3:30
I've had all day to work.
Yet I procrastinate until the next–

Until 3:30am.

At 3:30 I'm so exhausted,
I don't even feel alive anymore.

It feels unreal.

A dream.

I haven't eaten for seven hours.
I fear that going to the kitchen to fill myself
Will awaken the family

Out of their gentle sleep,
And into my reality:
Hell.

My task gives me so much anxiety.
Fear.
It's dreadful.
Unbearable.

I put it off.
Until 3:30am.
I don't think about it.
I rid it from my mind.
Until 3:30 am.

She
She
Eyes bluer than the ocean
Smile as warm as sunlight
When we embrace
She heals my soul– gentle, yet tight

Lips redder than fuji apples
Skin as pale as seafoam shore
Everything about her
I simply adore

School
There are books and children
But I’m stuck here day-long
I compare it to prison
So isn’t that wrong?

Insomnia
Deep in the evening
Time begins to slow
When will it end?
Does anyone really know?

Too dehydrated to cry
These hours feel like hell
The sun begins to rise
But it never really fell

Temperature drops
Body so cold
These late nights
Are getting old

Death
I despise many people
Many people despise death.
Therefore,
I am death.

Picnic in the Rye
Chasing the clouds
In the morning sky.
Picnics with lovers
In the fields of rye.
We Are All Human;

Gender or Wealth,
Religion or Race.
If you disagree,
Then you're a disgrace.

Healthy or Disabled,
Straight or Gay.
We Are All Human,
So treat us that way.

Dear World,
Stand up against bullies.
Love yourself.
Realize your worth,
You deserve food on your shelf.

Have an opinion.
Use your voice.
If you're pro-life,
Still respect pro-choice.

If you don't like something,
You don't need to comment.
For if you do,
It might come off as torment.

You deserve your own opinion,
No need for facts.
Stop harassing minorities,
Get off their backs.

Be compassionate.
Compliment others.
Treat women like sisters,
and men like brothers.

We are all humans,
So treat us that way.
Thank you for reading,
That's all I have to say.

Be Yourself
Be proud of your beliefs.
Where you came from.
Who you are.
Because in the end,
You are who you are.

Red
Red
Red is the rose
and the polish on my toes

Red is the kiss on my cheek
and my dress– truly chic

Red is also blood
and bodies in the mud

Red is red
Love and dead.

White
Clouds in the sky
Sparkling stars
Skin of a corpse
Faded scars

Doves in the snow
Howlite stones
Powdered ash
Dried up bones

Purity and emptiness
Pale and bright
Serenity and grief
The color white.
Seventeen
Is the age you are
You have my love
No matter how far

You are my friend
And that will never end
Our love doesn’t snap
It only bends

You’re talented and beautiful
And you’re just so cool
This poem has to end
For I am at school.

Feminism
Makeup on,
Makeup off.
Beautiful voice,
Raspy Cough.

Modest or bold,
Wears a hijab.
Model-like body,
No six-pack or abs.

Masculine tomboy,
Wears fishnet-tights.
Regardless how we look,
We still have rights.

In The Bathroom
I wonder

How the girl
In the stall to my left
Weeps into a bundle
Of toilet paper
For she simply got under an A
On a test.

Whilst the girls
In the stall to my right
Speak casually
About their experiences
Of being *****.

More than once.

And by the same man.

The True Monster
The vampires are my sisters,
We dance in the night.

The ghosts are my brothers,
We cause folk a fright.

The werewolves are my pets,
We play with delight.

The human is my father,
The scariest sight.

He is the least humane of us all.

The Lasso in the Tree
I check-

No one’s looking.
An acorn is the only sound
I hear while falling to the ground.
I leap from my tree;
But I’m not quite free;
There’s a lasso around

My neck-

Her
Her
So young.
So pure.
To reach her heart,
You need a lure.

Soft skin.
Luscious eyelashes.
When she hurts,
I heal her gashes.

Daddy issues.
Damaged soul.
I try my best,
To make her whole.

Gentle laughter.
Gentle smile.
Do me a favor,
And stay a while

“Are you okay?”
“Are you okay?”

No one ever asks.
“Are you okay? You never eat snacks.”

“Are you okay? You cried hard today.”
“Are you okay? You owe an essay.”

“Are you okay? You’re quiet at school.”
“Are you okay? You’re used like a tool.”

“Are you okay? You never say ‘cheese!’”
“Are you okay? You’re too hard to please.”

“Are you okay? You’re no hick, ‘cause of plaid.”
“Are you okay? You look really sad.”

“Are you okay? You look like you’ll cry.”
“Are you okay? Just give life a try.”

“Are you okay? Maybe I should go.”
“Are you okay?”

Honestly? No.

— The End —
