Why do I love poetry, why does your poetry fascinate me so?

There is no specific rhyme or reason, why I love poetry. Except words Love, words,
way you string those words together.
Makes a rainy day feel like sunny weather

Sunshine dreams
smiling at me,

Ocean, sand
&
a poet
&
A starry night

California dreams
A delight!

Song of seduction,
Summer's night in Paradise
A nightingale sings

Our
Kiss of
illumination
transports us love
Where we lie upon sands
soaking in warmth of Sunlight
With a cool exotic pineapple drink

Wisdom is a beautiful thing
And given to a famous King
And Queen
Wisdom is knowing difference
From Right and Wrong
and acting accordingly
Wisdom!

Through a portal in the flowing sands of time
We travel back into history,  1849
Where we find an intriguing man
who can pen a nice line!

He was no craven, he flew with a raven
And you're wondering who is this man
Everyone know the master of poetry
Edgar Allan Poe ☆

Alas, we find Poe upon the streets
        Of Baltimore, all alone
in severe distress
Gasp in strange clothes dressed
        And none were his own!

Astonished were we and deathly ill was he
And not misbehavin'
   Only unshaven!

Swiftly he's whisked away to a hospital
             Washington College!

Whereupon four days later
the grim reaper greets him,
"Hello, Mr. Poe!"

simply
ink
splattered
fantasies
solely
of
our
imagination
and
dreams?

Shhh, heart be silent
never speaketh thy sweet word

this glowing moon to possess

O' crescent moon, O' half moon
O' Supermoon
O' moon of July of romance


This moon has an amazing attraction
And leaves me feeling
More than a little obsessed

When my momma left me alone
This frightened me so
I cried and cried

When I entered kindergarten
at age five

This traumatizing major event
changed my whole life
My mother I miss her so

Some dreams leave me filled with
wonder and adventure
Like packing only one piece of luggage
and saying "come with me, take my hand
Let's go away, get lost and chase our dreams
Let's go visit the Stars, just you and I
Let's go see the world"

Leaves change colors
Drop to earth
Snow on a mountain
Soon rebirth
And Life goes on

Hi sunglasses, hi swimsuit
Hi sandals, hi seashells,
hi sandcastles
Hi sunlight, hi sailboat
       Hi seagulls in flight
Hi scuba gear, Hi starfish
Hi waves upon an ocean
Hi beach towel, Hi golden sand
Hi coconut lotion
Hi cool refreshment
Come with me to the Sea

Our world is in trouble, not just rising prices
Famine, drought, and Co2 polluted skies
Look close and quickly jump off the tracks
Our population has spread like wildfire
Quite frightening, with no solution in sight
How can we stop this crazy train tonight?
7.4 Billion and counting soon to be 9.8 B
As every celebrity is blessed with Twins
A phenomenonal occurence? a coincidence?
Oops double pleasure, Double mint gum?
Anyway we have questions with no answers
How is mother earth going to care for us?
Supply us with water,  food and clothing?
Can we vacuum the Co2, leaving our sky clean?
Will tomorrow be a nightmare or a Dream?
Oh poets, our future awaits to be seen..

Pink flowers and blue satin flowers
My pepsi zero and my sister hero
Together will brighten my night

And tomorrow, sweet tomorrow
An exquisite masterpiece of delight
Sunshine, rainbows and smiles

Honeysuckle, fireflies
Red roses, starry skies
Splash in a pool,
stay cool
And Enjoy ice Tea

Please, please, please God help
I'm wearing a big nice smile
and I'm positive

Solely your heart love
that captured my attention
your sweet heart alone

Internet spider
spinning silken filaments

Dear winter, I miss, miss, miss you
I miss the way you make me feel
like I'm the most special one you adore
as when you come, and kiss me true
kissing me all over,
turning me blue

Dear winter, I miss the way you chill me
chilling me to the bone
when you wrap your arms around me
hugging me close, hugging me tight
almost every day
and every night

Dancing honeybees
would understand my desire
when I kiss your lips

When I look upon
the beauty
of a Cherokee rose;
a marvelous
creation
of silky petals
and a Sun,
I see something
truly magnificent,
I see a world
of People
united,
not divided
humanity
standing together
at any cost,
where Beauty resides  
  and all is not lost,
A peaceful world
of no more death
and no more war,
where love is love
and peace is peace,
and alas, my visions
of world peace
and one love
infuse me with hope
whenever I look upon
a beautiful flower
known as a Cherokee Rose

star lovers unite
july 7th; amidst the stars
their kiss, forever

Two beautiful stars of the night, Capricorn and Lyra
Capricorn tending to his herd minding his own business
Lyra, a daughter of the sun weaving and spinning
Father the sun king notices, and has become pleased

Alas, married forever, so enchanting was their love
a love of sweet fairytales, finally days and nights
were both one of excitement, no more business
and no more weaving or spinning of garments

These days were for play, and love, and happiness
and no silly lover could be more foolish than she
until father the sun king becomes a little vexed
does he wish for her to remain, mild and gentle?

Alas, Capricornus and Lyra's smiles finally vanished
as father the sun king ordered them separated
and quickly places a river of stars between them
and longing in their hearts

Still a glimmer of hope for their love continues
as father gifts them with one special night
of reuniting,
the seventh night of the seventh month

This special occasion of the year they will meet
with their hearts overflowing with love
and to promise to wait another year
as they comfort each other with endless kisses
alas, star-lovers an unconventional love story
