"intertwine" poems
The first time I saw you it was in math class. I didn't notice anything about you at first I just memorized the back of how your head was. After all, I had an hour to **** The second time I saw you were in English class. You sat next to me but not by choice. But I was happy about it. It took me about four to five weeks to talk to you, and I wasn't even the one to speak first. You introduced yourself and then we worked together on an assignment. It's been two weeks and I haven't said another word and I probably won't out of random. My anxiety swallows me whole and I'm sorry I can't even say hello. But I have had time to notice you. And let me just say I'm in love with your taste in music I'm in love with the way you hold your books thinking that if you change the sound of your voice when the diagonal changes, or if you struggle reading words you've never seen before and sit there for a few seconds trying to piece together what they mean. I love how you can play the mandolin, you should show me sometime. As I think about these things I also pick up how you would never even think of me. I mean really, you probably want some girl that's outgoing and can strum a guitar solo at midnight with you. You probably want someone with long hair you can intertwine your fingers in, or someone you can spend an afternoon together after church with. I can't move mountains and I can't even speak without looking like a fool, but even if nothing will ever happen It would be just as quite exciting being friends with you. We could trade books and make each other mixtapes. It hasn't even been a month yet and I'm already writing mediocre poetry about you. I'm sorry about that by the way. I'm not asking for a relationship but a friendship with someone like you would feel just the same.

It’s the name of the game. We're slaves to our secret place. Even if we discreetly meet, since we hate being apart. Safe and sound with you baby, all I need is your sweet heart. Our secrets intertwine, We play and tease and test. The tension simmers up inside. We form an explosion of emotions, as powerful as the windiest storm; but we only see each others eyes, lying naked on the floor. And when I said “No I love you more” you melt and slam the door. Gently kiss my hair, and nibble on my neck. Caress me everywhere, till I softly moan in your mouth; and it drives you wild, so you quickly go down. Kiss my legs, then my thighs. Now my whole body shakes, you **** on my every curve. I pant louder and louder, then scream “please don’t stop”; but you want me so bad. Oh and you are rock hard, so you slip right inside; and we make passionate love in the dark

Can I drown in the sweet sorrow of your passion? Bask in the drips of your essence and savor your liquid ecstasy. Stare in awe at the contours of your body as it bends to my very will. Making you feel as real as this fantasy world we have thrusted ourselves into. Your soft whimpers caresses my ears as our spirits are driven by their own Heaven and Hell. The rapid movements of your ribcage soothes my ravenous soul as our bodies intertwine with each other. The aroma of our mixture captivates my subconscience as we're climbing towards your highest peak. Your petite thighs clenching onto my physique build as the wave of nirvana overpowers your psyche. She slowly drifts away from our fantasy world, leaving me here to dwell on her forsaken sorrow. My body yearns to hear your voice in the endless darkness as it awaits for your return. Can I cross the threshold into your garden of Eden one last time?

our lips will never meet nor our fingers intertwine and so bless my dreams for indulging what's not mine

then I will sleep forever
Loving someone else is like loving a whole new universe. Your body is a universe itself. Beyond that, your body has other universes. Your cells, your bones, your veins. Everything has a universe itself. It would be life's greatest gifts to intertwine your universe with mine.

Universe
I want something that I cannot have. I cannot have it because I don't truly know what it is. I've seen it polished and propped as if it were on display and I've heard the stories of how much time and effort it took to make it look as such. But I want it. I want love. I want the idea of it at least. I want the fights brought about by events simpler and less important than the time we wasted to have them. I want to be pained by the sight of her pain and know that the feeling of knives piercing my chest when I see her cry is there because I would literally drive them there myself, if only to prevent her tears. I want our laughs to intertwine over the smallest things and our conversations to stretch our minds over the biggest. I want to see you sleep at night and I'll smile because I know that you're finally at peace. And I want you to smile when you wake up because you know that I'm fighting to make your reality better than your dreams. I want love. I want romantic love, I want crazy love. I want passion. I want to pick you up in my arms and in that brief present get lost in your presence. I want to be in you when I am in you and have you wish that I would stay forever. I want to be in your heart and mind, and I want our love to be torturous and blind. I just want love. I want the idea of it at least.

Maybe It Is Just An Idea
Five separate entities Whose lives seem to intertwine with stunning similarities A brown thin thorn As sharp as a knife That hurt everything its comes into contact with But seems to beg for forgiveness from its victims A rose with petals so bright Shining their color into the world That screams for attention Yet seems to hide from plain sight A long thin stem As weak as a piece of paper That somehow holds up the great rose But seems to strengthen with each wind blow A bright green fuzzy leaf Feeble and soft That cries for attention from the rose Yet seems to fade into the background A single flower root Dark Brown and thin as a piece of string That reaches into the earth grasping for a stronghold Yet seems to fail in comparison to the large, strong roots A yellow and black bumblebee buzzing along Happy-go-lucky and unaware of the looming storm That longs to pollenate the rose Yet seems to die more with each passing moment Five separate entities Whose lives seem to intertwine with stunning similarities Yet grave differences

The Thorn, Rose, Stem, Leaf, Root, and the Bumblebee
I know at night Searching for your warmth, You're always in arms reach, but it feels so far. You're an eternity away, yet under the same sheet. I simply roll closer, Arms searching for skin. Though it is dark, Your silhouette is clear. Briefly I hesitate, Am I a comfort to you, As you have become to me? My arms close the gap. Your skin it too warm, My hands are too cold. You sigh softly, content. Our legs instinctively intertwine. Then your hand closes around mine. When did this become familiar? Before I can really think, I'm comforted by your touch. Your breathing, so steady, Matched by your heartbeat. Then, without my consent, Without my conscious present, I begin dreaming.

Waking in the Night
With shades of gray our lives Intertwine We collide always My ways were changed but it doesn’t come so nicely Relax, Relapse, Relax It’s back to the floor I go I can hear reverberations and feel the Syncopation of our hearts as one A single touch and my tension comes undone With eyes to calm storms and a smile to awaken waves We wait and watch and feel and want And need and heed this warning; I might love you too much

Rebirth
Looking through my soul, Not my eyes. Vibration draws, Patterns to your light. Your energy collides, It speaks to mine. Beautiful whispers, Colours intertwine.

Him
i’ve been thinking a lot about your hand in mine the way that our fingers and palms intertwine but i think about death about loss, about worth i admit that i fear to return to the earth where our bodies dissolve into roots of a tree and will grow into trunk then limb, then leaf but i've heard from a bird that death will reverse and your heart will beat hard like it did at your birth so hold on for dear life with your hand in mine if death makes us let go it is only for time © Mike Mortensen

i've been thinking...
*So young and trite is the day Born from this new light Creatures of the dark and mist curl and wither Only to return by midlight The rose afar rises and stretches Bloodshed velvet bleeds its regal glow Smooth tips and enticing fragrance Dark greens, stiff and sharp as spines Beads of water glisten and shimmer A blood’s true jewel Thy shadows came in thy’s slithery way Enveloping Devil’s Beauty Charcoal webs and silver-black imprints Spiral and intertwine, death and blood a dangerous omen Thy Beauty’s velvet lips decay A cancer slow moving and fast changing Taking over thy body in one gulp Last, final tips of red appear before swallow Accenting and tracing its last magnificent life Midlight turns to midnight Bloodlines disappear As the wind wails through the dead A song, chilling, unnerving to us all*

Midlight
library books; the musty smell floods me with thoughts of its past readers did a girl like me run her finger across this line as i have? will our lines like vines ever intertwine? rainy nights; while the tip-tap and dribble of droplets hit my windowsill, i imagine gusts of wind dancing with one another: carless and free and without destination light touches; the accidental bump of elbows, the awkward entanglement of fumbling phalanges, a gentle squeeze of the hand, a comforting gesture that says “i am here.” now reverie this: you and i, the spines of our books broken, our shoulders barely brushing, the sound of soft and subtle raindrops all things i adore in one simple and seemingly endless moment books, rain, touches, and you

things i adore
Life through bloodshot eyes where lovers and needles intertwine into railway veins on tile floors where hands curl around the glass swan necks of everlasting empty bottles, victims of a red wine lullaby

Red Wine Lullaby
the simple touch of your fingertips on mine the way we used to walk just a bit closer than friends do causing our hands to bump together as if our bodies were just begging us to intertwine our fingers together no one passing by would be able to mistake us as “just friends”

hold my hand
No Matter how mad I am at you. When your hand reaches out for mine, I know I'll let my finger intertwine with yours. Hell, I'll squeeze your hand tighter.

It's Love, I know because it Hurts.
All your life, you've wished for wings While I've learned the notes the ocean sings. To stroke the sky where it hugs the shore, To ask the waves if we've met before. You took your first flight as I was learning to float, You build yourself a catapult, I dug myself a moat. Both our hearts are equally blue, And neither one has learned to hide. Like lovers' eyes, you're lost inside- Intoxicating, infinite, new. We'll gallop together on common ground, Sea horses with eagles true love have found. No wind nowhere, dear, ever behaves, The sky weeps tears and the sea laughs waves. Where sky meets sea at the end of the world, Where they kiss and intertwine to the beat of their song, With the sun as a lone fiery partition, That's where we belong.

Where Sky Meets Sea
pressed against a gentle river of bedsheets falling loose from the mattress with every wave to finally intertwine in the rythym of our heartbeats i cannot help being depraved, as each motion makes me crave "adore me, adore me, all that much, and more" i plead, i cry, and his hands overwhelm mine "a pretty little thing, obedient and kind, perfect for a ***** as long as he gives me attention, all will be fine all he's ever shown is the blushing red of kisses and bites and all he's ever known is a cruel kind of rational but even with all the flowers he gives, he never seems to fight and it all seems to decay into something entirely foul im done with the suffocating scent of amaryllis that i let fill my arteries the sweet sticky pollen that tightens my throat so i can no longer breathe

**** the flowers
Red is the color of passion, but the passion of love A firey burning sensation, heating and fueling lover's desire Orange is the color of energy, blinding, and fast Zipping through space and recharging the multiverse Yellow is the color of friendship, sunshine and bright Lifting frowns and bringing joy to all Green is the color of life, growth, expansion Of Gaia and the vibrant vivacity of Mother Earth Blue is the color of sadness and melancholy and despair Of the salty water of both tear and sea Indigo is the color of calm and surging stillness, contemplation And intellect, the color of knowledge Violet is the color of passion also, the passion of music and art Powerful and strong, mellowed and smooth And octamarine is the color of magic, the eighth color of the rainbow, falling off the edge of the world into space White and black, not contained within a rainbow, but both contain the rainbow themselves, they intertwine, yin and yang White signifying good, pureness, gaiety, life Black symbolising evil, taint, gloominess, death

# ***As passion surrounds me in the dark Hearts ignited into a spark. Tongues mate, a ritual dance Lost in a bliss without a chance The gentle caress upon my face Tingling sensations grow with the trace In a frenzy of kisses long denied Hungered passion can no longer hide. Within this depth we are deeply drawn As sensual desires begin to spawn Night passion is lost in endless time As I become drunk on your sensual wine. Tender kisses placed upon my skin No fighting desires that I can't win My soul and heart fly as you caress Slowly, slowly as we undress Heat deepens into our senses Passion tearing ... into our defenses Your kissing lips move upon my leg Sending silent urges ... as I beg Longing boils and starts to crest As we glide into our ****** quest. While we lay our bodies intertwine Intoxicating me ... your sensual wine. Trembles quake, ecstasy takes control Whimpers escape my lips, as you caress my soul. Desire drips, sweat runs down your back Drawn into passion as our souls attack Slowing from our quicken pace Gentle kisses rain upon my face A blissful aftermath, I’m lost in time From being drunk on our sensual wine.*** #

Drunk
With every set, my anxious heart beats with silver Each of the beats, counting away the reign of the sun Before finally taking my shift as guardian of the night sky In my entirety, pulses of incandescent blood does run As the sun leaves, I rise and and take my rightful place I'd find my usual nook on my bed of black Surrounded by familiar friends scattered all over A million jewels spilling out of heaven's sack I'd silently watch the earth, reaching with gentle translucent fingers Silver searchlights scour the lands, I harvest all in view But my beams were never meant for others Do believe that... I've saved them only for you Amongst the sea of hopefuls, I'd always find yours Looking up with my reflection branded into those eyes Let us merge our dreams of mercury and red Rest in the cradle of my light, as I soothe all your cries Dear Moongazer, it's been a few nights now Bound by my predestined orbit, I can't help but turn away Believe that I am resisting with all that I have in me Unseen defiance in this futile fight so that longer I'd stay Several more had passed... I feel the promise of fate encroaching The crushing weight of universe's anvil bearing down Tearing a little at a time, leaving me lesser than whole Now I'm half draped in darkness' gown As the nights go by, I've long been eaten I peer from my side as I float a slim silver crescent The time has arrived, my love, I shall leave you in the company of the stars They will keep you safe even if they seem indifferent Fully turned away, I now see only fresh new hearts They all sing the same but none like you Still I glow to rekindle their hopes and dreams But what I long is for this tour to be through After what seemed like an eternity, I'm coming back round Looking for your beacon as I shine bright and clear Let our entities intertwine as the moon and her gazer *I am your lunar love...                                     and I am here...* .

Ride
We are our favorite trees, you and I You, pale and painted with marks and full of life Me, twisted and lonely but coming to life next to you. Perhaps our branches could grow and eventually intertwine but if they do not stretch quite far enough we could build a bridge or sprout wings and fly to each other. We are birds of a feather, you and I Chattering noisily and endlessly And I yearn for the day that together we soar away.
