The sun rays invade the hall
Swathing the floor with warmth
Artifacts of yesteryear look grand
The stained glasses add to the aura
Reminiscing the magnificence
Resounding voices of commands
So many at the beck and call
Slightest whisper was authority
Twilight descended on the dynasty
Sun rays reminding the past
All faces but remains in portraits
Years ago, the tales that transpired
Writ all over the walls and artifacts
Glorious past lit up by morning rays

Today is yesterday’s future
And future comes too soon
Past is ephemeral
Present real
Future illusion
Blurred lines
Of demarcations
It’s just life
Without the divide
Time’s a shackle
Never mind
The hassles

Repose on the dreams
Cushioning your thoughts
Soft touch of soul’s assurance
Nurturing the chosen path
Willful traveler will step out
Leaving footprints on life
Soaring higher and higher
Embrace the pinnacle of life
Once you repose faith
On the wonderful dreams
Pleasant reality
Will open the window
To the world

Hold on to sanity
Understand the chaos
The core is stable
Ignore the peripheral fracas
Whirlwind of ideas
Guarded by faulty premises
Nurtured for long

Listen to the intent
Look beyond the edges
Cacophony of hearts
Drowns the sanity
Hold on little longer
Sanity will prevail

The flowers that bloomed
In the garden solitary
Paying homage to times gone by
Deeply rooted is the love
Blossoming on the faces of flowers
Happiness is in their subtle swaying
Even the wind joins the play
Fragrant reminders of the past
As I walk through the garden
Feeling the love that embraces me

Words pull your mind
In different directions
Brilliantly adorned
Yet lacking soul
Words are distractions
To true feelings
Vociferous and audible
Sounds too hollow
Gives in under anxiety
Weighs on minds
Graceful distortions
Veneer of meanings
Expresses everything
Except the truth

The ways of the heart
Misunderstood by the
Wayward ways of the world
None, but the heart
That’s simple and pristine
Without the guile and deceit
Can understand the heart
True feelings and emotions
Every chamber a prayer hall
Where chants of mantras
Reverberates through the veins
Purity of life- force flows through
Takes you to a new awakening
Hallowed path of being
Synchronistic beats, a realization

Each one of you have given me a new perspective
Sitting at the corner of my library, I have seen the world
Everyone of you have opened up to me
So that I could decipher the true meaning behind every words
Every picture registered in the canvas of my mind
I turned every page like an eager child
All of you have been my true companion
No matter the seasons and the year
I always looked at my collection with pride
Every one of you donning an interesting cover
From cover to cover, the pages sleeping in silence
Waiting for me to uncover with love, the way of the world
Every one of you had a different creator, who sacrificed you
It is such a sacrificial ritual for a writer, to reach out to readers like me
It pains them not, but is proud to depart with their possession
Filling you with all the tales and explanations of various themes
Through the centuries, books are a playing a vital role
It’s an art how you read them; read between the lines to decipher the true meaning
Now, I stand proudly in front of the shelves, which showcases my wealth

Beatific sun kisses the night goodbye
The Morning Glory is in full bloom
In the tribute of another beautiful day
Azure blue petals kissed by morning dew
There hopes bloom where the soul smiles
Beautiful silence ushers a precious gift
Another beautiful day

You may have heard many stories
But there are stories within you
Waiting to be told to the listener
Who can listen without judging
Stories that transpire gradually
When you have the right words
To describe the exact feelings
Emotions close to the heart
Will one day be laid out
In form of a story
To the concerned listener
Who can connect with you
Through the stories
A heart to heart talk
With the concerned audience

In the muddy waters
he sees a reflection of himself
but not even a splash of dirt on him

Why feel miserable
When you have a choice
Don’t let your guard down
Fend off the barrage of accusations
Wanting to make you feel-
Depressed
Degraded
Disparaged
Defeated
Turn away from the intimidation
When you can live big
Not let someone belittle your mind
And the big heart
That beats with love
For yourself and dear ones
Indomitable, the soul is
And you are a formidable force
To break those iron grips
Shatter their wrongdoing
And give yourself a chance
Life awaits you
And it’s beautiful out there

Once the land that was lush green
Has turned into an arid land
Stripping the vast landscape everyday
Taking the covers off
Leaving bare the heart of serenity
Brooks and rivers running dry
Leaving trails of devastation
Trees ripped off from the roots
A part of land dies everyday
Not a drop of tear to shed
The agony of barrenness
Stares through the cracked soul
Lost days of glory
Now ashamed of its shadow
No one can feel the agony
Only to be left alone, in oblivion

There’s no holding back
A traveler who wants to explore
And eager to build bridges
Across the turbulent waters
Connecting the consciousness
Who waits eagerly

There is too much commotion
And the mind feels violated
Consciousness is hijacked
With stark reality being fed
Every waking hour
The mental borders struck down
By the brute forces
Driving it towards insanity
Derision of the thoughts
It’s totally exposed to abuse
Now, only rely on subconscious
To draw a mental map
Of the escape route
Towards the path of silence
Away from the commotion
And find sanity again

When I take a dip in the water
I merge with its calmness
Washing me off everyday grime
Flowing serenely around me
Carrying away my past
Helping me realize the silence
Which the water carries within
It’s a union with fluidity
Making me more considerate
To cut off the noise of the world
And flow at my own pace
The dip in the water
Washed away my anxiety
Now tranquility flows within

The secluded heart
Got a patient listening
Invoking feelings

Leaving the verdant valley
The brook with fresh water
Cutting across the greens
Where acorns gifted oaks
Could not quench my thirst
Shades of oaks seemed weary
Started the journey away
From the tranquil paradise
Looking for crystal rocks
Lacerating my feet, as I climb
No shades and clear water
Harsh sun and putrid air
Leaving me exhausted
Dreaming of my valley again
I have come too far
Away from all the quietude
Looking for precious crystals
Dazzled over my greedy mind
Leaving behind paradise
Now wandering through bareness

Get closer to yourself
Craving for your attention and care
The heart beats for you first
As you become aware of the world
Welcoming you to the celestial space
Carrying your beautiful soul
With all the pristine feelings intact
Ready to face the world and start living
In this chapter, don’t forget yourself
Pull yourself closer to your inner self

Everywhere there is darkness descending
Gradually threatening to take over humanity
The only audible voices is of grievance
Diminishing light of the eyes; only vices visible
The parasitic dodder has destroyed crops
Pests and locusts have abducted the grains
Starvation is causing uproar amongst people
Waterways and the fresh rivers are contaminated
Every drop of water has turned to poison
We are all exhausted and smothered with desperation
Covered in dust and mud, the minds are all paralyzed
The sun’s rays now obliterated the ozone layer
Ultraviolet rays now degenerating us faster
Ocean’s have breached the lands at alarming rates
As if rubbing salt over our wounds and despair
There is anarchy, protest and resentment everywhere
All humanity is up against nature, trying to salvage
The last remaining hope to save this Earth

Shed some light
On the deepest corners of the mind
So many thoughts still in darkness
Not being acknowledged
For fear of being misunderstood
Injustice meted out to them
Maybe those thoughts
Can transform the present
Give them a chance
And realize what lies within

Writing poetry is a Zen moment
Emptying yourself of words
Concentrating on the bank pages
Cleansing the soul as words flow
Spiritually making you aware
To be a worthy listener
Empty coffers can hold more feelings
And poetry shall flow eternally

Out beyond all that are seen and felt
Looking out for what maybe or could be
That never has been experienced before
The quiet imagery that’s been painted
Which traverses the line of conformity
Surrealism seems to take over
Decoding the new found reality

Not a possession

The heart is young
And the soul beautiful
Light shines through
The transparent moments
Beauty is what we seek
And it follows us
Beautiful thoughts elate
Dreams help us to fly
And make a difference
Let’s embrace the beauty
Abundant of love, always
We want to leave a gift
Worthy of the future generation
Let love rule within
And we can die beautiful
Peace shall reign supreme
