THE BOLT
At   twilight,*
in my deep slumber,
 I roused to the rumble of thunder;
with dense showers soaking me tender,
Streaks   of   light   sparkling   like   cinder,
 roaring     with     dander,       down    came

NAVARASA#9: PEACE
Serene solitude
stillness secures mind
freedom from self.
Meditation mediates between mind and soul, establishes calmness.

NAVARASA#8: LOVE
Coasting cupids,
puff spiralling butterflies
flutter in fondness.
Unconditional and unpredictable love, makes your hearts fly in joy.

NAVARASA#7: BRAVERY
Valorous visage,
rivulets of gore seep
glory blooms.

NAVARASA#6: FEAR
Unnerving nightmares,
drip foul fiendish ichor,
ticker in my maw.
Even the slightest uneasiness can cause terrifying thoughts to drift into your mind, pumping fear.

NAVARASA#5: ANGER
Livid rage roars,
resounding repentance
rots me from inside.
Anger can sometimes grow to maddening heights, drowning its victims in utter misery.

NAVARASA#4: DISGUST
Senses smothered in filth,
wails in repugnance,
isolated from immoral.
Open to a world where deception and immorality dominates, disgust is inevitable.

NAVARASA#3: LAUGHTER

NAVARASA#2: WONDER
Mesmerised by mysteries,
marvel those curious
agog to drift off.
The most inquisitive people, have an unquenchable thirst of knowledge, marvelled by the wonders of the world.

NAVARASA#1: EMPATHY
Burning beneath a cold heart,
wet flames rise atop
melts the toughest stone.
Even beneath the coldest heart, lies the sympathetic compassionate being, who has incredible powers to heal the foul soul.

MAN IN THE MIRROR
The man in the mirror
envelops his fractal fingers
over my scathing sight,
seeking quixotic symmetry,
the apogean gift of harmony,
with his enigmatic allure,
disillusions me off vanity;
off a falsifying dream.
The liar traps me in his liar,
to aid in his endless search for perfection
while shaming me for the sins I repent.
Vanity is one nasty thing.

ANTIGRAVITY
I leapt ahead,
leaving my tread,
in a sense of dread
hanging overhead,
floating, aimless;
flying, wingless;
the sky, cloudless;
the future, clueless.
I couldn’t look down,
or graze the ground, felt
my systems, breaking down;
my soul, in sorrows drown;
my life, upside down; but-
my faith, ne’er dies down.

JOURNEY HAIKU
Trotting over roadways,
on a volatile wayward ride
destination destiny.
Tread those uneven paths of life, to reach, what will be, your destiny.

TETRIS
Cascading pixels,
trickling over the arcade,
Eight bit drops-
Tiny blocks,
clumping together rise-
Digital monoliths.
Soaring up:
***** structures emerge;
Falling down:
begins to breakdown;
as the lines dissolve underneath
*multiplying scores manifold!
Found an old tetris cartridge in the attic. When I began playing, the nostalgia overwhelmed my thoughts and hence this poem..

THE PRELUDE TO DELUGE
Reckless cloudbursts
rippling reverberations-
Her harmonic ensemble
hits a deafening crescendo:
taunts my senses, paralysed;
haunts my spirit, petrified.
Destructive forces of tides and winds orchestrated by nature's fury.

ICEFALL
Traversing edges,
gliding o’er sledges
undulating ridges,
crossing broken bridges:
One could sense-
the Zephyr’s nudge;
glacier’s gelid grudge-
Frigid frail feet, fail to budge,
the mirage of hope, forever will trudge
traces of existence, begin to smudge.
A mini poem on 'Avalanches' – your arch nemesis in the Arctic.

PHANTASMIC
Algid aether whisked over
pure white translucence;
under twilight’s luminescence
her enchanting eidolon-hovering
afloat, screams off her plight,
sprouting orbs of delight,
it was love at first fright.
Love is intangible. You can only sense its presence.

THE FLUORESCENT FIREFLY
I espied the wisps,
whisper with their lips,
quivering their golden hips,
orbiting blooming tulips,
to provoke me, with their quips.
Taking out an old crock,
stalking behind a rock,
I trailed those glowing beetles,
whiffing the fragrance of myrtles,
skipped across the backyard,
to catch the fireflies, flitting haphazard,
Humming and buzzing, I could hear,
with luminous insects tickling my ear.
Losing my faith, I turned back home
followed by an unknown kith, adventuresome;
He sat on my finger, glimmering with radiance
wish he did linger, while I stood
hypnotised, under nature’s brilliance.

TRUE SKIN
Lotions and creams,
pay no heed to my screams-
Pains my inner impressions
through ****** concussions;
enveloped by flattery,
a repressed reality- Of
hidden expressions,
hidden dreams
and unspoken deeds:
reveal the beauty beneath.

HIBISCUS
In a sky, dense dark and grey,
when predators lookout for their prey
squirrels scatter every which way,
leading the path for my stay.

Drops of white pearls,
tear down the pink petals
glittering under the sparkling sun,
with beauty ne’er outdone.

Peeking through nature’s looking glass,
lies a beautiful heart of yellow grass
rests a reservoir of sweet gold,
that inveigle the swarm untold.

All the drizzle and haze
that forged an irrational maze,
ended with what may bring
the spell of fragrant spring.

Now bloomed the bud,
in the mucky miry mud
waiting to be plucked
the florid Hibiscus.
Inspired by my garden flower: Hibiscus.
