I am a caricature of humanity
- a picture of its seething bowels.

I am its sloshing,
quivering, yet wholly earnest intestines
made manifest - I am,
the inside-out freak show
we all crave
dancing before your eyes
oh, and what a feast of eloquent gizzards you witness!

Feast your eyes, my friends!

I am what you wish you weren't
yet know you could be
as you yearn to be as free as me
all your shame and volatile desires
all your sadness and madness
all your dreamful bliss
I profess it daily
in an ode to you, my fathers and mothers,
in an ode of love for absurdity,
I am the cartoon character made free of its stage
the puppet made free of its strings
the loon, made free of his rage,
a benign insanity,
not capable of harming a germ.

Don't pass by
by all means
gawk
it's my pleasure that you do so
breathe my callousness in
shudder at the thought of being so exposed
having all your human nature bleeding there
like my crying eyes
as I tell you of all my past loves
and how I still love them
yes
even the meatloaf
still eating it
that baby towel
still snuggling it
that algebra homework?
Still completing it
and there's a missing grade somewhere
in a dusty book in a warehouse
imagine
how I'd creep in,
decades from now,
hours before my death,
open that tattered grade-book,
pen myself an A+ for my immaculately completed work
- fist pump the air!
Take that Ms. Cramsworth! I may not have beaten algebra,
but I beat you!

Die right there
in that warehouse
amongst all the other freaks.
There's Bigfoot, who slipped accidentally one day, got impaled by a branch, then called 911 - he had no health insurance, that's all she wrote. Bigfoot's just another disenfranchised-American statistic now. Bigfoot's last painful hours were spent taking selfies with holocaust deniers and people fashioning MAGA hats - some with rifles for effect - it was then Bigfoot regretted voting for Trump and only then. You were just rudely-awakened from having sympathy for Bigfoot, weren't you? Poor baby. Save our souls.
Then there are the cryogenically frozen heads of the Illuminati we're all worried about - they're trying to sleep until humanity can make them superhuman bodies.
A flying saucer that was alien in so far that it was actually a time-machine from our distant future that brought people back to warn us of an all-consuming genocidal calamity, but they spoke a language we didn't understand, had genetically surpassed us, and therefore were unrecognizable to our labs, and we took their highly-advanced babbling as acts of war when they tried to **** the Illuminati heads - killed them then, so tragic - ate their gizzards for research. Now we're all doomed to die... Their bodies were lain next to the Illuminati heads. Centuries later, the same couple, now janitors from the freak warehouse, see themselves, find the time-machine-saucer, and start the time-loop again... inadvertently causing the end of humanity because they messed up the timeline.

... and that's exactly why I never did my homework.
Humanity is doomed to die in some distant future caused by the doom-couple and so I refused to put a brick in the wall. I refused because all I was was a...nother brick in the wall and I hated it.

Because as fascinating as I am.
As absurd as I am.
As much of a human marvel as I am.
I don't matter. I matter the least.

And so that's why I had to die in that off-the-books warehouse,
full of priceless and unmentionable artifacts.
They wouldn't ever put me there, but I had to die with the legends.
I had to give my life meaning somehow.
If I can't live a legend, I will die one... by the way the janitors put me in the trash out back anyway.
I end up in an east-Asian landfill somewhere, kicked in the face by barefoot sweatshop kids who just so happened to make the sneakers on my very feet. Isn't that poetic justice? What a send-off!

And so isn't that all a satisfying and cathartic end,
giving closure to the most absurd poem,
with the most random details,
wasn't that fun?
Just have to bust out a mad-****** like this every once in a while.
Seems an important part of my writing process and growth, LOL.

Enjoy!

Dear Bigfoot,

Thank you for allowing me to live after I killed your son.

Thank you for showing me that my way is right and everyone else is evil and must be saved.

Thank you for making me hate anyone who is different from me, but I'll still tell everyone else to love thy neighbor.

Thank you for terrifying me into loving you. For shoving your ideas down my throat and telling me I'll burn if I think for myself.

Thank you, Bigfoot, for being the horrible monster that we all love and adore so much because we're afraid not to.

Thank you, for being a *******.

Thank you for modeling us after your image so we could be hideous and evil.

Thank you for creating misery and death.

Amen
My little "*******" to the religious folks who think their way is the only way.

Finding Bigfoot

Call it Bigfoot or Sasquatch or Yeti
Either way it describes a big hairy beast
There’s one thing for sure I know
If he does exist, I wish not to be his feast

Be it Legend or a myth
It still sends a chill down my spine
I shiver thinking of being face to face
My dilemma would be genuine

Why do people go in search of
Is it for their own peace of mind
If the day ever comes to be
We may not like what we find

Are we expecting a hug and a kiss
When we finally find he does exist
I would think he would simply
Just tear us to bits

I think that if I ever did see one
I would try to stealthy leave as pussyfoot
Knowing for sure Sasquatch or Yeti I don’t
Want to be the one finding Bigfoot

I Craw in the Urban Jungle night after night, making shadows my best friend
Because my pale skin would get sunburn in the day time.
Many of you have read about me on the internet,
But don't know if we exist like the Yeti or Bigfoot
Every now and then you see photos of me and hear stories about our existence
But here I am, White, Nerdy and…. Nerdy

Nerdy like the Nerds falling out of the box and skipping on the floor of my lair
(or my parents basement whatever you call it).
Some moments you will find me praying to my shrine for my savior, Weird Al Yankovic

Many of you may call us “ Losers”
But let me take a moment to tell you why you are wrong, in every way.
First off, We are not losers we just win at things that you don't care about
Like the Rubik's Cube, Dungeon and Dragons, and Larping
We don’t care about making friends, getting the poo tang, or getting high off of our *****
No we are too occupied trying to plan how we will survive the zombie apocalypse,
Or debating on if Star Wars is better than Star Track.
We are too busy reading comic books, Leveling up our one handedness
On Skyrim of course.

You think that we are hideous,
But in all reality, my acne improves my defenses against mother nature,
My braces are actually tools that government uses so they can reflect solar flares back to space
I'm ugly because god decided to make me pick up girls on ******* mode because before you Meet me it was way too easy.

Many of you think that we are weak
I may have spaghetti arms, no abs, but you know what, no problem,
Because if you look at my shadow, you see someone that 10 feet tall and bulletproof
I am a nerd, hear me roar.

My roar breaks your paper thin confidence
As it just floats in the wind like leaves, leaving the tree in October
My roar will rock your house with all of your friends leaving you alone because in the end, you May be popular but lets be honest, who are your real friends?
Call me weak, I dare you

Being a nerd has taught me many things
Like don't eat cake because it is deceiving
And that Neo should of taken the blue pill
Because that movie series was terrible.
And that DC Comics is the best, ***** Marvel
But the one thing it taught me the most is that be proud of myself.
PJ Poesy Apr 2016
They say you stink. I would never.
That antediluvian odor, reminiscent of us
before the flood. And I rove the woods

of the world (those left), scaling cliffscapes,
spelunking caves, in search of our lost love.
Just a sign of something. Proof I need

of our tender attachment. Detachment
of orphic misunderstanding drives my pursuit,
as sleeper wakens to piercing glare.

How to get you back? Yowling, beating
trees with thumps percussing a want
of ancient ******* still stuck inside me.

I want you back my beloved Bigfoot.
Hunt I will, till I find, anything related
to this kind, of primitive feeling.
Arlo Disarray Apr 2015
I believe in Bigfoot
I believe he created us in his image
I believe that Little Bigfoot died on a cross and became a zombie on Easter

In the tress stood a man of wild beard

While walking one day he sort of appeared

                                       Was covered with fur

He let out such a ‘GRRR’

That I ran away thinking, “How weird!”
people die, and come back to life, the previous lives they had, might have gone nastily but still…..

you see, have you often worried why young dudes, who were born in the 60s 70s and 80s, how they

are very selfish, and other things like that, well, it could be the tragic deaths of how they finished their lives

you see one person was john f kennedy and another was martin luther king, another was marilyn monroe

and another was john lennon, and another was tupac, and i was greame thorne, and i was blackbeard the pirate

and captain cook, you see the paranormal world traps all the young, and greame thorne and the life before him

patrick dunbar, have been keeping my legs itching, and making me play cool for yeah mate yeah kids, and

forcing me to be that shy young dude, even if i know how to speak on stage, i am forcing myself into relaxation

so, i can easily, one day i can be an MC, or bring my santa claus character to the next level, you see i was st nicholas

as well, and i also was isabella of france, mate, there are a lot of brutal murders in the past, which could be the

reason, why a lot of today’s earth bodies are selfish, thinking, their last lives were treated so badly, they will take out

revenge on the world, and greame thorne and patrick dunbar and albert waldron are pushing my feet down to the floor

to make it feel like a hooligan or a little young dude, ya know, they were saying, don’t get bullied mate, be a hooligan

you see greame thorne was worried how i was getting teased at school and made me tie myself up very tightly

and i wanted to be a TV star, but my dad was an old fogie, who, hates young people misbehaving, i like the young dudes on TV

they are cool, and i was in two plays as an adult and a few school plays, they were cool, you see, anyone who was killed, ya see

they get their bones dug up, but the should is in the youth of today, like patrick dunbar and greame thorne are with me, which forced

me to be a kidnapper, i was the 323 year old man born on christmas day, i was blackbeard the pirate, i was bigfoot who was the illusion

of the loch ness monster, you see i was a reincarnation hooligan, but people are treating me like a shy hooligan, the feeling comes about

because i tried to be a kid, to avoid being kidnapped when i was drinking and throwing beer bottles on top of st matthews roof

the medication i am on, is pushing me down on the floor, making me feel dad was doing it, but it was steven bradley sand all the other

bad guys, and because i was blackbeard the pirate and bigfoot and a vicious dog, i am being told i am not a family person, since i tied

up a boy in 1990, i caused a lot of trouble as blackbeard and bigfoot, and this dog was really my last evil life which was killed, you see i

am not evil in this life, and big foot turned into the loch ness monster, i am working in all these lives, to make the world easier to live in

if i had a million, i could use it to take homeless people off the street, and try and stop the hooligan itchy feet push down

I WANNA BE FAMOUS, in what i can do,   I AM NOT SHY, MY REINCARNATION HOOLIGAN, is striking again

I once saw big foot
All tall and hairy
And I tell you friend
He looked pretty scary

Had to be 7 foot tall
And covered in hair
So much you could only see his eyes
With their sinister glare

He had a bad stench
And what appeared to be green teeth
And weighed so much
The ground seemed to sink underneath

He did speak a form of English
Though it was hard to understand
And yes it is true
He had a Slim Jim in his hand

Of course I ran away
I am at least that smart
You just never know what you will see
At your local Wal-Mart!

Have you ever noticed that when you type

you often loose a letter here and there?

We blame it on ourselves

and we say it was and error.

But I am starting to think

that there is a computer troll lurking about

And if it don't get caught soon

I will give Eliot a shout

I would imagine this troll is like Bigfoot

always there but never seen

I think he likes our letters

And I think he's rather mean

He doesn't just take one or two

But he'll leave the words a mess

This is really ******* me off

I guess I must confess

So if you see him running by

tell him I'm on to him

Because if I ever catch up to him

his future will look grim

Looking For Bigfoot In All The Wrong Places

   I’ve looked under the bed
And I’ve looked in the closet too
I’ve searched in the man cave
And even in the Loo

I’ve checked the state house
And I’ve looked at the town hall
I’ve been to the bowling alley
And even the food court at the Mall

But there’s no signs of him anywhere
He’s an illusive creature to say the least
And I’m not really sure that I’m
Prepared to meet such a big hairy beast

But people swear they’ve seen him
Someone said he was down by the Lake
But when the witness was questioned
It turns out he was drunk and his story a fake

I’ll keep searching for him among
The strange and familiar faces
But I’m beginning to think that I’m
Looking for Bigfoot in all the wrong places

The drifter in the room is a stranger,
he is crazy, is Bigfoot with deer moccasins on−
monster of condominium rooms and dreams.
The drifter in this room used to be my friend.
He spoke straight sentences, they did not sound like poetry-
reverberated like a narrative, special lines good a few bad,
or stories being unwound by the tongue of a gentleman,
lip service, juggler of simple words to children.
The night is a dark believer in drifters,
they sound sober, affairs with the wind,
the 3 A.M. honking of the Metro trains.
Everything sleeps with a love, a nightmare at night.
The drifter.

Bigfoot shot himself back in time.
To meet Jack Kerouac.
When he got there he learned that Jack was captured by the Yakuza.
He did nothing and went home.
Mr. Scarecrow was bigfoot.
A little girl told him that he was going to die alone.
That he wouldn’t mind the pain.
That everything he changed wouldn’t work.
It would all just be the same.
Don’t fall in love the little girl said to him.
What the hell does she know.

I'll ask of the berserks, you tasters of blood,
Those intrepid heroes, how are they treated,
Those who wade out into battle?
Wolf-skinned they are called. In battle
They bear ****** shields.
Red with blood are their spears when they come to fight.
They form a closed group.
The prince in his wisdom puts trust in such men
Who hack through enemy shields.
A skaldic poem composed by Thórbiörn Hornklofi in the late 9th century in honor of King Harald Fair-hair and his berserker warriors and one of the earliest accountings of berserkers. Translation from R.L. Page Chronicles of the Vikings. Toronto: University of Toronto Press 1995, 109.

There are many things
We don't know are real.
From scientific theories
To the forever concealed.
What could be false,
And what could be true?
If you were to ask me,
Humanity never knew.

First up in my list are pretty unicorns,
With majestic manes and glittery horns.
Nobody's ever found one, maybe nobody will
But that won't stop some from trying, still.

Next on the list is maybe the ghosts,
Transparent and spirited, the one of which most
People believe in, but I am not sure
If they can be real. We'll keep searching for more.

Third one's the charm, please meet Bigfoot!
Is he really as real as the fireplace soot?
But if you're a hunter, please beware,
Killing him's illegal in Washington... how rare!

Mermaids are next, at the fourth spot.
When it comes to my reasons, I know quite a lot.
5% of the oceans is all we've explored,
So they might be out there, trapped forevermore.

Last but not least, and this statement's quite bold:
We can never prove the existence of the soul.
What does it look like? Where does it go?
Those are some things I'd like to know.

There are many things
We don't know are real.
From scientific theories
To the forever concealed.
What could be false,
And what could be true?
If you were to ask me,
Humanity never knew.
You can't prove something to not exist.

Myth of dense forest terrain
anomaly creature, inexplicably inane
8ft grizzly humanoid primate
resides in queer & eerie climates
emanating the putrid stench of death
Its' presence will have you gasping for breath.
Strange disturbances in electric fields,
the camera glitches, recording squeals...
in the distance, a blood-curdling roaring howl
that even silences the consistent night owl
midnight in a forest cabin; awake with dread
as the Sasquatch peers through the window
across your bed.

Bizarre material is better remembered than common material.

That items near the end of a sequence are the easiest to recall, followed by the items at the beginning of a sequence; items in the middle are the least likely to be remembered.

The remotest Bigfoot is the easiest to believe.

Today, search for the Lock Ness monster yourself with Google’s underwater Street View.

The easy truth is hard to believe.
Today, google's logo honors "Looking for Nessie for 81 years" and allows you to search the lake on street view: https://www.google.com/maps/@57.324751,-4.440336,3a,75y,250.02h,86.92t/data=!3m5!1e1!3m3!1sOPqFRY1JOXUAAAQfDRcs3A!2e0!3e2

The snow makes this humming noise
Can you hear it?
It’s the noise
That people described
When they were huddled
Around the campfires
Telling ghost stories
Back in the day
When the ground was soaking dry
And the tank top filled days
Ricocheted off of the boys
Chasing Bigfoot thought the cornfields.
The reflection of innocence
Left my mind
When reality kissed me
With her cigarette filled breath.
Leaving me
Cold,
Rusty,
Flaking away
From the radiant skin
That brushed off the cornfields.

The snow makes this humming noise
Can you hear it?
It sounds like my friends
Moving away
From the innocence
And transferring
To the school
Of harsh expectations.
They were forced
To take daily vitamins
Consisting of impractical expectations
Left by the people
Who said that they just couldn't do it.
You see,
My friends didn't follow the boy scout honor,
They left traces of themselves
Behind the cracks of my skull.

The snow makes this humming noise
Can you hear it?
Its sounds like the snow
Is giving a close shave
To the power lines
That crackle with apprehension.
I walk about the desserted Ice cream
That has foamed over the cornfields.
My feet seem to stick
To the people who wants me
To be just like my brother,
Whenever I creep
Through the creek of snow,
I get trapped by the vacant wasteland
All I can do is wait
For I am waiting for jack frost
to **** up my last breaths.
Crushing my soul
With the rhythm
of this humming noise
The snow makes.

What a fan-*******-tastic day it's been
I'm so happy, I could scream
I was hoping for a nightmare, but I only got a dream

And my dream was full of meadows, flowing streams and singing birds
But I hated all their songs
because they didn't have words

******* birds and your lousy chirping
I'd rather hear the alphabet from a drunk guy burping
So quit your constant squawking, I don't think you're pretty
Your singing is like car horns honking in the city

Waking back up from my hellish dream
I tripped down a hill and fell in a stream
I couldn't see because of the fog
So I grabbed onto Bigfoot, thinking he was a log

And as the sun shone its rays down onto my skin
I screamed at the sky "God, where have you been?"
But alas, still no answer. Still no sign of light
I'll believe God exists the day he's in my sight

For now, Mr. Sunshine, stay out of my sight
I'm done with your false face shining so bright
Last time I saw you, my eyes caught on fire
Now I am blind, and my pupils expired

Fan-*******-tastic, this whole day has been
I wish I could live it again and again
I just can't stop smiling, I just can't quit grinning
Let's start this great day over from the beginning!

I always believed
Not in Bigfoot
Not fuzzy footage that's revealed as fake
Not traipsing footprints in the hillside
I always believed
Not in megalodon
As though I could believe in all sincerity
A forty foot shark roams the ocean unnoticed
I always believed
Not in ancient aliens
Living under oceans since the beginning
Atlantis sinks and the Bermuda triangles curse
I always believed
In you
God how I hope
What I believe is truth
Like like like follow follow follow. Please

I'm not digging my grave
I'm just going to hang from this tree
Bleeding from my wrist
Drunk off the freshly opened bottle of Jack Daniels
My grave is in total opposite
I'm six feet above the ground
In this shallow grave
Nobody even knows I'm here
They're all probably thinking it's a hoax
Well I'm no UFO
Or Bigfoot sighting
I'm a 17 year old
Hanging from the neck
Of my favorite old oak
I think it's over 100 years old
I left a note
I wonder if they found me yet
I told them I was dead already
Nobody ever believes me
Maybe now they will
When they see what I carved into my wrist

if you meet
a snake with fangs
as large as sore thumbs
don’t put your hand out and say:
'How do you do?'
Otherwise
it’d might take a bite
and it’d say:
'How do you do?'

if you meet
an alien
in the streets
don’t say:
'Hey, what you’re
doing in my territory?'
he’d might just zap
you with his laser gun and say:
'Oh, I just dropped in to say:
Earthling, buzz off!'

if you meet God in the streets
just don’t say:
'Who do you think you are?'
for the most certain answer
from that loony would be:
'I’m God…'

if you meet the Devil in the streets –
well, you just shouldn’t be
meeting anyone like that;
just run!

2

if you meet a ghost
in the shadows
of your garden
(or anywhere
for that matter)
don’t say:
'How does it feel there?'
because it may just jump in
and say:
'Hey, it feels good to be in you.'

if you find
your pillow
on the floor
when you wake
in the middle of the night
just don’t say:
'What you doing on the floor?'
just grab it
tuck it under your head and say:
'Just stay there!'

if you find Old Jenny grandma’s dentures
in a glass beside your bed
when you wake up in the middle of the night
don’t say:
'Old Grandma – what are your dentures doing here?'
It’s yours, remember? – you are Old Jenny Grandma!

if you meet a bird in the streets
resting on a lamp post
whatever you do
just don’t stand below the light
for you never know what might land on you

if you meet me
in the streets
just don’t stretch out your hand
and don’t say:
'How do you do?'
because I’ll have to you give you the boot –
Cos, hey, I’m Bigfoot!
Jeremy Betts Oct 2022
I followed the order handed over to the T, I swear, I checked every square inch of the interior in that musty, empty chamber as well as the outer perimeter
And, just to make sure to cover all of our bases, a land surveyor calculator was used so no one would have to return to confirm the number later
He soulda, woulda, coulda but didn't prepare for the worst,  should have taken ques from one of them openly mocked doomsday prepers
Just in the event there was no search and rescue coming together to push the radius wider
I'll say this, there's nothing you could compare to what was in there other than a twisted flair of a taboo desire for a living nightmare
Keeping it honest here, there was no proper way too decipher if pain or anger fed the monster in turn fueling the inner and outer warfare
After all this time the why is still unclear like an over exposed Bigfoot picture under the blur of an out of focus layer with the top half blacked out by a fat finger
It's mostly ever operator error, there's no proof of any attempt to even remove the lense cover
Resulting in snap shots that fully render the emptiness of a gut wrenching, heart breaking type of forever
Walking through the bare walled entry erected the neck hair, instantly on anticipatory high alert, predicting a jump scare
I'd never go back there but if you dare, prepare to soil your underwear, best to bring an extra pair
It's far eirrer in there than I imagined it'd be with the unbalanced nature of finding tragedy has bled into the comedy so frustration and the for mentioned anger seemed not only justified but fair
One might expect a shrill chill to fill the air befitting the general atmosphere likened to the hollow echo of an abandoned aviator hanger
There was an uneasy stillness in the helplessness seemingly coming from nowhere and everywhere
The nonconsentual caress of chaos looked to have been ramped up a gear, allowed to feast on the bounty of self loathing and fear
I don't know if you could consider one over the other being better while not sure who's the bigger threat, the dark passenger or driver?
Neither should have been allowed to steer especially after the request to hold so and so's beer
Looks like nothing penetrated the barrier inside each ear that, according to the guest sign in on the counter here, had been garded by a couple demon friends made during his very first winter
Just prior to the proverbial greener pasture being engulfed by an arsons fire lit by the land owner
And oh how it wreaked of dispair, heavily punctuated by the stench of failure
It lingered like a stocker predator peering over top the chip and bolder on what's been dubbed an unworthy shoulder
Progressively more violent as the one under investigation grew older, evidence shows a temper that consistently boiled over
The life destroyers lurkin' behind every door down a never ending corridor, waiting in the cover of darkness found around every corner
You don't know from where but can hear screams of terror as you pass a single motivational poster that reads, "being dead inside will allow for the skipping over of the coroner all together"
Buyer beware, this particular first stair is a header, the warnings couldn't have been clearer
A lack of empathy stains character but if lead by example it's plain to see why someone might refuse to care
Or would even know how to for that matter, solely focused only on the neighbor who's grass is forever advertised as greener
Didn't do the work on the personal endeavor so it didn't get any better, attitude towards it all seemed very cavalier
An obvious what not to do trend setter, a self proclaimed and locally agreed on idiot of the year
Missed all this YOLO banter, acting like a pop of the trunk would reveal a spare
Who's life is it really if you're not even a content creator in it much less the engineer
Come to think of it I don't recall that even bein' offered up to this poor sap as a qualifying career
It should be but that's neither here nor there, what's done is done and every other cliche you can pull out of the air
To put it simply, he wasn't known as a fighter so he threw in the towel and tossed innocence out with the bath water
The belief that life was beyond repair was a thought he struggled to alter, positivity was something he never learned how to gather, had a horrible teacher
It didn't help hearing a proper confirmation message from both a soothsayer and palm reader with no reassurance from his supposed maker
Proof that it's always safer to separate judge, jury and executioner, it's a no brainier
But he wore all three hats plus at his core was a sinner, it could've been his last meal every time he sat down for dinner
So he no doubt knew there was no scenario where a man like himself was gonna come out the winner
And now that I've seen the bizzar aftermath from every angle I can say with far more confidence than when I began to explore that I don't know how he managed to even get this far
The violence was real, the battles weren't staged, it raged on behind the fleshy mask he wore to keep us from witnessing the horror
But every day his anchor to a brighter reality got weaker, thoughts and surroundings becoming darker faster than he could remember from the days before
One can only be expected to hold on for so long when you're the nail trying to resist the hammer
He was neither hero nor imposter, just the next mother fuucker to fall victim to his own future
Allen Wilbert Jul 2014

their cryings so they don't
know that they're dying.
I'll poke them as they're
writhing and goad them
to start trying and coax
them to start flying, all
the while knowing that
Bigfoot sightings are as
big a joke as my writings.

Now, I believe in bigfoot
I've seen it with my own eyes
It was hairy and all hunched over
And it's **** was covered with flies

It had a smell that I can't describe
I even had to hold my nose
That hairy thing scared me so bad
I just stood there and froze

It's face was ugly and covered with hair
I couldn't tell about it's gender
It just stood there staring at me
Like it wanted me to surrender

It opened its mouth and a noise came out
It was trying to communicate
I couldn't understand a word it said
And I wasn't about to wait

I took off running as fast as I could
With that monster right on my tail
I thought I was gonna regurgitate
Remember, I told you, "the smell"?

I almost made it, til my wife made me trip
That's when I started to fall
She said, "Stop it! What are you doing?"
For it was only my mother-in-law
