"chocolates" poems
The only roses I ever bought were chocolates for my Nan I've noone there to give flowers to I'm a solitary man At least I'd have a little fun as chocolate is my sin and when me and Nan had eaten them I got to keep the tin

Roses
Dear Future Wife, I know that it wasn’t easy going through the tides of life. It will never be easy. You might find yourself looking for someone who would fulfil the emptiness that you would feel inside. It is my strongest hope that you won’t entertain anyone who would try to take your heart. I would like you to focus on your studies at this point. I know that studying could sometimes be boring or somewhat hard, but I trust you with this one. You can do it. I’m writing this letter for a purpose. I would like to tell you some things before I marry you or before you become my girlfriend or even before I meet you. I would like to start this message by thanking you in advance. Thank you for choosing me out of the billions of men who are better and more handsome than me. I know that I never deserved somebody like you, and it’s kind of unfair for me because when we would be together, I know that we would look like beauty and the beast. You’d be beauty and I’d be beast. Thank you for the patience that you will have with me for the next 10 to 70 years. I appreciate how you would make me smile and laugh and even cry at times. It wouldn’t be hard to be with me, because I beat a girl in terms of emotions. Thank you for being faithful with me. I just want you to know that I would not look for anyone else but you. You’re the one I am praying for every night before I go to sleep and every morning before you get up from bed. It may not be my season yet to be in love. I promise you that I will wait. I will not rush anything with you. Forgive me if I wouldn’t give you flowers and chocolates for valentines while we are still students. I promise you that I will give you something more than that at the right time. I would reserve my hands for you, you and my mother will be the only women who would be able to grasp my very hands while walking. I would reserve myself for you. There would be lots of temptations, but beloved, I promise you that the only one who would control our relationship is God. It would not be easy being with me. It will never be. But I thank you for choosing me. Forgive me if I can’t be as handsome as the celebrities you watch in movies. I may not be handsome, but I promise to love you with all I am until my final breath. I’m Excited I’m excited to be your boyfriend and experience butterflies in my stomach whenever I’m with you. I’m excited to give you gifts every occasion. I’m excited to text you the words “I love you” every morning. I’m excited to see you walking on the altar. I’m excited to hear the words “You may kiss the bride” I’m excited to be your husband. I’m excited to forestall you in waking up just to cook for you. I’m excited to have dogs (we’ll name them Bacon and Goya) I’m excited to start a family with you. I’m excited to roam the world with you. But while our story is not yet clashing to each other in His book, my excitement would not stop me from waiting. I will wait for you. I promise. I love you. A Letter to my Future Wife

Fifty years later their love has not blemished it's only grown stronger it will not deplenish. They still like to kiss at those midnight hours, he still buys her chocolates and beautiful flowers. Their love story continues to write out more pages, as their love persists throughout the ages.

Fifty years later
Meeting you was so enchanting, it's like I'm finally done with waiting. There was something about my feelings, it's like I'm a butterfly with beautiful wings. I love the way you talk to me, it's like I'm getting chocolates for free. I knew that you are the best, it's like I'm receiving A+ from a test. Loving you will always be a pleasure, it's like a gold, you're my treasure. You are the reason for this poem, it's like the sound of guitar, solemn. To be loved by you is magical, it's like I'm in a broadway musical. Cause with you everything feels so right, it's like the sun bright, you're my everyday light.

It's like..
Some say life is like a box of chocolates. I say life is like a PUZZLE You and I Are the pieces If one piece is missing the picture is incomplete Making things(relationships, disappointments, let downs, set backs, loss) a little harder to solve who would think a piece so small could make such a difference Or a IMPACT I SHOULD SAY we need you it is time to get into your position To figure out what part you are or where you belong GET THERE because you matter you are a piece to the puzzle. NOW PLAY YOUR PART

Pieces to the puzzle
I dream of your lips pressed against mine. With your hands exploring my body while you press me up against a wall. I imagine you leaving me with hickeys, scratches and bite marks.                                                                  I think of cloths scattered on the floor and of you pressing me to you so there is no space between us. I don't want flowers, chocolates and love.                                                                  I want lip biting, messy sheets and lust.

Lust
i miss you so much it hurts my whole body. do you remember when we talked about going to seattle? you said you liked the rain and the fact that no one there would know you, i just wanted to be wherever you were. i was never afraid of the dark when you talked about yours. i still don't have words for what i felt when you told me the only other number you had saved in your phone apart from your mother's was mine. i keep telling myself you're not allowed to just exit and re-enter my life as you please, but i leave the door unlocked, so what does that make me? the last "i love you" from the last time we spoke, is still stuck to the roof of my mouth. other lovers have tried to pry it out of me, but the memory of you is like lockjaw. i miss you so much it hurts my whole body. do you remember the lizard you caught last summer? you let me name him forrest. if life is a box of chocolates, there are pieces missing, and whatever is left has gone stale. i can't smoke cigarettes in my backyard anymore without wondering where you are or if you're smoking too. i hope you're not drinking, i know you hate what it does to you. your secrets are still tucked between my ribs, i will hold them safe and repeat them back to you if you ever lose your way home. i miss you so much it hurts my whole body. do you remember when you told me about the person you were afraid of becoming, i said i wasn't scared, and i told you i was proud of you? i'm still proud of you. i hope you're in school or at least keeping busy. i hope you still make yourself laugh. i miss you so much it hurts my whole body. do you remember what movie we were watching the night you got arrested? i still can't finish it. i am holding the place. can we pick up where we left off? can we stand up and wipe the dust off? i never got to tell you why i only write in pen, or why i can't sleep with socks on, or about the day i caught god with his hands in a public fountain fishing for change. i'm not mad at you for disappearing, but i'm lonely. the only reason i haven't called is because i'm afraid of being sent straight to voicemail, but if i ever find myself in indiana again, you'll be the first to know. - m.f.

Dear Friends, I had composed this poem in 2008 after reading an article by a Lady Doctor who was a Biologist, and had initially posted it on 'Poemhunter.com'. Hope you will like it! Thanks, - Raj PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY OF LOVE ! Love’s physics and chemistry, has forever remained a mystery! There are no permanent equations to resolve, Love's unseen wave like force! It travels through three dimensional space, At frequencies higher than electromagnetic waves! It remains unhindered by barriers of cast, creed, or clime, Giving two beating hearts a feel of the divine! It generates a magnetic force field, making two hearts in unison beat! Yet Biologists claim that a chemical called (PEA) Phenylethylamine, - Triggers loves molecules in the human mind! Chocolates are rich in this PEA content they say, And is a perfect gift on the Valentine’s Day! The chemical Dopamine makes the lovers to glow and feel fine, When they live on love and fresh air and may even forget to dine! While Norepinephrine, which stimulates our adrenaline production, Makes the lovers world go round in a joyous motion! But Oxytoxin that 'cuddling chemical',  requires constant contact for its effects to prevail! Cupid’s arrows may be dipped in its pail, Before those arrows on lovers begin to hail! Creating unbearable attraction leading to infatuation, Making two hearts beat as one with love’s magic potion! But such feelings remain for a limited duration, Varying with people with different emotions! In a 'mercurial type' loves ecstasy gets mixed, - And they frequently require a PEA fix! But those who stick to a single mate, Are said to be rich in Vasopressin content! And finally when infatuation gradually subsides, Chemicals triggered by Endorphine slowly overtakes, When calmness and stability with loving bond prevails! This Endorphine is reputed to be rather addictive, And firmly binds those forces released by PEA, - which are rather seductive! (All Copyrights with Raj Nandy of New Delhi)

Blankets Movies Hot chocolates My day was so chill until I got home and turned on the news Death, death, politics, sports, death. It made me realise how lucky I really am To live in a safe home, with friends, familys, food and no war For that I'm grateful.

Grateful
**he promised her things that only God could give yet with all of her whole, she believed: because love was their (arcane) goal** to them love was the roses, chocolates and the ever so cute 'goodnight' texts. it was the tiny 'XO's at the end of every love letter and the irresistible kisses on a bad day. it was them hiding under the sheets, ardently sharing every secret ever known to the world because the world that they knew was in their robust palms. little did they know that love was also the screams on a terrible day, the tears of a tortuous heartbreak and the piercing 'goodbye's after repeated arguments. it was the shredding of past love letters, the tearing of photographs and the burning of every remembered moment that was reminiscently shared in the creases of their hands (or their clenched fists). soon, the little lovebirds turned into fiery ravens because love was inexorable -- it was the wings that made them fly (in which direction it did not matter).  the "lovers" chose to fly anyway because ultimately, love reminded them of the misplaced souls that they possessed. (( though love only taught them of the ubiquity of hatred within them ))

the lovebirds
I want a beautiful ring from you. With rare stones and diamond encrusted too. Are flowers too much to ask? Or maybe just chocolates, 'cos I might be moving too fast.

Why do you do this? Your Army of Nothings Who lay in the sun and are all but sweet who swelter and sweat in that fresh cut grass mowed by a man you can't hope to know. And you, you there, with the grin Who's side are you on anyway? What made you the prince of the Army of Nothings; The leader, the first in command. You spout and you spit that ******** and bare your teeth at me like you're the bomb dot com You're such a disgrace. parading around with your head up your *** "So what's new?" Oh, shut up, You can't even fill out your pants. Why should I care for you, why should I feel? How will I ever come home? Where welcoming words and magical treasure, and stories that never come true but are good. Where futures of light once reigned so supreme I swore they would never run dry. I thought you'd missed out, you know, then and there, of the life that we talked of in dreams. No flowers and chocolates, no diamond rings, just love. Made of stuff so much deeper and denser and finer and lovely, and warm, and alive... But it's over, and done. and I can't have it back. So I go on avoiding the Army of Nothings as they come marching in marching in one two, at the ready I feel deep in my bones that breaking and tearing Help me, archangel! Save me! You promised! You said you would always be there in that carved-out big apple our home, once upon when we laughed and were happy and good. But goodness runs out. You made that as clear as a crystal that needs to be smashed. And I did that, remember? I left it all broken and you were so proud So proud I had chosen the right over wrong. yet you overlook all the splinters of glass all there all here all lurking in me. I don't want to cry or beg or to fight But I loved you in ways that she found unacceptable? So silly, so stupid, so big that it keeps you away *Not that I care very much For your army of nothings or things that remind me of memories gone with the wind* But I do.

They say love comes unexpectedly But they never told me how it leaves Suddenly, painfully, helplessly And this is just another poem about you But unlike the other ones from before It's the last of it all, with no more See I already felt it coming Long before it all fell apart Before it shattered my living heart Usually in books, they talk about heartbreaks Emotional stress, vulnerability, and crying But they never mentioned physical heart aches The throbbing, and the sobbing And what feels like a bullet clashing Every millisecond, pounding, literally breaking And it's something chocolates can't fix And obviously, neither will the chick-flicks Something not even sleep could do the trick I've realized we grew apart Became distant, not just because of the miles Already separating us apart And I know I've pushed you away Leaving you in dismay Unsure of tomorrow, scared of yesterday But I didn't know you knew Knowledged of the game I've put you through Unaware that you could hurt me too Now all's been said and done I've lost the better part of me, my number one My lover, my bestfriend, all gone Unlike other scenarios, I choose to act differently I aim to take it well, and not selflessly I won't let my vulnerability get to me And now I know better Right now pathetically missing you Wouldn't do And someday, hopefully We'll meet again, in a parallel universe Within each other's existence, unknowingly Maybe then, in another life, I could love you But for now thank you for the pain and tragedy I needed it for my poetry. -djs

Chocolate
Oh yes! I had plans to woo you with roses and chocolates and other mushy make-up that might just rev up your fireworks Yet I knew deep inside it wouldn't work so well. So jugular it was condoms and plastic roses knotted in shoelaces painted and welded on a metal frame worded: I will take you to take me: Now! But you laughed and blew the condoms into balloons and spray painted the roses in silver and I used the shoelaces to hang my head in creative shame! Yet when we met on the deck of union for the first time the sparks lit up the nightsky and we slept curled up around each other like question marks Thats how we bought tickets to forever Crazy? I waited-you came! Author Notes Most enjoyable poem today. © Marshall Gass. All rights reserved, 2 months ago

a piece of art you are in your worn out sleeves   and heart shaped eyes laid out in a bed of cherries and a field of tulips to share with me your ocean view windows that streak the blue sea and your sheer white pearls that melt onto me like chocolate fondue warm and sweet; you are the taste, the mouthful of words that sit on my tongue get along with your truffle kisses and your red wine lips begging for the chateau to soak in the void and with a mind shining thought you traced my back with the stem of a flower that went on and on for the next half hour

Box of Chocolates
(co-written by Sharon Robinson) Everybody knows that the dice are loaded Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed Everybody knows that the war is over Everybody knows the good guys lost Everybody knows the fight was fixed The poor stay poor, the rich get rich That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows that the boat is leaking Everybody knows the captain lied Everybody got this broken feeling Like their father or their dog just died Everybody talking to their pockets Everybody wants a box of chocolates And a long stem rose Everybody knows Everybody knows that you love me baby Everybody knows that you really do Everybody knows that you've been faithful Ah give or take a night or two Everybody knows you've been discreet But there were so many people you just had to meet Without your clothes And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows And everybody knows that it's now or never Everybody knows that it's me or you And everybody knows that you live forever Ah when you've done a line or two Everybody knows the deal is rotten Old Black Joe's still pickin' cotton For your ribbons and bows And everybody knows And everybody knows that the Plague is coming Everybody knows that it's moving fast Everybody knows that the naked man and woman Are just a shining artifact of the past Everybody knows the scene is dead But there's gonna be a meter on your bed That will disclose What everybody knows And everybody knows that you're in trouble Everybody knows what you've been through From the ****** cross on top of Calvary To the beach of Malibu Everybody knows it's coming apart Take one last look at this Sacred Heart Before it blows And everybody knows Everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Oh everybody knows, everybody knows That's how it goes Everybody knows Everybody knows

You, with your supple and brown leather I, with my gaze fixed on my father’s pocket You, peeking out from its corner like a Child playing hide and seek in a desolate ally I, like the kidnapper, keeping an eye on your Fragile movements, waiting for you to stumble Into a dark corner and into my sinister embrace So that I could get my ransom inside you, the Little green strips of paper you contained Toys, chocolates and kites my father wouldn’t get me. You, with your expensive sheen, attracting me To yourself like a gold ring attracting an eagle Only to disappear as soon as my father left For work and you, containing an enigmatic exchange For little candies the definition of bliss to six year old me. I, with my naïve mind thinking why I would get less Candies and goodies when you would be frail And devoid of those thin green leaves. You, in the possession of my elder brother now I, eight year old me, wondering if your gauntness Made my father a dear departed. You, I didn’t unravel the enigma of your long Green leaves until I was thirteen and you Resided in the back pocket of the Khaki trousers My brother used to wear, Now Tattered just like your old unkempt skin. Dear Old Wallet, my dead father’s wallet I liked you better when you were fat and fit, Supple and shiny, brimming with coins and green leaves. And when I  was unaware, little and innocent thinking You were a miracle for I only wanted toys back then only to realize I need a lot more For I am now cold,  fatherless and bankrupt But you are empty and thin, just like my Dying mother.

Today is the saddest day of my life. Sad because, I have lost my sense of smell. Her scent will no longer tease my nose toward her, I will never smell perfume, sweat, or *** flowering aromatic recall - the strongest recall of memory is lost. Soon, like puddles in the hot sun, she will begin to dissipate. Today is the saddest day of my life. Sad because, I have forgotten how to see. The sweet beautiful curves in her face, her smile, her brilliant body, her great bright eyes, if only I had made the time to memorize it. Today is the saddest day of my life. Sad because, my tongue has gone dumb. Chocolates and ash, all tastes the same. I no longer want to eat, it all tastes of grey. Never again will taste her lips or her tears. I will never say, I love you again. Today is the saddest day of my life. Sad because, my ears can no longer find sound. I will never be comforted by her sweet calls or pet names. Music will no longer touch my heart. No one will ever yell at me or sing to me. I will never hear, "I love you" again. Today is the saddest day of my life. Sad because, today, I have lost my ability to feel. I will never be hugged close and snuggled. She will never kiss me under mistletoe or on new years, or ever at all. I will never make love again, feel her silky skin against mine, or an ******** release. Fire cannot warm my soul anymore. And nothing will cool the burning in my head. I am blind, deaf, and dumb.  I hear nothing.  I feel nothing.  I am numb.

What does virtual have over real a virtual world can't give you realism you can't run against the wind on a hot summers day or go to the beach and play you can't dig a giant hole and then get left upset because it's time to leave you can't feel the snow hit your face, or the feeling of excitement when school is closed you will never learn from the past if every time you fail you can reload you'll never get that feeling when you first fall in love you can't feel pleasure from eating a box of chocolates or feel guilty for breaking your promise In a virtual world you'll never get to feel surprise or upset when someone breaks your heart you'll never truly understand what it means to be a live In a world where real is real and virtual is virtual I would choose the real world with all its good and all its bad

Real
I grew up watching romance anime, I loved them even though most were cliché, Shy girl meets popular guy, Two people love each other but they're too shy, I remember waiting all week to see if she gives him her homemade chocolates on Valentines Day, Squeling when they finally say, I love you Then they kiss under the fireworks later, They barely show anything beyond that but I assume it's happily ever after Every single time, they have their first encounter under the cherry blossom tree, I remember thinking hey, why can't that happen to me? But there are no cherry blossoms here you see, The boy you fall in love with at the first day of school, Will not be yours by the last episode, That the guy you always see at your bus stop, Will not always save you a seat, That when he holds out his hand, No, it is not always your hands, he is reaching for That the sparks you feel when your lips touch, Are not always fireworks But maybe just electricity; waiting to shock you I've learned that "I love you" doesn't always mean "Happy Ending" I realized that "I love you" Doesnt always mean "take everything i have" I found out that "I love you" Doesnt always mean "I love you" That "Forever" Is about as real as you meeting the one under a ******* cherry blossom tree Yes, his eyes may sparkle, Yes, they don't see him the way you do Yes, the words I love you Feel like the sweater you finally bought after eyeing it for months, Yes, this moment may feel so surreal, That you can hear the background music and see the sparkles everywhere, But you see, this is not an anime or a movie, This love is'nt gonna end up the way you planned it to, Yes, you may be the author But this, is not just your story. -p.a.r

I want to live in Europe. I want to run in the Bavarian Forest. I want to be left in the English rain. I want to feel the Russian Frost. I want to skate in the Alps. I want to feel the French Luxury. I want to taste the Belgian Chocolates. I want to sleep in the European Palaces. I want to feel the Papacy Monastic. I want to feel the taste of French Cheese and Scottish Whiskey. I want to hear the Italian Piano. I want to read English Poetry. I want to hear the Spanish legends and don't forget the olive there ! I want to feel the magnificence of the Parisian Events. I want to swim in the Danube River. I want to be inspired by the fascinating paintings. I want to be amazed by the beauty of the churches there. I want to read about the greatness of the European History from there. I want to search in The Vatican Stores and Warehouses for answers I was looking for. I want to dream about reading the books that have been hidden in the Invisible Palace of Books in Berlin. I want to walk among the shelves of The National Library in London. I want to go shopping in the streets of Paris and Milan. I just want to be European, I want to live in Europe. - Shilo
