What If
Akhil Bhadwal Apr 2015
What If, the sky were to bleed
What If, hatred transformed into seed
What If, its all about greed
What If, love is all you need

What If, friendship becomes foul
What If, body rejects soul
What If, anger becomes meal
What If, death makes you kneel

What If, night sky loose stars
What If, you can only feel scars
What If, everyone look forward to wars
What is it, if you were to live on mars

A King Without Kingdom
Akhil Bhadwal Apr 2015
A king without kingdom, is the one who dwells in his own world
Physically here, psychologically in another plane, he never cares about this land's cult
The only thing he cares, are his dreams and fantasies
Maybe that is why he is called a king, in its own means

A king without kingdom, can't be suppressed or oppressed
For he, doesn't have a land, that can be snatched to make him depressed
He is the true owner of his will, a hero
Who can't be made, to exist with Aryabhatta's zero

The king without kingdom, is not a gardener without flowers
He is that farmer, who always welcome the showers
The one who will join him, will also become a king
Like him, the one, A King Without Kingdom

Emotions
Akhil Bhadwal Mar 2015
Emotions are one, that we can hide
Deep inside, there's always a fight
Between 'me' and 'myself'
For the emergence, outside

Emotions are, none other than
The expressions, of psychology
That flows for the whole time span
Continuously transforming, a (wo)man

Emotions are and aren't, good
Depends upon, exclusive you
Positivity, never always stood
Negativity, can be channelized for good

AB
A general description of "Emotions". Rhyme scheme for this structured poem is a a b a for first stanza and, a b a a for other two.

Possibility
Akhil Bhadwal Mar 2015
Sky, giving the possibility to fly
Like a hovercraft, every time in my eye
Endless, it seems as seen every time
Timeless, drawn with a blue line

Thoughts, giving the possibility to think
Transforming, into ideas that act like an ink
To write, the clean sheet of Karma
With, ecstasy(ies) and trauma(s)

End, gives the possibility to start
Afresh, anew, straight from the heart
Waves, the brain continuously sends
Possibility, it never ends

Follows a a b b rhyme scheme. Possibility explores the numerous combinations of discrete ideas and actions.

Unfair Tale
Akhil Bhadwal Mar 2015
Few days back, returned from a marriage
With my katz-en-jam-mer-ed bud, in a typical Himachli carriage
Half the journey, I was accompanied by
After parting ways at station, we bid each other bye

Continuing thereafter, the journey, I went into a slumber dim
Unaware, that the signal went out from my SIM
Someone, looking about 25, sat into my lateral sight
Looking sober, he asked about a familiar site

Involving his step family, he told me his unfair tale
Hearing upon which, I let pity sail
Somethings do happen for worse, told myself
Nothing remains forever, he added words on my shelf

MoonLight
Akhil Bhadwal Mar 2015
Routine daily, lost inside completely
Burning flame, flowing like rain
Still night outside, filled emotions inside
I saw it, the MoonLight

Deep thoughts, thousand quotes
Soaring high above, heavy clouds move
Wandering sight, took flight
I saw it, the MoonLight

Keep this to me, or let the world see
How it feels, desire to love
Her heart, the pure secret
Yes, now I see it, the MoonLight

Dedicated to a feeling called LOVE inspired by someone truly beautiful.

ExamPle(a)
Akhil Bhadwal Oct 2014
Sitting in the exam, everyone was getting bored
May the time passes quickly, I was praying to the lord
Had studied, maybe there would be something to write
But it was no fault, on my side

Yesterday, came from home and didn't reached my destination
As I resorted myself, to a friend' s mansion
There we talked, laughed, ate and slept
Due morning, we realised something we had left

That we were meant to study, and prepare for the exam
Or else, get enrolled into the failer's memo scam
Still there is some time left, for the exam to be over
Till then I, will pretend to be sober

This is the 7th original prose work by me. Wrote it on the back side of question paper during the exam. It is written according to a a b b rhyme scheme.

The White Mountains
Akhil Bhadwal Oct 2014
We were helping ourselves, with a lot of fun
And suddenly, I noticed something shining in the sun
The beautiful landscape, was looking very divine
As the mountains, in the sunlight, brilliantly shine

It was something I had seen before, at times
Though, never thought this could fit into a chorus of rhymes
These, known by the name of Chood Dhar range
Was Lord Shiva' s land, the sacred plains

Yes, they were beautiful, like white pearls in the ocean
Below the snow, the mountain, looked like a green lotion
A notion, that made a lot of words for me to contain
Finally I, name this prose, The White Mountains

This is sixth original poem by me. It follows a a b b rhyme scheme. This poem describes the beauty of Chood Dhar mountains which is meant to be a sacred dwelling of Hindu God, Lord Shiva.

RetriEVIL
Akhil Bhadwal Sep 2014
Make me laugh, and I will laugh with you
Make me cry, and I will tear you
Do me a favor, and I will be a savior
Take rest of mine, and I will devastate your mind

Do your thing, and I will let you in peace
Don't let me do a thing, and I will strip you in piece
Be my batman, and I will be your robin
Poker my life, and I will be your joker

Sprinkle on me, and I will shower at you
Through dirt at me, and I will spit on thou
Be my friend, and I will watch your back
Hold a knife, and I will kick your ***

Great Lord
Akhil Bhadwal Sep 2014
Oh my God, can I have a word with you, my Lord?
This world of yours is full of woes and worries
People are busy with their hurries and flurries
Wondering, what was the meaning of your word(s)?

Oh my God, can I have a talk with you, my Lord?
No one cares about the society, just boasts about brotherhood
They have to comprehend that they should
Understand your teachings of the Gospel sort

Oh my God, can I have a request from you, my Lord?
You did what you should, now its our turn to hold
With the same love and affection as you have for the world
Give us faith in you, bless us with humanity, great lord

AB
My fifth original poem, dealing with the things that I would like to have shared with God. Great Lord follows a b b a rhyme scheme.

The Attic
Akhil Bhadwal Aug 2014
As soon as the exams were over, we will be taken over
To a place already familiar to us, as this was ours to be taken over always
The place was like forever before, a two story cubicle
With a small attic attached, the best part of it.

They welcomed us, as usual with some food and sweets
Which made us feel drowsy for the time being
And we will go to bed in the attic, which we will insist
As it was a place full of suspense and thrill

The attic was used as a storage room, with a bedding spread between
The enshrouded variety of storage, which will be our apparatus
In this lab of mystery, sometimes we will find some
Interesting things like, train tickets, military calendars and at other times, great mouth tangling stuff

#004 The Attic. A nostalgic prosework dedicated to one of my sweetest childhood memory. No rhyme scheme is followed.

Thunderstorm
Akhil Bhadwal Jul 2014
Windows rattle, as I saw it from my bunk
Something flashed, in a flash
Along the sky, so high
The weather, was going to be rash

A funny thought, erupted in mind
As I was half asleep, at that time
Seemed like a huge camera, outside
Trying to bind it, into a frame of rhyme

Soon I realized, it was raining outside
And that the only thing, in my head
Was, nothing more than
The judgement bolt, of the Zeus god

AB
A half asleep dreamer' s thought, this is my third original poetic work.
Entitled "Thunderstorm", composed the poem with a b c b rhyme scheme.

Today
Akhil Bhadwal Jul 2014
The day today is like any other day
But something's different from yesterday
Before, I was cheerful and happy
Today, I am lost and chappy

Nevertheless, the show of life must go on
In spite of transforming me into a con
Bizarre, is this feeling of course
Maybe something was to happen, for better or for worse

Whatever will happen can only be seen
In the near future, live, off the screen
Still, something bothers my mind
Just wishing the stars, to be kind

This poem contrasts between the three Todays of past, present and future. Rhyme scheme for Today is a a b b.

R.I.P.
Akhil Bhadwal May 2014
Resting in peace, here are those
Who have got, no self to loose
A silent aura, enshrouding this cemetery
Retires them, from life' s *****

What is it, that they want to tell us
Are they really left, or present among us
Whatever they will be doing, in their afterlife
Surely they shed their divine blessings, upon us

A layman writes this rhyme, while having a gaze at it
His heart will always be lit, by a light
Of respect, which everyone should follow, for their sakes too
As this is the ending, of every individual bit

AB
Written in a a b a rhyme scheme, it is based on a cemetery. The main motivation and inspiration behind this poem is that we should respect cemeteries by keeping them clean and managed, as it is a place for people, where they can eternally rest.
