"That Wicked Woman!"
Is a wicked utterance
From a wicked man
Clowning, who plan
To get every possible
& oblivious voter a fan!

A wicked man
Revoltingly believes
Women are wicked
Oblivious he is
Out to slaughter
His mother,sister
,wife and daughter !

What a trash
What a trash
A folly that leads
A great, all-accommodating
And democracy-upholding nation
To a lapse or a deadly crash!
A trash tarnishes image
While Hillary mollifies umbrage!
We have to support the cause of women, the marginalized and the like.
Leaders are expected to walk their talk.I don't want a man with a disgusting speech to pope up in media outlets, for otherwise the fledgling will not be disciplined

Breaking the double yoke
For ages
Saddled with
Domestic chores
Confined indoors
With a traditional muzzle
Devoid of a voice
With fellow housewives
We were sweltering
Under the class
And gender yoke
Seen weak though
We were strong as a rock.

Things taking
A positive turn,
When people about
Women's potential
Came to learn,
Enjoying a level ground
And expertise,
An outshining
Women farmers
We have begun to enjoy
A handsome return.

After unremitting exertion
In a special way
Drawing attention
Investor we have indeed
Created job opportunities
For numerous in need
On their turn who have
Many mouths to feed.

We members of the fair ***
If not denied a chance
Could outsmart
Many a man, in a given
Task, grappling with his part.

In the Science
And political arena
Ladies that prove brilliant
Must come to the limelight.

In the military
And peacekeeping task
On the athletics track...,
There are also women
Who merit a tap on the back.

Breaking the double yoke
Must be the era's talk
Gender based discrimination
Should  no longer  pose
In development's wheels
A spoke!
Let  this volubly
Resonate from
North to South
And from Beijing
To New York!
In some parts of the world women suffer double oppression gender and class. This is a poem in recognition to the motivation given to women farmers.

Sandwiched in between
An unforgettable
Memory to cherish
A glimmer of hope
To relish
Renders life,sandwiched
In between,
A sumptuous dish!
Life becomes nice if we have memory to cherish in our old days and if have hope that keeps us going!

Divergent paths
Though among the chosen,
Judah opted to cross floor,
Out of his way
Heading to the path of the fallen!

In a spectacular way
Breaking loose from
The tight grip of the fallen,
Mary Magdalene braved
The ardours track of the chosen!

Heedless to a heavenly
Crown at hand,
Judah  hankered
For a monetary reward.
Giving attention
To soul's worth,
While Mary Magdalene
Gave a red card
To her cherished perfume,
Though to procure it
She saved hard.

It was with a kiss
"This is He
You should not miss!
Now, mission accomplished,
Give me the 30 Birr please!"
Judah betrayed Christ.
Repentan, while
Mary  Magdalene
Washed Christ's feet
With tears.

Regretful Judah
Put a noose around his neck,
While ,Mary Magdalene happily
Saw the resurrection of
Christ before a daybreak!
We have to take a step in the right direction

By far better
S/he
Who openly loathes you
Is by far better than
S/he with affectation
Adores you!
I think it is true!
Though from fairytale
Princesses less attractive
Many a man fails
To notice
A  quality love
She could give
As much as
She could receive.

Admiring her
Internal beauty
Compensated by
Her faithfulness,
Integrity and honesty
Adored by her
Enjoying a marital bliss
It is a fortune
Long ,with her to live!
Why must men solely focus on the   most beautiful ones alone Also why must we from childhood paint such a picture in our mind Film producers also do that too!.
The hardest way
It came to my head,
If  a linchpin doesn't  fit
The axle,
It is as good as dead!

An honest man
Amidst many a ragamuffin
Is just like one the last  nail
Is hit on whose coffin!
Speaking the truth where the truth is buried under heaps of people or collogues without integrity proves futile

A toothless face
Slavishly touting laudatory
Remarks that
Run counter to his belief
Could not let a journalist
A moment's relief!

"The incumbent
Has flickered
Darkness piercing light
Now as things are bright
None stop
We have to condemn the past
To catapult the present
On the infallible mast!"

Conveying messages
Without beef,
Also forced to turn
Eyes, to reality, deaf,
He is smote by
Excruciating grief
Freedom of expression
Turned brief!

To spare himself
A stomach pang
He has to allow
Political thugs,
In the guise of
Media bosses
That form a
Government's favour
Ingratiating gang,
His mouth to gag!

Intimidated by them
Into self censorship
The facility of his pen
He could not keep!

Ironically,
A mainstream press,
With a toothless face,
Rather conveys
An autocrat or,
To be precise,
A clinically dead
Government in place!//
The fate of genuine journalists across the globe who have to work for no other option of living in a country, where democracy is gasping for air.

Mandela, The Moral Giant
Intoxicated with
'Might is right! '
The moral dwarfs,
With beefed up muscles
And iron fists,
Drove home fright
Killing and leeching
Alienated natives
Day and night!
They brutally
Subjugated many,
With bare hands,
For God-given freedom
Who have to fight!

Up on gaining
Back freedom
Revolted by
'An eye for an eye! '
Mandela the moral giant
Declared
"Retaliation what for
and why?
A moral dwarf, like
Ex-bosses,
Degrade myself must I?
Though I was robbed of
Sunlight from a lullaby
Almost to the day
I die!
The 'peace and considerateness'
Placard is what we must
Worldwide hover high!

All of us are on our way out
Let us make sure
Behind us we leave
Days bright!

Also we must not forget
Among the white
The presence of
The moral giants
Who fight for
Blacks' right!"
In remembrance of the freedom icon Mandela of South Africa!
Though they have
Different tongues
All religions
Have the same speech,
Peace,Love, Considerateness
And Hope
Are what each preach!

Is it not  then
A glitch
Under the guise of religion
To teach
"Spell death!'
To s/he who has
a different faith!
Terrorism under the guise of religion doesn't work for it is a glitch that contradicts religiosity.Hopefully it will ebb out soon!

Love has a timeless appeal
A faded rose
Retains its
Fragrance for the nose!

At a train station
Something exemplary
Drew my attention
I saw an old man
Kissing his aged wife
"Love of my Life!"
Yes a genuine love stands the test of time

You too will be a victim
When you hear
Others back biting
Your friend
Listen , assured,you too
On the morrow
Will be a victim to the trend!
Amharic proverb back biting is a bad trend
Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should...

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...

And Father struggles daily
To live up to 'his image'
As protector and provider
And 'hero of the scrimmage'...

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as 'soft' as he can be...

But he's so busy every day
In the gruelling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...

But Fathers are just wonderful
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolades of praise,

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...

And like Our Heavenly Father,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be always on our side.

Though life is priceless
And invaluable,
To be frank,
The blood, one donates
To a blood bank,
An oasis in
Life-devoid desert
A delivering mother's
An accident victim's
A nation defending
Soldier's life,
Helps to regain back!
What a lofty task!
What a lofty task!

Donating the resilient blood
Does not affect
Our health's statuesque,so
Once in a while
Let us learn,to a nearby
Blood bank to go!

When sinks in the idea,
Of such a holy venture
Following suit
All will nurture the culture!

A Genuine Friend
S/he who
Our amity loves to cherish,

S/he who
The fulfilment of my wish
Has a bent to relish,

S/he who
Serves me a right arm
To parry,towards me,
Inflicted harm,

S/he who
Like a mirror
When I err
Gently draws my attention
To self-image
Tarnishing error,

S/he who
Basks in my success
Than covertly prove
An enemy adverse,

S/he who
Like a wolf in a sheep skin
With my closest ones
Doesn't commit a sin—
Which to forget but not to forgive
I will find hard
Before I am sent to
The graveyard

S/he who
Like a cat or snake
A retaliatory measure
As a knee-**** action
Does not take,
Also  with gentle admonishment
Willing to forgive
My mistake,

S/he who
Without ifs and but
My inborn follies willing to accept

S/he who
During all seasons
Agreeable or adverse
A chameleon
His/her stance
That doesn't reverse,

S/he who
That doesn't
Behind my back gloat
When I lose
A battle fought,

When the aforementioned
Conditions set
Are met,
As gold is tested
With fire
A genuine friend
I admire!
A poem for friends day
A sudden power outage
Rams home
Light's advantage!

What exactly is meant
By inexorable grief,
Dawned on me
Off my guard
When you
Turned brief,
Setting my heart afire
With anguish
That knows not a relief!

What a dead or dump nose
That doesn't sense
Death hovers close!
That is why
Oblivious to facts on the ground
I stuck to"Forever together!"

Yet,happily
The Almighty lends
The bereaved power
To outgrow
Such a gloomy hour!
What a bereaved girl told me while I was expressing condolence following the death of her mother! consoling her, talking with the dead
It will not change now
After so many years
Life has not broken it
With parting or tears
Death will not alter it
It will live on
In my all songs for you
When I am gone.

God gave you your daughter
For such a little while;
He put a bit of heaven
In the sunshine of her smile.
He took dust from
The brightest twinkling stars
And made her sparkling eyes;
And now, she’s gone back home to God,
To play up in the skies.
And though she left so quickly
That your hearts are grieved and sad,
We know she lives with God
And her small heart is glad.
And though your precious darling
Was just a rosebud small;
She’ll bloom in all her beauty
On the other side of the wall.

Words of consolation to parents whose daughter is cut short.
From formative years
To adulthood serfs-baited
Servants ill-treated
From their means
Of existence alienated,
It is with hatred
From- serfdom- of- every-kind
-the- newly -unshackled heads'
Formatted!

Though their much-lamented land
Has come back to their hand
Tardy,their mind proves not free,
That is why they engage
In a killing spree!
Worse still death to all, allies
Inclusive,they decree!

Although it sounds funny
They pay back gal
For received honey!

Also to cultural norms
And religious ideals blind,
Atavistic they slay
A woman and a child
In a way that is wild.

Oblivious for 9-months
They had a lodging
In a mother's womb
They want to blast it
With a bomb!
They want to shove in it
A spherical thorny wood
As far as they could.

Alive,they grill a man,
For idle or unskilled what
They can't do, he can!

In the name of God
Or religious sects,
Replete at this
Satan-released age,
They behead a man
Made in God's image!///
To Ethiopians that passed through such ordeal at different parts of the world and at its boarders, though hospitable Ethiopia has played a glaring role for the independence and freedom of enumerable countries!

No compensation
No compensation will atone
For a gruesome betrayal
One has undergone,
Languishing under
Soul's darkest night alone.
A friend told me about this fact before I experienced it myself
Thou ill-formed offspring of my feeble brain,
Who after birth didst by my side remain,
Till snatched from thence by friends, less wise than true,
Who thee abroad, exposed to public view,
Made thee in rags, halting to th’ press to trudge,
Where errors were not lessened (all may judge).
At thy return my blushing was not small,
My rambling brat (in print) should mother call,
I cast thee by as one unfit for light,
The visage was so irksome in my sight;
Yet being mine own, at length affection would
Thy blemishes amend, if so I could.
I washed thy face, but more defects I saw,
And rubbing off a spot still made a flaw.
I stretched thy joints to make thee even feet,
Yet still thou run’st more hobbling than is meet;
In better dress to trim thee was my mind,
But nought save homespun cloth i’ th’ house I find.
In this array ‘mongst vulgars may’st thou roam.
In critic’s hands beware thou dost not come,
And take thy way where yet thou art not known;
If for thy father asked, say thou hadst none;
And for thy mother, she alas is poor,
Which caused her thus to send thee out of door.

Anne Bradstreet

Anne Bradstreet wrote in the Elizabethan literary tradition and became one of the first poets to write English verse in the American colonies
Writers and poets sometimes pen down what lurks in their subconscious and become afraid the vulnerability of print.I think most of us share this.I experienced this fact after I wrote my poem No ****** no ***!
why do some poems enjoy a mammoth hit but no comment?I think even if readers appreciate some poems they become afraid to associate themselves with the theme, which may be considered as a taboo .I also wonder why some poems are treated with a cold shoulder in some blogs and enjoy appreciation in others. Is it because a difference of taste?
Anyway the aforementioned poem has given me a good lesson; what about you?If you are interested on this issue goggle and read about psychoanalytical criticism and reader response criticism.Thank you for your patience

The better evil
Intimidated by political thugs
Prone to insert in one's mouth
The nose of a loaded gun
Or suspend a plastic bottle full of water
On males' reproductive *****,
Devoid of freedom of expression
Also denied  to his right and
Deplorable condition drawing attention
Shunning his God chosen land,
What is more a bright and warm country
Under the sun ,a journalist dreaming began
Fighting all odds between
The deep blue sea and the angry Satan
To migrate to a better place,
Where for democracy
Avowedly there is a better space,
Inhabited by civilized people,
Averse to discrimination based on race!

Burning his boat,
Crossing desserts,
Crammed with other refugees,
Packed with him in a boat
Some trying  to reverse
Their economic lot,
Surfing uncharted waters
Seeking a paradise on earth
He headed to the country he sought
Though some their lives
At the hand of brutal traffickers lost
Beaten and thrown out of the boat,
Also at a port
Suspected of a terrorist bent
Many migrants to prisons were sent.

After a humiliating acid test
Why for a dreamland his country he left
As migrants' bane
They placed him at the foot
Of an ice-clad mountain.
“I will never see
My country again,
You are trying my patience in vain!"
He vowed
Despite the razor-sharp cold untold.

Then they took him up higher
An epitome to a cold fire!
Once more
He put his foot down
Putting on more clothes and
Changing attire.

They placed him
At the mountain's helm
As hell dark
Where the angel of death
Is seen stark.

Then in his head
Something began to bark
“*You rather choose
the better evil
If both your assailants and hosts
Are no two different devil! *"

Seeing first hand
Those with cold shoulder
Assylem seekers adore to attack
Though there are
Few not off humanity's track
At last he decided to return back
And under his country's sun bask
Mum for his rights to ask
Killing his journalistic knack!
About refugees mostly heading from Africa to Scandinavian countries Europe Arab countries and America.I want your feedback before I send it for group publication
O child of war, preserve your weapon,
For  future children let it stay,
For they will come and ask their question
What was the world like in our day?

For them, born under stars more lucky,
It will be hard to understand
How could the sky have been exploded
While battles raged on see and land?

How,flowing black with blood,could rivers
Rock,bridges bombs had battered down
They'll never see it-as you never
Saw sunshine in the world around.

Preserve your weapon,little eagles,
Of many battle it will tell
Of days ferocious and heroic
For grandson to remember well.

(Storms Bring Out the Eagles But The Little Birds
Take Cover )
When the “storms of life” gather darkly ahead,
I think of these wonderful words I once read
And I say to myself as “threatening clouds” hover
Don’t “fold up your wings” and “run for cover”
But like the eagle “spread wide your wings”
and “soar far above” the trouble life brings,
For the eagle knows that the higher he flies
The more tranquil and brighter become the skies...
And there is nothing in life God ever asks us to
bear
That we can’t soar above “On The Wings Of A
Prayer,”
And in looking back over the “storm you passed
through”
You’ll find you gained strength and new courage,
too,
For in facing “life’s storms” with an eagles wings
You can fly far above earth’s small, petty things.

Uplifting poems
Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain,
Laughter and pleasure, tear-drops and pain;
All days can’t be bright, but it’s certainly true,
There was never a cloud the sun didn’t shine
through.
So just keep on smiling whatever betide you,
Secure in the knowledge God is always beside
you.
And you’ll find when you smile your day will be
brighter
and all your burdens will seem so much lighter.
For each time you smile you will find it is true
SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE will smile back at
YOU!
And nothing on earth Can make life more worth-
while
than the sunshine and warmth of a BEAUTIFUL
SMILE

Stop Licking A Wound!
Cute girl, a dove
You grew up expectant
Of an inviolable love.

But,know there are things
You should, such as
Unfold the unexpected could.

Cute girl, ingratiatingly enjoying
A green light
To the citadel of your girlhood
At the height of your virginal beauty
Holding you close ****
Adept in creating the required mood,
A fickle womanizer may
Suddenly leave you for good!

Sister you should have
Seen through
Mr. Fickle's lack of personal
Integrity and internal beauty.

So cute girl ,please brush aside
Your self pity packed song
"My love for Mr.Fickle,who adorned
with my chastity, is
matchless and strong!"

Also cute girl , know you should
Punishing Mr.Fiddle
For Mr.Fickle's mistake
Is the worst displacement
You could make.

Thus cute girl
Better focus on the fact
You will be an efficacious cure
To a genuine lover yearning
For you  with a heart pure!

The love lorn
Mr.Fidel,probably
Injured by Miss.Fickle,
Terribly clamors for your help
To nurse him and
To get him back in shape.

The past you will
Cease to rewind
Soul and body
With lovelorn Mr.Fiddle
When you get entwined!

When pricked with a thorn
Barefooted farmers
Pull out the thorn
With a thorn
So cute girl pull out
The ungrateful Mr.Fickle
With the grateful Mr.Fiddle
That way the problem
You could settle!
It is not uncommon to observe most innocent girls suffer a blow when jilted by less genuine boy friends. It takes them long to get out of that mood, which could have a hanging over effect to a second love

How To Tell A Fool
A snake bites a fool twice
'It is this one that stung me once! '
To show when he makes advance.
Lifestyle, not learning from wrong turns! An Amharic proverb.
Mom is such
A special word
The loveliest
I've ever heard.

A toast to you
Above all the rest
Mom, you're
So special
You are simply
the best!

What do I owe to you
Who loved me deep and long?
You never gave my spirit wings
Nor gave my heart a song.
But oh, to him I loved,
Who loved me not at all,
I owe the open gate
That leads through heaven’s wall!

A king born
Once upon a time

There was an old king

Who used to worry

About one thing

'Surely one day

I will pass away!'

As many me advise

Among my sons

The wise

An  heir

Must take over

To govern

My subjects better.

Next to God,

To corporeal things

Who is above,

I want to check

The strength of

My sons' filial love.

Thus his sons he called

To “How much

do you love me? ”  respond.

Answered the elder

“I love you like honey

That has no parallels any!”

He won the warm laughter

Of his father.

“I love you like sugar

Could honey be any better?”

Answered the second

Thus a corner

He succeeded to cut

In his father's heart.

“I love you like a salt,

For there is no fault

As missing this ingredient

In any dish

We want to relish!”

Said the youngest

Proving the wisest.

“Come over here

Take over my throne

You are a king born!”

Replied the king

Feeling

From his heart

The lifting

Up of something!
The best tale I heard while a kid
Sir,I admit your general rule,
That every poet is a fool,
But you yourself may serve to show it
That every fool is not a poet.

On the frying pan
Unzip a snow-white teeth
A popcorn can
On the frying pan!

Confronted by
Circumstances dark,
I learned,  with optimism,
Crushed spirits and strength-
sapping moods to mask.

Adopted I applying
Pop operation of the stack
Or relegating gloomy things
To memory's back!
See opportunity from calamity. As we have to avoid some foods for health reasons we have to avoid dark toughts.

A Herd Mentality
If one pulls
A sheep astray
The flock is sure
To move that way.

To fish in a troubled water
De-constructing history
Thwart we could
The old social fabric of unity
And create we shall
A generation
Suffering a crisis of identity!

“Ask me not why
They are better than
My  peers and I
Also sensitize me not to deny,
What I see with my naked eye!
In attire,grooving,life style ,
Cosmetic application and civilization
They galvanize youth's attention!”

Come up with a generation
We shall
That does not bat an eye
Our dictates to buy,
A generation that does barter
An age-old culture
With fads,for such a venture
Proves  to it an adventure.

To achieve what we terribly sought
If we use somebody of note
Fame that has got
Say an artist or a poet
The mob will not
Fight-shy to drink a lot
From our poison ***
Without a grain of salt
“God doesn't exist "
Could be top on the list!
Alas, we could say  “Worship us!"
"Forget the Key And Lock theory!
Why should you worry?"

Or social and religious  norms
We could rock
With *“A lock could lock a lock
even in a wedlock!”
For an Ethiopian poet who recently debased his soul for monetary rewards.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is ******, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Yes we must no give hand to despair come what may!
Your hearts are filled with happiness so great and over-
flowing
You cannot comprehend it, for it’s far beyond all knowing
How any heart could hold such joy or feel the fullness of
The wonder and the glory and the ecstasy of love.
You wish that you could capture it and never let it go
So you might walk forever in its magic, radiant glow.
And love in all its ecstasy is such a fragile thing,
Like gossamer in cloudless skies or a hummingbird’s
small wing.
And love that lasts forever must be made of something
strong-
The kind of strength that’s gathered when the heart can
hear no song.
When the sunshine of your wedding day runs into stormy
weather,
and hand in hand you brave the gale and climb steep
hills together,
And, clinging to each other while the thunder rolls above,
You seek divine protection in faith and hope and love.
For days of wine and roses never make love’s dreams
come true-
It takes sacrifice and teardrops and problems shared by
two
To give true love its beauty, its grandeur, and its fi-
nesse,
And to mold an earthly ecstasy into heavenly divine-
ness.

Realizing His kingdom
Foolishly bold
Abnegating God

Famous by
A negative association
Is moral degradation.

The beginning of wisdom
Is realizing His kingdom.

Lack is not
What denied me luck
Rather luck is what I lack!

Yet I craft poems a lot
To change  my lot
God willing
One day to hit
Poetry contests' jackpot!
Talent without perseverance and chance does noting
There is a lady sweet and kind

I did but see her passing by
And yet I love her till I die.
Her gesture,motion,and her smiles,
Her wit,her voice my heart beguiles,
Beguiles my heart,I know not why
And yet I love her till I die.

Her country so my love doth change
But change she earth or change she sky,
Yet will I love her till I die!

Fetching Water With A Sieve
Expect us not to believe
You could miraculously fetch
Water with a sieve!

Till we return to dust
You, nothing better than a rust,
Could not quench our thirst.

Collecting taxes
Without combing out lechers
That spare not even the broke
Or the stone to siphon
Rather has an impact adverse,
For it is allowing few
Nation's wealth unfairly amass
At a cost of harm to
The credulous and
For air gasping broad mass!
Tax in  most developing countries infested by rent seekers.Tax is enforced but tax out flow is shrouded in mystery.
Though in dexterity my  physically challenged  carpenter father,
Than  the physically fit proves better,as a source to his anger,
With contemporaries a level ground  he enjoyed never!

From late childhood there was one thing that me used to bother,  why my so discriminated father
On his turn true to cultural dictates, ill treats my domestic chores saddled mother
And heeds not her say though by the sweat of their brow
As responsible parents they were happily bringing my sister and I together?

I still wonder why ,why ,why my sister who has IQ
On par with me if not better,to help out mother
Suffering a cold shoulder even by her mom was denied the  right to pursue education further
While I was given a chance to prove a man of letter(s)?

I remember, crossing many a pool, barefooted, I used to trek
A long distance to a nearby town's a  school,
Where for my  provincial and shabby clothes I was seen a fool
By the relatively rich  in showing courtesy far from cool.
Though stationery they didn't lack , sad,I had a hand tied behind my back.

Alas,up on joining campus where I yearned for the sagacious a chance
There too  in my class,I was looked down by students
Hailing from families of the top brass.

When I went abroad for a higher education enjoying fellowship and donation
Worse still, I met many, colour has coloured whose vision.
Ironically my dissertation was drawing attention
To why should the broad mass be standers by
And with ill-fate marked die
While the favoured ,racist and the corrupt few gobble over 3/4 of the pie? /
Discrimination based on disability, gender(Husband and wife, son and daughter, ).towners and provincial lads, the haves and have nots, the colored and others wise and inequitable distribution wealth. I need your feedback.I prepared this poem as per OXFAM ideals  on inequality

Ego-rocking words
It will be futile
To gather you into my arm
While my virility with
Ego-rocking words  you harm!
Before rushing to conjugal felicity lovers have to do ego massaging work or they have to sweet talk their lovers to bed
On top of my labour
In the farmyard
I often proffer you
Milk, cheese, manure and hide
To render grand
Your life,
Then how come
You express
Your gratitude
With a knife?
A punitive measure may await one while expecting a reward.
Like an ox or a cow.which in a developing country are used for ploughing purpose
She stood breast high amid the corn
Clasp’d by the golden light of morn,
Like the sweetheart of the sun,
Who many a glowing kiss had won.
On her cheek an autumn flush,
Deeply ripen’d;—such a blush
In the midst of brown was born,
Like red poppies grown with corn.
Round her eyes her tresses fell,
Which were blackest none could tell,
But long lashes veil’d a light,
That had else been all too bright.
And her hat, with shady brim,
Made her tressy forehead dim;—
Thus she stood amid the stooks,
Praising God with sweetest looks:—
Sure, I said, Heav’n did not mean,
Where I reap thou shouldst but glean,
Lay thy sheaf adown and come,
Share my harvest and my home.

Yes original, natural or organic beauty is superb
My love is like to ice, and I to fire
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
Or how comes it that my exceeding heat
Is not allayed by her heart-frozen cold,
But that I burn much more in boiling sweat,
And feel my flames augmented manifold?
What miraculous thing may be told,
That fire,which all things melts,
Should harden ice,
And ice, which is congealed with senseless cold,
Should kindle fire by wonderful device?
Such is the power of love in gentle mind,
That it can alter all the courses of kind.
