinia*
we desire
to hear from our God
that still small Voice
the fulfilling
...........

I will lead her
into the desert
and tenderly speak
to her

at a loss
the Spirit intercedes for us
with sighs
too deep
for words *

inexpressible longings
God alone
understands.

only to become

Words of Life
flowing to me

Words
which can only come from
The Way
The Truth
The Life

This Voice
gives me
Words of Hope

His Voice
His Words
become
His Life
in me
....

His Voice
....flows through me....

Not of myself

His Voice
becomes mine
incrementally

slowly
I am transformed

nothing
is by my power
or might
only by His Spirit
in me
......

by His Spirit
day by day
.....I am transformed.....
