i wonder if i'll ever see
anything as breath taking
and self shrinking as the
sight i caught, looking at
the sun hiding behind her
with it's rays surrounding
her figure, highlighting her
champagne bubble laugh

the summer and i both
have a crush on her
we made a fire and went swimming. stayed outside till 5 in the morning. i think i was boring her while i soaked in the smell of chlorine and burning logs. i've never loved summer like this before, and i've never realized how fond i am of one of my best friends. both of these new likings could be very dangerous to my well being, and fantastic for my art. let's see.

God bless America.
I woke up today to the ring of Freedom.
I pledged my allegiance
To this country and it’s people.

Today we celebrate our nation.
The place we all call home.
The place where it all started,
Where democracy had grown.

We fought an eight year war,
To achieve a free way of life,
And we are still fighting to this day,
To keep freedom alive.

Today we celebrate
So gather your friends and family
And say thanks to our soldiers,
And say hi to lady liberty.

Tonight we light fireworks
And gaze up at the night sky,
As freedom literally explodes
Right in front of your eyes.

I’m proud to be an American,
I hope you are too.
I’ll flash the Stars and Stripes forever,
I bleed Red, White, and Blue.

The 4th of July.
Every American is supposed to be full of pride.
But I'm not, and do you wanna know why?

We're not really free

We've got people laying on the streets
And only caring about our treats and cleats.
Half of the people I know can't get married
And people who are alive are being buried.

Yes, it is the day we won our independence
But I'm afraid that we lost that a long time ago.

Freedom is the day when my best friend can walk down the aisle
Freedom is when we can choose our lifestyle.
People are so blind calling this country free

If we are free,
Then why aren't we allowed to be who we want to be?

I remember the first time we said hi
You complimented my shirt
Then said goodbye.
I remember the first day I came over
We went to bed drunk
And woke up hung-over.
I remember the day I asked you out
I remember that smile
I remember that night out.
It was the fourth of July
An oh so magical night.
Before the arguments and before the fights.
I remember thinking how lucky I was
I remember how all night we hugged.
The fireworks shined bright like your eyes,
I had to have been the luckiest guy alive.
I held your hand that entire day,
I remember how the skies turned gray,
But with you by my side,
It was like the sun stilled shined.
That day I made you mine,
I wish, I wish you were still mine.
Cottonwood falling,
A snow in July,
Filling the air with fluffy flakes
And covering the world with
White fuzziness.
We're riding,
Just as fast as we can,
Racing,
Stirring up the drifts
While the wind blows the avalanche closer.
I feel warm,
Being so close to you and the sun.
A warm snow--
Don't you think that's ironic?
I love the snow,
I love your heat.
My heart is going as fast as we are,
Fifty, Sixty, Seventy miles an hour.
I embrace you closer,
This thrill of a panicking soul,
It's magic.
Keep me in this illusion of a
Peaceful time.
Lift me sky high,
Let me fall in warmth like this
Snow in July.
I feel so free,
So young and bright eyed,
A naive star
In a Hollywood movie.
Let's get out of this small town,
Let's make new memories together.
I want to see the world,
I want to see the highlight,
With our song,
The one where we sing along.
Tonight,
Our love is a song,
A soundtrack to
A snow in July.
We can see the world
Together.
No need for others to ruin our
Loving silence.

Doors slamming
And people yelling
Are two sounds that I
Prefer not to hear
Dark water
And boats
Make me feel
Afraid
Fire works
Pop Pop Pop
I ******* hate fireworks
They're stupid
And loud
And bring up bad memories
And on fourth of july
I hear those fire works
Coming from every direction
I sink deeper into myself
But out of my body
Away from everyone and myself
Forget forget forget
Then I feel selfish for wanting to forget
None of my friends understand what these things do to me
I'm sorry for not going to the beach at night
Or wanting to sneak into abandoned buildings
I'm sorry for crying when we went off-roading in your jeep
I'm sorry all I want to do is sit in my bed
And watch movies to distract myself from the
disturbing thoughts in my head

Summer.
is a time of Happiness.
When Smiles.
and Laughter.
come with Old friends.
and New.
where Joy.
can be experienced by crying at Weddings.
and cuddles and story-telling during Bonfires.
where Fireworks bring devious pranks and silly danger.
when the beautiful Flowers bloom.
and the Beach is calling your name.
a time when the Water feels good on your feet.
and the Sun warms your skin.
a time when Love is in the air.
and Strangers become lovers.
where Home is a destination.
and Adventure is the key motivation.

5 am in mid July
and the sun is raising
golden trails in sky
and in the pools, following the
golden signet's flaming
vapour trails which, in polka-
dotted summer spawn, calm
the water's satin, rippled peaks.
Subsiding and gliding
into the stillness of emerald pond.
The signets move to the glistening
side of the river bank,
shafts of light catching
the lens forging ghostly
golden sickles
which lengthen
amongst the dust hovering
aglow above silver cove
and English lagoon.
The slight twist of weather
Rain, sunshine, and clouds
Whispers in the air
To increase gradually or calm down
The rain pitter patters on the tin roof
The clouds scurry over in a ****
Continuing on just for a short while
And then trails along the sun shining with a smile
April fades and May swings by
Then summer comes, June and July
This poem is in the season of April and is talking about the transitional weather patterns and how often Spring tends to fly by.
