Sleep
Don't you worry
Go back to sleep
You'll always know
Where I will be
In you're dreams
While you're fast asleep
You're never alone
Go back to sleep

Fire
This tense desire
A built in fire
Ready to be released
Burning passion

Stuck
I don't expect you
to understand.
I try to explain
But you say
that I'm vain

Thinking of myself
all of the time

I'm stuck in my
own head
Screaming
Crying

I know you'll never
Understand...

Mirror mirror
Mirror mirror
On the wall
Will they love me
After all?

Mirror mirror
On the wall
Will I ever love me
Once and for all.

Whispering
I still feel it
The whispers in my ear
The demon on my shoulder
Hiding behind my hair

Whispering sweet evils
Deniying that he's there

I feel it creeping in
The doubt from deep within
The demon on my shoulder
Whispering to give in

Mother
The last Poet Jun 19
I am both
The best
And
The worst parts
Of you
I am you
And
You are me
There is no me
Without you
And
No you
Without me
We are one
And
the same.
Mother and daughter

Again...
The last Poet Jun 18
In every universe
In every time warp
In every reincarnation
I will find you again
No matter what we are tied together by that invisible string

Closer
The last Poet Jun 18
Not everything is as it seems
You need to look closer
Ask that burning question
Listen to that gut feeling
The meaning is there
Hidden in the cracks
Look closer
Closer
Closer...

Forever
The last Poet Jun 16
I will forever drown in your love
As we rot away on our couch
In the home we built together
Surrounded by our treasures
Our slice of paradise

My first love
The last Poet Jun 16
I chose to be my first love
My last love
My everlasting love

I chose to love me first
Before you do too
Chose self love and love will always find you

The last Poet Jun 15
You lit a spark
In my heart
Right from the start
Loving you is like breathing

Whispers
The last Poet Jun 14
I hear them sometimes
Whispering their lies

Do you hear them?
Behind those eyes
Whispering those lies

I surrender most times
To their lies behind my eyes
Surrender to their whispering lies
I struggle sometimes with the whispers behind my eyes

Wonder
The last Poet Jun 13
Do you ever just ponder
And wonder of life
The splender of nature
Of wildlife?
Nature is a wonder
Life is beautiful

Just a girl
The last Poet Jun 12
I was just a girl
You had no right
You crushed my light
I could not fight
Bad memories

What's the cost?
The last Poet Jun 11
We've loved
We've lost
But at what cost

They come
They go
But we have to pay

They never do stay
The cost of losing them

Everlasting
The last Poet Jun 10
How long has it been?
Long enough for memory to stretch thin
But never break

I'm begging to forget the lines of your face
The colour of your hair
The smell of your embrace

How long has it been?
Too long without a trace
of your everlasting grace
Fading memory of a loved one

Nature
I can hear it
The whooshing of the breeze through the branches of the tallest of trees

I can see it
The billions of glittering stars dancing on the still water mirrored from the sun high above

I can feel it
The cool lush cushion of grass beneath my bare feet tickling my toes

I can taste it
The fresh open air purifying my lungs with every breath I take

I can sense it
The freedom that calls to me on a primal level
This is where I belong

In nature
We belong amongst nature
It calls to us
When the time comes
When my heartbeats begin to fade
My eyes begin to flutter
I hope to see you there

Your floppy ears listen
Your crooked tail wags
Your smile grows wide
While you stand by my side
I hope to see you there

My best friend
My shadow
My furry soulmate
I hope to see you there
Forever in my heart 🐶
Love can hurt
It can feel like a burden
It can weigh heavy on the soul that feels too deeply
Unfathomable love
Desperate love that holds tight
To think of letting it go is to condemn the soul
An eternity of emptiness
Once so full
It hurts to love sometimes.

Do you hear them?
Do you hear it?
The thunder on the ground
The sound getting loud
Louder and louder
Thunder on the ground
They are coming
Hundreds and thousands
The thunder of their feet marching on the street
Do you hear them
Hear their calling
We are coming
The people on the street

If it were us
If it were us we'd be screaming and crying
Helpless and afraid, alone barely surviving

We would be screaming and crying, our children are dying

Helpless and afraid, our homes now our graves
No aid on its way because of the blockades

If it were us we'd be screaming and crying
Our children are dying
Our children are dying...

They say they'd get help if they had white skin and blue eyes
But they don't so they're dying

Yet they carry on smiling, hope in their eyes

Aid is on it way but it's not enough
A group of 12 so brave, so tough
Made of the best of us
but it's not enough

If it were us we would be screaming, we would be crying

Our children are dying

If it were us would we still be smiling?
